Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid composition.
[0002] More particularly, the present invention relates to an assembly for packaging and dispensing, in particular by means of a pipette, a fluid cosmetic product intended to be delivered in the form of a dose.
[0003] A "cosmetic product" is understood to be a product as defined in Regulation (EC) No. 1223 / 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.
[0004] By way of purely non-limiting example, the fluid product can be a skincare serum or any other cosmetic product for which it is necessary to apply an exact quantity of fluid. The fluid product can also be a product for therapeutic use, a food product or any other fluid product.
[0005] Document KR 20120044765-A discloses a system for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, comprising a container containing a cosmetic product, a cap for this container, which is screwed onto the neck of the container and provided with an aperture for receiving a syringe. The syringe comprises a hollow injection tube immersed in the container and a piston rod sliding inside the tube. The piston rod comprises, at one of its ends, a cylindrical rubber seal, the outer surface of which is in radial contact with the inner surface of the injection tube.
[0006] However, the use of a rubber seal does not make it possible to ensure proper sealing of the syringe and has a particularly short service life.
[0007] There also exist automatic extraction tube systems comprising a button configured for extracting a fluid. In this respect, reference can be made to document US 9 234 781.
[0008] However, this mechanical and automatic action for extracting the product does not make it possible to ensure the ease of use of the system.
[0009] There is therefore a need to improve the assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product.
[0010] The aim of the present invention is therefore to overcome the drawbacks of the systems described above and to propose an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, which assembly comprises a member for extracting and dispensing the product, which member exhibits better sealing and improved ease of use.
[0011] The present invention relates to an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, in particular a cosmetic product, comprising:
[0012] - a reservoir delimiting an internal volume intended to contain a fluid product and comprising an opening for accessing said internal volume; and
[0013] - a member for extracting and dispensing the product, which is mounted on the reservoir and which closes the opening of said reservoir.
[0014] Said member for extracting and dispensing the product comprises:
[0015] - an extraction tube or pipette, which is mounted in the opening of the reservoir, which extends into the internal volume and which delimits an inner conduit of the end opening; and
[0016] - a member for actuating the extraction of the product, or a piston, which is provided with a piston rod, which is capable of translational movement in the inner conduit of the extraction tube between an extraction position and a position for expelling at least a quantity of the product contained in the internal volume. The actuating member further comprises a sealing end piece, which is mounted at the lower end of the piston rod.
[0017] The sealing end piece comprises a first annular sealing member, which extends from the outer surface of the end piece in a first direction towards the inner conduit of the extraction tube and which is in contact with said conduit, and a second annular sealing member, which extends from the outer surface of the end piece in a second direction towards the inner conduit of the extraction tube and which is in contact with said conduit. The first direction is opposite to the second direction, and in a free state of said sealing end piece, the first sealing member extends radially beyond the second sealing member.
[0018] The first annular sealing member extends from the free lower end of the end piece in a first direction towards the inner conduit of the extraction tube, and the second annular sealing member extends from the free lower end of said end piece in a second direction towards the inner conduit of the extraction tube.
[0019] The sealing end piece is separate from the piston rod.
[0020] The term "free state" means an unmounted state of the sealing end piece inside the extraction tube.
[0021] In other words, in the free state, the length of the first sealing member of the sealing end piece is greater than the length of the second sealing member.
[0022] Thus, the end piece comprises two sealing members that are not symmetrical with respect to a plane passing through the axial axis and the longitudinal axis. The first sealing member makes it possible to ensure that the inner conduit of the extraction tube is sealed, while the second sealing member makes it possible to guide the end piece in the interior of said extraction tube and thereby the member for actuating extraction. The second sealing member also makes it possible to ensure ease of use during the mounting of the member for actuating product extraction, or of the piston, in particular during the loading of a dose of product in the interior of said piston, which is not the case with prior art devices having only one sealing lip. In these devices, the product does not rise smoothly in the piston, but jerkyly.
[0023] The end piece having two sealing members makes it possible to ensure that the extraction tube is sealed, and that the member for actuating extraction moves in translation smoothly in said tube, in particular in the extraction direction and in the product dispensing direction. Thus, the member for actuating extraction does not jerk in its movement in the interior of the extraction tube.
[0024] Such an end piece also makes it possible to have two sealing members exhibiting different sealing tightnesses.
