Description

[0001] The invention relates to a connection system and a device for connecting two components. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] It is common practice in timber engineering, particularly for heavy-duty connections, to connect, for example, main and cross beams, using fittings that are attached to the structural elements in the workshop and, if necessary, delivered prefabricated to the construction site. The fittings are screwed to the structural elements and are designed to allow the components to be connected by interlocking the fittings.

[0003] Such a connection system is described in EP 4 350 094 A1. This connection system consists of two fittings, each of which is made up of two individual parts. Even with the greatest care, it is not possible to carry out the pre-assembly in such a way that these fittings ensure a smooth final assembly, since the joining of the components cannot be precisely specified by the fittings.

[0004] Fittings are already known from US 924 912, which consist of two parts, each of which is mechanically attached to a component so that they can be hooked into each other by means of the fittings.

[0005] DE 44 21 398 describes a fitting for connecting components in a butt joint, consisting of fitting elements with a substantially rectangular cross-section and a predetermined thickness, wherein a first fitting half formed from the fitting elements is fastened to the surface of a first component to be connected, and a second fitting half formed from the fitting elements is fastened to the surface or preferably in a recess of a second component to be connected. The fitting elements each have a cranked connecting tongue with an offset. The offset corresponds to the thickness of a fitting element and ensures that the connecting tongues engage with one another without play and with a positive fit. When hanging the components, the connecting sections of the fitting parts must be precisely aligned. This is hardly possible in practice.

[0006] EP 3 985 189 A1 describes a connector for two workpieces, with two fittings, each having a mounting side for a workpiece and an opposite connecting side, on which they can be hooked into one another in a hooking direction running parallel to the connecting side, wherein each fitting has on its connecting side a shoulder running transversely to the hooking direction over its entire width with an undercut which leaves a web on the shoulder, and its end face remote from the shoulder and adjacent to the connecting side has a lip running transversely to the hooking direction over its entire width and adjacent to the connecting side, and wherein in a first hooked-in position of the fittings the lip of each fitting engages in the undercut of the other fitting. Here, too, the necessary geometries are required for the fittings to be hooked together, which not only complicates the coupling process but also results in complicated production of the individual parts.

[0007] The existing fittings are complex to manufacture because they require mechanical processing. Furthermore, the existing connection systems lack features that absorb transverse forces or prevent the connections from becoming accidentally unhooked. TASK

[0008] The present invention is based on the object of improving the known connection systems as a whole by simplifying the coupling process and securing the connection with simple means against transverse and lifting forces.

[0009] This object is achieved by a connection system according to the proposed claim 1 and a device according to claim 2.

[0010] Further advantageous details and embodiments of the invention as well as further developments and variants are apparent from the dependent claims and the drawing explained below. ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION

[0011] According to the invention, a connection system for connecting two components is proposed, consisting of two fittings which can be connected to one another and with screws by means of which the fittings are mechanically fastened to a component in each case and the components with the mounted fittings are then hooked into one another and the fittings engage in a form-fitting manner.

[0012] The invention is characterized in that, after the fittings have been hooked into one another, each is penetrated by at least one screw which is anchored in the component to which the adjacent fitting is attached, thus providing security against transverse shear and lifting. This eliminates the need for further securing measures which would require additional fastening elements in addition to the screws. Because the inventive measure for securing against transverse shear and lifting takes place after the fittings attached to the components to be connected have been hooked in, the fastening elements used for this purpose only ever penetrate one of the fittings. Any transverse shear that occurs in a component is thus transferred solely to the transverse shear securing element and not to the adjacent fitting.

[0013] The invention also proposes a device for the system according to the invention, which serves to connect two components, consisting of two fittings which can be connected to one another and with screws by means of which the fittings are mechanically fastened to a respective component, and wherein the fittings have a largely identical geometry and each have a stop surface on one side and an approximately wave-shaped surface on the opposite side, and which have a suspension means on one of their end faces and a receiving means on their opposite end faces, so that the fittings, which are directed towards one another with their wave surfaces and of which one fitting is rotated by 180° so that their originally upper end face is positioned at the position of the originally lower end face, can be adapted to one another in a form-fitting manner.

[0014] The invention is characterized in that the fittings have a transverse shear and lift-off protection.

