Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a composite operation type input device. Background Art

[0002] In the past, there was a composite operation input device capable of performing a rotation operation and a sliding operation in a direction roughly orthogonal to the rotation center line of the rotation operation, and the device is characterized by the following. A sliding first detection part sensor, a second detection part, and a sliding retainer are arranged on a substrate, and the retainer and slider are supported by the sliding retainer so as to be able to slide, and the rotor is supported by the retainer and slider so as to be able to rotate. The retainer and slider have a first detected part, and during the sliding operation, the rotor and the retainer and slider slide and move integrally, and the sliding position change of the first detected part is detected by the first detection part. The rotor has a cylindrical part surrounding the retainer and slider and a second detected part extending along the circumference of the cylindrical part, so that the first detection part and the sliding retainer are located on the inner side of the circumference obtained by projecting the cylindrical part onto the substrate. When the rotor is rotated, the rotational position change of the second detected part is detected by the second detection part (for example, refer to patent document 1).

[0021] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a composite operation input device to which the present invention is applied will be described.

[0022] <Implementation Method>

[0023] Figure 1 1 is a diagram showing a composite operation input device 100 according to an embodiment. Figure 22 is an exploded view of the composite operation input device 100 . Figure 3 It is shown Figure 1 Figure 2 is a cross-section diagram taken along the AA direction.

[0024] In the following, the XYZ orthogonal coordinate system is used for explanation. For the convenience of explanation, the surface and end on the +Z direction side are sometimes referred to as the upper surface and upper end, and the surface and end on the -Z direction side are sometimes referred to as the lower surface and lower end, but this does not represent a general upper and lower relationship. In addition, the top view is referred to as the XY plane observation.

[0025] The composite operation input device 100 includes a substrate 101 , a photointerrupter 102 , a base 110 , a slider 120 , a guide ring 130 , a holder 140 , a push switch 145 , a bearing 150 , a rotating portion 160 , and a knob 170 .

[0026] The substrate 101 is, for example, a wiring substrate of FR4 (Flame Retardant type 4) specification, and is equipped with a photointerrupter 102, a base 110, and a push switch 145. The upper side of the base 110 also includes a slider 120, a guide ring 130, a retainer 140, a bearing 150, a rotating portion 160, and a knob 170.

[0027] Two photointerrupters 102 are provided on the upper surface of the substrate 101. The two photointerrupters 102 are an example of a pair of non-contact detection units. The photointerrupter 102 is U-shaped when viewed from the XZ plane, and has a groove 102A that is recessed downward from the upper surface side of the center of the width in the X direction.

[0028] Both photointerrupters 102 are two-phase transmission type photointerrupters. The two light emitting parts included in each photointerrupter are arranged side by side along the Y direction on one side of a pair of inner walls disposed opposite to each other in the groove 102A, and the two light receiving parts are arranged side by side along the Y direction on the other side of the pair of inner walls of the groove 102A. The light receiving part on the +Y direction side can receive the light of the light emitting part on the +Y direction side, and the light receiving part on the -Y direction side can receive the light of the light emitting part on the -Y direction side. The two sets of transmission type photointerrupters formed by the light receiving part and the light emitting part on the +Y direction side and the light receiving part and the light emitting part on the -Y direction side built into the photointerrupter 102 are an example of a plurality of non-contact sensors.

[0029] Here, except Figures 1 to 3 In addition, also use Figure 4A , Figure 4B Provide explanation. Figure 4A , Figure 4B 1 is a diagram showing the positional relationship between the photointerrupter 102 and the protruding portion 161A of the rotating portion 160 (an example of a detected portion that moves integrally with the operating member). Figure 4A , Figure 4B 2 shows a rotation trajectory 161A1 of the protruding portion 161A of the rotating portion 160 .

[0030] The photointerrupter 102 is arranged at a position perpendicular to the Y-axis direction (an example of a sliding direction intersecting the rotation axis) on the rotation trajectory 161A1 of the protrusion 161A of the rotating part 160, across the rotation axis C of the compound operation input device 100. Since the rotating part 160 rotates in the direction in which the plurality of protrusions 161A are arranged around the rotation axis C, the rotation trajectory 161A1 of the protrusion 161A is a circle in which the plurality of protrusions 161A are arranged around the rotation axis C.

