[0006] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Publication No. 2012-166635 Summary of the Invention
[0007] [The technical problem that the invention aims to solve]
[0008] Since the light-emitting element is attached to the busbar, there is a problem of the light-emitting element wobbling relative to the supporting components.
[0009] Therefore, in view of the above, the objective of the present invention is to provide a lamp assembly that prevents the light-emitting element from shaking and a vehicle door having the lamp assembly.
[0010] [Technical solutions used to solve technical problems]
[0011] To solve the above-mentioned technical problems, a lamp assembly (4, 94, 194) according to a technical solution of the present invention has: a support member (9) configured to be mounted on an installation object (3); a substrate (6) on which a light-emitting element (5) is attached; a holding member (8) engaged with the support member for clamping the substrate together with the support member so that the substrate is held in a predetermined position on the support member; and a cover member (9) having at least partial light transmittance, mounted on the support member, and cooperating with the support member to define a receiving chamber (90) for receiving the substrate and the holding member.
[0012] According to this technical solution, since the light-emitting element is bonded to the main surface of the substrate and the substrate is clamped by the support member and the holding member, it is possible to prevent the light-emitting element from shaking relative to the support member.
[0013] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the support member may have a receiving recess for receiving the substrate and the retaining member, and a locking portion (37) for locking the retaining member may be provided on the inner surface of the support member.
[0014] According to this technical solution, since the retaining component and the substrate are housed in the housing recess, damage to the retaining component and the substrate can be prevented.
[0015] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the retaining member may be plate-shaped and have a light-transmitting hole (39) that passes through at a position corresponding to the light-emitting element.
[0016] According to this technical solution, the light path from the light-emitting element to the opening of the receiving recess is not obstructed. Furthermore, due to the formation of the light-transmitting hole, the weight of the holding component can be reduced.
[0017] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the retaining member may have an outer frame (35) formed along the edge of the substrate and a plurality of beams (36, 38) disposed between the outer frame, the light-transmitting hole being defined by the outer frame and the beams, and the engaging part engaging with the outer frame.
[0018] According to this technical solution, the substrate can be fixed to the support member without obstructing the light path from the light-emitting element toward the opening of the receiving recess.
[0019] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the retaining member may have a first protrusion (101) that protrudes from at least two mutually separated portions on the outer peripheral surface of the outer frame and abuts against the wall surface (111) that defines the receiving recess.
[0020] According to this technical solution, it is possible to prevent the retaining component from wobbling relative to the supporting component.
[0021] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the retaining member may have a pair of second protrusions (102) that protrude from the outer frame toward the substrate and abut against the end face of the substrate to clamp the substrate.
[0022] According to this technical solution, the substrate is integrated with the holding member, thereby preventing the substrate from wobbling relative to the supporting member.
[0023] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, a locking recess (23) may be provided on the bottom wall of the receiving recess, and a locking protrusion (40) protruding into the locking recess may be provided on the portion of the retaining member corresponding to the locking recess (23).
[0024] According to this technical solution, when the retaining member moves along the bottom wall of the supporting member, the retaining protrusion abuts against the wall of the defined retaining recess, thus restricting the movement of the retaining member along the bottom wall of the supporting member.
[0025] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, a through hole (11) is formed on the substrate at a position opposite to the locking recess, and the locking protrusion passes through the through hole and fits into the locking recess.
[0026] According to this technical solution, since the locking protrusion is inserted into the through hole provided on the substrate, the movement of the substrate relative to the holding member in a direction orthogonal to the protrusion direction of the locking protrusion can be restricted. Therefore, since the support member is attached to the holding member, the movement of the substrate relative to the support member in the direction along the bottom wall of the support member can be restricted.
[0027] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the support member may have a connector insertion recess (22) and a connection terminal (47), wherein the connector insertion recess (22) passes through the bottom wall of the locking recess and the outer surface of the support member from the outer surface to reach the locking recess; the connection terminal (47) passes through the substrate between the locking protrusion and the locking recess to reach the connector insertion recess.
[0028] According to this technical solution, by inserting the connector into the connector insertion recess and connecting it to the connection terminal, the substrate can be connected to the connector.
