Description

[0001] The invention relates, first, to a fastening device for a tool holder. Such a fastening device is known from prior public use. The fastening device comprises, for example, first holding means associated with the holder and second holding means associated with the fastening device and cooperating with the first holding means.

[0002] The first holding means and second holding means are part of a holding device for connecting the receiving device to the fastening device.

[0003] The fastening device is intended to store and attach the receiving device to a piece of clothing, e.g. a belt.

[0004] The object of the invention was to provide a fastening device for a receiving device which is improved with regard to its flexibility of fastening.

[0005] The problem was solved by a fastening device having the features of claim 1.

[0006] The fastening device is provided for storing and fastening a portable holding device for a tool to a carrying device. The carrying device is, for example, a piece of clothing, such as a belt, or a wall of a piece of furniture or real estate. The holding device is provided with a receiving space for receiving the tool and with a holding device for storing the holding device on the fastening device. Second holding means are assigned to the fastening device and interact with first holding means of the holding device. The fastening device has a first bearing surface and a second bearing surface which face one another, wherein a web-like rigid or flexible supporting part can be releasably positioned between the first bearing surface and the second bearing surface.

[0007] The fastening device according to the invention makes it easy to attach the holder to a piece of clothing, especially a belt, or to a piece of furniture or a wall. The tool can then be held within easy reach in the holder and is always ready for use, while also being securely stored in the holder, preventing the user or third parties from injuring themselves on the tool.

[0008] The first contact surface is assigned, for example, to the receiving device or to a base part that is connected to the second holding means. If the first contact surface is formed by a surface of the receiving device, a separate part is not necessarily required to form the first contact surface. If a separate part is provided for forming the first contact surface, it can be equipped with additional features of the receiving device.

[0009] The second contact surface is assigned, for example, to a locking part, which forms a joint with the base part or with the receiving device. In this case, the second contact surface is assigned to a separate part that is movably connected to the base part or to the receiving device by means of a joint, e.g., a hinge joint. A free end region of the locking part can thus be spread apart from the first contact surface in order to position a support part between the first contact surface and the second contact surface.

[0010] Alternatively, for example, the first contact surface and the second contact surface are assigned to a fastening part, which is connected to the second holding means. In this case, the first contact surface and the second contact surface are formed on one part. This part also includes, for example, the second holding means for connecting the fastening device to the holding device.

[0011] The fastening part is U-shaped, for example, and comprises a first leg to which the first contact surface is assigned and a second leg to which the second contact surface is assigned.

[0012] The first leg and the second leg of the U-shaped fastening part are connected to each other, for example, by means of an elastic region. To arrange the support part between the legs, a free end region of the second leg can be spread apart relative to the first leg, deforming the elastic region. The second leg can be provided with an elastic prestress. In this way, the fastening device, and thus the receiving device, can be prevented from moving relative to the support part and from becoming detached from the support part.

[0013] According to an alternative embodiment, an opening is located opposite a web of the U-shaped fastening part connecting the first and second legs, which opening can be closed by means of a closure part. The closure part is attached to one leg, for example, with a hinge or a foil hinge, and can be locked to the other leg. The closure part can then be released for attachment to the support part and, after the support part has been positioned between the contact surfaces, can be locked again. In this case, the fastening part, and thus the receiving device, cannot detach from the support part when the closure part is in the locked position.

[0014] According to a second aspect, the invention also encompasses a fastening device with a support device comprising a support part. The support part is formed, for example, by a piece of clothing, such as a belt, a support element as part of a piece of furniture or a wall, or by a support adapter that can be attached to a wall of a piece of furniture or a property. It is then possible to attach the fastening device of the receiving device to different support parts.

[0015] If the user wishes to wear the support device, the fastening device can be attached to a belt or other piece of clothing, for example. If the support device is to be held on a machine or on a wall in the user's work area, a support part designed as a support adapter can be attached to the machine or wall. The fastening device can be easily mounted on the support adapter. It can be attached by screwing, riveting, etc., by gluing, or with wire, cable ties, etc.

