Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present application relates to an infusion device for delivering a medical fluid, such as a drug or a nutrient solution, to a patient. BACKGROUND

[0002] Infusion devices, for example volumetric (peristaltic) infusion devices, are used to deliver a medical fluid, such as a drug or a nutrient solution, to a patient with a predetermined rate of accuracy. An infusion line passing through the infusion device is connected at one end to a container, for example containing the drug solution, and at its other end to the patient, wherein a pumping mechanism in the infusion device, for example in a peristaltic manner, exerts a pumping force on the infusion line so that the drug solution is delivered through the infusion line towards the patient.

[0003] Generally, in order to better fix the infusion line in position within the infusion device, a clamping member is provided within the infusion device for fixing the infusion line in place. However, on the one hand, when the clamping of the clamping member to the infusion line is too loose, the infusion line cannot be fixed well within the infusion device and can not be clamped snugly between the bubble sensors, resulting in false alarms of the bubble sensors due to the gap between them. On the other hand, when the clamping of the clamping member to the infusion line is too tight, although the infusion line can be clamped snugly between the bubble sensors, in this case the clamping member can easily cause the infusion line to be blocked, thereby affecting the infusion operation.

[0004] Furthermore, when the infusion line is arranged on the infusion device, the drug solution should be prevented from flowing through the infusion line in an uncontrolled manner, i.e. in a so-called free-flow state. To this end, the infusion device comprises a liquid stopper mechanism which stops the flow through the infusion line before the actual infusion operation is started, for example to be able to perform an integrity check of the infusion device, in particular a so-called OCS (occlusion check system) test, etc. When the infusion operation is started, the liquid stopper mechanism is opened so that the flow through the infusion line can take place by control of the pumping mechanism.

[0005] However, in repeated operations, the conventional liquid stopper mechanism is prone to component wear and tear during switching, resulting in deterioration. Furthermore, when the liquid stopper mechanism fails to be positioned accurately, the liquid stopper mechanism will have difficulty in achieving the clamping action on the infusion line, thereby causing the medical fluid to flow through the infusion device in an undesirable manner.

[0006] In addition, the conventional infusion device has a large number of connecting components, which increases the production and assembly costs of the infusion device.

[0007] Therefore, it is desirable to realize a new infusion device with an improved design, which can at least eliminate or improve some or all of the above-mentioned problems.

[0008] It should be noted that the Background section of this document is intended to provide technical context for the present application, and is not intended to be limiting of the scope of the present application. It should also be noted that the technical content provided in this section is intended to assist the skilled person in understanding the present application, and does not necessarily constitute prior art. SUMMARY

[0009] In this section, a general summary of the present application is provided, rather than a comprehensive disclosure of the full scope or all features of the present application.

[0010] One object of the present disclosure is to provide a new infusion device that enables an infusion line to be well secured in place within the infusion device without causing the infusion line to be blocked.

[0011] Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a new infusion device that enables a bubble sensor of the infusion device to more accurately detect a bubble within an infusion line.

[0012] Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a new infusion device that enables a liquid stopper mechanism to be smoother and have no wear during switching.

[0013] Still another object of the present disclosure is to provide a new infusion device that enables accurate positioning of a liquid stopper mechanism to be ensured.

[0014] Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a new infusion device that has a speaker assembly that is easy to install.

[0015] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided an infusion device, wherein the infusion device includes: a body configured to be able to receive an infusion line and including a pumping mechanism configured to enable a medical fluid to flow through the infusion line received in the body; a pump door assembly configured to be connected to the body for closing the body, and configured for securing the infusion line in place in the body, the pump door assembly including a buckle part including: buckle protrusions provided at both ends of the buckle part in a longitudinal direction of the buckle part, and a top surface of the buckle protrusions being shaped to be adapted to receive the infusion line; a groove located at a middle position between the buckle protrusions and configured to be recessed lower than the buckle protrusions in a height direction of the buckle part.

[0016] In the above-described infusion device, the buckle part further includes a transition recess configured to extend between the groove and the buckle protrusions from both sides of both longitudinal ends of the groove.

[0017] In the infusion device described above, the body of the infusion device further comprises bubble sensors arranged on both sides of the infusion line received in the body.

[0018] In the infusion device described above, the distance between the bubble sensors is less than the diameter of the infusion line.