[0015] The fittings have an identical geometry, as they are manufactured from an extruded profile and cut to length. For vertically aligned fittings, a pair of fittings is used by turning one fitting horizontally by 180° and the other by 180°, so that the initially upper end edge then faces downwards. Compared to conventional fittings, this significantly simplifies production and eliminates the need for complex post-processing.

[0016] Preferably, the transverse shear and lift-off protection is formed by at least one screw penetrating the respective fitting, which is anchored in the component to which the adjacent fitting is attached. Securing a beam connection with this measure not only prevents unintentional lifting and unwanted displacement, but also ensures improved force transmission, since both fastening elements are attached to both components by a positive fit and a friction fit.

[0017] Preferably, at least one screw seat is provided in the end face of the fittings for the screw used to secure the transverse and anti-lifting elements. The end faces are accessible even after the components have been suspended, allowing for prior alignment before final fastening.

[0018] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the screw seat is formed by a triangular recess with sloping flanks, of which the flank closest to the component to which the adjacent fitting is attached is penetrated by a hole that defines the screw-in axis for the transverse and anti-lifting protection. The screw seat can be provided with a recess so that the head of the screw is countersunk.

[0019] For this purpose, it is preferred that the hole extends orthogonally through the flank. This provides the screw with an inclined driving direction, preferably at a 45° angle.

[0020] Preferably, the wave-shaped surfaces have apex sections on which both fittings rest against each other. The abutting surfaces within the component improve the force against the leverage of the beam to be connected and thus prevent buckling. Unlike known fittings with open gaps, the present invention has abutting surfaces. As a result, the resulting leverage acts not only on two connecting surfaces but on the entire component. Furthermore, this inventive design ensures a more stable positive connection, preventing wobbling.

[0021] Preferably, the wave-shaped surfaces have sole sections, each of which forms at least one screw seat. The sole sections are flat and are interspersed with orthogonal holes, which in turn determine the screwing direction for the screws to be inserted there.

[0022] The invention preferably provides that the waves formed by the apex sections and sole sections have a trapezoidal cross-section and are connected by oblique flanks.

[0023] The sloped flanks have different angles of inclination, with some flanks sloping relatively gently and the adjacent flanks preferably at a 45° angle to the respective wave crest or base section. The gently sloping flanks support insertion during suspension. When the beams are connected on site, this can be difficult depending on the beam size, especially when a precise location must be achieved. In contrast, the invention's sloped surfaces allow for a completely natural insertion by simply placing the component and lowering it, rather than having to aim precisely.

[0024] Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description, the drawings, and the claims. There are various possibilities for advantageously embodying and developing the teachings of the present invention. Reference is made, on the one hand, to the subordinate claims and, on the other hand, to the following explanation of an embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawings. EXAMPLE OF IMPLEMENTATION

[0025] In conjunction with the explanation of the preferred embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawing, generally preferred embodiments and further developments of the teaching are also explained.

[0027] In Fig. 1 shows the device 1 according to the invention in its entirety. This consists of two fittings 10, 10a and the fastening elements 80, 90 (see Fig. 8-12) suitable screws 5, 5a, 6, 6a, 7, 7a.

[0028] Each fitting 10, 10a consists of a plate with a relatively smooth or essentially flat stop surface 12, 12a and an opposite wave-shaped surface 21, 21a. ( Fig. 4-7) Both fittings 10, 10a are cut from an extruded profile and therefore have a geometrically congruent geometry. This allows, for example, the second fitting 10a to be rotated by 180° and turned by 180°, with its wave-shaped surface 21a directed toward the wave-shaped surface 21 of the first fitting 10. Due to the 180° rotation, the originally upper end face is now positioned at the position of the originally lower end face, so that the receiving means 51 of the first fitting 10 faces the suspension means 71a of the second fitting 10a, and the suspension means 71 of the first fitting 10 faces the receiving means 51a of the second fitting 10a, and can be adapted to one another.

[0029] From the detail of the Fig. 1a and especially in the Fig. 5a and Fig. 7a and in Fig. This adaptation can be seen in detail in Figure 8. The receiving means 51 of the first fitting 10 is formed by a groove 72 in the end face 41 of the first fitting 10, so that a web 73 close to the opposite fitting 10a, together with an edge-side nose 74 close to the first component 80 and running parallel to the web 73, delimit the groove 72 in its longitudinal extent on both sides.

