Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a disinfecting composition having excellent feeling of use. Background Art
[0002] In recent years, due to concerns about the spread of infectious diseases caused by pathogenic viruses and bacteria, various products related to preventing infection have been developed. Among them, disinfectant compositions have the advantage of being able to sterilize and disinfect simply by applying them to the fingers, and are becoming widely popular.
[0003] In order to have a broad bactericidal spectrum and improve the bactericidal power in disinfectant compositions, methods such as adding specific bactericidal components or adjusting the pH of the composition to a specific range have been adopted.
[0004] In order to maintain the bactericidal power and improve the feeling of use such as quick drying and non-stickiness, a method of adjusting the type of thickener and the pH of the composition to a specific range in a disinfectant composition containing a high content of lower alcohols such as ethanol has been adopted. For example, a gel finger disinfectant has been proposed, which uses an alkali metal hydroxide to neutralize a carboxyvinyl polymer and uses polyoxyethylene glycol with a specific molecular weight to prevent the composition from becoming turbid (Patent Document 1).
[0005] However, since the pH of the above-mentioned disinfection composition is not in the neutral region or contains a large amount of lower alcohol, there is a risk of rough hands when the disinfection composition is used frequently, such as medical personnel. Therefore, in order to give the disinfection composition an effect of preventing rough hands, further methods such as adding humectants such as glycerin, propylene glycol, and sorbitol (Patent Document 2) or adding water-soluble polyols and fatty acid triglycerides (Patent Document 3) have been adopted.
[0006] In addition, recently, foamy finger disinfectant compositions have been used because of the advantages of being easy to grasp and spread on the application site. Foamy finger disinfectant compositions contain fatty acid ester-based nonionic surfactants as foaming agents, are sucked up by a pump through mesh holes, and are discharged as a collection of fine foams. For the purpose of coating and quick drying, lower alcohols may be added to foamy finger disinfectant compositions, but since lower alcohols are also defoaming agents, the foam of the discharged finger disinfectant composition has poor durability and there is a problem that the foam is defoamed before being applied to the fingers.

[0013] Therefore, from the viewpoint of preventing rough hands, etc., an object of the present invention is to provide a disinfecting composition which has a moist feeling when applied to the skin and has a persistent foaming property when discharged.
[0014] Methods for solving problems
[0015] The present inventors have conducted intensive studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, and as a result, have found that a disinfectant composition containing a specific amount of a copolymer containing a structural unit based on 2-(meth)acryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC) having a specific molecular weight (hereinafter sometimes referred to as an "MPC copolymer"), a lower alcohol, and a fatty acid ester-based nonionic surfactant has a moist feel and can improve the foam sustainability of the disinfectant composition, thereby solving the above-mentioned problems and completing the present invention.
[0016] That is, the disinfecting composition of the present invention is as described in the following [1] to [3].
[0017] [1] A disinfectant composition comprising: 0.001% to 5% by mass of an MPC copolymer containing a structural unit based on 2-(meth)acryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine, 5% to 90% by mass of a lower alcohol, and 0.01% to 10% by mass of a fatty acid ester-based nonionic surfactant, wherein the MPC copolymer is composed of one or more copolymers selected from the group consisting of an MPC copolymer a having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 400,000 and an MPC copolymer b having a weight average molecular weight of 800,000 to 1,800,000.
[0018] [2] The disinfectant composition according to [1], wherein the lower alcohol is at least one selected from the group consisting of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol.
[0019] [3] The disinfecting composition according to [1] or [2], further comprising 0.01% by mass to 5% by mass of a bactericide.
[0020] Effects of the Invention
[0021] According to the present invention, a disinfectant composition can be provided which has excellent foam sustainability when discharged in the form of foam and has a moist feeling when applied. It should be noted that the moist feeling refers to the feeling that moisture remains on the skin after applying the disinfectant composition (a feeling of excellent moisturizing property).
[0022] Therefore, when the disinfecting composition of the present invention contains a bactericide and is used on fingers, etc., the disinfecting composition can be applied without uneven coating, and can simultaneously have an excellent bactericidal effect and an effect of preventing hand roughness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0023] [Disinfection composition]
[0024] The disinfectant composition of the present invention is a disinfectant composition containing 0.001% to 5% by mass of an MPC copolymer containing a structural unit based on 2-(meth)acryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine, 5% to 90% by mass of a lower alcohol, and 0.01% to 10% by mass of a fatty acid ester-based nonionic surfactant, and the above-mentioned MPC copolymer is composed of one or more copolymers selected from the group consisting of an MPC copolymer a having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 400,000 and an MPC copolymer b having a weight average molecular weight of 800,000 to 1,800,000.
