Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a transfer sleeve for aseptically transferring a fluid into a powder or a fluid into a fluid from a first container into a second container, the transfer sleeve having two tube sections extending in the same direction, the tube sections having different lengths in the longitudinal direction of the tube sections, wherein the longer tube section ends in a piercing tip, and wherein the tube sections are configured to be fixedly connected to a coupling wall cylindrically surrounding the tube sections, wherein the coupling wall has a recess corresponding to each tip and extending to the terminal edge of the coupling wall on both sides opposite to the longitudinal direction of the tube sections, wherein the piercing tip of the tube section is exposed in each of the recesses in a side view.
[0002] The present invention also relates to a transfer sleeve for aseptically transferring a fluid into a powder or a fluid into a fluid from a first container into a second container, the transfer sleeve having two tube sections extending in the same direction, the tube sections having different lengths in the longitudinal direction of the tube sections, wherein the longer tube section ends in a piercing tip, and wherein the tube sections are surrounded by a coupling wall, the coupling wall extending radially outside a retaining wall, wherein the coupling wall is movably retained on the retaining wall in the longitudinal direction of the tube sections. Background Art
[0003] Transfer sleeves are also known in practice as so-called transfer sleeves. For example, a fluid to powder or fluid to fluid can be aseptically transferred from a first container to a second container via a transfer sleeve. In this case, the pipe sections are respectively passed through the end side of a closure element of the corresponding container, for example made of a rubber material. When the transfer sleeve is installed, the closure element is penetrated by a piercing tip formed at the end of each pipe section.
[0004] Here, the tube segments have different lengths with respect to their longitudinal extension, in particular based on a transverse plane viewed transversely to the longitudinal extension, in which the two tube segments are shown in full section in the corresponding sectional views, i.e. closed in the circumferential direction. As a result, the tube segment with the puncture tip usually extends over a longer extension than the other tube segments.
[0005] A longer tube section having a piercing tip at one end may be a shorter tube section in the opposite direction when viewed in the transverse plane.
[0006] This design and arrangement of the two pipe sections results in an advantageous ventilation or venting of the container during the transfer.
[0007] The coupling wall can respectively realize the support on or at the container. The coupling wall can at least partially surround the container wall relative to the extension in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the pipe section.
[0008] By means of the recess provided in the coupling wall, a container surrounded by the coupling wall can be gripped, in particular for removal.
[0009] Such a transfer sleeve is known, for example, from US Pat. No. 6,948,522 B2.
[0010] Furthermore, for example, a transfer sleeve is known from US Pat. No. 5,879,345, in which a coupling wall is held displaceably on a holding wall in the longitudinal direction of the pipe section. Summary of the invention
[0011] Based on the above background technology, the technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to improve the above-mentioned type of transfer sleeve in a way that is conducive to the use of technology.
[0012] According to the first inventive concept, a feasible solution to the above technical problem is constituted in a transfer sleeve, in which it is proposed that the coupling wall (or connecting wall) protrudes beyond the tip in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the pipe section and the recess widens in a V-shape corresponding to the terminal edge.
[0013] Another feasible solution is that two retaining walls (or retaining walls, supporting walls) extending in opposite directions are arranged in the central area relative to the longitudinal extension of the pipe section, and the coupling walls are movably retained (or held) on the retaining walls.
[0014] The coupling wall can have such an axial length, which causes the free terminal edge of the coupling wall to be spaced from the corresponding piercing tip of the tube segment in the longitudinal extension direction of the tube segment. By means of the structure of the coupling wall formed in the longitudinal direction exceeding the piercing tip, an advantageous guiding of the transfer sleeve can be achieved in general, especially during the piercing process. Therefore, the coupling wall can first be guided against the wall of the container to be coupled, so that the accurate orientation, for example centering, of the tube segment penetrating the closure element of the container can be achieved at the same time, in addition, in particular before such penetration, in addition, even during penetration, can be achieved.
[0015] In addition, the pipe section, in particular its free end, further in particular the piercing tip, can also be protected by the coupling wall in the non-use position or the preparation position. Before using the transfer sleeve, the pipe section, in particular its free end with the piercing tip, is protected from being seriously contaminated or dirty.
