Abstract

The invention relates to the construction of tires for vehicle wheels, namely to self-sealing tires.The self-sealing tire, according to the invention, comprises a patch, made of a mixture of high-viscosity pressure-sensitive adhesive material and rubber in a ratio of 40-50%:60-50%, applied to the inner side of the tire. The tire may additionally comprise a fixing layer, made of ethylene vinyl acetate or a mixture of ethylene vinyl acetate and polyurethane in a ratio of 50:50%. The patch and / or the fixing layer may be hermetically applied to the inner side and / or the sidewalls of the tire, for example, by spraying at a temperature of 100°C. The patch and / or the fixing layer may be applied to the tire with an uncovered area of 3-5 cm up to the rim.