[0016] The supporting part comprises, for example, at least one fastening area with which it can be fastened. The fastening area has, for example, fastening means, such as at least one drilled hole, at least one eyelet-like or tab-like fastening means, adhesive surfaces, etc.

[0017] For example, the fastening area is formed in a fastening plane, and a mounting area is formed substantially in a mounting plane, which is spaced apart from the fastening plane. Due to the distance of the mounting plane from the fastening plane, it is easily possible to guide the closure part or the second leg between a fastening wall and the mounting area, so that the first contact surface is in contact with a front side of the mounting area and the second contact surface is in contact with a rear side of the mounting area.

[0018] The supporting part is designed, for example, as a flat sheet metal or plastic part, the length and width of which are large in relation to the thickness.

[0019] The tool is designed as a knife or includes a knife.

[0020] Embodiments of the invention are described by way of example in the following description of the figures, also with reference to the drawings. For the sake of clarity, identical or comparable parts, elements, or regions are designated by identical reference numerals, sometimes with the addition of lowercase letters, even where different embodiments are concerned.

[0021] Features described only with reference to one embodiment may also be provided in any other embodiment of the invention within the scope of the invention. Such modified embodiments are encompassed by the invention, even if they are not shown in the drawings.

[0022] All disclosed features are essential to the invention in themselves. The disclosure of the application hereby fully incorporates the disclosure content of the associated priority documents (copy of the prior application), as well as the cited publications and the described prior art devices, as well as the patent applications filed on the same date with the file numbers DE 10 2023 129 074.6 and DE 10 2023 129 075.4, also for the purpose of incorporating individual or multiple features of these documents into one or more claims of the present application.

[0024] A carrying device as a whole is designated in the figures by the reference numeral 10. In Fig. 1a is a front view of the carrying device 10. The carrying device 10 serves to hold a tool, here in the form of a knife 22, as in Fig. 1b The carrying device 10 comprises a receiving device 20, a holding device 30, and a locking device 40.

[0025] The receiving device 20 is designed like a housing and has a receiving space 12 defined by a wall 13. The knife can be inserted into and removed from the receiving space 12 via an upper opening 11. A wall region 16 forms a guide surface 14, which guides the knife 22 into the receiving space. An upper end of the wall 16 projects beyond an upper edge of the opening 11 by a length l.

[0026] Openings 15 in the wall 13 give the carrying device 10 a visually light appearance and allow dirt particles that have entered the receiving space 12 to escape. Fastening means in the form of eyelets 17 allow the attachment of a cable or strap (not shown), which is otherwise connected to the blade 22, or the attachment of other objects to the carrying device 10. The wall 13 is designed such that contact with the cutting edge of the blade 22 and thus injury is not possible when the blade 22 is located in the receiving space 12. The receiving device 20 is made essentially of plastic, for example. Metal and composite plastics can also be used for the receiving device 20.

[0027] To secure the knife 22 in the receiving space 12 against accidental falling out, the carrying device 10 in the present embodiment has a locking device 50. This comprises a button 18 with which the locking device 50 can be switched between a locked position and a release position. In the locked position, the knife 22 is secured in the receiving space 12, and in the release position, the knife 22 can be removed from the receiving space 12. In the present embodiment, the button 18 is designed as a rocker switch that can be adjusted between the locked position and the release position. Alternatively, other actuations are also possible. The locking device 50 will be explained in more detail below.

[0028] In Fig. 2 The carrying device 10 is shown in a side view. A base part 31 is visible, which is part of a holding device 30 and part of a fastening device 60, for example, for fastening the receiving device 20 to a piece of clothing of the user or to a piece of furniture. The receiving device 20 is Fig. 2 The holding device 30, which is not fully visible, is detachably attached to the base part 31 and mounted on the base part 31 for pivoting about a pivot axis a3. In this example, the bearing is designed as a plain bearing. Alternatively, other bearings could be used. However, in this case, a plain bearing offers the possibility of easily detaching the receiving device 20 from the base part 31 and incurs only minimal costs.

[0029] In this embodiment, the receiving device 30 can be pivoted 360° relative to the base part 31. Alternatively, the pivot radius could be limited.