[0019] In the infusion device described above, the body comprises a liquid stopper mechanism comprising: a pinch valve deformable between a pinching position in which the pinch valve pinches an infusion line passing through the pinch valve to block the flow of medical fluid in the infusion line and a releasing position in which the pinch valve allows the flow of medical fluid through the infusion line, wherein the upper surface of the pinch valve has a profile in the shape of a smoothly curved curve; a lever element operable to act on the upper surface of the pinch valve for switching the pinch valve between the pinching position and the releasing position.

[0020] In the infusion device described above, the liquid stopper mechanism comprises an infrared identification assembly comprising: an infrared emitter; an infrared receiver; and an infrared light guide comprising: two light guide columns respectively positioned directly above the infrared emitter and the infrared receiver; and a connecting portion connecting the two light guide columns.

[0021] In the infusion device described above, the connecting portion further comprises an anti-light guide structure configured to form two grooves on opposite surfaces of the connecting portion, the grooves extending along the width direction of the connecting portion and being staggered with respect to each other, such that the side profile of the anti-light guide structure is in the shape of an S.

[0022] In the infusion device described above, the infrared light guide is a single-piece component formed by integral molding.

[0023] In the infusion device described above, the body further comprises a fixing member for receiving the infusion line, the fixing member comprising elastic legs on both sides of the fixing member, which are elastically deformed when the infusion line is received in the fixing member so that the infusion line is clamped in the fixing member.

[0024] In the infusion device described above, the bottom portion of the fixing member is configured to have a shape structure that cooperates with a corresponding shape structure of a portion of the body for connecting the fixing member, and the fixing member is connected to the body in a hot melt connection.

[0025] In the infusion device described above, the infusion device further comprises a speaker assembly, the speaker assembly comprising: a battery door cover, the battery door cover being located at the top of the speaker assembly, the battery door cover having two protruding extended connecting protrusions at one side of the battery door cover; a speaker; a battery door base, the battery door base being configured for receiving the battery door cover and the speaker, and the battery door base being configured to have receiving recesses for receiving the connecting protrusions; and a connecting piece, the connecting piece extending through the battery door cover and the battery door base to fixedly connect the battery door cover and the battery door base.

[0026] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the snap component of the pump door assembly is configured to have a groove adapted to receive the infusion line. With this design, the infusion line can be well fixed in place within the infusion device without causing blockage of the infusion line.

[0027] Advantageously, the snap component further comprises a transition recess for further accommodating the infusion line received in the groove.

[0028] Advantageously, the air bubble sensors arranged on both sides of the infusion line within the infusion device can detect air bubbles in the infusion line and trigger an alarm to remind the operator to check when air bubbles are detected, preventing the input of gas into the patient's body causing harm to the patient.

[0029] Advantageously, the distance between the air bubble sensors is less than the diameter of the infusion line. With this size design and the above-mentioned snap component, the infusion line can be tightly filled between the air bubble sensors, so that there is no longer a gap between the air bubble sensors due to not being tightly filled, thereby preventing the air bubble sensors from triggering a false alarm due to the presence of air in the gap.

[0030] On the other hand, advantageously, the infusion device according to the present disclosure further comprises a pinch valve having a novel profile surface. With this design, the opening and closing operation of the pinch valve by the user will be smoother and will reduce the wear and tear of the pinch valve and the like components.

[0031] In addition, advantageously, with the above-mentioned infrared recognition assembly, the operator can easily confirm whether the pinch valve is accurately positioned in the infusion device. And with the above-mentioned light prevention structure, the propagation of light in the connecting portion can be reduced, thereby improving the recognition accuracy of the infrared recognition assembly. Therefore, the infrared light guide can be formed in, for example, an integral manner as a single-piece component while allowing light to propagate only via the light guide column of the infrared light guide. Thereby, the production cost and manufacturing difficulty of the infrared light guide are reduced.

[0032] It is further advantageous that the resilient leg of the fixing member allows an operator to easily confirm that the infusion line is fully received in the fixing member. Furthermore, since the fixing member is configured to be heat staked to the body, this improves the water resistance of the infusion device and reduces the number of connection components in the infusion device.

[0033] Furthermore, the speaker assembly is assembled with the connection member by means of two connection tabs. By means of this connection design, the number of connection components in the infusion device is further reduced, thereby reducing the manufacturing costs of the infusion device and simplifying the assembly process of the infusion device. [0049] The present application is described in detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments. It should be understood that the detailed description is intended to illustrate the application, not to limit the scope of the application, and the application is defined by the appended claims.