[0031] Since each photointerrupter 102 is a two-phase type, it is possible to detect the moving direction and moving amount of the rotating part 160. In addition, each photointerrupter 102 outputs two light receiving signals indicating the light receiving conditions of the two light receiving parts, so it is possible to detect Figure 4A The movement of the protruding portion 161A of the rotating portion 160 in the rotation direction as shown, and Figure 4B The movement of the protruding portion 161A of the rotating portion 160 in the sliding direction (Y-axis direction) as shown in the figure. The detection method will be described later.

[0032] It should be noted that, although the method of using a two-phase transmissive photointerrupter is described here, the photointerrupter 102 may also be a reflective type. In this case, as the detected part, it is preferred to use a reflective plate or an aluminum-plated part or a reflective sticker that reflects light. In addition, it is also possible to replace the two two-phase photointerrupters 102 with four single-phase transmissive photointerrupters, two each, in parallel. In addition, it is also possible to replace the photointerrupter 102 with a magnetic sensor using a magnet. In this case, it is preferred to use a magnet as the detected part.

[0033] The base 110 is fixed to the upper surface of the substrate 101. The base 110 has a cylindrical main body 111 and three legs 112. The main body 111 is fixed to the substrate 101 by the legs 112, and has a through hole 111A penetrating in the Z direction in the center when viewed from above. In addition, two grooves 113 along the X-axis direction and two grooves 114 along the Y-axis direction are provided on the upper side of the main body 111. The central axis of the through hole 111A coincides with the rotation axis C.

[0034] The slider 120 is an example of a sliding mechanism and has a cylindrical body 121, a protruding portion 122, and a plate portion 123. The outer diameter of the body 121 is smaller than the minimum inner diameter of the through hole 111A of the body 111 of the base 110. The central axis of the cylindrical shape of the body 121 coincides with the rotation axis C.

[0035] The protrusions 122 are two rectangular parallelepiped portions protruding from the middle of the main body 121 in the Z direction toward the ±X direction. The two protrusions 122 are respectively accommodated in the inside of the two grooves 113. The width of the two protrusions 122 in the Y direction is narrower than the width of the two grooves 113 in the Y direction, so that the slider 120 can move relative to the base 110 along the Y direction. The distance between the outer wall of the protrusion 122 in the Y direction and the inner wall of the groove 113 in the Y direction opposite to it represents the maximum length that the rotating part 160 can move in the Y direction, and is equivalent to the stroke of the knob 170 in the Y direction.

[0036] The plate portion 123 is two plate-shaped portions protruding in the ±Y directions from the middle of the main body 121 in the Z direction. The lower surface of the plate portion 123 contacts the upper surface of the main body 111 of the base 110. The lower surface of the plate portion 123 is provided with a protrusion 123A that protrudes obliquely from the lower surface of the plate portion 123 toward the main body 121.

[0037] The protrusion 123A is received in the groove 114 of the base 110. The widths of the protrusion 123A and the groove 114 in the X direction are substantially equal, so when the slider 120 moves in the Y direction relative to the base 110, the outer wall in the width direction of the protrusion 123A is guided along the inner wall in the width direction of the groove 114 so that it does not deviate in the X direction. At this time, the plate 123 keeps the height of the slider 120 constant relative to the base 110 while contacting the upper surface of the main body 111 of the base 110.

[0038] The slider 120 having such a structure can slide in the +Y direction or the −Y direction from the position where the protrusion 122 is located in the center of the width of the groove 113 .

[0039] The guide ring 130 is a relatively thin annular member, and when the slider 120 is accommodated in the through hole 111A of the base 110, it abuts from the upper side and restricts the movement of the protrusion 122 and the upper surface of the plate 123 of the slider 120 in the Z direction. The guide ring 130 is fixed to the base 110 by four screws 119. The central axis of the guide ring 130 is consistent with the rotation axis C.