[0030] Fig. 3 shows a top view of the support device, in which the receiving space 12 can be seen through the opening 11. Openings 15 are visible at the bottom of the receiving device 20, through which dirt particles can escape from the receiving space 12.

[0031] Fig. 4 shows an exploded view of the support device 10. In Fig. 4 The button 18, the receiving device 20, the base part 31, and a locking part 36 can be seen. The base part 31 has second holding means 25, which cooperate with the first holding means 24 of the receiving device to ensure releasable fastening and rotatable mounting. The first holding means 24 are formed by an edge surface 43 of a recess 26 in the wall 13 of the receiving device 20. The edge surface 43 is part of an inner surface 21 of the receiving device 20. In other words, the edge surface 43 surrounds the recess 26 and, together with hook projections 42 of the base part 31, prevents the base part 31 from becoming detached from the receiving device 20.

[0032] In this exemplary embodiment, the second holding means 25 are formed in the form of three separate blocks 46 which project from the plate-shaped base part 31 in the direction x1 towards the receiving device 20, wherein each block 46 is mounted on an end region of at least one elastically deformable spring bar 19. In this way, each block 46 can be moved radially inward against the elastic spring force of the spring bar 19. Gaps between the blocks 46 enable the radially inward movement. A bearing surface 56 of all three blocks 46 together results in the shape of a circular cylinder, which is intended to penetrate the recess 26 and form a common bearing surface for the pivot bearing. The number of blocks was chosen here as an example. Alternatively, there could also be 2 or 4 blocks 46, for example, whose bearing surfaces 56 form a common bearing surface for the pivot bearing of the receiving device 20.

[0033] Each block 46 is provided with a hook projection 42 (see Fig. 5a ) which projects radially outwards from a free end region of each block 46. If each block 46 moves elastically inwards, the blocks 46 can be guided through the recess 26 in the direction x1 when the receiving device 20 is mounted on the base part 31. When the load is removed, the blocks move radially outwards, with each hook projection 42 engaging over the edge surface 43 of the recess 26 on a side of the wall 13 opposite the base part 31. If this is the case, the base part 31 cannot be moved in the direction x2 and can be released from the receiving device 20. The rotatability of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 in the directions p1 and p2 is ensured due to the interaction of the bearing surface 56 with the reveal 23.

[0034] During assembly of the base part 31 in the direction x1 relative to the receiving device 20, inclined surfaces on the hook projections 42 support the radial inward movement when they come into contact with the reveal 23 of the recess 26. To disassemble the base part 31, the blocks 46 can be moved radially inward by applying pressure to their common center (pivot axis a3), and then the holding means 25 can be released from the receiving device 20 in the direction x2. This detachability of the receiving device 20 from the base part 31 enables and simplifies cleaning of the support device 10.

[0035] On the bearing surface 56, each of the three blocks 46 has web projections 45 extending in a direction parallel to the pivot axis a3. These projections are in contact with the reveal 23 of the recess 26 when the first holding means 24 are engaged with the second holding means 25 and, together with the latter, form a sliding bearing for rotatably supporting the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 in the directions p1 and p2 about the pivot axis a3.

[0036] The locking device 40 of the carrying device 10 is designed to secure the set rotational position of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31. The locking device 40 has first locking means 34 (see the Fig. 6 bis 11 ) which are assigned to the receiving device 20 and second locking means 35 which are assigned to the base part 31. The second locking means 35 (see also the Fig. 5a bis 5f ) have in this embodiment a tooth projection 47 extending in the direction x1, which is directed towards the first locking means 34.

[0037] The tooth projection 47 is formed on a free end region of a spring bar 29, which is exposed in the plane of the plate-shaped base part 31. In the present example, the second locking means comprise three tooth projections 47, which are distributed around the rotation axis a3 and offset by 120°. Alternatively, a different number of tooth projections 47 can be selected. In the present design, the second locking means 35 are arranged radially outwardly of the rotation axis a3 with respect to the second holding means 25, which is advantageous in terms of a space-saving design.

