Positive electrode active material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery

Abstract

The positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries includes: a crystal structure belonging to the space group Fm-3m, and composed of the formula Li x Mn y M a O b F c (where M is at least one metallic element other than Mn, and x+y+a=b+c=2, 1<x≤1.35, 0.4≤y≤0.9, 0≤a≤0.2, 1.3≤b≤1.8) represents a lithium transition metal composite oxide. Furthermore, the lattice constant a of this lithium transition metal composite oxide is 4.09~4.16.
