Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to data transmission and more particularly to a method for transmitting a plurality of signals and a method for receiving a plurality of signals. Background Art

[0002] More and more data is transmitted within the vehicle, but also from and to the vehicle. In particular, when data is transmitted from and to the vehicle, the available bandwidth for data transmission is often limited.

[0003] For example, in document DE 60 2005 005 640 T2, which is related to audio signal processing, it is proposed to represent multiple audio channels by a monophonic mixed audio channel and auxiliary information for each of the multiple audio channels, so that multiple audio channels can be transmitted even at low transmission speeds. However, this method is disadvantageous in the case where the signals sometimes differ significantly from each other.

[0004] Furthermore, document EP 1 764 923 A1 proposes a method for encoding a multi-channel signal (e.g. an audio signal or a medical signal). Here, the signal of at least one channel is encoded independently, while the signals of the other channels are differentially encoded. For differential encoding, one of the independently encoded signals is used as a reference signal. Summary of the invention

[0005] There is a need to provide improved possibilities for transmitting a plurality of signals from or into a vehicle in a data-saving manner.

[0006] The object of the invention is achieved by a method for transmitting a plurality of signals, a method for receiving a plurality of signals and a vehicle according to the independent claims. Further aspects and developments of the invention are described in the dependent claims, the following description and the drawings.

[0007] According to a first aspect, the invention relates to a method for transmitting a plurality of signals. The method comprises recording or storing a plurality of signals in a time window. The time window may be fixed or variable. The received signals may be substantially any signals to be transmitted of the entity.

[0008] The method also includes grouping signals in a plurality of recorded signals into corresponding groups, wherein the signals have (relatively) similar signal shapes in a time window. In other words: a plurality of recorded signals are divided into one or more groups, wherein the signals in a group have similar signal shapes respectively. Some examples of how to determine the similarity of signals to each other are given below. The similarity of signals to each other can be determined, for example, based on expert knowledge. For example, it can be known that signals representing a particular type of information are similar to each other and can therefore be grouped. Alternatively, the signals can also be associated or the linear correlation between the signals can be determined in order to determine the similarity of the signals. For example, the corresponding difference between the signals can also be determined (or calculated), and the difference can be compared with a threshold value in order to determine the similarity. Similarly, for example, it can be checked whether the signal has a rising or falling waveform in the time window in order to determine the similarity of the signals. However, it should be noted here that the above criteria are selected purely by way of example and are only used for illustration. Other or additional criteria can also be used to group a plurality of signals.

[0009] The method also includes determining the signal of the corresponding group as the representative of the group. The representative of the group is a signal representing all the signals in the group. The representative of a group can be determined in a variety of ways. For example, the difference between the individual signals of a group can be determined, and the signal with the smallest difference with the other signals of the corresponding group as a whole can be determined as the representative. Similarly, the grouping of signals and the determination of the representative of the corresponding group can be combined. For example, one of the multiple signals can be arbitrarily selected and compared with the other signals in the multiple signals. As long as the other signals are similar to the arbitrarily selected signals, these signals are assigned to the group of the arbitrarily selected signals, and the arbitrarily selected signals are the representatives of the group. The first other signal that is not similar to the arbitrarily selected signal is determined as the representative of the other group, and now replaces the arbitrarily selected signal and compares with the remaining or ungrouped signals in the multiple signals. In the case of being similar to the representative of the other group, these signals are associated with the other group in a similar manner, or one or more additional groups are formed thereby. However, it should be noted here that the above two methods for determining the representative are purely exemplary selected and are only used for illustration. Other methods can also be used to determine the representative.

[0010] The method also includes sending transmission data, which includes, for each group, a representative of the corresponding group and corresponding transformation information for each signal contained in the corresponding group. Therefore, for each group, only the corresponding representative of the group is transmitted with the help of the transmission data, and no other signals of the group are transmitted. The corresponding transformation information describes the relationship between the corresponding signal and the representative of the group containing the corresponding signal. By utilizing the similarity between each signal in a plurality of signals, a plurality of signals can be transmitted in a data-saving manner with the help of the representative of the group and the transformation information. Compared with the recorded signal, the amount of data to be transmitted can be significantly reduced. Therefore, the method according to the present invention can achieve: data-saving transmission of a plurality of signals. The transmission data can be transmitted wiredly (for example, via a data bus) and wirelessly (for example, via a cellular network or a local wireless network).