[0050] Orientation terms such as "upper", "lower", "left", "right", etc. used in the specification are intended for the purpose of clear illustration in conjunction with the drawings only, and are not intended to limit the orientation manner of the related components. In actual operation, the positional orientation relationship between the components can be changed according to specific applications.

[0051] Figure 1 A view of an infusion device 1 in a working state according to an embodiment of the present application is shown schematically. As Figure 1As shown, the infusion device 1 includes: a body 10 configured to house the internal components of the infusion device and receive the infusion tubing 20 passing through the infusion device; a pump door assembly 30 pivotally connected to the top portion of the body 10 and closing the top of the body 10 in the operational state; and a speaker assembly 16 mounted on the side of the body 10 for alarming or alerting the operator of the infusion device 1. Additionally, the body 10 also houses a power supply unit, a pumping mechanism, electronic components for controlling the flow of medical fluid, and various sensors for detecting the flow status of the medical fluid. Buttons and a display are provided on the surface of the body 10 for the operator to input and observe preset parameters for the infusion of medical fluid. During operation of the infusion device 1, the operator inputs the preset infusion parameters via buttons on the surface of the body 10. Then, the electronic components within the body 10 control the pumping mechanism to apply a pumping action to the infusion tubing 20 housed within the body 10 in a controllable manner, thereby causing the medical fluid within the infusion tubing 20 to flow to the patient in the desired flow state.

[0052] Figure 2 A perspective view of the pump door assembly 30 and a partially enlarged view of the latching component 32 included in the pump door assembly 30 are schematically shown. Figure 2 As shown, the pump door assembly 30 includes a snap-fit member 32 formed on the inner side of the pump door assembly, which is used to secure the infusion line 20 in place within the body 10 when the pump door assembly 30 closes the body 10. Figure 2 As shown in the enlarged view, the latching member 32 includes: a latching protrusion 33 disposed at both ends of the latching member 32 along the longitudinal direction of the latching member 32, and the top surface of the latching protrusion 33 being shaped to receive the infusion line 20, for example, forming a recess suitable for receiving the infusion line 20; a groove 34 located at the middle position between the latching protrusions 33 and configured to be recessed in a generally arcuate shape in the height direction of the latching member 32 to be lower than the latching protrusions 33; and a transition recess 35 configured to extend between the groove 34 and the latching protrusions 33 on both sides of the two longitudinal ends of the groove 34.

[0053] Figure 3 A schematic top view of the body of the infusion device according to the invention is shown. Figure 3 As shown, the body 10 includes a pumping mechanism 11 that applies a pumping force to the infusion line in a manner known per se, so that the drug solution is delivered through the infusion line toward the patient.

[0054] Figure 4 It is along Figure 3 A partial cross-sectional view of body 10 intercepted by line AA. (See figure.)Figure 4 The body 10 further comprises two receiving portions 14 configured to cooperate with the snap-on part 32 of the pump door assembly 30 to receive and to restrain the infusion line 20 installed into the body 10, preferably the top of the receiving portions 14 has a chamfered configuration to facilitate the infusion line to be easily received between the receiving portions 14, and a bubble sensor 12 arranged directly below and aligned with the receiving portions 14 in the lateral direction. The lateral distance D between the bubble sensors 12 is less than the outer diameter of the infusion line 20.

[0055] Figure 5 A cross-sectional view of the infusion device is schematically shown when the snap-on part just starts to contact the infusion line received in the body. Since the infusion line 20 is flexible and the distance between the receiving portions 14 is less than the diameter of the infusion line 20, a certain upward arching deformation is generated when the infusion line 20 is received between the receiving portions 14 in the body 10 to enter the area where the bubble sensors 12 are located. Since the distance between the receiving portions 14 is less than the outer diameter of the infusion line 20, a large friction force is generated between the outer wall of the infusion line 20 and the side wall of the receiving portions 14, i.e. the side wall of the location where the bubble sensors 12 are located, during the process of receiving the infusion line 20 between the receiving portions 14, so that the infusion line 20 generates a deformed portion and causes the infusion line 20 not to be in the central position between the bubble sensors.

