Abstract

The present invention relates to a charging circuit and a method for controlling the charging circuit (10) which includes a pre-charge circuit (20). The method comprises the steps: applying (S11) a source test voltage (UQtest), bridging (S12) the charging circuit (10) with the pre-charge circuit (20), measuring (S13) a pre-charge circuit output voltage (UV), and comparing (S14) whether the measured pre-charge circuit output voltage (UV) corresponds to the applied source test voltage (UQtest).
