Abstract

A cigarette and an aerosol generating device are disclosed. The aerosol generating device of the present disclosure may include a cigarette including a tobacco rod containing an aerosol generating substance, a wrapper surrounding the tobacco rod, and a metal foil surrounding the tobacco rod on the inside or outside of the wrapper at a position corresponding to the tobacco rod and having both ends in contact with each other in the circumferential direction to form a closed loop, a body including an insertion space that contains the cigarette according to claim 1, and an induction coil disposed around the insertion space to heat the metal foil.