[0056] In the state shown in Figure 5 , the snap-on part 32 of the pump door assembly 30 just contacts the outer wall of the infusion line 20 and has not yet acted on the infusion line 20. The process of the snap-on part 32 pressing the infusion line 20 into the target position will be described below with reference to Figures 6A to 6C . During the process of the pump door assembly 30 closing downwardly, the snap-on protrusion 33 in the snap-on part 32 first contacts and presses down the infusion line 20 so that the infusion line 20 can be received in the receiving portions 14 as described above. Since the infusion line 20 itself has flexibility, the upward arching deformation generated by the infusion line 20 during the process of being pressed down by the snap-on protrusion 33 is accommodated in the groove 34 of the snap-on part 32. During the process of the snap-on protrusion 33 gradually pressing down the infusion line 20, the groove 34 accommodates the deformed portion of the infusion line 20 continuously generated, thereby reducing the resistance during the process of the infusion line 20 being pressed into the target position, so that the snap-on part 32 can press the infusion line 20 into the target position without causing the infusion line 20 to be blocked. In particular, when the deformed portion generated by the infusion line 20 is too large, the deformed portion accommodated in the groove 34 can be further deformed to be accommodated in the transition recess 35 (not shown in the figure).

[0057] Figure 7A cross-sectional view of the infusion device 1 is schematically shown when the infusion line 20 is pressed to the target position by the snap member 32. As Figure 7 indicated in the state, the infusion line 20 is tightly fitted between the bubble sensors 12, so that the bubble sensors 12 can be prevented from causing false alarms due to the gap between the bubble sensors 12.

[0058] Referring back to Figure 5 , the body 10 further comprises a liquid stopper mechanism 13. The liquid stopper mechanism 13 is provided at the other end of the body 10 opposite to the snap member 32 for restricting the infusion line 20 passing through the infusion device in place together with the snap member 32. At the same time, the liquid stopper mechanism 13 is also used for conducting and stopping the liquid flowing through the infusion line 20. Specifically, the liquid stopper mechanism 13 comprises a clamping valve 131 and a lever element 132, wherein the lever element 132 acts on the upper surface of the clamping valve 131, so that the clamping valve 131 is deformed between a clamping position and a release position with the rotation of the lever element 132. Thus, on the one hand, the liquid stopper mechanism 13 can exert a positioning action on the infusion line 20 received therein, on the other hand, before starting the actual infusion operation, for example, when a test for checking the integrity of the infusion device is required, the liquid stopper mechanism 13 is in its clamping position to clamp the infusion line 20 so as to prevent the medical fluid from flowing through the infusion line 20 in an uncontrolled manner, while when the infusion operation is to be started, the liquid stopper mechanism 13 is in its release position to allow the medical fluid to flow through the infusion line 20.

[0059] Figure 8A and Figure 8B The clamping valve 131 in the release position and the clamping position is shown as Figure 8A and Figure 8B indicated in the above, the profile of the upper surface of the clamping valve 131 is shaped to have a smoothly curved curve. The operator drives the rotation of the lever element 132 by a wrench provided outside the body, the lever element 132 is in sliding fit with the upper surface of the clamping valve 131, so as to drive the free end 130 of the clamping valve 131 to move downward to clamp the infusion line 20 and be stopped by the stopper into the clamping position as Figure 8B indicated, wherein the clamping valve 131 can press the infusion line 20 to block the flow of the medical fluid in the infusion line 20. When the clamping valve 131 is opened, the operator can, for example, by a component provided outside the body, disengage the stopper, and rotate the wrench to drive the lever element 132 to rotate in the opposite direction, so that the clamping valve 131 enters the release position as Figure 8AIn the shown release position, the pinch valve 131 allows the flow of medical fluid through the infusion line 20. Due to the smooth curved design of the upper surface of the pinch valve 131, the sliding contact of the lever element 132 with the upper surface of the pinch valve during opening and closing of the pinch valve 131 can take place in a more smooth manner and a deterioration of the components due to wear of the pinch valve can be reduced.

[0060] In order to facilitate the confirmation by the operator that the liquid stopper mechanism 13 is correctly positioned in the body 10, the liquid stopper mechanism 13 further comprises an infrared recognition assembly which is mounted below the pinch valve 131. Figure 9 The infrared recognition assembly in the assembled state is shown in a partial cross-sectional view. The infrared recognition assembly comprises an infrared emitter 133, an infrared receiver 134 and an infrared light guide 135. As Figure 9 As shown, the infrared emitter 133 emits infrared light upwards which passes through the two light guide posts 136 of the infrared light guide 135 and the bottom part of the pinch valve in the direction of the light path shown by the arrows in the figure to the infrared receiver 134. By means of the infrared signal received by the infrared receiver 134, the operator can easily confirm whether the pinch valve 131 is correctly positioned in the body 10.