[0038] In Fig. 6 a rear view of the receiving device 20 is shown. It can be seen that the first locking means 34 are formed by a toothing 57 which surrounds the recess 26 or, in other words, is formed on an edge region 53 of the recess 26 facing the base part 31. In the present example, the toothing is formed over an angle of 360° relative to the axis of rotation a3. This enables locking in all rotational positions of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 over an angle of 360°. If a smaller adjustment option of the receiving device 20 is desired, the first locking means 34 can also be formed only at a smaller angle, e.g. 90° from the vertical in both directions of rotation p1 and p2.

[0039] In the Fig. 7 und 8 It can be seen that the toothing 57 takes up little installation space and the extension in the directions x1 and x2 is small.

[0040] In the Fig. 10 und 11 Details of the holding device 30 and the locking device 40 can be seen. In Fig. 10 The engagement of the tooth projection 47 in a recess of the toothing 57 is shown. The toothings 47 and 57 are designed here as a locking device, so that when a minimum torque on the receiving device 20 in one of the rotational directions p1 or p2 is exceeded, the tooth projection 47 automatically moves in direction x2 out of engagement with the toothing 57 and, due to the restoring force of the spring bar 29, moves into engagement with the toothing 57 in the set rotational position. Fig. 11 it can be seen how the hook projection 42 releasably engages over the edge surface 43 in the locked position.

[0041] In the Fig. 12 bis 15 Different pivoting positions of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 are shown as examples. Fig. 12 an angle α1 of approximately 30° is formed between a longitudinal center axis m1 of the receiving device 20 and a longitudinal center axis m2 of the base part 31. In Fig. 13 the angle α2 between the longitudinal central axes m1 and m2 is approximately 70° and in Fig. 14 the angle α3 between the longitudinal central axes m1 and m2 is approximately 90°.

[0042] The locking device 50 is explained below, with which the removal of the knife 22 held in the receiving space 12 can be prevented. The locking device 50 comprises the button 18, which is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis a1. The geometric pivot axis a1 is separated from a physical axis 39 (only in Fig. 4 visible), which is mounted in the axle recesses 41 of the receiving device 20 and forms a joint G1 with it (see the Fig. 16 und 17 ).

[0043] The button 18 is designed as a two-armed lever and has, according to Fig. 16 two areas 48 and 49, with area 48 located above the pivot axis a1 and area 49 below the pivot axis a1. The actuation 18 can be moved in a rocker-like manner between a locked position and a released position by pressing the respective area 48 or 49. Fig. 16 shows the release position and Fig. 17 the locking position. In Fig. 18 the carrying device is shown in front view, with the locking device 50 in the locking position.

[0044] In Fig. 18 It can be seen that the region 48 has a greater longitudinal extension I2 from the pivot axis a1 in the z direction than the region 49, which has a longitudinal extension I3. Furthermore, the region 48 has a larger surface area than the region 49. The locking position is therefore easier to adjust than the release position.

[0045] The key 18 is surrounded by a raised edge ridge 32, which makes it stand out haptically and allows it to be easily felt without being aimed at.

[0046] In the sectional view according to Fig. 19 It can be seen that a locking pin 52 of the actuation 18 in the locking position passes through an opening 51 in the wall 13 of the receiving device 20 and engages in the receiving space 12. The button can be pivoted about the axis a1 in the directions v1 and v2. In the release position, which in the sectional view according to Fig. 9 As can be seen, key 18 was adjusted in relation to the position according to. Fig. 19 pivoted in the direction v1 and the locking pin 52 barely protrudes into the receiving space 12. From the position according to Fig. 9 the locking position is reached by swiveling in direction v2.

[0047] In the Fig. 19 bis 22 It can be seen that the locking pin 52 is located in the path of movement of a knife 22 accommodated in the receiving space 12—here, a housing wall 55 of the knife 22—when the knife 22 is moved in the direction z2. Removal or accidental falling out of the knife 22 is therefore impossible.