[0029] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the locking recess extends along a predetermined axis to approximately the center of the connector insertion recess, the connector insertion recess extends approximately perpendicularly to the axis to approximately the center of the locking recess, the locking recess and the connector insertion recess are connected to each other, the locking protrusion has a first protruding end face (43) and a second protruding end face (44), the first protruding end face abuts against the bottom wall of the locking recess or the connecting terminal, the second protruding end face cooperates with the wall surface of the connector insertion recess to define a connector insertion hole (80) for the connector (60) to be inserted, and the connecting terminal passes between the first protruding end face and the bottom wall of the locking recess to reach the connector insertion hole.
[0030] According to this technical solution, since the connecting terminal is clamped by the first protruding end face and the bottom wall of the locking recess, movement of the connecting terminal can be prevented.
[0031] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, a groove (48) for receiving the connecting terminal may be formed on the bottom wall of the locking recess, and the first protruding end face abuts against the bottom wall of the locking recess.
[0032] According to this technical solution, it is possible to prevent the connecting terminal from moving along the bottom wall of the locking recess.
[0033] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the second protruding end face may be located at a position closer to the base end side of the locking protrusion than the first protruding end face, and a gap may be formed between the second protruding end face and the connecting terminal.
[0034] According to this technical solution, the connecting terminals and the connector can be connected by inserting the connecting terminals into the holes provided on the connector.
[0035] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the second protruding end face may be inclined toward the base end side towards the opening of the connector insertion recess.
[0036] According to this technical solution, when the connector is inserted, the connector is guided to the appropriate position by the second protruding end face, thus making the installation of the connector easy.
[0037] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, an inclined surface (55) that is continuous with the opening of the connector insertion recess can be formed on the outer surface of the support member.
[0038] According to this technical solution, when the connector is inserted, it is guided into the connector insertion hole, thus making the installation of the connector easy.
[0039] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the lamp assembly may be a step light installed on the vehicle door.
[0040] According to this technical solution, a step light that prevents the light-emitting element from shaking can be provided.
[0041] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the supporting component may be integrally formed on the door interior panel of the vehicle door.
[0042] According to this technical solution, the structure becomes simpler, making it less likely for the substrate to detach from the door trim panel.
[0043] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the support member may have a receiving recess (17) for receiving the substrate and the holding member, and a locking portion (37) for locking the holding member is provided on the wall defining the receiving recess, and a notch (204) is provided on the substrate at a position corresponding to the locking portion.
[0044] According to this technical solution, a light-emitting element is bonded to the main surface of a substrate. The substrate is held between a support member and a holding member, thus preventing the light-emitting element from wobbling relative to the support member. Furthermore, since the holding member and the substrate are housed in a receiving recess, damage to the holding member and the substrate is prevented. Because a notch is provided at a position corresponding to the engaging portion, the substrate is less likely to interfere with the engaging portion during assembly, thereby facilitating the assembly of the substrate to the support member.
[0045] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the receiving recess may be defined by a bottom wall (18) and a side wall (19) provided along the outer edge of the bottom wall, the engaging portion may be provided on the side wall, and the notch may be provided on the outer periphery of the substrate.
[0046] According to this technical solution, since the notch is located on the outer periphery of the substrate, the substrate can be easily moved so that the notch and the engaging portion are in corresponding positions, thereby making the assembly of the substrate to the support member easier.
[0047] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the substrate may be disposed between the bottom wall and the retaining member, and the engaging portion may protrude from the side wall and abut against the surface of the retaining member.
[0048] According to this technical solution, it is possible to make the assembly of the retaining components easier.
[0049] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the substrate may be generally square, and the notch may be provided on one side of the outer periphery of the substrate at approximately the center.
[0050] According to this technical solution, compared to the case where the notch is set towards the end side of the outer periphery of the substrate, it is difficult to apply load unevenly to the substrate, thus making it less likely to deform the substrate.
[0051] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the engaging portion may be provided in multiple forms on the side wall, and the notch may have a width that allows at least two engaging portions to pass through.
[0052] According to this technical solution, since the number of notches provided on the substrate can be reduced, notches can be easily formed on the substrate.
[0053] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the engaging portion may be provided only on one side (203) of the outer periphery of the substrate.