[0040] The holder 140 has a cylindrical main body 141 and a cylindrical shaft 142. The shaft 142 is continuously provided on the lower side of the main body 141, and a through hole 140A is provided at the center of the main body 141 and the shaft 142 in a plan view. The central axis of the cylindrical shape of the main body 141 and the shaft 142 coincides with the rotation axis C.

[0041] The circumferential portion of the main body 141 is recessed from the lower side toward the upper side, and the recess is formed over the entire circumference. The upper end of the slider 120 is inserted into and held in the recess with a gap in the Z direction. In addition, the shaft 142 is inserted into the through hole of the main body 121 of the slider 120 and is held in a state where the lower end abuts against the push switch 145. The retaining member 140 is retained to be movable in the Z direction relative to the slider 120, and when the knob 170 is pushed, the retaining member 140 presses the push switch 145 to turn it on. The push switch 145 is provided to detect the push operation of the knob 170 in the -Z direction.

[0042] The bearing 150 is an example of a rotating mechanism and is an annular bearing. The inner and outer circumferences of the bearing 150 are rotatable, and the inner circumference is fitted into the upper end of the outer circumference of the main body 141 of the holder 140. The rotation axis of the bearing 150 coincides with the rotation axis C.

[0043] The rotating part 160 includes a main body 161, a protruding part 162, and a cover part 163. The main body 161, the protruding part 162, and the cover part 163 are all cylindrical, and the rotating part 160 includes a through hole 160A penetrating in the Z direction. The central axis of the through hole 160A coincides with the rotation axis C.

[0044] The protrusion 162 is continuously provided on the upper side of the main body 161, and the cover 163 is continuously provided on the lower side of the main body 161. The outer diameters of the main body 161, the protrusion 162, and the cover 163 increase in the order of the protrusion 162, the main body 161, and the cover 163.

[0045] The rotating part 160 is configured to be rotatable relative to the holder 140 by fitting the inner peripheral surface of the upper end of the protruding part 122 into the outer peripheral side of the bearing 150. In addition, the rotating part 160 is held by the slider 120 via the bearing 150 and the holder 140, so that it can rotate relative to the base 110 and can slide relative to the base 110 in the Y direction.

[0046] In addition, the main body 161 also extends in the -Z direction inside the cover 163, and a plurality of protrusions 161A are provided along the circumference at the lower end. The protrusions 161A are portions protruding in a rectangular shape from the lower end of the main body 161 along the circumferential direction, and a plurality of protrusions 161A are provided at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. In addition, the intervals 161B between adjacent protrusions 161A are also provided at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the protrusions 161A.

[0047] The protrusion 161A can pass through the groove 102A of the photointerrupter 102 in the Y direction, and the position of the protrusion 161A in the Z direction is located at a position where it blocks two light emitting units and two light receiving units of each photointerrupter 102 .

[0048] The rotation trajectory 161A1 of the protrusion 161A coincides with the circumference of the main body 161 and the rotation axis C when viewed from above. When the rotating unit 160 rotates around the rotation axis C, the plurality of protrusions 161A also rotate and move on the circumference around the rotation axis C.

[0049] The circumferential width of the protrusion 161A and the interval 161B are sufficiently smaller than the operation amount (stroke) in the Y direction of the rotational operation or the sliding operation. Therefore, during the rotational operation or the sliding operation, the light emission of the two light emitting parts of each photointerrupter 102 is not simultaneously and continuously blocked by one protrusion 161A, nor is it continuously transmitted, but the state changes.

[0050] In such a photointerrupter 102, the light emitted by the two light emitting units built into each photointerrupter 102 is intermittently blocked by the protrusion 161A from the transparent state as the rotating unit 160 rotates, and the timing when the light emitted by the two light emitting units of each photointerrupter 102 is blocked or the timing when the blocked light is transmitted again is different.

[0051] Therefore, by using the photointerrupter 102 to detect which of the two built-in lights is blocked first or which is transmitted again first, when the protrusion 161A of the rotating part 160 rotates or slides, the rotation direction or sliding direction can be detected.

