Abstract

Winding machine (1) for a musical string (2), with two clamping devices (4, 5) for a string core (7) and for rotation about a clamping device rotary axis (6), comprising a feeding device (11) for feeding a winding element (13) to the string core (7), comprising a guide device (16) for guiding the string core (6), which together with the feeding device (11) is movable parallel to the clamping device rotary axis (6), wherein the feeding device (11) and the guide device (16) form an actual winding point (17) at each point in the winding process, at which the first winding element (13) begins to be wound around the string core (7), wherein the guide device (16) comprises three cylinders (47, 48, 49) each with a diameter and each with an axis of rotation (42, 43, 44) – each of which is arranged parallel to the clamping device rotary axis (6) –, wherein the three cylinders (47, 48, 49) are arranged in such a manner relative to each other and have such dimensions,that together they form a stable position for the string core (7) at the winding point (17).