[0054] According to this technical solution, compared with the case where it is set on multiple edges on the outer periphery, it is not easy to reduce the rigidity of the substrate.
[0055] Alternatively, according to one technical solution of the present invention, the retaining member may include an outer frame (35) that is generally square with an outer edge, and the notch is disposed between the outer frame and the bottom wall.
[0056] According to this technical solution, since the notch in the substrate is also located between the retaining member and the bottom wall, objects are less likely to collide with the notch. Therefore, deformation of the substrate can be further prevented.
[0057] [Invention Effects]
[0058] According to the above technical solution, since the light-emitting element is bonded to the main surface of the substrate and the substrate is clamped by the support member and the holding member, a lamp assembly that prevents the light-emitting element from shaking can be provided.
[0059] In addition, according to the following technical solution, the support member has a receiving recess for receiving the substrate and the holding member, and a locking portion for locking the holding member is provided on the inner surface of the support member, which can prevent damage to the holding member and the substrate.
[0060] According to the following technical solution, the holding component is plate-shaped and has a light-transmitting hole that passes through at a position corresponding to the light-emitting element, which does not obstruct the light path from the light-emitting element to the opening of the receiving recess. Furthermore, because a light-transmitting hole is formed, the weight of the holding component can be reduced.
[0061] Furthermore, according to the technical solution of retaining components including an outer frame and a beam, the substrate can be fixed to the support component without obstructing the light path from the light-emitting element toward the opening of the receiving recess.
[0062] In addition, according to the following technical solution, that is, the retaining member has a first protrusion, which protrudes from at least two mutually separated portions on the outer peripheral surface of the outer frame and abuts against the wall surface of the defined receiving recess, the retaining member can be prevented from shaking relative to the supporting member.
[0063] In addition, according to the following technical solution, the holding member has a pair of second protrusions that protrude from the outer frame toward the substrate side and abut against the end face of the substrate to clamp the substrate, which enables the substrate to be attached to the holding member, thereby preventing the substrate from shaking relative to the supporting member.
[0064] In addition, according to the technical solution of the locking protrusion fitting into the locking recess, the movement of the retaining component along the bottom wall of the supporting component can be restricted.
[0065] Furthermore, according to the technical solution where the locking protrusion passes through the through hole and engages with the locking recess, the movement of the retaining component and the substrate along the bottom wall of the supporting component can be restricted.
[0066] In addition, according to the technical solution with a connector insertion recess, the connector and the substrate can be connected via a connection terminal by inserting the connector into the connector insertion recess.
[0067] In addition, according to the following technical solution, a groove for receiving the connecting terminal is formed on the bottom wall of the locking recess, the first protruding end face abuts against the bottom wall of the locking recess, and the connector insertion hole is defined by the second protruding end face and the connector insertion recess. This technical solution can clamp the connecting terminal by the first protruding end face and the bottom wall of the locking recess, thereby preventing the connecting terminal from moving and making it easier to form the connector insertion hole.
[0068] In addition, according to the following technical solution, a groove for receiving the connecting terminal is formed on the bottom wall of the locking recess, and the first protruding end face abuts against the bottom wall of the locking recess, which can prevent the connecting terminal from moving in the direction of the bottom wall of the locking recess.
[0069] In addition, according to the following technical solution, the second protruding end face is located at a position closer to the base end of the locking protrusion than the first protruding end face, and a gap is formed between the second protruding end face and the connecting terminal, the connecting terminal and the connector can be connected by inserting the connecting terminal into the hole provided on the connector.
[0070] Furthermore, according to the technical solution where the second protruding end face is in an inclined state, when the connector is inserted, the connector is guided to the appropriate position by the second protruding end face, thus making the installation of the connector easier.
[0071] In addition, according to the following technical solution, an inclined surface is formed on the outer surface of the support member that is continuous with the opening of the connector insertion recess. When the connector is inserted, the connector is guided to the connector insertion hole, thus making the installation of the connector easier.
[0072] In addition, based on the technical solution of using a step light assembly installed on a vehicle door, a step light that prevents the light-emitting element from shaking can be provided.