[0011] According to some embodiments, the transmission data may also include identification information for each group, the identification information indicating or identifying the signal included in the corresponding group. The identification information may include, for example, the name or identifier (ID) of the corresponding grouped signal.

[0012] In some embodiments, the method further comprises normalizing the plurality of signals before grouping so that the signal amplitudes of all recorded signals are within a predetermined value range. For each normalized signal in the plurality of signals, corresponding normalization information characterizing the normalization of the corresponding signal is determined. The corresponding normalization information may, for example, describe a normalization factor and an offset of the normalization of the corresponding signal. Accordingly, the corresponding transformation information comprises the corresponding normalization information. In other words: the transmitted data comprises, for each group, corresponding normalization information representative of and additionally for each signal contained in the corresponding group. Further data reduction may be achieved by normalizing the signals before data transmission.

[0013] According to some embodiments, the method further comprises determining, for each further signal in the group (i.e. for each signal of the respective group that is not a representative of the respective group), a respective deviation from the representative of the respective group. In other words: for each further signal in the group, a deviation from the shape of the signal representing the respective group is determined.

[0014] If, for another signal in the group, the corresponding deviation from the representative of the corresponding group is greater than a predetermined deviation, the corresponding transformation information includes corresponding deviation information, which indicates the deviation of the corresponding other signal from the representative of the group. The deviation information enables the receiver sending the data to more accurately reconstruct the corresponding other signal. On the contrary, if, for another signal in the group, the corresponding deviation from the representative of the corresponding group is less than a predetermined deviation, the corresponding transformation information does not include the deviation information. Accordingly, a maximum data reduction for the corresponding signal can be achieved. When lossy transmission of a signal is allowed or permitted, the maximum data reduction can therefore be achieved by not transmitting the corresponding deviation information when the deviation of the signal from its representative is small.

[0015] If lossy transmission of the signal is not allowed or permitted, the transformation information for each additional signal in the corresponding group may include corresponding deviation information, which indicates the deviation of the corresponding additional signal from the representative of the group. With the help of the corresponding deviation information, the receiver of the transmitted data can accurately reconstruct the signal.

[0016] Similar to the signal itself, in some embodiments, the deviation information can also be grouped, and only the corresponding representative of the deviation information is transmitted, so as to further reduce the amount of data to be transmitted. Then, the method includes grouping similar deviation information into corresponding information groups. Similarly, the method then includes determining the deviation information of the corresponding information group as the representative of the information group. Accordingly, the transmission data includes the representative of the corresponding information group for each information group, but does not include the additional deviation information of the corresponding information group. Additionally, the transmission data can include the corresponding second transformation information for each deviation information contained in the corresponding group. The corresponding second transformation information characterizes the deviation of the corresponding deviation information from the representative of the information group containing the corresponding deviation information. The representative of the corresponding information group can be transmitted together with the second transformation information for the additional deviation information in the corresponding information group in a more data-saving manner than the deviation information itself. Optionally, the transmission data can also include second identification information for the corresponding information group, which indicates which signals in the corresponding group contain deviation information.

[0017] According to some embodiments, the method may further include compressing the transmission data by means of a compression method before transmission. For this purpose, for example, a compression method such as Run-Length Encoding (RLE), Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) algorithm or Deflate algorithm may be used. Accordingly, the transmission data may be further compressed and the amount of data to be transmitted may be further reduced.

[0018] As described above, the length of the time window can be adjustable or dynamic. Therefore, in some embodiments, the length of the time window can depend on one or more of the criteria listed below. For example, the length of the time window can depend on the operating state of the entity that generates the multiple signals. Depending on the operating state of the entity, the signal shape of the multiple signals or at least part of them can change more or less strongly. Accordingly, the data transmission according to the present invention can be matched to the behavior of the entity. The length of the time window can also depend on the type of information represented by the multiple signals. Depending on the type of information represented, the signal shape of the multiple signals or at least part of them can change more or less strongly. Accordingly, the data transmission according to the present invention can be matched to the expected signal change. Similarly, the length of the time window can depend on reaching a predetermined amount of data when recording multiple signals. If, for example, a predetermined amount of data is reached, the time window can be closed or the end of the time window can be determined. Accordingly, the data transmission according to the present invention can be dynamically matched to the amount of data to be transmitted. The length of the time window can also depend on the maximum window length predetermined by the receiver that sends the data. For example, the receiver can work at a specific refresh rate, so that the data transmission and therefore the window length must be coordinated with the refresh rate. However, it should be noted here that the above standards are purely selected by way of example and are only used for illustration. Likewise, other or additional criteria may be used to set the length of the time window.