[0061] Figure 10 A perspective view of the infrared light guide 135 is shown schematically. As Figure 10 As shown in the figure, the infrared light guide 135 comprises two light guide posts 136 and a connecting portion 137 connecting the two light guide posts, wherein a light guide prevention structure 138 is provided in the vicinity of the two ends of the connecting portion 137 adjacent to the light guide posts 136, so as to prevent and reduce the conduction loss of the infrared light along the connecting portion 137 and to increase the amount of light guided by the light guide 135 through the two light guide posts 136. In Figure 10 In the embodiment shown, each light guide prevention structure 138 is configured to have two grooves 139 which are formed at positions offset from the top and bottom surfaces of the connecting portion 137 and extend over the entire width of the connecting portion 137. The depth of each groove 139 can be half to 2 / 3 of the thickness of the connecting portion 137, so that the side profile of the light guide prevention structure 138 is S-shaped. By means of this design of the light guide prevention structure 138, the propagation of the infrared signal in an undesired direction can be reduced, so that the infrared light from the infrared emitter 133 will only propagate to the infrared receiver 134 in the light path shown by the arrows in the figure, thus facilitating the accurate determination by the operator whether the pinch valve 131 has been mounted in place. Figure 9

[0062] With the aid of this design, the infrared light guide 135 can be formed in one piece in the same material, for example, in one piece, while ensuring that the light propagates in the infrared light guide 135 only via the light guide column 136. The production costs and manufacturing difficulty of the infrared light guide are thereby reduced.

[0063] In addition, in order to ensure that the infusion line 20 is fixed in place in the body 10, in addition to the above-mentioned components for limiting the infusion line 20, the body 10 further comprises a fixing member 15 for fixing and limiting the infusion line 20. Figure 11A and Figure 11B The fixing member 15 and the body 10 of the infusion device 1 in the separated and connected states are schematically shown. The fixing member 15 is arranged outside the liquid stopper mechanism 13, comprises elastic legs 151 on both sides of the fixing member 15, and the bottom part of the fixing member 15 is configured to have a shape structure that matches that of the corresponding part in the body 10 for connecting the fixing member 15. In the process of connecting the fixing member 15 to the body 10, the fixing member 15 is connected to the body 10 by means of hot melt connection rather than conventional screw connection, which on the one hand improves the waterproof performance of the connection and on the other hand reduces the number of connecting components in the body 10, thereby reducing the weight of the body 10 and lowering the production costs.

[0064] As shown in Figures 12A to 12C In the process of buckling the infusion line 20 in the fixing member 15, the elastic legs 151 are elastically deformed to clamp and fix the infusion line in the fixing member 15, which facilitates the operator to determine that the infusion line has been buckled in place in the fixing member 15 while ensuring that the infusion line is fixed in place in the body 10.

[0065] In addition, referring back to Figure 1 The infusion device 1 further comprises a loudspeaker assembly 16 for issuing an alarm to the operator in the case of detecting an infusion condition abnormality. Figure 13A An exploded perspective view of the loudspeaker assembly 16 is schematically shown. As shown, the loudspeaker assembly 16 comprises a battery door cover 162, which is located at the outermost part of the loudspeaker assembly 16 and is used to close the loudspeaker assembly 16, and the battery door cover 162 has two protruding connecting protrusions 161 at one side of the battery door cover 162; a loudspeaker 163; a battery door base 164 for receiving the loudspeaker 163, the battery door cover 162 and components such as a battery not shown, and the battery door base 164 is configured to have receiving recesses for receiving the connecting protrusions 161; and a connecting member 165 for extending through the battery door cover 162 and the battery door base 164 to fixedly connect the two.

[0066] As shown in Figure 13BAs shown in the middle, in the assembled state of the speaker assembly 16, the battery door cover 12 is fixedly connected to the battery door base 164 by means of two connecting protrusions 161 located at the side of the battery door cover 12 and the connecting member 165, and the speaker 163 is also fixedly sandwiched between the battery door cover 12 and the battery door base 164. Thus, the assembly of the speaker assembly 16 is achieved with only one connecting member, i.e. the connecting member 165 here. This further reduces the number of connecting components in the infusion device, thereby saving production costs and reducing assembly and manufacturing difficulty. It is to be noted that in the illustrated embodiment, the connecting member 165 is in the form of a bolted connecting member, but the connecting member 165 can also be in the form of other connecting members suitable for connecting the battery door cover 162 and the battery door base 164.

[0067] As mentioned above, the present application discloses some embodiments and mentions some possible alternatives, and all the mentioned technical solutions are within the protection scope of the present application.