[0073] In addition, the technical solution of integrally forming the support component into the door interior panel of the door simplifies the structure and makes the base plate less likely to fall off the door interior panel.
[0074] Furthermore, the support member has a receiving recess for receiving the substrate and a holding member, and a locking portion for locking the holding member is provided on the wall defining the receiving recess. A notch is provided on the substrate at a position corresponding to the locking portion. Accordingly, a light-emitting element is bonded to the main surface of the substrate, and the substrate is held between the support member and the holding member, thus preventing the light-emitting element from wobbling relative to the support member. In addition, since the holding member and the substrate are received in the receiving recess, damage to the holding member and the substrate can be prevented. Because a notch is provided at a position corresponding to the locking portion, the substrate is less likely to interfere with the locking portion during assembly, thereby facilitating the assembly of the substrate to the support member.
[0075] Furthermore, according to the following technical solution, the receiving recess is defined by a bottom wall and a side wall provided along the outer edge of the bottom wall, the engaging portion is provided on the side wall, and the notch portion is provided on the outer periphery of the substrate. Since the notch portion is provided on the outer periphery of the substrate, the substrate can be easily moved in such a way that the notch portion and the engaging portion are in corresponding positions, thereby making the assembly of the substrate to the support member easier.
[0076] In addition, according to the following technical solution, in which the substrate is disposed between the bottom wall and the retaining member, and the engaging part protrudes from the side wall and abuts against the surface of the retaining member, the assembly of the retaining member can be made easier.
[0077] Furthermore, according to the following technical solution, where the substrate is approximately square and the notch is located approximately in the center on one side of the outer periphery of the substrate, compared to the case where the notch is located towards the end side of the outer periphery of the substrate, it is less likely to apply uneven loads to the substrate, thus making it less prone to substrate deformation.
[0078] In addition, according to the following technical solution, that is, the engaging part is provided with a plurality of engaging parts on the side wall and the notch has a width that allows at least two engaging parts to pass through, since the number of notches provided on the substrate can be reduced, the notch can be easily formed on the substrate.
[0079] Furthermore, according to the technical solution where the engaging part is only provided on one side of the outer periphery of the substrate, compared with the case where it is provided on multiple sides of the outer periphery, it is less likely to reduce the rigidity of the substrate.
[0080] Furthermore, according to the following technical solution, the retaining member includes an outer frame that is generally square with an outer edge, and a notch is provided between the outer frame and the bottom wall. Since the notch of the substrate is also located between the retaining member and the bottom wall, objects are less likely to collide with the notch. Accordingly, deformation of the substrate can be further prevented. Attached Figure Description

[0104] Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings, an example of applying the lamp assembly of the present invention to a courtesy lamp installed on a door for the driver's seat will be described.
[0105] <<First Implementation Method>>
[0106] like Figure 1 As shown, the driver's side door 1 has a door panel 2 that forms a frame, and a door interior panel 3 installed on the inside of the door panel 2 as an interior component. A step light 4 is installed at the lower end of the door interior panel 3.
[0107] like Figure 2 , Figure 3 and Figure 6 As shown, the step light 4 has a substrate 6 on which a light-emitting element 5 is provided, a support member 7 that supports the substrate 6, a holding member 8 that fixes the substrate 6 to the support member 7, and a cover member 9 that covers the substrate 6 and the holding member 8.
[0108] Substrate 6 is a printed circuit board on which the light-emitting element 5 is disposed. For example... Figure 7As shown, the substrate 6 is roughly rectangular in shape when viewed from above. Light-emitting elements 5 are soldered to the surface of the substrate 6. The light-emitting elements 5 can be, for example, surface-mount LEDs, organic EL elements, light bulbs, etc., as long as they emit white light. Multiple light-emitting elements 5 are disposed on the substrate 6. The light-emitting elements 5 are arranged in a grid pattern on the substrate 6. In this embodiment, the light-emitting elements 5 are arranged in a grid pattern with two rows along the short side and four columns along the long side. In addition to the light-emitting elements 5, the substrate 6 also contains resistors, diodes, etc. (not shown) required for controlling the power supply to the light-emitting elements 5.