[0016] The V-shaped widening of the recess in the direction of the terminal edge can provide advantages in terms of use, in particular when removing a container connected to the transfer sleeve plug. In this case, the recess can be enlarged in the direction of the terminal edge by, for example, about 1.2 to 2.5 times, further about 1.5 to 2 times, relative to the extension in the circumferential direction of the coupling wall. In addition, the V-shaped widening can start essentially in the middle of the longitudinal extension of the recess as viewed in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the pipe section, in addition to starting approximately in the region of the central third of the longitudinal extension. The section of the recess extending in front of it can have an extension in the circumferential direction that is essentially constant, as viewed in the longitudinal extension.
[0017] Compared to known solutions, a particularly advantageous design of the transfer sleeve in terms of use technology is achieved by being able to arrange two holding walls extending in opposite directions together with a coupling wall held movably on the holding walls. This results in an alternating, independent arrangement of the containers. Both ends of the transfer sleeve, viewed in the longitudinal extension direction of the pipe section, are suitable for accommodating the first or second container. The respective applications for coupling or even for disconnecting the respective containers can thus be configured identically on both sides.
[0018] The features of the above-mentioned independent claims are of significance not only individually but also in any combination with each other. In addition, the features of an independent claim can be combined with the features of another independent claim or the features of multiple independent claims, and can even be combined with individual features of one or more other independent claims.
[0019] According to a possible design scheme, two retaining walls extending in opposite directions can be arranged starting from a central area, and the coupling walls are respectively movably retained on the retaining walls, wherein one or both coupling walls can protrude beyond the corresponding piercing tip in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the pipe section, and wherein a recess can be arranged in one or both coupling walls, which recess can be widened in a V-shape corresponding to the terminal edge.
[0020] In the following, even in the description of the figures, further features of the invention are usually described in terms of their preferred configuration relative to claim 1 and / or to further independent claims or to features of further claims. However, they can also be associated with features of claim 1 and / or to further independent claims or to the respective further claims or have significance independently.
[0021] Therefore, according to another possible design, the transfer sleeve is designed to be essentially mirror-symmetrical with respect to a center plane extending transversely to the longitudinal extension of the pipe section. This also leads to a design that is advantageous in terms of use technology. Both end regions of the transfer sleeve can be used to accommodate both the first container and, optionally, the second container. There is no mandatory fixed assignment of the first and second container to a side or a predetermined side of the transfer sleeve.
[0022] The recess can have an extension starting from the facing piercing tip until the terminal edge of the coupling wall, which can be equivalent to a third or more of the length of the circumferentially completely closed pipe segment. In addition, the excess size of the recess observed along the longitudinal extension of the pipe segment beyond the piercing tip can correspond to about 0.3 to 0.7 times, further about 0.4 to 0.6 times, of the longitudinal extension of the pipe segment, which is completely closed circumferentially on this extension.
[0023] In another design option, the tube section can be surrounded by a first cylindrical region forming a retaining wall for a closed area of the container, wherein the recess can be arranged in a second cylindrical region coaxially arranged with the first cylindrical region and forming a coupling wall, and the second cylindrical region can extend at a radial distance from the first cylindrical region.
[0024] The two cylindrical regions for forming the retaining wall and the coupling wall can be oriented coaxially with respect to one another.
[0025] The two cylindrical regions can also be designed integrally with the pipe section and made of a single material, thereby being produced, for example, in a plastic injection molding method.
[0026] The holding wall formed by the first cylindrical region can also preferably be used to hold the transfer sleeve as a whole on the closure region of the closure device with the container. Here, the pipe section can be arranged substantially in the center, oriented along the longitudinal center axis of the holding wall.
[0027] A center plane extending transversely to the longitudinal extension of the pipe section can be structurally formed by transverse walls extending correspondingly transversely to the transverse extension, from which the pipe section as well as retaining walls and / or coupling walls extend outwards on both sides when viewed in the longitudinal direction, wherein the pipe section passes through the transverse walls as a whole.