[0019] According to some embodiments, the entity can be, for example, a vehicle. In general, a vehicle can be understood as a device comprising one or more electric motors and wheels driven thereby. Thus, the vehicle can be both a passenger car and a commercial vehicle. For example, the vehicle can be a passenger car, a truck, a motorcycle or a tractor. Thus, the method according to the invention enables the data-saving transmission of multiple signals not only within the vehicle but also from the vehicle to the outside. Accordingly, the operating state can be, for example, the speed or acceleration of the vehicle, the position of the accelerator pedal, the steering angle or any other parameter that can be adjusted or influenced by the user of the vehicle.

[0020] In some embodiments, the above-mentioned aspects of the method according to the present invention can be repeated for one or more additional time windows after the time window, so as to enable dynamic grouping of multiple signals and thus enable data-saving transmission of signals. For example, in some embodiments, the method also includes recording multiple signals in additional time windows after the time window. In addition, similar to the above-mentioned embodiment, the method includes grouping the signals of the multiple signals received in the additional time window into corresponding additional groups, and the signals have similar signal shapes in the additional time windows. In addition, the method includes determining the signals of the corresponding additional groups as representatives of the additional groups according to the above-mentioned principles. The method also includes sending additional transmission data, which includes the representatives of the corresponding additional groups for each additional group and the corresponding transformation information for each signal contained in the corresponding additional group.

[0021] As mentioned above, the length of the respective time window may be set dynamically or situation-dependently. Accordingly, according to some embodiments, the length of the further (ie second) time window may be different from the length of the (first) time window.

[0022] According to a second aspect, the present invention relates to a method for receiving multiple signals. The method comprises receiving received data, which for multiple signal groups contains corresponding representatives of the group and corresponding transformation information for each signal contained in the corresponding group. The signals in the corresponding groups of the multiple groups have similar signal shapes in the time window respectively. The corresponding representative of a group of the multiple groups is a signal contained in the corresponding group, which represents the signal contained in the corresponding group. Therefore, for each group, only the corresponding representative of the group is received by means of the transmission data, and no other signals of the group are received. Therefore, the received data can be generated and transmitted in particular according to the above-mentioned method for transmitting multiple signals (wherein the received data corresponds to the transmission data of the method for transmitting multiple signals). The received data can be received both wiredly (for example via a data bus) and wirelessly (for example via a cellular network or a local wireless network).

[0023] The method further comprises determining a plurality of signals based on representatives of the plurality of groups and transformation information for the signals contained in the plurality of groups. In other words, the plurality of signals are reconstructed based on representatives of the plurality of groups and transformation information for the signals contained in the plurality of groups. According to the method of the present invention, the plurality of signals can be reconstructed based on the received data transmitted in a data-saving manner. Therefore, the method according to the present invention enables data-saving reception of the plurality of signals.

[0024] Similar to the above embodiment, the received data may also include identification information for each group, the identification information indicating or identifying the signals included in the corresponding group. Accordingly, each signal may be identified at the receiver side.

[0025] If the transformation information for the first signal of the plurality of signals includes normalization information characterizing a normalization of the first signal of the plurality of signals, then according to some embodiments, the determination of the plurality of signals includes scaling a representative of a group including the first signal of the plurality of signals based on the normalization information for the first signal of the plurality of signals to obtain the first signal of the plurality of signals. Thus, the normalization information is used to determine the first signal of the plurality of signals based on the representative of the group including the first signal of the plurality of signals.

[0026] If the transformation information for a first signal of the plurality of signals additionally includes deviation information representing a deviation of the first signal of the plurality of signals from a representative of its group, the determining of the plurality of signals includes, before scaling, modifying a representative of a group comprising the first signal of the plurality of signals based on the deviation information for the first signal of the plurality of signals. The deviation information allows a more accurate reconstruction of the first signal of the plurality of signals based on the representative of the group.

[0027] According to an embodiment, the signals transmitted by means of the received data transmission can also be transmitted without prior normalization. If the transformation information for a further signal of the group that differs from the representative of its corresponding group additionally comprises deviation information, which indicates the deviation of the further signal from the representative of its corresponding group, the determination of the plurality of signals can therefore alternatively comprise modifying the representative of the group containing the further signal based on the deviation information for the further signal in order to obtain the further signal.

[0028] In some embodiments, the received data may also be compressed in order to further reduce the amount of data to be transmitted. Accordingly, the method may include decompressing the received data by means of a decompression method before determining the plurality of signals.