[0025] Advantageously, in the free state of the end piece, the outer diameter of the first sealing member is greater than the inner diameter of the inner conduit of the extraction tube by a first distance or first clearance, and the outer diameter of the second sealing member is greater than the inner diameter of the inner conduit of the extraction tube by a second distance or second clearance. The first clearance is greater than the second clearance.
[0026] For example, the first radial clearance is between 0.125 mm and 0.025 mm, for example between 0.115 mm and 0.035 mm, for example equal to 0.08 mm, and the second radial clearance is between 0.005 mm and 0.095 mm, for example between 0.005 mm and 0.06 mm, and for example less than or equal to 0.05 mm, for example equal to 0.02 mm. In all cases, the first clearance is greater than the second clearance.
[0027] The sealing members are elastically deformable, so that during the mounting in the inner conduit of the extraction tube, said members deform to be in sealing contact with said inner conduit.
[0028] The expression "elastically deformable" means any member by the shape or material of which it is able to deform elastically under the action of an applied load, for example during the insertion into the extraction tube.
[0029] For example, the sealing end piece extends along a height axis. The first direction of the first sealing member is at a first angle with said height axis, and the second direction of the second sealing member is at a second angle with said height axis.
[0030] The first angle can be between -15° and -25°, for example equal to -20°. The second angle can be between 15° and 25°, for example equal to 20°.
[0031] According to one embodiment, the piston rod comprises a body having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along a vertical axis and delimits an inner conduit which opens into the inner conduit of the extraction tube at a lower open end, wherein the sealing end piece is mounted in the inner conduit of the piston rod.
[0032] For example, the sealing end piece comprises a mounting portion which is mounted in the inner conduit of the piston rod and comprises an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of said inner conduit. The sealing end piece comprises at least one fixing element, for example an annular projection, for example two in number, on its outer surface, which is intended to cooperate with a corresponding groove provided on the inner surface of the piston rod.
[0033] The end piece is thus fixed to the lower end of the piston rod.
[0034] For example, the sealing end piece comprises a sealing portion which extends from the mounting portion in the inner conduit of the extraction tube towards the lower end of the extraction tube, said sealing portion having a diameter greater than that of the mounting portion and forming a shoulder in axial contact with the open lower end of the piston rod.
[0035] According to one embodiment, the means for actuating the extraction of the product further comprise an actuation head fixed, for example by clamping fastening, to the upper end of the piston rod at the opposite end of the open lower end, said actuation head allowing manual actuation of the movement of the means to actuate the extraction in the extraction tube.
[0036] Advantageously, the means for actuating the extraction of the product have a stroke of at least 24 mm.
[0037] The term "stroke" means the maximum distance covered by the actuation means in the extraction tube.
[0038] The end piece is for example made of a plastic material, for example of a polymer such as polyethylene (PE), known under the name linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), or under the name high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
[0039] According to one embodiment, the means for extracting and dispensing the product further comprise a mounting skirt fixed to the upper end of the extraction tube and removably mounted on the reservoir, for example by screwing on the reservoir.
[0040] According to one embodiment, the means for extracting and dispensing the product further comprise a cap mounted radially around the mounting skirt and fixed to said mounting skirt.
[0041] For example, the cap is connected axially to the mounting skirt, for example by snap-fastening in a corresponding groove provided on the inner surface of the cap, of an annular retaining member projecting radially from the outer surface of said skirt.
[0042] For example, the outer surface of the mounting skirt and the inner surface of the cap comprise anti-rotation elements to avoid rotation of the cap relative to the mounting skirt and thereby make it possible to screw the extraction member onto the reservoir or unscrew it from the reservoir.
[0043] The cap can comprise, at its upper end, an annular flange comprising a central through-hole in which the member for actuating extraction of the product is mounted, and a stop element projecting from the annular flange and positioned radially around the central hole, the stop element of the cap being intended to cooperate with an annular stop protrusion provided on the outer surface of the piston rod. This makes it possible to have a maximum dose. Thus, if the user wishes to release a smaller dose, the user can stop before this end stop.
[0044] Thus, at the end of extraction of the product, the piston rod abuts against the cap, in particular via the stop element of the cap and the annular stop protrusion of the piston rod.
[0045] According to another aspect, the application relates to a sealing end piece of an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, comprising a first annular sealing member extending outwardly in a first direction from the outer surface of the end piece and a second annular sealing member extending outwardly in a second direction from the outer surface of the end piece, the first direction being opposite to the second direction, and in the free state of the sealing end piece, the first sealing member extending radially beyond the second sealing member.
[0046] The application will be better understood by studying the detailed description of the embodiments given by way of purely non-limiting example and illustrated in the attached drawings in which:
[0047] [ Figure 1 ] is an axial sectional view of an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product according to one embodiment of the application, in which the piston rod is in a rest position;
[0048] [ Figure 2 ] is an axial sectional view of the assembly of Figure 1 for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, in which the piston rod is in an extraction position;
[0049] [ Figure 3 ] is a detailed view of Figure 1 ;
[0050] [ Figure 4 ] is a detailed view of Figures 1 to 3A perspective view of the end component of a piston rod used for packaging and dispensing products; and
[0051] [ Figure 5 ]yes Figure 4 Cross-sectional view of the end component.
[0052] In the remainder of the instruction manual, reference will be made to the standard orthogonal basis X, Y, and Z, where Z corresponds to the height axis representing the vertical direction. The terms "up" and "down" refer to... Figures 1 to 5 The upper and lower parts.
[0053] Figure 1 and Figure 2 A component 1 is shown for packaging and dispensing fluid products, particularly cosmetic products. This component is configured to package cosmetic products, extract a certain amount of cosmetic products, and dispense or apply cosmetic products, particularly to the user's skin.
[0054] "Product" means cosmetic product, such as a liquid or semi-liquid product intended to be applied to, for example, the skin of a user. In a completely non-limiting manner, a product can be a serum, a foundation, or any fluid product intended to be drawn for dispensing.
[0055] Component 1 for packaging and dispensing fluid products includes a reservoir or container 10, which, for example, takes the form of a hollow body defining an internal body 12 for containing the product (e.g., a fluid product). The reservoir 10 extends axially along an axis Z-Z', assumed to be vertical in the figures, from an upper end 14 forming a neck to a lower end 18 forming the bottom of the reservoir, the neck having an opening 16 for access to the internal volume 12. The body of the reservoir 10 may be made of, for example, a rigid synthetic material.
[0056] As shown, the outer diameter of the neck 14 is smaller than the outer diameter of the body of the reservoir 10, and the neck includes threads 14a on its outer surface, onto which the component 20 for extracting and dispensing the product is screwed. The component 20 for extracting and dispensing the product is configured to close the opening 16 of the reservoir 10 and is removable relative to the reservoir.
[0057] The component 20 for extracting and dispensing product A includes an extraction tube or pipette 21 installed in the opening 16 of the reservoir 10.
[0058] The pipette 21 includes a body 21a having a cylindrical integral shape, which extends along an axis Z-Z' and defines an inner conduit 21b that extends from the lower end 21c of the body toward the upper end 21d of the body and leads into the internal volume 12 of the reservoir 10.
[0059] As illustrated, the inner conduit 21b has three portions of different diameters. As a variant, it can be provided that the inner conduit 21b has at least two portions of different diameters, namely a central portion and a lower portion close to the lower end 21c. The diameter of the lower portion is smaller than the diameter of the central portion. The diameter of the lower portion can be constant or variable along its entire length, as can be seen in Figures 1 to 3
[0060] The member 20 for extracting and dispensing the product A also comprises a substantially cylindrical mounting skirt 22 comprising a self-tapping thread 22a cooperating with the thread 14a of the reservoir 10. The mounting skirt 22 is fixed to the upper end 21d of the pipette 21.
[0061] The member 20 for extracting and dispensing the product A also comprises a cap 24 having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along the axis Z-Z’ and radially around the mounting skirt 22.
[0062] The cap 24 is connected to the mounting skirt 22, in particular by snap-fastening, via an annular retaining member 22b protruding radially from the outer surface of said skirt 22, in a corresponding groove 24a provided on the inner surface (not referenced) of the cap 24.
[0063] The outer surface of the mounting skirt 22 and the inner surface of the cap 24 are also provided with anti-rotation protrusions (not referenced) to avoid the rotation of the cap 24 relative to the mounting skirt 22 and, as a consequence, the screwing of the extraction member 20 onto the reservoir 10 or the unscrewing of the extraction member from the reservoir.
[0064] The cap 24 comprises, at its upper end, an annular flange 24b comprising a central through-hole 24c in which the piston 26 is mounted, and a stop element 24d protruding from the annular flange 24b towards the reservoir 10 along the vertical axis Z-Z’. The stop element 24d is positioned radially around the central hole 24c. In this case, the stop element 24d extends perpendicularly relative to the annular flange 24b along the axis Z-Z’. It can be provided that the stop element 24d extends obliquely relative to the annular flange 24b along the axis Z-Z’.
[0065] The member 20 for extracting and dispensing the product also comprises a member 26 for actuating the extraction of the product, or a piston, comprising a piston rod 27 mounted in the inner conduit 21b of the pipette 21 and configured to extract and expel the product upwards, respectively, by exerting a force on the piston 26 along the vertical axis Z-Z’.
[0066] The piston rod 27 comprises a body having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along the axis Z-Z’ and delimits an inner conduit 27a extending from a lower end 27b of the body towards an upper end 27c of the body.
[0067] The piston 26 also comprises an actuation head 25 fixed to the upper end 27c of the piston rod 27 by clamping fastening.
[0068] The outer surface of the piston rod 27 comprises an annular stop projection 27d, or annular stop protrusion, intended to cooperate with the stop element 24d of the cap 24.
[0069] The piston 26 is able to perform a translational movement in the inner conduit 21b of the pipette 21 between a rest or discharge position (visible in Figure 1 ) and a withdrawal position (visible in Figure 2 ) in which the piston rod 27 abuts against the cap 24, in particular via the stop element 24d of the cap 24 and the annular stop protrusion 27d of the piston rod 27.
[0070] The piston 26 also comprises a sealing end piece 28 mounted in the inner conduit 27a of the piston rod 27 at the lower end 27b of the piston rod.
[0071] The end piece 28 can be seen in more detail in Figures 3 to 5 .
[0072] The end piece 28 comprises a generally substantially cylindrical body 28a extending along a height axis, in this case a vertical axis Z. The body 28a of the end piece is delimited by a lower end 28b and an upper end 28c.
[0073] The end piece 28 comprises a mounting portion 28d mounted in the inner conduit 27a of the piston rod 27. The outer diameter of the mounting portion 28d is substantially equal to the inner diameter of the inner conduit 27a of the piston rod 27. The mounting portion 28d comprises on its outer surface fixing elements 28e, for example annular protrusions, for example two in number, intended to cooperate with corresponding grooves 27e on the inner surface 27a of the piston rod 27. Thereby, the end piece 28 is fixed to the lower end 27b of the piston rod 27.
[0074] As an alternative, other forms of fixing elements 28e or a plurality of annular protrusions parallel to each other can be provided, or the protrusions can be arranged to comprise at least two semi-circular portions spaced apart from each other around the circumference of the body of the end piece 28.
[0075] The mounting portion 28d is continued by a sealing portion 28f having a diameter greater than that of the mounting portion 28d, forming a shoulder 28g in axial contact with the lower surface 27b of the piston rod 27.
[0076] The sealing portion 28f is mounted in the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21.
[0077] The sealing portion 28f comprises a first annular sealing member 29a extending from the lower end 28b of the end piece 28 in a first direction towards the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21. As illustrated, the first direction is substantially oblique, making a first angle a1 with the vertical axis Z. The first sealing member 29a extends towards the lower end 21c of the pipette 21.
[0078] The first angle a1 can be between -15° and -25°, for example equal to -20°.
[0079] In the unmounted free state of the end piece 28, which can be seen in Figure 4 and Figure 5 The outer diameter of the first sealing member 29a is greater than the inner diameter of the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21 by a first radial clearance Aj1 in the unmounted free state of the end piece 28, which can be seen in
[0080] The first sealing member 29a is elastically deformable so that, during the mounting of said first sealing member 29a in said inner conduit 21a, the first sealing member deforms so as to be in sealing contact with said inner conduit.
[0081] The expression "elastically deformable" means any member by the shape or the material of which is able to elastically deform under the action of an applied load, for example during the insertion into the pipette.
[0082] The sealing portion 28f comprises a second annular sealing member 29b extending from the lower end 28b of the end piece 28 in a second direction towards the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21. As illustrated, the second direction is substantially oblique, making a second angle a2 with the vertical axis Z. The second angle a2 can be between 15° and 25°, for example equal to 20°. The second sealing member 29b extends towards the upper end 21d of the pipette 21.
[0083] The first sealing member 29a and the second sealing member 29b extend in two opposite directions.
[0084] In the unmounted free state of the end piece 28, which can be seen in Figure 4 and Figure 5 The outer diameter of the second sealing member 29b is greater than the inner diameter of the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21 by a second radial clearance Aj2 in the unmounted free state of the end piece 28, which can be seen in
[0085] The second sealing member 29b is also elastically deformable so that it deforms in contact with the inner conduit 21a during mounting of said second sealing member 29b in said inner conduit 21a.
[0086] The first sealing member 29a extends from the end piece 28 by a first distance ΔZ1 comprised between 1.5 mm and 1 mm, for example equal to 1.95 mm, and the second sealing member 29b extends from the end piece 28 by a second distance ΔZ2 comprised between 1 mm and 1.1 mm, for example equal to 1.04 mm.
[0087] Generally, the first sealing member 29a extends along a greater vertical distance than the second sealing member 29b.
[0088] In the free state of the end piece 28, the first sealing member 29a extends radially beyond the second sealing member 29b.
[0089] The end piece 28 thus comprises two sealing members 29a, 29b which are not symmetrical with respect to the plane XY passing through the axial axis X and the longitudinal axis Y. Such an end piece makes it possible to have two sealing members exhibiting different sealing tightnesses.
[0090] The end piece 28 is for example made of a plastic material, for example of a polymer such as polyethylene (PE), for example known under the name linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), or for example known under the name high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
[0091] The first sealing member 29a makes it possible to ensure that the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21 is sealed, while the second sealing member 29b makes it possible to guide the end piece 28 and thereby the piston 26 in the interior of said pipette 21.
[0092] The end piece 28 having two sealing members makes it possible to ensure that the pipette 21 is sealed and that the piston 26 moves in translation smoothly in said pipette 21, in particular in the extraction direction and in the product dispensing direction. The piston 26 thus does not jerk in its movement inside the pipette 21.
[0093] The force for releasing or dispensing the product is comprised between 2 N and 5 N.
[0094] By manual pulling or pushing actuation of the actuation head 27c, the piston 26 is set in motion in translation in the pipette 21.
[0095] The piston has a stroke of at least 24 mm. As a variant, a piston stroke of less than 24 mm can be provided.
[0096] The assembly 1 for packaging and dispensing a product also comprises a wiping member or wiper 30 comprising a cylindrical body 30a whose outer diameter is substantially equal to the inner diameter of the neck 14 of the reservoir 10.
[0097] The wiping member 30 also has, at a first free end of the body, an annular wiping lip 30b whose free end defines a wiping hole 30c having a substantially circular cross-section. This wiping lip 30b extends in the direction of the pipette 21 and is sized to be pressed against the pipette 21 during removal of the extraction and dispensing member 20 from the reservoir 10. In this case, the wiping lip 30b extends perpendicularly with respect to the body 30a towards the axis Z-Z’. It can be provided that the wiping lip 30b extends obliquely with respect to the body 30a towards the axis Z-Z’.
[0098] The inner diameter of the hole 30c is preferably less than or equal to the outer diameter of the pipette 21 in order to prevent the product contained in the reservoir 10 from escaping.
[0099] The body 30a comprises, at its upper end, a member 30d for retaining the body on the reservoir 10. As illustrated, the retaining member 30c is made in the form of an annular protrusion intended to be snap-fastened in a corresponding groove (not designated) formed on the inner surface of the neck 14. As an alternative, other forms of retaining member or a plurality of annular protrusions parallel to each other can be provided, or the protrusion can be provided in the form comprising at least two semi-circular portions spaced apart from each other around the circumference of the body of the wiping member.
[0100] At a second end opposite the first end, the body 30a of the wiping member 30 comprises an annular flange 30e in axial contact with the neck 16 of the reservoir 10.
[0101] The wiping member 30 can be made of, for example, an elastomeric material or a polyolefin, in particular polyethylene, or any other plastic material. The wiping lip 30b is, for example, more flexible than the body 30a of the wiping member 30.
[0102] As illustrated, the assembly 1 for packaging and dispensing a product also comprises an annular sealing member 32 mounted radially between the mounting skirt 22 and the pipette body 21 and axially between the pipette 21 and the end of the neck 16 of the reservoir 10.
[0103] The present invention thus provides an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, which assembly comprises a member for extracting and dispensing the product, which exhibits better sealing and improved ease of use.