[0028] The terminal edge of the first cylindrical region or the holding wall, which is preferably transverse to the longitudinal extension of the pipe section and spaced apart from the central plane in the longitudinal direction, can also preferably be protruded beyond by the piercing tip of the pipe section. In this case, a corresponding overhang of the piercing tip beyond the terminal edge of the holding wall can be formed, which can correspond to half or less of the length of the pipe section that is completely closed in the circumferential direction.
[0029] Furthermore, relative to a side view of the transfer sleeve, the corresponding recess of the coupling wall can also end overall at a distance from the terminal edge of the retaining wall, viewed in the longitudinal extension of the pipe section.
[0030] In a feasible design, the first cylindrical region constituting the retaining wall can be configured to be closed all around. In an alternative design, the cylindrical region can also be partially open, and if necessary, even open to the terminal edge.
[0031] Ribs extending in the direction of the tube section can be formed on the outer wall side of the second cylindrical region forming the coupling wall. This can serve as a rolling protection (or roll-off protection) to ensure that the transfer sleeve does not roll off a table or the like during or after use. In addition, the ribs can also be used to improve the use of the transfer sleeve, in particular when coupling the container and / or when removing the container after the transfer has been carried out.
[0032] In the case where the coupling wall is movably mounted on the retaining wall, it can also be provided that a torsionally fixed guide is formed in this respect. In this case, the coupling wall can be slidably displaced in the longitudinal direction of the pipe section relative to the retaining wall, if necessary also preferably limited by stops in both directions of movement. In contrast, in this design, the coupling wall is immovably restrained in the circumferential direction on the retaining wall, so that in all sliding positions of the coupling wall, a predetermined orientation in the circumferential direction is formed.
[0033] For this purpose, the retaining wall can have, for example, at least one longitudinal groove, in which, for example, a radially inwardly directed rib of the coupling wall can engage.
[0034] Furthermore, a guidance of the coupling wall during the sliding displacement can also preferably be formed by the cooperation of the ribs / longitudinal grooves.
[0035] Furthermore, a plurality of longitudinal grooves can be distributed on the circumference of the retaining wall, and the longitudinal grooves, if necessary in a group, can be arranged evenly distributed relative to one another in the circumferential direction. According to another possible design, two groups diametrically opposed in cross section can be provided, which groups have two, three or more longitudinal grooves, wherein the longitudinal grooves of a group can have even spacing relative to one another in the circumferential direction.
[0036] The ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the pipe section and protruding radially outward can be formed along the edges of the longitudinal grooves of the holding wall, and the coupling wall can be supported on the inner side of the wall. By arranging a plurality of such ribs on the periphery of the holding wall, a uniform radial spacing of the coupling wall and the holding wall can be achieved.
[0037] In relation to the longitudinal extension of the pipe section, a radially extending projection can be formed on the retaining wall in the central region, against which the movable coupling wall can rest in the retracted state. In a possible design, the center plane of the radially extending projection extending transversely to the longitudinal extension of the pipe section can form a center plane or a symmetry plane, from which the retaining wall and / or the coupling wall can extend on both sides.
[0038] Furthermore, the radially extending projection can have, starting from the longitudinal center axis of the transfer sleeve, a radial dimension which can exceed the relevant largest radial dimension of the coupling wall.
[0039] Furthermore, the rib and / or each coupling wall can be designed to be non-circular when viewed on the circumference, thereby further having, for example, flat sections that are diametrically opposite. A transfer sleeve designed in this way thus has rolling protection.

[0060] According to Figures 1 to 5 The first embodiment shown in Figures 6 to 17A second embodiment shown in FIG. 1 shows and describes a transfer cannula 1 for aseptically transferring, for example, a fluid into a powder or a fluid into a fluid from a first container 2 into a second container 3 .
[0061] The transfer cannula 1 has two tube sections 4 , 5 extending in the same direction, wherein each tube section 4 , 5 has a piercing tip 6 formed on one side at the end.