[0109] like Figure 7 As shown, a through-hole 11 extending from the surface to the back surface is formed approximately at the center of the substrate 6. The through-hole 11 is generally rectangular in shape and extends along the long side of the substrate 6. Four connection holes 12 extending from the surface to the back surface are formed on the substrate 6. A soldering area 13 is provided around the opening of each connection hole 12 on the surface of the substrate 6. The connection holes 12 are formed on the long side of the substrate 6 relative to the through-hole 11. In this embodiment, the connection holes 12 have circular openings on both the surface and back surface of the substrate 6.
[0110] Support component 7 is made of resin. For example... Figure 2 and Figure 11 As shown, the support member 7 has a receiving portion 15 and a connector portion 16, wherein the connector portion 16 protrudes from the receiving portion 15 in a predetermined direction, namely the X direction. In the receiving portion 15, a receiving recess 17 is formed on the opposite side of the surface that engages with the connector portion 16, recessed in the X direction. The receiving recess 17 is defined by a bottom wall 18 and a side wall 19, wherein the bottom wall 18 is perpendicular to the X direction; and the side wall 19 is disposed around the bottom wall 18.
[0111] like Figure 8 As shown, the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess is generally rectangular. Hereinafter, the direction along the long side of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess will be referred to as the Y direction, and the direction along the short side of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess will be referred to as the Z direction. The side wall 19 of the receiving recess includes a pair of receiving recess transverse walls 20 connected to the short side of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess and facing each other.
[0112] like Figure 11As shown, an insertion recess 22 recessed in the Y direction is formed in the connector portion 16. A locking recess 23 recessed in the X direction is formed on the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. When viewed from the Z direction, the locking recess 23 and the insertion recess 22 partially overlap in the X and Y directions. An opening 24 is formed in the overlapping portion of the locking recess 23 and the insertion recess 22. The locking recess 23 and the insertion recess 22 are connected to each other via the opening 24. The bottom wall of the locking recess 23, i.e., the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess, is located approximately at the center of the insertion recess 22 in the X direction. The bottom wall of the insertion recess 22, i.e., the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess, is located approximately at the center of the locking recess 23 in the Y direction. The bottom wall 25 of the locking recess and the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess are connected to each other.
[0113] The sidewalls defining the insertion recess 22 include a first insertion recess transverse wall 27 and a second insertion recess transverse wall 28 facing each other, and a pair of insertion recess longitudinal walls 29 facing each other. The first insertion recess transverse wall 27 and the second insertion recess transverse wall 28 face each other in the X direction. The first insertion recess transverse wall 27 is located on the side closer to the locking recess 23 than the second insertion recess transverse wall 28. Figure 10 As shown, the longitudinal walls 29 of the insertion recess face each other in the Z direction.
[0114] like Figure 11 As shown, the sidewall of the locking recess 23 includes a locking recess longitudinal wall 30 that is orthogonal to the Y direction and faces the opening side of the insertion recess 22.
[0115] like Figure 7 As shown, substrate 6 is housed in receiving recess 17 with its main surface facing the X direction. The back side of substrate 6 abuts against the bottom wall 18 of receiving recess. Figure 6 As shown, a retaining member 8 is disposed on the surface side of the substrate 6. The retaining member 8 is a flexible resin component. Figure 9 As shown, the retaining member 8 has a generally rectangular outer frame 35 and multiple longitudinal beams 36 disposed between the outer frame 35. The outer frame 35 is formed to have a shape that is generally the same as the edge of the substrate 6.
[0116] The retaining member 8 is configured such that the portion extending along the long side of the outer frame 35 (long side) is the long side of the substrate 6, and the portion extending in a direction orthogonal to the long side of the outer frame 35 (short side) is the short side of the substrate 6. The longitudinal beams 36 extend in a direction orthogonal to the long side of the outer frame 35. The longitudinal beams 36 are connected to the portions extending along the long side of the outer frame 35. In this embodiment, three longitudinal beams 36 are provided on the retaining member 8. The retaining member 8 abuts against the substrate 6 on the surfaces (back faces) of the outer frame 35 and the longitudinal beams 36 facing the substrate 6.