[0029] According to an embodiment, the method may be used to receive a plurality of signals, for example from a vehicle, in order to receive a plurality of signals from an external entity or an entity inside the vehicle.

[0030] In a third aspect, the invention relates to a device having at least one programmable hardware component which is designed to implement one of the methods described herein for data transmission.

[0031] In a fourth aspect, the invention relates to a vehicle having a device according to the invention as described above. Accordingly, the vehicle can exchange (i.e. send and / or receive) multiple signals in a data-saving manner not only internally but also with external entities (e.g. a backend of a vehicle manufacturer or a service provider).

[0032] The invention also relates to a control unit for a vehicle, which has a device according to the invention as described above. Accordingly, the control unit can exchange (i.e. send and / or receive) multiple signals in a data-saving manner not only with other components of the vehicle but also with external entities (e.g. the backend of a vehicle manufacturer or a service provider).

[0033] The invention also relates to a server or server group having the above-described device according to the invention. Accordingly, the server or server group can exchange (ie send and / or receive) multiple signals both internally and with external entities (eg vehicles) in a data-saving manner.

[0034] Another embodiment is a computer program for performing one of the methods described herein, when the computer program is run on a computer, a processor or a programmable hardware component. Depending on the implementation requirements determined, embodiments of the present invention can be implemented in hardware or software. The implementation can be performed by using a digital storage medium, such as a floppy disk, DVD, Blu-ray disc, CD, ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM or flash memory, hard disk or other magnetic or optical storage, on which electronically readable control signals are stored, which electronically readable control signals cooperate with or can cooperate with the programmable hardware component to perform the corresponding method.

[0035] Programmable hardware components can be formed by a processor, a computer processor (CPU=Central Processing Unit), a graphics processor (GPU=Graphics Processing Unit), a computer, a computer system, an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC=Application-Specific Integrated Circuit), an integrated circuit (IC=Integrated Circuit), a single-chip system (SOC=System on Chip), a programmable logic element or a field programmable gate array and a microprocessor (FPGA=Field Programmable Gate Array).

[0036] The digital storage medium may thus be machine-readable or computer-readable. Thus, some embodiments comprise a data carrier having electronically readable control signals capable of cooperating with a programmable computer system or a programmable hardware component such that one of the methods described herein is performed. Thus, one embodiment is a data carrier (or a digital storage medium or a computer-readable medium) having recorded thereon a program for performing one of the methods described herein. [0041] Figure 4 An embodiment of a vehicle in communication with a server is shown. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0042] Figure 1 FIG. 1 shows a flow chart of an exemplary embodiment of a method 100 for transmitting a plurality of signals. The time curves of the exemplary plurality of signals S1, S2, S3 and S4 are shown in FIG. Figure 2 However, it should be noted that Figure 2 The four signals shown in FIG. 1 are selected purely by way of example and are used purely for illustration. Any other plurality of signals can also be transmitted.

[0043] The method 100 firstly comprises recording 102 a plurality of signals in a first time window T1 .

[0044] The method 100 may also optionally include: normalizing the plurality of signals S1, ..., S4 103. Figure 2 As can be seen in the middle part of FIG. , each signal S1, ..., S4 is located within a predetermined value range from 0 to 1 after normalization. For each normalized signal S of the plurality of signals S1, ..., S4 1,n , ..., S 4,n , determine the corresponding normalization information, which characterizes the normalization of the corresponding signal S1, ..., S4. The normalized or relative signal shape S of the signal S1, ..., S4 1,n , ..., S 4,n It can be determined, for example, according to the following mathematical expression:

[0045]

[0046] Here, S i,n Indicates the corresponding signal (in Figure 2 In the example of (where i=1, ..., 4), the normalized signal shape, S i Represents the corresponding signal, S i,min represents the minimum value of the corresponding signal during the considered time window, and Si,max represents the maximum value of the corresponding signal during the considered time window.

[0047] Subsequently, the method 100 comprises grouping (clustering) 104 signals of the plurality of signals into respective groups, the signals having similar signal shapes in the first time window T1. During the first time window T1, the normalized signal S 1,n , S 2,n and S 3,n have similar signal shapes, as in Figure 2 The normalized signal S 4,n With the normalized signal S 1,n , S 2,n and S 3,n different signal shapes and are grouped into the second group accordingly.

[0048] In the following, the method 100 comprises determining 106 a signal of a corresponding group j as a representative R of group j. j For example, the normalized signal S 2,n It can be used as the representative R1 of the first group (j=1) and the normalized signal S 4,n It can be used as the representative R2 of the second group (j=2).