[0062] The longitudinal center axis x of the transfer sleeve 1 extends in the longitudinal direction L of the tube sections 4 and 5. Essentially concentrically with respect to the longitudinal center axis x, the tube sections 4 and 5 are firstly surrounded by a first cylindrical region Z1 at a radial distance, which forms a retaining wall 7 for the closure region 9 of the container 2 or 3. Furthermore, coaxially with respect to the longitudinal center axis x and at a radial distance from the first cylindrical region Z1, a second cylindrical region Z2 is provided, which forms a coupling wall 8. By means of the coupling wall 8, the corresponding container wall 10 can be surrounded or supported in the corresponding assigned position, in particular, for example, during the transfer of fluid from the first container 2 into the second container 3 or from the second container 3 into the first container 2.
[0063] The two pipe sections 4 and 5 preferably extend in a substantially tubular arrangement adjacent to one another so that the longitudinal center axis x can be formed between the pipe sections 4 and 5 in the region of the tangentially contacting pipe walls (see in particular Figure 2 and Figure 5 as well as Fig.10 and Fig.11 ).
[0064] The tube sections 4 and 5 extend in the longitudinal direction L with different lengths a and b starting from a transverse plane E oriented transversely to the longitudinal center axis x, which can also be considered as a center plane or plane of symmetry. The tube section with the piercing tip at the end in this extension direction can also preferably extend over a length a which corresponds to approximately 1.5 to 2.5 times, further approximately 2 times, the length b of the other tube section. Compared to the piercing tip 6, the other tube section with a shorter length b ends in the longitudinal direction in the form of a blunt tip, and the other tube section accordingly at least approximately has a wall that surrounds the opening plane in a cross section transversely to the longitudinal center axis x.
[0065] In contrast, the piercing tip 6 has an opening face 29 which encloses an acute angle α of approximately 10 to 20 degrees, further approximately 15 degrees, relative to a line parallel to the longitudinal center axis x.
[0066] In a layout mirror-symmetrical to the transverse plane E, the tube section with the piercing tip 6 at one end opens into a blunt-shaped opening at the other end, while the tube section with the blunt-shaped opening is constructed longer outside the transverse plane E and forms the piercing tip 6 there at the other end.
[0067] The transverse wall 11 can be arranged along the transverse plane E or respectively along the plane of symmetry. The transverse wall carries the casing unit formed by the pipe sections 4 and 5 or is penetrated substantially centrally by the catheter unit.
[0068] Furthermore, the retaining wall 7 can also be connected via this transverse wall 11. The retaining wall 7 can extend axially on both sides starting from the transverse wall 11 or the transverse plane E, wherein additional connection and stabilization can be provided by radial ribs 12. The radial ribs 12 can be arranged preferably evenly distributed over the circumference relative to the longitudinal center axis x. Figures 1 to 5 The first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 may provide four such radial ribs 12, or alternatively six radial ribs according to a second embodiment (see FIG. 1 ). Fig.10 ).
[0069] Here, the radial ribs 12 can preferably be connected to the transverse wall 11 and also to the inner wall surface of the retaining wall 7. In terms of the arrangement and construction of the radial ribs 12, a symmetrical arrangement with respect to the transverse plane E can also be formed.
[0070] according to Figures 1 to 5 In the first embodiment shown, the retaining wall 7 can be designed to be closed all around, and more particularly in the form of a cylinder.
[0071] A coupling wall 8 can be connected to the first cylindrical region Z1 or to the holding wall 7 at a radial distance outward, wherein radial ribs 13 are arranged between the holding wall 7 and the coupling wall 8 to maintain the spacing. These further radial ribs 13 can be arranged between the pipe sections 4, 5 and the holding wall 7 as radial extensions of the above-mentioned radial ribs 12.
[0072] The coupling wall 8 can also preferably have a substantially cylindrical shape with ribs 14 arranged centrally on the outside of the wall, viewed in the longitudinal direction L, each extending in the longitudinal direction L, which serve as rolling protection before, during or after use of the transfer sleeve 1. In addition, these ribs 14 also improve the use of the transfer sleeve 1 designed in this way.
[0073] Furthermore, the coupling wall 8 can also preferably be provided with recesses 15 extending substantially in the longitudinal direction L on both sides of the transverse plane E. These recesses can also be mainly in the form of elongated holes, each opening to a free terminal edge 16. Figure 2 In the top view, two recesses 15 are respectively formed on both sides of the transverse plane E and are arranged diametrically opposite to each other.