[0117] like Figure 6As shown, locking protrusions 37 protruding towards the inside of the receiving recess 17 are provided on the transverse walls 20 of each receiving recess. The locking protrusions 37 are provided in pairs on each transverse wall 20 of the receiving recess. The pairs of locking protrusions 37 are arranged substantially parallel to the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess on each transverse wall 20 of the receiving recess. The locking protrusions 37 abut against the surface of the short side of the outer frame 35 to restrict the movement of the holding member 8 towards the opening of the receiving recess 17. Accordingly, the substrate 6 is held by the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess and the holding member 8. The spacing between the opposing locking protrusions 37 in the Y direction is shorter than the long side of the outer frame 35 and longer than the long side of the substrate 6.
[0118] The retaining member 8 has a crossbeam 38 that connects multiple longitudinal beams 36 at approximately the center. In this embodiment, the crossbeam 38 connects all three longitudinal beams 36. The longitudinal beams 36 and the crossbeam 38 pass between the light-emitting elements 5 arranged in a grid pattern. A light-transmitting hole 39, extending in the X direction, is formed on the retaining member 8 at a position corresponding to the light-emitting element 5 via the outer frame 35, the longitudinal beams 36, and the crossbeam 38. Figure 11 As shown, a locking protrusion 40 protruding from the back in the X direction is provided on the crossbeam 38.
[0119] The locking protrusion 40 protrudes through the through hole 11 and engages with the locking recess 23. Because the locking protrusion 40 passes through the through hole 11, the movement of the substrate 6 relative to the retaining member 8 in a direction perpendicular to the protruding direction of the locking protrusion 40 is restricted. Because the locking protrusion 40 engages with the locking recess 23, the movement of the retaining member relative to the supporting member 7 in directions along the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess (X and Y directions) is restricted.
[0120] The locking protrusion 40 is defined by a locking protrusion end wall 41 and a locking protrusion side wall 42 facing the X direction, wherein the locking protrusion side wall 42 is engaged with the periphery of the locking protrusion end wall 41. A first protruding end face 43 and a second protruding end face 44, formed at different heights and generally facing the X direction, are provided on the locking protrusion end wall 41, as well as a connecting surface 45 connecting the first protruding end face 43 and the second protruding end face 44. The first protruding end face 43 is located closer to the base end side of the locking protrusion 40 than the second protruding end face 44. The first protruding end face 43 is a surface facing the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess, and the second protruding end face 44 is located facing the transverse wall 28 of the second insertion recess via the opening 24. The connecting surface 45 faces the opening side of the insertion recess 22 in the Y direction and is connected to the wall surface of the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess. The locking protrusion 40 abuts against the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess on the first protruding end face 43. The locking protrusion sidewall 42 includes a locking protrusion longitudinal wall 46 facing the locking recess longitudinal wall 30.
[0121] Multiple metal connection terminals 47, shaped like leaf springs, are bonded to the substrate 6. For example... Figure 6 and Figure 7As shown, in this embodiment, two connection terminals 47 are attached to the substrate 6. The connection terminals 47 are attached to the substrate 6 at the base end side.
[0122] like Figure 7 and Figure 11 As shown, the connecting terminal 47 includes, in sequence from the base end side, a base end 47A, a middle portion 47B, and a protruding end 47C. The base end 47A branches into two on the base end side of the connecting terminal 47, each inserted into the connecting hole 12 and soldered to the region 13. The base end 47A extends from the connecting hole 12 towards the through hole 11. The base end 47A bends in the X direction on the protruding end side and extends into the through hole 11, connecting with the middle portion 47B. The middle portion 47B reaches the back side of the substrate 6 along the through hole 11, passing between the locking protrusion longitudinal wall 46 and the locking recess longitudinal wall 30, reaching the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess. The middle portion 47B bends on the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess and connects to the protruding end 47C. The protruding end 47C extends in the Y direction along the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess (see reference). Figure 10 A plurality of grooves 48 are formed on the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess, and these grooves 48 extend in a direction (Y direction) from the longitudinal wall 30 of the locking recess toward the opening of the insertion recess 22. In this embodiment, two grooves 48 are formed on the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess. The protruding ends 47C are respectively received in the grooves 48 on the side of the middle portion 47B, such as... Figure 10 and Figure 11 As shown, the protruding end 47C is clamped between the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess and the first protruding end face 43 on the side of the middle portion 47B.