[0052] In the initial state where both built-in light receiving parts of each photointerrupter 102 receive light, when the protrusion 161A of the rotating part 160 slides in the Y direction, as shown in FIG. Figure 4B As shown, the protrusion 161A moves in the groove 102A of the photointerrupter 102 along the Y direction, so that the light of one of the two built-in light emitters of each photointerrupter 102 is blocked by the protrusion 161A as the rotating part 160 moves along the Y direction and does not receive light first, and the light receiving conditions of the two light receiving parts change.

[0053] In the initial state where both built-in light receiving parts of each photointerrupter 102 do not receive light, when the protruding part 161A of the rotating part 160 moves in the Y direction, as shown in FIG. Figure 4B As shown, the protrusion 161A moves in the groove 102A of the two photointerrupters 102 along the Y direction. Therefore, as the rotating part 160 moves in the Y direction, the light shielding by the protrusion 161A is released and the light is received first, and the light receiving conditions of the two light receiving parts change.

[0054] In the initial state where both light receiving parts of the photointerrupter 102 receive light, when the rotating part 160 rotates clockwise, for example, the two photointerrupters 102 arranged opposite to each other on the circumference each output two light receiving signals through their two built-in light receiving parts. The moving direction of the rotating part 160 and the protruding part 161A is represented by Figure 4A As shown in the figure, the directions (+Y direction and -Y direction) are opposite to each other, and are the same in the direction of arrow P (clockwise rotation).

[0055] In the initial state where both light receiving parts of the photointerrupter 102 receive light, when the rotating part 160 slides in the -Y direction, for example, Figure 4B As shown, the protrusion 161A moves in the -Y direction in the groove 102A of the two photointerrupters 102, so that the light of at least one of the two light emitting parts built into each photointerrupter 102 is blocked by the protrusion 161A as the rotating part 160 moves in the Y direction, and the light receiving conditions of the two light receiving parts change. In this case, the movement directions of the rotating part 160 and the protrusion 161A represented by the two light receiving signals output by the two photointerrupters 102 are the same as the arrow Q direction, and as shown in FIG. Figure 4B It is shown that they are equal in the sliding direction (-Y direction).

[0056] It should be noted that this change in the light receiving condition is the same when the rotating portion 160 moves in the counterclockwise rotation direction or when it slides in the +Y direction. Moreover, in the initial state where both light receiving portions of the photointerrupter 102 do not receive light or in the initial state where one of the two light receiving portions of the photointerrupter 102 receives light, the same is true when the rotating portion 160 moves in either the clockwise rotation direction or the counterclockwise rotation direction or when it slides in either the +Y direction or the -Y direction. In all cases, the movement directions of the rotating portion 160 and the protrusion 161A represented by the two light receiving signals outputted are equal in the rotation direction when they move in the rotation direction, and are equal in the sliding direction (Y direction) when they slide in the Y direction.

[0057] By using two light reception signals respectively output from the two photointerrupters 102 in the case of such a rotational operation and a slide operation, it is possible to distinguish between the rotational operation and the slide operation.

[0058] The knob 170 is an example of an operating member, and has a disk-shaped main body 171 and a cylindrical protrusion 172. The protrusion 172 is continuously provided on the lower side of the main body 171, and the outer diameter of the protrusion 172 is smaller than the outer diameter of the main body 171. The main body 171 is a part that is directly or indirectly operated by the user. The protrusion 172 is embedded and fixed to the outer side of the protrusion 162 of the rotating part 160, and the knob 170 rotates integrally with the rotating part 160.

[0059] The rotating portion 160 integrated with the knob 170 is held to be rotatable relative to the holder 140, and the holder 140 is slidable in the Y direction relative to the base 110, so the knob 170 is rotatable relative to the base 110 and is slidable in the Y direction relative to the base 110. The knob 170 can move in the +Y direction or the -Y direction from the neutral position in the sliding direction.

[0060] Figure 5 2 is a diagram showing a circuit configuration of the composite operation input device 100. Figure 5 The photointerrupter 102 and the control device 180 are shown in FIG. The control device 180 can be set at Figures 1 to 3 The interior of the composite operation type input device 100 (eg, the upper surface of the substrate 101 ) shown may also be provided outside the composite operation type input device 100 .