[0074] In addition, especially Figure 1 As shown in the view in FIG. 1 , a V-shaped widening portion in the direction of the terminal edge 16 can be formed on the length c of each recess 15 observed in the longitudinal direction L from about half of the extension length. Figure 1In the side view, the end region of the recess 15 facing the transverse plane E can have a width d, which can correspond to approximately 3 to 5 times the free inner diameter of the pipe sections 4, 5, moreover, for example approximately 4 times.
[0075] The recess 15 is in the same Figure 1 The width e of the outlet in the region of the terminal edge 16 as viewed in the side view of the transfer sleeve 1 can correspond to approximately 1.5 to 2.5 times, further approximately 2 times, the width d. With respect to the side view of the transfer sleeve 1 , the recess 15 can initially extend with a constant width d starting from the end facing the transverse plane E and then transition into a section that widens uniformly up to the terminal edge 16 in an approximately V-shaped manner.
[0076] The above-mentioned length c of the recess 15 starting from the terminal edge 16 can also be dimensioned in such a way that, for example, Figure 4 It can be seen that the piercing tip 6 of the pipe section 4 or 5 is relatively Figure 1 The side view of the PCB is exposed in the recess 15 .
[0077] The piercing tip 6 can also preferably protrude beyond the corresponding terminal edge 17 of the retaining wall 7, while according to a preferred design, the blunt head 18 of the other (shorter) tube section 5 or 4 can end at an axial distance from the terminal edge 17 of the retaining wall 7 and extend accordingly in the pot-shaped opening formed by the retaining wall 7.
[0078] In addition, especially by Figure 5 As can be seen from the sectional view in, the length f from the terminal edge 16 of the coupling wall 8 to the plane oriented transversely to the longitudinal center axis x and contacting the piercing tip 6 can be equivalent to approximately 0.8 to 1.2 times the length g of the tube sections 4, 5, and the tube sections are closed along the circumference in a cross section transverse to the longitudinal center axis x at the length g.
[0079] According to the first exemplary embodiment, the pipe sections 4 , 5 , the retaining wall 7 and the coupling wall 8 together with the ribs described can preferably be formed in one piece and of uniform material, for example produced by a plastic injection molding method.
[0080] On the contrary, Figures 6 to 17 In the second exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 , only the pipe sections 4 , 5 and the retaining walls 7 , 7 ′, which are also connected here via radial ribs 12 , are designed in one piece and of uniform material.
[0081] In this embodiment, the two retaining walls 7 , 7 ′, each of which is provided with a coupling wall 8 or 8 ′, extend substantially symmetrically with respect to the transverse plane E.
[0082] The coupling walls 8 , 8 ′ are guided displaceably in the longitudinal direction L on the respective retaining wall 7 , 7 ′, but in a rotationally fixed manner.
[0083] For this purpose, the retaining wall 7 , 7 ′ can have a longitudinal groove 19 extending in the longitudinal direction L and which, according to the exemplary embodiment shown, can penetrate the retaining wall 7 or 7 ′ completely in the radial direction.
[0084] The longitudinal grooves 19 extend in the longitudinal direction L in an open manner from the edge of the transverse wall 11 into the terminal edge 17 of the retaining wall 7 , 7 ′, respectively.
[0085] In addition, especially by Fig.17 The sectional view in FIG. 1 shows that essentially two groups of longitudinal grooves 19 can be provided, which are essentially diametrically opposed to each other with respect to the longitudinal center axis x. Three such longitudinal grooves 19 can be provided in each group, which are preferably evenly spaced from each other in the circumferential direction. The circumferential spacing of two circumferentially consecutive longitudinal grooves 19 of different groups can be selected to be greater than the circumferential spacing of two longitudinal grooves 19 of the same group.
[0086] The radially inwardly directed ribs 20 of the coupling wall 8 or 8' engage in the longitudinal grooves 19 (see Fig.17 ).