[0025] The details of the present invention are described below.
[0026] (MPC copolymer)
[0027] The disinfection composition of the present invention contains an MPC copolymer comprising a structural unit based on 2-(meth)acryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC). The MPC copolymer is a copolymer comprising a structural unit based on MPC and a structural unit based on a monomer other than MPC. As a structural unit based on a monomer other than MPC, a structural unit based on a hydrophobic monomer described later is preferred.
[0028] <MPC-based structural unit>
[0029] The structural unit based on MPC is represented by the following formula (1). In addition, in this specification, "(meth)acryloyl group" means "acryloyl group or methacryloyl group".
[0030] [Chemistry 1]
[0031]
[0032] In formula (1), R 1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
[0033] <Structural unit based on hydrophobic monomer>
[0034] Examples of the structural unit based on the hydrophobic monomer include structural units based on alkyl (meth)acrylates, (meth)acrylamide derivatives, and the like.
[0035] The structural unit based on the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester is represented by the following formula (2): Here, "(meth)acrylic acid" means "acrylic acid or methacrylic acid".
[0036] [Chemistry 2]
[0037]
[0038] In formula (2), R 2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R 3 It represents an alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms.
[0039] In formula (2), R 3 The alkyl group represented is a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, and a part of the hydrogen atoms in the alkyl group may be substituted.
[0040] Examples of the linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms include methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl, hexyl, octyl, 2-ethylhexyl, decyl, dodecyl, tetradecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl and behenyl groups.
[0041] Therefore, examples of the structural unit based on the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester represented by formula (2) include structural units based on methyl (meth)acrylate, ethyl (meth)acrylate, propyl (meth)acrylate, butyl (meth)acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl (meth)acrylate, lauryl (meth)acrylate, tridecyl (meth)acrylate, stearyl (meth)acrylate, behenyl (meth)acrylate, and the like.
[0042] In addition, R in formula (2) 3 In the alkyl group represented, a part of the hydrogen atoms of the alkyl group may be substituted. For example, a part of the hydrogen atoms of the alkyl group may be substituted with a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an amino group, a quaternary ammonium group, or the like.
[0043] Therefore, as a structural unit based on an alkyl (meth)acrylate, diethylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate, trifluoroethyl (meth)acrylate, heptadecafluorodecyl (meth)acrylate, etc., in the above formula (2), R 3 The alkyl (meth)acrylate in which the alkyl group represented by the above is substituted by a dialkylamino group, a halogen atom or the like, and the alkyl (meth)acrylate having R 3 The structural unit of 2-hydroxy-3-(meth)acryloyloxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride having a structure in which the alkyl group represented by the above-mentioned is substituted with a hydroxyl group and a quaternary ammonium group can also be exemplified as a structural unit based on a hydrophobic monomer.
[0044] Among the above structural units, the structural unit based on alkyl (meth)acrylate is preferably a structural unit based on butyl (meth)acrylate, lauryl (meth)acrylate, stearyl (meth)acrylate, or 2-hydroxy-3-(meth)acryloyloxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride, among which the structural unit based on butyl methacrylate is preferred.
[0045] The structural unit based on the (meth)acrylamide derivative is represented by the following formula (3): Here, "(meth)acrylamide" means "acrylamide or methacrylamide".
[0046] [Chemistry 3]
[0047]
[0048] (Where R 4 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R 5 and R 6 Each independently represents a methyl group or an ethyl group, and m represents an integer of 1 to 3.
[0049] For the purpose of the present invention, as the structural unit based on a (meth)acrylamide derivative, a copolymer containing a structural unit based on N,N-dimethylaminoethylacrylamide or N,N-dimethylaminopropylacrylamide is preferred.
[0050] In the present invention, as the MPC copolymer, a copolymer including one or two or more structural units based on MPC and the structural units based on the above-mentioned hydrophobic monomer can be used.
[0051] For the purpose of the present invention, as the structural unit based on the hydrophobic monomer, a copolymer containing one or more selected from the group consisting of structural units based on alkyl (meth)acrylates and structural units based on (meth)acrylamide derivatives is preferably used.
[0052] The ratio of the respective contents of the structural units based on MPC and the structural units based on the above-mentioned hydrophobic monomers in the MPC copolymer ([structural units based on MPC]: [structural units based on hydrophobic monomers]) (n1:n2) is 9:1 to 2:1 in terms of molar ratio, preferably 8:1 to 7:3, and more preferably 6:1 to 3:1.
[0053] The polymerization method of the MPC copolymer is not particularly limited, and it may be a random copolymer or a block copolymer, but is preferably a random copolymer.
[0054] The MPC copolymer may contain other structural units in addition to the structural units based on MPC and the structural units based on the hydrophobic monomer, but is preferably a copolymer composed only of the structural units based on MPC and the structural units based on the hydrophobic monomer.
[0055] Other structural units can be appropriately selected from structural units that can generally form a copolymer within a range that does not adversely affect the effects of the present invention.
[0056] As other structural units, for example, structural units based on the following substances can be listed: alkenyl esters of (meth)acrylic acid such as allyl (meth)acrylate; cyclic alkyl (meth)acrylic acid esters such as cyclohexyl (meth)acrylate; (meth)acrylates having an alkyl group substituted with a heterocycle such as tetrahydrofurfuryl (meth)acrylate; (meth)acrylates containing an aromatic group such as benzyl (meth)acrylate and phenoxyethyl (meth)acrylate; esters of (meth)acrylic acid and a monoterpene alcohol such as isobornyl (meth)acrylate; glycidyl (meth)acrylate; styrene-based monomers such as styrene, methylstyrene, and chloromethylstyrene; vinyl ether-based monomers such as methyl vinyl ether and butyl vinyl ether; vinyl ester-based monomers such as vinyl acetate and vinyl propionate, etc.
[0057] These other structural units may be contained in one kind or in two or more kinds. The content thereof in the MPC copolymer is 40 mol% or less, preferably 20 mol% or less, and more preferably 0 mol% based on the total amount of the structural units based on MPC and the structural units based on the hydrophobic monomer.
[0058] The MPC copolymer in the present invention is composed of one or more copolymers selected from the group consisting of MPC copolymer a having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 400,000 and MPC copolymer b having a weight average molecular weight of 800,000 to 1,800,000. That is, the MPC copolymer of the present invention may be the above-mentioned MPC copolymer a, may be MPC copolymer b, or may be composed of both MPC copolymer a and MPC copolymer b.
[0059] When the MPC copolymer does not contain any of the above-mentioned MPC copolymer a and copolymer b, for example, when the MPC copolymer is a copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of more than 400,000 and less than 800,000, the durability of the foam when the disinfectant composition is discharged in the form of foam is reduced. In addition, when the MPC copolymer is a copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of less than 10,000, the moisturizing property of the disinfectant composition may be reduced, and when the MPC copolymer is a copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of more than 1,800,000, precipitates are generated, and there is a concern that it is difficult to evenly apply the disinfectant composition to the skin, etc.
[0060] The weight average molecular weight of the MPC copolymer a is preferably 30,000 to 300,000, more preferably 50,000 to 200,000.
[0061] The weight average molecular weight of the MPC copolymer b is preferably 900,000 to 1,600,000, more preferably 1,000,000 to 1,400,000.
[0062] The weight average molecular weight of the MPC copolymer is measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and represented by a molecular weight converted to polyethylene glycol. GPC is measured under the following conditions.
[0063] <Measurement conditions>
[0064] GPC system: High performance liquid chromatography system CCP&8020 series (manufactured by Tosoh Corporation)
[0065] Chromatographic column: OHpak SB-802.5HQ (manufactured by Showa Denko Co., Ltd.) and OHpak SB-806HQ (manufactured by Showa Denko Co., Ltd.) connected in series
[0066] Developing solvent: 20 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.4)
[0067] Detector: Differential refractive index detector
[0068] Molecular weight standard: EasiVial PEG / PEO (manufactured by Agilent Technologies)
[0069] Flow rate: 0.5mL / min
[0070] Measurement time: 70 minutes
[0071] Column temperature: 45°C
[0072] Sample: The obtained copolymer was diluted with a developing solvent to a final concentration of 0.1 wt %.
[0073] The content of the MPC copolymer in the disinfecting composition of the present invention is 0.001 to 5% by mass, preferably 0.005 to 14% by mass, more preferably 0.01 to 3% by mass, and even more preferably 0.2 to 2% by mass from the viewpoint of improving the durability of foam and moisturizing effect.
[0074] If the content of the MPC copolymer is less than 0.001% by mass, the moisturizing effect of the disinfecting composition may be insufficient, and if the content of the MPC copolymer exceeds 5% by mass, precipitation may be generated.
[0075] When the MPC copolymer is composed of the above-mentioned MPC copolymer a and MPC copolymer b, the blending ratio of MPC copolymer a to MPC copolymer b (MPC copolymer a / MPC copolymer b: weight ratio) is preferably 0.1-10, more preferably 0.3-3, and further preferably 0.5-2.
[0076] The MPC copolymer can be produced by a known production method.
[0077] For example, it can be produced by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing MPC and a hydrophobic monomer such as an alkyl (meth)acrylate and, if necessary, a monomer corresponding to the above other structural units by a known method such as solution polymerization in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator in an inert gas atmosphere such as nitrogen.
[0078] At this time, the content ratio of each monomer may be set to a ratio corresponding to the content ratio of each structural unit in the MPC copolymer.
[0079] The MPC copolymer may be used after being produced by the above-mentioned polymerization method, or a commercially available product as a solution or dispersion in water or a polyol may be used.
[0080] In the disinfecting composition of the present invention, the above-mentioned MPC copolymers may be contained alone or in combination of two or more.
[0081] The MPC copolymer contained in the disinfecting composition of the present invention may be in the form of a solid such as a powder or a liquid such as a solution or a dispersion.
[0082] (lower alcohol)
[0083] The lower alcohol contained in the disinfecting composition of the present invention can be used without particular limitation as long as it is a monohydric alcohol having 5 or less carbon atoms, can dissolve the MPC copolymer and the bactericide, and can be used on the skin, but preferably a monohydric alcohol having 3 or less carbon atoms, more preferably a monohydric alcohol having 2 or 3 carbon atoms.
[0084] Examples of the lower alcohol preferably used in the present invention include ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, and the like, and ethanol and isopropanol are more preferably used.
[0085] In the present invention, the lower alcohol may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0086] When the disinfecting composition of the present invention contains a lower alcohol, the interfacial tension of the disinfecting composition is reduced, and the composition is easily spread on the uneven parts of the skin and medical devices, so the uniformity of the film formation is improved, and it is easy to apply it evenly to the skin.
[0087] The content of the lower alcohol in the disinfecting composition of the present invention is 5% to 90% by mass, preferably 10% to 70% by mass, preferably 15% to 50% by mass, and preferably 20% to 40% by mass.
[0088] If the content of the lower alcohol is less than 5% by mass, the formed film may be uneven and may not be applied uniformly. On the other hand, if the content of the lower alcohol exceeds 90% by mass, the moisturizing effect of the MPC copolymer may not be obtained.
[0089] (Fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant)
[0090] As the fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant contained in the disinfection composition of the present invention, glycerol fatty acid ester, sorbitan fatty acid ester, sucrose fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene fatty acid sorbitan ester etc. can be listed. Among them, polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester is preferred, and Polyoxyl40stearate (polyethylene glycol 40 stearate) is particularly preferably used.
[0091] In the disinfection composition of the present invention, the fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant can be used alone or in combination of two or more. The content of the fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant in the disinfection composition of the present invention can be appropriately set according to the type of bactericide, but is usually 0.01% to 10% by mass, preferably 0.01% to 0.5% by mass.
[0092] (water)
[0093] The disinfectant composition of the present invention preferably contains water. When preparing the disinfectant composition of the present invention, it is preferred to use the above-mentioned lower alcohol as a mixed solvent with water, because the adhesion between the MPC copolymer and the skin can be improved. This is because when the composition is dried, the evaporation rates of the lower alcohol and water are different, so the hydrophobic groups of the MPC copolymer can be effectively oriented on the skin surface.
[0094] As the water contained in the disinfecting composition of the present invention, water generally used for cosmetics or medical supplies can be used, and ion-exchanged water, purified water, water for injection, etc. are preferably used.
[0095] The water content in the disinfecting composition of the present invention is preferably 1% by mass to 89% by mass, more preferably 15% by mass to 85% by mass.
[0096] When the water content is less than 1% by mass or exceeds 89% by mass, the adhesion between the MPC copolymer and the skin is reduced, which is not preferred.
[0097] (Fungicide)
[0098] The disinfecting composition of the present invention preferably contains a bactericide. The bactericide is not particularly limited as long as it is an agent that can kill pathogenic microorganisms or inhibit their reproduction and can be used for skin disinfection.
[0099] Examples of bactericides include cationic surfactants such as benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, and cetylpyridinium chloride; amphoteric surfactants such as alkyldiaminoethylglycine hydrochloride; biguanide compounds such as chlorhexidine gluconate and chlorhexidine hydrochloride; halogen (iodine) compounds such as iodide ion, iodoform, and povidone iodine; silver-based inorganic compounds such as silver ion; phenolic compounds such as cresol and isopropylmethylphenol, etc.
[0100] From the viewpoint of bactericidal activity and low irritation to the skin, benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, chlorhexidine gluconate, and the like are preferably used.
[0101] In the disinfecting composition of the present invention, the bactericide may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0102] The content of the bactericide in the disinfecting composition of the present invention can be appropriately set depending on the type of the bactericide, etc., but is usually 0.01% by mass to 5% by mass, preferably 0.01% by mass to 0.05% by mass.
[0103] (Wetting agent)
[0104] Furthermore, the disinfecting composition of the present invention may contain a wetting agent within a range not impairing the effects of the present invention.
[0105] Examples of wetting agents include diols such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, 1,4-butylene glycol, pentanediol, hexylene glycol, isopentyl glycol, 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol, and isopentyl glycol; glycerol; glycerol condensates such as diglycerol and polyglycerol; and polyol compounds such as sugar alcohols such as sorbitol, xylitol, maltitol, mannitol, and erythritol. These can be used alone or as a mixture of two or more.
[0106] Among these moisturizing agents, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, and glycerin are more preferably used because of their good compatibility with the skin.
[0107] The content of the wetting agent in the disinfecting composition of the present invention is selected within a range that does not impair the effects of the present invention, and is preferably 0.01% by mass to 10% by mass.
[0108] The disinfecting composition of the present invention may further contain additives commonly used in external preparations such as disinfecting compositions, within a range not impairing the effects of the present invention.
[0109] Examples of such additives include thickeners, propellants, organic acids, antioxidants, stabilizers, preservatives, metal ion blocking agents, flavors, pigments, colorants, etc. These additives may be selected and contained alone or in combination of two or more depending on the purpose.
[0110] The disinfecting composition of the present invention can be uniformly produced by adding a bactericide, water, a wetting agent, and other common additives to the above-mentioned MPC copolymer, a fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant, and a lower alcohol as required and appropriately mixing them.
[0111] The disinfecting composition of the present invention can be provided in a liquid state or in a semi-solid state such as a paste.
[0112] From the viewpoint of convenience and safety during use, the disinfecting composition of the present invention is preferably in a liquid form and is prepared as a foam-dispensing type product filled in a container with a foaming pump or an aerosol container.
[0113] When the disinfectant composition of the present invention is used for disinfecting fingers, for example, an appropriate amount (about 0.5 mL to 3 mL) of the disinfectant composition can be taken, applied while rubbing the hands, and then dried.
[0114] The disinfectant composition of the present invention has excellent foam sustainability when discharged and has a moist feeling when discharged. Therefore, when the disinfectant composition of the present invention contains a bactericide and is used on fingers, etc., it can be evenly applied without uneven coating, and can have both moisturizing effect and bactericidal effect.

[0159] As shown in Table 1, each disinfectant composition of Examples 1 to 11 of the present invention was evaluated to have a moist feeling and excellent foam persistence. It was confirmed that the moist feeling and foam persistence were particularly excellent in the disinfectant compositions of Examples 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9 containing 0.5 mass % of the MPC copolymer.
[0160] In contrast, the disinfectant composition of Comparative Example 1, which does not contain the MPC copolymer, was evaluated as a disinfectant without a moist feeling and a disinfectant with poor foam persistence. The disinfectant compositions of Comparative Examples 2 and 3, which contain the MPC copolymer but have an average molecular weight other than the specific molecular weight, were evaluated as disinfectants with a moist feeling but poor foam persistence. This is considered to be because the MPC copolymer other than the specific molecular weight has a low surface tension, so when the disinfectant is discharged in the form of foam, it cannot surround fine bubbles, resulting in poor foam persistence.
[0161] From the above evaluation results for each disinfectant composition of Examples and Comparative Examples, it can be seen that the disinfectant composition of the present invention is superior in both the durability of foam and moist feeling as compared with the disinfectant composition of Comparative Examples not containing an MPC copolymer.
[0162] Industrial Applicability
[0163] As described above in detail, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a disinfecting composition which has a moist feeling and is excellent in the durability of foam when discharged in the form of foam.
[0164] When the disinfecting composition of the present invention is used on fingers or the like, it is easy to apply when discharged, so the feeling of use is excellent and roughness of the hands can be prevented.