[0061] exist Figure 5 2 shows two light emitting units 103A and 103C and two light receiving units 103B and 103D of the photointerrupter 102. The light emitting units 103A and 103C are examples of light emitting elements, and the light receiving units 103B and 103D are examples of light receiving elements. The photointerrupter 102 outputs two light receiving signals indicating whether the light receiving units 103B and 103D are receiving light.

[0062] When the knob 170 is rotated or slid, the two light receiving signals change sequentially with a time difference, so the change in the signal level of the two light receiving signals indicates the moving direction of the protrusion 161A of the rotating part 160 that moves in conjunction with the rotation operation and the sliding operation of the knob 170. Such two light receiving signals are an example of moving direction information indicating the moving direction of the knob 170.

[0063] The control device 180 is realized, for example, by a microcomputer including a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a RAM (Random Access Memory), a ROM (Read Only Memory), an input / output interface, an internal bus, and the like.

[0064] The control device 180 includes a determination unit 181, an operation amount detection unit 182, and a memory 183. The determination unit 181 and the operation amount detection unit 182 are functional blocks representing functions (actions) of a program executed by the control device 180. The memory 183 functionally represents a memory of the control device 180.

[0065] The determination unit 181 determines whether the operation performed on the knob 170 is a rotation operation or a slide operation based on the movement direction information indicating the movement direction of the knob 170. If the movement direction information indicated by the two light receiving signals obtained from the two photointerrupters 102 indicates that the movement direction of the protrusion 161A is not the same direction as the sliding direction of the rotating unit 160 but is the same direction as the rotation direction, the determination unit 181 determines that the knob 170 has been rotated in the movement direction indicated by the movement direction information.

[0066] If the moving direction information indicated by the two light receiving signals obtained from the two photointerrupters 102 indicates that the moving directions of the protrusion 161A are the same in the Y direction, the determination unit 181 determines that the knob 170 is slid in the moving direction indicated by the moving direction information.

[0067] The operation amount detection unit 182 detects the operation amount (stroke) of the rotation operation and the sliding operation based on the two light receiving signals respectively outputted from the two photointerrupters 102. The operation amount of the rotation operation is the movement amount in the rotation direction of the knob 170 when it is rotated, and the operation amount of the sliding operation is the movement amount when the knob 170 is operated in the Y direction. In either case, the change in the state of the light receiving signal during the operation is detected, and the operation amount is detected based on the number of changes. Since the operation amount of the sliding operation has a small stroke, it is also possible to detect whether it is in the state of no operation at all or the state of full stroke operation (detecting the presence or absence of stroke operation).

[0068] The memory 183 stores programs, data, and the like necessary for the control device 180 to perform determination of a rotation operation and a slide operation, detection of an operation amount, and the like.

[0069] As described above, the two two-phase photointerrupters 102 are arranged on the rotation trajectory 161A1 of the protruding portion 161A of the rotating portion 160, and are arranged on a straight line passing through the rotation axis C and parallel to the X-axis. Therefore, based on the two light receiving signals respectively output from the two two-phase photointerrupters 102, the rotation operation and sliding operation of the knob 170 can be distinguished.

[0070] Therefore, it is possible to provide the composite operation input device 100 that can accurately detect a slide operation and a rotation operation.

[0071] In addition, the following composite operation type input device 100 can be provided, that is, since the operation amount of the sliding operation and the rotation operation can be detected by the operation amount detection unit 182 based on the light receiving signal output by the photointerrupter 102, the sliding operation and the rotation operation can be correctly detected, and information representing the operation amount of the sliding operation and the rotation operation can be output.

[0072] In addition, it is possible to provide the composite operation type input device 100 that can detect a slide operation and a rotation operation using two two-phase photointerrupters 102 , thereby simplifying the structure.

[0073] In addition, in a structure in which a sensor for detecting movement in a rotational direction and a sensor for detecting movement in a sliding direction are provided as in conventional composite operation input devices, if the distance between the movement in the sliding direction and the rotational direction is not set sufficiently small, the operation in the sliding direction may be mistakenly detected as an operation in the rotational direction, thereby limiting the movement in the sliding direction.

[0074] In contrast, in the composite operation input device 100 of the embodiment, there is no such limitation on the operation amount in the sliding direction. Therefore, it is possible to provide a composite operation input device 100 with a high degree of freedom in design.

[0075] In addition, since the determination unit 181 determines whether the operation is a rotation operation or a sliding operation based on the two light receiving signals outputted from the two two-phase photointerrupters 102 respectively, it is not affected by the detection timing caused by the relationship between the spacing of the protrusions 161A in the rotation direction and the size of the stroke in the operation direction, and can reliably determine the rotation operation and the sliding operation.

[0076] Furthermore, the rotational operation and the slide operation are determined based on whether the movement directions of the rotation unit 160 indicated by the two light receiving signals outputted from the two photointerrupters 102 are equal in the rotational direction or the Y direction, so the rotational operation and the slide operation can be determined reliably.

[0077] It should be noted that, in the above description, the operation amount detection unit 182 detects the operation amounts of the sliding operation and the rotating operation based on the light reception signal output by the photointerrupter 102 , but a component for detecting the operation amount of the sliding operation may be added.

[0078] Figure 6 This is a diagram showing a part of a complex operation input device 100A according to a modification of the embodiment. Figure 7 It is shown Figure 6 Figure BB cross section. Figure 6 as well as Figure 7 The composite operation input device 100A shown has a Figures 1 to 3 The composite operation input device 100 shown in the figure has two additional push switches 190. Figure 6 and Figure 7 In the embodiment, since the specifications are the same as those of the above-mentioned embodiment, descriptions about the holder 140, the bearing 150, the rotating part 160, the knob 170, etc. are omitted.

[0079] The push switch 190 is disposed on the upper surface of the substrate 101, and is disposed in a state of supporting from below the lower end of a substantially cylindrical actuator 190A inserted into a through hole penetrating from the lower surface of the main body 111 of the base 110 to the groove 114. Two push switches 190 are provided on the +Y side and the -Y side on a straight line parallel to the Y axis as the sliding direction and passing through the central axis C.

[0080] As a push switch 190, as an example, the following metal dome type switch can be used. The metal dome type switch includes a metal dome (not shown) that is in a state of protruding upward when not pressed in the -Z direction. When the metal dome is fully pressed in the -Z direction, it reverses to a state of protruding downward, giving the operator a click feeling.

[0081] When the upper end of the actuator 190A is in a neutral position where the knob 170 is not operated in the ±Y directions, the upper end of the actuator 190A is in a state of slightly contacting the inclined surface provided on the protruding portion 123A of the slider 120 .

[0082] When the knob 170 is slid in the +Y direction or the -Y direction, the slider 120 slides, and the protrusion 123A presses the upper end of the actuator 190A. The protrusion 123A protrudes obliquely with respect to the sliding direction between the lower surface of the plate 123 and the main body 121, and thus functions as a cam. When the knob 170 is slid in the +Y direction or the -Y direction, the actuator 190A is pressed in the -Z direction, and the push switch 190 is in a state of being pressed in the -Z direction.

[0083] When the push switch 190 is fully pressed, the metal dome that is reversed to a downwardly convex state contacts the contact point located below the metal dome, thereby becoming a conductive state. In addition, at this time, the knob 170 provides the operator with a click feeling.

[0084] In the composite operation input device 100A including such a push switch 190, at the initial stage of the input operation, the moving direction is detected based on the light receiving signals of the two photointerrupters 102, and a determination is made as to whether it is a rotation operation or a sliding operation. In the case of a sliding operation, the operation amount detection unit 182 does not detect the operation amount of the sliding operation based on the light receiving signals of the two photointerrupters 102, but detects the operation amount of the sliding operation based on the output signal of the push switch 190.

[0085] The operation amount detection unit 182 can reliably detect that a slide operation has been performed by the inversion of the metal dome of the push switch 190 .

[0086] Therefore, according to the modification of the embodiment, it is possible to provide a composite operation type input device 100A that can accurately detect a slide operation and a rotation operation and can more reliably detect that a slide operation has been performed.

[0087] As mentioned above, the composite operation input device according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention has been described, but the present invention is not limited to the specifically disclosed embodiment, and various modifications and changes can be made without departing from the technical scope.