[0087] The arrangement of the ribs / grooves achieves a torsionally fixed sliding displaceability of the coupling wall 8 or 8 ′ relative to the retaining wall 7 , 7 ′ or the pipe section 4 , 5 .
[0088] Furthermore, on the outer wall sides of the retaining walls 7 , 7 ′, respectively laterally of the longitudinal grooves 19 , distance ribs 21 can be formed which ensure a uniform radial distance between the coupling walls 8 , 8 ′ and the retaining walls 7 , 7 ′.
[0089] The sliding displaceability of the coupling walls 8 , 8 ′ relative to the retaining walls 7 , 7 ′ is preferably stop-limited in both displacement directions.
[0090] Each coupling wall 8, 8' can form two spring sections 27 diametrically opposite each other in the circumferential direction. The rib 20 corresponding to each spring section 27 on the inside serves as a spreading device 28, by which the corresponding spring section 27 can undergo a radially outward elastically restorable movement when the container 2, 3 is placed. The spring section 27 can thus act on the container 2, 3, for example on the container wall 10 of the container, in a clamping manner via the spreading device 28.
[0091] In the direction toward each other (retracted state), the coupling walls 8, 8' are supported by the radially outwardly extended configuration of the transverse wall 11. The substantially encircling projection 22 formed thereby can protrude radially beyond the coupling walls 8, 8' (see, for example, Fig.15 ).
[0092] The transfer sleeve 1 can be prevented from rolling, for example when placed on a table or the like, by the arrangement of diametrically opposed straight sections 23 which interrupt the otherwise circular planar contour of the projection 22 .
[0093] A stop limit is formed in the direction of separation of the coupling walls 8, 8', because the stop ribs 24 arranged on the inner side of the coupling walls 8, 8' stop on the matching stop ribs 25 formed on the outer side of the retaining walls 7, 7' (see Fig.12 ).
[0094] Reference Fig.10 In the top view of the coupling wall 8, 8', a radially protruding flange section 26 can be formed on the outer side of the wall in the region of its terminal edge 16, which is offset by 90 degrees relative to the straight section 23 of the projection 22. The flange section 26 can be used as a pull-back aid.
[0095] Before the first use, the transfer cannula 1 can preferably be initially located in a sterile film bag or the like, which is independent of its design. After being removed from the film bag, the containers 2 and 3 can be arranged on both sides in such a way that the free ends of the tube sections 4 and 5 penetrate the closure area 9, which is made of rubber material, for example, with the aid of the piercing tip 6, so that the openings in the area of the piercing tip 6 and the area of the blunt end 18 and thus the openings of the two tube sections 4, 5 can freely protrude into the container (see Figure 5 and 15 compared to).
[0096] The coupling walls 8 , 8 ′ surround the container wall 10 in a protective manner, if necessary, at least in a central manner, of the arrangement.
[0097] When the coupling walls 8, 8' are arranged slidably, the transfer sleeve 1 can first be placed on the container 3 in the extended, i.e., pulled apart, position, and then the container 2 can be placed from above on the opposite ends of the tube sections 4 and 5. The coupling walls 8 and 8', which have been brought into the telescopic position beforehand, provide a downward guide for the containers 2 and 3 during the loaded downward movement of the upper (first) container 2, whereby their closed areas 9 are penetrated by the facing piercing tips, and the retaining walls 7, 7' are moved downward together with the projection 22 and the piercing tips 6 directed toward the lower (second) container 3 are thereby pressed through the corresponding closed areas 9.
[0098] Due to the telescopic displacement of the retaining walls 7, 7' and the coupling walls 8, 8' which occurs here, a sealed transfer position is formed, in which the insertion tip 6 also projects beyond the plane of the terminal edge 16 of the coupling walls 8 and 8' (see Fig.15 ).
[0099] During the transfer of liquid, for example, from the (upper) first container 2 to the (lower) second container 3 , fluid transport takes place via the pipe section 4 or 5 , while degassing or ventilation takes place via the other pipe section 5 , 4 .
[0100] The above embodiments serve to explain the invention included in the present application as a whole, which improves the prior art at least by the following feature combinations, respectively individually, wherein two, more or all of these feature combinations can also be combined, namely:
