Abstract
A low-cost configuration for detecting internal leaks in the humidifier of a fuel cell system. [Solution] The fuel cell system 100 includes a gas supply unit that supplies cathode gas to the fuel cell stack 1 via a supply channel, a humidifier 32 provided at the intersection of the supply channel and the discharge channel to humidify the cathode gas with moisture contained in the cathode exhaust gas, a pressure sensor 52 that detects the pressure of the cathode gas flowing through the dry channel 32a inside the humidifier 32, and a controller that calculates the pressure of the cathode exhaust gas flowing through the wet channel 32b inside the humidifier. The controller calculates the amount of cathode gas leakage from the dry channel 32a to the wet channel 32b based on the deviation between the cathode gas pressure and the cathode exhaust gas pressure.