[0049] Furthermore, the method 100 comprises sending 108 transmission data, the transmission data comprising, for each group j, a representative R of the corresponding group j. j , and corresponding transformation information for each signal contained in the corresponding group j. Figure 2 In the example, the normalized signal shape S of signal S2 is 2,n As a representative R1 of the first group (j=1), corresponding transformation information is transmitted for each signal S1, S2 and S3. Accordingly, the normalized signal shape S of the signal S4 as a representative R2 of the second group (j=2) is transmitted. 4,n , and additionally transmits transformation information for signal S4.

[0050] When the signals S1, ..., S4 are normalized before grouping, each normalized signal S i,n Determine the corresponding normalized information, which characterizes the corresponding signal S i The corresponding transformation information includes corresponding normalization information.

[0051] Optionally, the transmission data for the two groups may also include identification information, which identifies the signals included in the corresponding groups.

[0052] The signals S1 , . . . , S4 may be transmitted in a data-saving manner according to the method 100 .

[0053] Additionally, the method 100 may optionally have one or more of the above-mentioned features.

[0054] For example, a respective deviation of the further signal relative to the representative of the respective group can be determined for each group j. This can be done, for example, as follows:

[0055] DSN i =S i,n -R j (2)

[0056] Here, DSN i represents the further (additionally normalized here) signal S i,n One of the groups relative to its representative R j Therefore, the transmitted data for a group j of k signals may include the representative R of the group j and k normalization information for k signals and k-1 deviation information, the deviation information indicating the difference between k-1 other signals in the group j and the representative R j deviation.

[0057] The transmission data for one or more groups can also be further compressed by applying a compression method before transmission 108. The compression method can depend on the representative R of the respective group, for example. j , so as to select a compression method that matches or is beneficial to it.

[0058] The above-described aspects of the method are similarly performed for the second time window T2. Figure 2 In the example shown in FIG. 1 , the signal trend of signal S3 is substantially different from each other in time windows T1 and T2. The signal shape of signal S3 is no longer similar to the signal shapes of signals S1 and S2 in the second time window T2, and signal S3 during the first time window T1 forms a group with signals S1 and S2.

[0059] During the second time window T2, the signal shape of signal S3 is similar to the signal shape of signal S4, so that now these two signals form a group (see Figure 2 The signal shapes of the signals S1 and S2 are also similar in the second time window T2, so that the signals S1 and S2 form a group again (see Figure 2 area on the right side of the screen).

[0060] Figure 3 The reconstruction of the signal from the transmitted data at the receiving side is shown in FIG. Figure 3 A flow chart of an embodiment of a method 300 for receiving a plurality of signals is shown.

[0061] The method 300 includes receiving 302 received data, which includes, for a plurality of signal groups, corresponding representatives of the groups and corresponding transformation information for each signal included in the corresponding group. The signals in the corresponding groups of the plurality of groups have similar signal shapes in a time window, respectively. The corresponding representative of a group of the plurality of groups is a signal included in the corresponding group, which represents the signals included in the corresponding group.

[0062] exist Figure 2 In the example of FIG. 1 , the received data for the first time window T1 includes, for example, a normalized signal shape S of the signal S2 representing R1 as the first group (j=1). 2,n , the IDs of the signals S1, S2 and S3 in the group and the corresponding transformation information for each signal S1, S2 and S3. Accordingly, the received data includes the normalized signal shape S of the signal S4 representing R2 as the second group (j=2). 4,n , the ID of the unique signal S4 in the group and additionally the transformation information for the signal S4.

[0063] If the received data is compressed, the method 300 optionally includes decompressing the received data by means of a decompression method.

[0064] The method 300 includes determining 304 a plurality of signals based on representatives of the plurality of groups and transformation information for signals included in the plurality of groups.

[0065] If the representative R of the group and its corresponding group j If the transformation information of the different further signals additionally comprises deviation information, the determination of the plurality of signals comprises modifying the representative R of the group comprising the further signals based on the deviation information for the further signals. j This can be done, for example, as follows:

[0066] S′ i,n =R j +DSN i (3)

[0067] Here, S′ i,n represents a normalized signal shape of the ith signal among the plurality of signals, derived from the received data.

[0068] The absolute signal shape can then be realized using the transmitted normalization information for the respective signal.

[0069] If the signal is not normalized before transmission, the scaling step at the receiver side can be omitted, since the received data does not contain the corresponding normalization information.