[0048] In Fig. 23 is a side view of the support device 10 in accordance with Fig. 2 , wherein a locking device 60 is provided for attaching the carrying device 10 to a belt or a bar. This comprises a locking part 36, which forms a pivot joint G2 with the base part 31. The base part 31 forms primary joint means 27 for this purpose, which interact with secondary joint means 38 of the locking part 36.

[0049] A free end region 54 of the closing part 36 can be pivoted away from the base part 31 by means of the pivot joint G2 relative to the base part 31 about the pivot axis a2 (see Fig. 23 und 24 ). According to Fig. 23 the closing part 36 was pivoted away from the base part 31 so that, for example, a belt can be arranged between the base part 31 and the closing part 36.

[0050] At the end region 54, the locking part 36 has two elastically deformable arms 33, each formed with a locking projection 37. The arms 33 can be elastically moved toward one another according to the arrows q1 such that the locking projections 37 can be moved out of the locking relationship of the locking recesses 28 of the base part 31 by means of handles 44. By relieving the load on the handles 44, the locking projections 37 can move away from one another again according to the arrows q2 due to elastic restoring force, into engagement with the locking recesses 28.

[0051] In this way, the carrying device 10 can be secured, for example, to a belt 54 or to a web by arranging the latter between the base part 31 and the locking part 36, the locking part 36 is then brought into a parallel position to the base part 31 and the locking projections 37 are then brought into engagement with the locking recesses 28.

[0052] Alternatively, the joint G2 could also be designed as a foil hinge, so that the base part 31 and the locking part 36 are connected to one another as one piece. Alternatively, the locking part 36 and the base part 31 could also be formed as one piece and connected by an elastic region, which replaces the joint G2. In this case, the base part 31 and the locking part 36 would be connected in a clasp-like manner, and the fastening device would not have a locking device comprising, for example, a locking projection and locking recess.

[0053] According to a further alternative, the holding device 30 comprises, for example, a one-piece U-shaped part 69 (see the Fig. 32 und 33 ) with two legs 71 and 72 and a connecting web 73, which replaces the base part 31 and the closing part 36. Furthermore, in this case, the holding device 30 comprises a closure part 70, which forms a joint, for example, with the leg 71 and comprises first locking means 74, which can be releasably engaged with second locking means 75 of the leg 72. The support part 58 can be arranged between the legs 71 and 72 when the locking means 74 and 75 are disengaged (see Fig. 32 ). Thereafter, the first locking means 74 and second locking means 75 can be engaged (see Fig. 33 ). The support device 10 cannot then be accidentally detached from the support part 58. The spring bars 29, the hook projections 42, the blocks 46, and the tooth projections 47 are also formed on the U-shaped part 69, corresponding to the base part 31.

[0054] In the Fig. 25a bis 25f A support member 58 is shown as an individual part, to which the fastening device 60 of the support device 10 can be fastened. The support member 58, in turn, has fastening areas 59a and 59b for mounting on a wall, e.g., of a piece of furniture or a property. A mounting area 61 of the support member 58, to which the fastening device 60 can be fastened, is located between the fastening areas 59a and 59b.

[0055] The fastening areas 59a and 59b are provided with fastening means, which in this example are in the form of holes 62 and tabs or eyelets 64. The holes 62 are intended, for example, for screw fastening with screws 63 or, for example, for rivet fastening, while the tabs 64 are intended, for example, for fastening the supporting part 58 using cable ties, wires, etc.

[0056] In Fig. 25c It can be seen that a fastening plane 65, which is formed by the fastening regions 59a and 59b, is spaced apart from a mounting plane 66, which is formed by the mounting region 61, by a length I4 in order to be able to easily insert the locking part 36 or, if appropriate, a second leg (not shown) of a fastening part between, for example, a wall and the mounting region 61 of the supporting part 58, so that the mounting region 61 is in contact with a first contact surface 67 on the base part 31 and a second contact surface 68 on the locking part 36.

[0057] In the Fig. 26 bis 31 The support device 10 is shown mounted on the support part 58 by means of the fastening device 60. A wall of a piece of furniture or a building to which the support part 58 is fastened by means of the fastening areas 59a and 59b is not shown.
