Abstract

The invention relates to a binder system for monolithic and pre-cut furnace linings with refractory aggregates, wherein the binder system is cement-free, and to a method for producing a refractory molding compound with the binder system. To provide a cement-free binder system for monolithic and pre-cut furnace linings with refractory aggregates that ensures both good workability, particularly for small or intricate linings, and produces a safe lining with an attractive appearance, it is proposed that the binder system comprise a finely ground, alusilicate-containing component in an aqueous, alkaline solution, a magnesium support, and sodium lauryl sulfate.