[0030] On the end face 61 of the first fitting 10 opposite the end face 41, a suspension means 71 is formed. This suspension means 71 is formed by an upwardly directed hook 75 and a groove 76 extending between the hook and the plate body. Furthermore, a triangular recess 78 is provided in the end face 61. This recess forms two inclined flanks 81 and 82, of which flank 81 forms a screw seat and is penetrated by holes 16.

[0031] The receiving means 51a of the second fitting 10a is formed by a groove 72a in its end face 41a, so that a web 73a close to the opposite fitting 10 together with an edge-side nose 74a close to the second component 90 and running parallel to the web 73a delimit the groove 72a in its longitudinal extent on both sides.

[0032] On the end face 61a of the second fitting 10a opposite the end face 41a, a suspension means 71a is formed. This suspension means 71a is formed by a downwardly directed hook 75a and a groove 76a extending between the hook and the plate body. Furthermore, a triangular recess 78a is provided in the end face 61a. This recess forms two inclined flanks 81a and 82a, of which flank 81a forms a screw seat and is penetrated by holes 16a.

[0033] The Fig. 8a shows the mirror-image design of the adaptation of both fittings 10 and 10a in the lower area.

[0034] The interaction between the suspension means 71, 71a and the receiving means 51, 51a allows for easy insertion and adaptation of the fittings 10, 10a. The beveled surfaces contribute significantly to this.

[0035] In Fig. The adaptation situation can be seen in Figure 8. On the construction site or in the workshop, the fittings 10, 10a are first screwed to the respective component 80, 90 and then connected to each other. The beveled surfaces allow for easy insertion, as a component only needs to be placed and lowered, instead of having to precisely target an opening.

[0036] On the one hand, this is ensured by the conical cross-sections of web 73 and nose 74 of the receiving means 51 of the first fitting 10 and groove 76a of the suspension means 71a of the second fitting 10a. On the other hand, so is the beveled surface 37a of the second fitting 10a. When the wave crest of the first fitting 10, located below web 73, strikes the upper wave crest of the second fitting 10a and the second component 90 is lowered, the web 73 automatically slides along the beveled surface 37a until the suspension means 71a has assumed its final position in the receiving means 51. At the same time, this assembly step also takes place in a mirror image between the fittings in the lower section.

[0037] The wave-shaped surfaces 21, 21a of the two fittings 10, 10a have apex sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 22a, 23a, 24a, 25a, 26a, on which both fittings 10, 10a rest against each other when the second fitting 10a is rotated by 180° as described above and twisted to fit the first fitting 10. The contact surfaces improve the force against the leverage of the component to be connected. This counteracts buckling. The leverage thus acts not only on two connection points, but on the entire component. This also ensures a more stable form fit and prevents wobbling.

[0038] Furthermore, each fitting 10, 10a also has sole sections 27, 28, 29, 30 and 27a, 28a, 29a, 30a that form screw seats. At these points, the plate bodies of the fittings 10, 10a are penetrated by holes 14, 14a.

[0039] The individual waves 32, 32a of the wave-shaped surfaces 21, 21a have a trapezoidal cross-section, so that the respective base and crest sections are connected by an inclined flank 33, 33a, 34, 34a. The inclined flanks 33 and 34, or 33a and 34a, have different angles of inclination. While the flanks 33 and 33a slope relatively gently, the flanks 34 and 34a form a 45° angle with the respective wave crest or base section.

[0040] The holes 14, 14a in the sole sections 27, 28, 29, 30 and 27a, 28a, 29a, 30a penetrate the plate bodies orthogonally and thus also specify the axial direction of the screws 5, 5a to be inserted, which are driven into the components 80, 90 in this position.

[0041] The inclined flanks 34, 34a are also penetrated by holes 15, 15a. These holes also indicate the axis of the screws inserted there, which, in this embodiment, are driven into the respective component 80, 90 at a 45° angle.

[0042] Additional holes 16, 16a are located in the triangular recesses 78, 78a of the suspension elements 71, 71a. These holes serve as transverse securing elements. After the fittings have been screwed onto the respective components and then hooked into place, they are each screwed to the other component with two securing screws 7. This primarily protects against lifting and displacement, but also improves force transmission, since both fastening elements are attached to both components by frictional locking in addition to the positive locking.
