In this specification, the term "pet" broadly includes vertebrates and invertebrates, and typically includes pet animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters. As an example, the pet diaper 1 is a diaper for use on medium- to large-sized dogs (dogs weighing approximately 12 kg to 25 kg).

In this case, adjacent hot melt adhesives (adjacent fixing portions) may be independent of each other or may overlap each other.

Claims
1. A pet diaper to be put on a pet so as to cover at least the pet's waist, the pet diaper having a main body portion including an absorbent core, the main body portion including a ventral region that is located on the ventral side of the pet when the pet diaper is put on the pet, a dorsal region that is located on the dorsal side of the pet when the pet diaper is put on the pet, and a crotch region that is located between the ventral region and the dorsal region, arranged along the longitudinal direction; and a ventral stretchable member that stretches in a width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and has an effective region that is located in the ventral region, the absorbent core having a partially narrowed width in the width direction and having a first constricted portion that is located across the ventral region and the crotch region, the effective region of the ventral stretchable member being positioned so as to overlap the ventral end of the first constricted portion when viewed from a thickness direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and the width direction.
2. A pet diaper as described in claim 1, further comprising a pair of fixing members arranged in the ventral region on both sides of a center line that passes through the center of the main body portion in the width direction and is parallel to the longitudinal direction, each having a fixing portion that is fixed to the dorsal region in the worn state, and wherein the ventral end of the first constricted portion is arranged in the ventral region so as to face the fixing portion of each of the pair of fixing members in the width direction.
3. A pet diaper as described in claim 2, wherein the length of the fixing portion of each of the pair of fixing members in the longitudinal direction is longer than the distance between the ventral end of the absorbent core and the ventral end of the first constriction in the longitudinal direction.
4. The pet diaper according to claim 2, wherein the width of the dorsal region in the width direction is narrower than the width of the ventral region in the width direction.
5. The pet diaper according to claim 1, wherein the width of the effective region of the abdominal-side stretchable member in the width direction is wider than the width of the absorbent core in the width direction.
6. A pet diaper as described in claim 5, further comprising a pair of outer elastic members that stretch in the longitudinal direction and are positioned outside the absorbent core in the width direction, wherein the width of the effective area of the ventral elastic member in the width direction is wider than the distance between the pair of outer elastic members in the width direction.
7. A pet diaper as described in claim 1, further comprising a pair of outer stretchable members that stretch in the longitudinal direction and are arranged outside the absorbent core in the width direction, wherein the width of the effective area of the ventral stretchable member in the width direction is narrower than the distance between the pair of outer stretchable members in the width direction, and both ends of the effective area of the ventral stretchable member in the width direction are arranged inside the pair of outer stretchable members in the width direction.
8. A pet diaper as described in claim 1, wherein the main body portion has a second constricted portion that partially narrows the width of the main body portion in the width direction and defines a pair of openings through which the pet's hind legs are passed when the diaper is worn, the second constricted portion has a narrowest portion where the width of the main body portion in the width direction is at its smallest, and the back end of the first constricted portion is positioned on the back side of the narrowest portion.
9. A pet diaper as described in claim 1, wherein the back end of the first constricted portion is positioned on the ventral side of a center line that passes through the center of the main body portion in the longitudinal direction and is parallel to the width direction.
10. The pet diaper of claim 1, wherein the main body portion has second constricted portions where the width of the main body portion in the width direction is partially narrowed and which define a pair of openings through which the pet's hind legs are passed when the pet is worn, the contraction rate of the ventral region in the width direction is higher than the contraction rate of the dorsal region in the width direction, the second constricted portion has a ventral portion disposed in the ventral region and a dorsal portion disposed in the dorsal region, and when the outer edge connecting the ventral end and the dorsal end of the ventral portion is defined as a first outer edge and the outer edge connecting the ventral end and the dorsal end of the dorsal portion is defined as a second outer edge, the ratio of the width of the first outer edge in the width direction to the length of the first outer edge in the longitudinal direction is greater than the ratio of the width of the second outer edge in the width direction to the length of the second outer edge in the longitudinal direction.
11. A pet diaper as described in claim 1, wherein the main body portion has a second constricted portion in which the width of the main body portion in the width direction is partially narrowed and which defines a pair of openings through which the pet's hind legs are passed when the main body portion is worn, and a portion of the outer edge of the dorsal region located between the dorsal end of the main body portion and the second constricted portion has a rounded shape.