[0070] Figure 4Furthermore, an exemplary embodiment of a vehicle 400 is shown, which uses the proposed data transmission for exchanging data with a server 420. For this purpose, vehicle 400 comprises a programmable hardware component 410 which is designed to carry out at least one of the proposed methods.

[0071] For example, the proposed data transmission can be used to transmit vehicle data from vehicle 400 to server 420. For example, it may be of interest to transmit, in addition to other vehicle data, information about the ESP (Elektronisches Information of the electronic stability program) system is transmitted from the vehicle 400 to the server 420.

[0072] In an ESP system, there is typically at least one speed signal for each wheel. The speed signals all have similar signal curves. In the phase without ESP intervention, the speed signals have almost the same value. Accordingly, the speed signals can be grouped in one group. For example, the wheel speed signal of the left front wheel can now be determined as a representative. The speed signals of the right front wheel and the right rear wheel can, for example, deviate from the representative by less than a predetermined deviation, so that only the corresponding normalized information is transmitted for the speed signal. The speed signal of the left rear wheel can, for example, deviate from the representative by more than a predetermined deviation, so that deviation information for the speed signal is additionally transmitted. In the case of ESP intervention, it may be necessary, for example, to also transmit deviation information for the speed signals of the right front wheel and the right rear wheel because the deviation relative to the representative becomes larger, or to divide the speed signals into different groups because the signal curves are no longer similar enough during ESP intervention.

[0073] Likewise, different types of signals may be grouped into a common group for transmission. If vehicle 400 moves at a constant speed, for example, a constant signal group may be formed, in which, in addition to individual wheel speed signals, there may also be, for example, a constant gear display signal, a constant turn signal lever state display signal, a constant vehicle electrical system voltage display signal, etc.

[0074] The signals grouped and transmitted according to the proposed method can be reconstructed on the server 420 side according to the above-mentioned principle and then further processed.

[0075] If a plurality of signals (eg control signals) are transmitted from server 420 to vehicle 400 , then data transmission can also be transmitted vice versa from server 420 to vehicle 400 according to an exemplary embodiment.

A method (100) for a vehicle, the method for transmitting a plurality of signals generated in the vehicle to an entity external to the vehicle, the method comprising: recording (102) the plurality of signals within a time window; grouping (104) signals of the plurality of signals into respective groups, the signals having similar signal waveforms within the time window; determining (106) a signal of a corresponding group as a representative of said group; wirelessly transmitting (108) transmission data to an entity external to the vehicle, wherein the transmission data includes, for each group, only a representative of the corresponding group and no further signals of the corresponding group, and corresponding transformation information for each signal included in the corresponding group, wherein the corresponding transformation information describes a relationship between the corresponding signal and the representative of the group including the corresponding signal; determining for each further signal in the group a respective deviation from a representative of the respective group, wherein when the respective deviation for the further signal in the group from the representative of the respective group is greater than a predetermined deviation, the respective transformation information comprises respective deviation information representing the deviation of the respective further signal from the representative of the group, Grouping similar deviation information into corresponding information groups; and determining the deviation information of the corresponding information group as representative of the information group, The transmitted data contain, for each information group, a representation of the corresponding information group, but do not contain further deviation information of the corresponding information group.

2. The method (100) according to claim 1, further comprising: The plurality of signals are normalized before grouping (103), wherein corresponding normalization information is determined for each normalized signal in the plurality of signals, the normalization information characterizing the normalization of the corresponding signal, The corresponding transformation information includes corresponding normalization information.

3. The method (100) according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising: Prior to transmission, the transmission data are compressed by means of a compression method.

4. The method (100) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein: The length of the time window depends on one or more of the following criteria: a) The operating status of the vehicle; b) the type of information represented by the multiple signals; c) reaching a predetermined data amount when recording the plurality of signals; and d) A maximum window length predetermined by an entity external to the vehicle.

5. The method (100) according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising: recording the plurality of signals in a further time window following the time window; grouping signals of the plurality of signals received within the further time window into respective further groups, the signals having similar signal waveforms within the further time window; determining a signal of a corresponding further group as a representative of the further group; and Further transmit data are transmitted which contain, for each further group, a representative of the respective further group and respective transformation information for each signal contained in the respective further group.

6. The method (100) according to claim 5, wherein: The length of the further time window is different from the length of the time window.

7. A vehicle having at least one programmable hardware component (410) which is designed to carry out one of the methods (100) according to any one of claims 1 to 6.