[0123] like Figure 8 As shown, a narrow portion 49, whose width narrows along the Z direction, is formed approximately in the middle of the groove 48 in the Y direction. The width of the protruding end portion 47C in the Z direction narrows at a position corresponding to the narrow portion 49. When the connecting terminal 47 moves in the Y direction, the protruding end portion 47C abuts against the wall surface defining the narrow portion 49. The movement of the connecting terminal 47 in the Y direction is restricted by the narrow portion 49.
[0124] The protruding end portion 47C passes through the groove 48, extends in the Y direction, and protrudes into the opening of the insertion recess 22. The protruding end portion 47C protrudes substantially perpendicularly relative to the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess and reaches between the second protruding end face 44 and the second transverse wall 28 of the insertion recess. Since the second protruding end face 44 is located closer to the base end than the first protruding end face 43, the second protruding end face 44 is angled away from the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess in the X direction. This creates a gap between the second protruding end face 44 and the connecting terminal 47, with the protruding end portion 47C protruding between the continuous connecting surface 45 and the wall surface of the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess. The second protruding end face 44 is inclined toward the opening of the insertion recess 22 away from the second transverse wall 28 of the insertion recess.
[0125] A protrusion 51 extending in the Y direction and a locking hole 53 penetrating in the X direction are formed on the transverse wall 28 of the second insertion recess.
[0126] On the outer surface of the receiving portion 15, an inclined surface 55 is formed at a portion continuous with the opening of the connector insertion recess 22. The inclined surface 55 is inclined in the direction close to the axis of the connector insertion recess 22 as it approaches the connector insertion recess 22 along the Y direction.
[0127] like Figure 4 As shown, a terminal receiving hole 61 for inserting a connecting terminal 47 is formed at the insertion end of the connector 60. A connecting wire 62 extends outward from the rear surface of the connector 60 in the insertion direction. The connecting wire 62 extends along the door panel 2 towards the vehicle body and connects to a control unit (not shown) located on the vehicle body. Guide grooves 63 extending in the extension direction are formed on the side surface of the connector 60. A locking wall 65 protruding from the side surface is provided on the connector 60. A locking claw 67 engaging with the locking hole 53 is provided on the locking wall 65.
[0128] The connector insertion hole 80 is defined by the second protruding end face 44, the connecting surface 45, and the insertion recess 22. When the connector 60 is inserted into the connector insertion hole 80, the front end of the connector 60 abuts against the inclined surface 55, moves along the inclined surface 55, and is guided to the insertion recess 22. When the connector 60 is further inserted, the front end of the connector 60 abuts against the second protruding end face 44 and moves along the second protruding end face 44. Accordingly, the connector 60 is guided to the appropriate position where the connecting terminal 47 is inserted into the terminal receiving hole 61. The protrusion 51 engages with the guide groove 63, and the connector 60 is guided to the appropriate position. By engaging the locking claw 67 with the locking hole 53, the connector 60 is connected to the step light 4. At this time, as Figure 10 As shown, the connector 60 is held by the second protruding end face 44 and the second insertion recess transverse wall 28. Additionally, the connector 60 is connected to the substrate 6 via the connection terminal 47.
[0129] like Figure 2 and Figure 3 As shown, a plurality of locking claws 70 are provided on the outer surface of the receiving section 15 along the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. Figure 4 As shown, the cover component 9 is a plate-shaped material made of translucent resin. A locking hole 71 is formed at the edge of the cover component 9. By engaging the locking claw 70 into the locking hole 71, the cover component 9 is connected to the opening of the receiving recess 17. Figure 2 As shown, the opening of the receiving recess 17 is closed by the cover member 9. The receiving recess 17 and the cover member 9 define the receiving chamber 90 of the receiving substrate 6 and the holding member 8.
[0130] like Figure 6 , Figure 7 and Figure 8As shown, a plurality of protrusions 73 protruding in the opening direction are provided at the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. Figure 3 As shown, the cover member 9 abuts against the protrusion 73, and a gap is formed between the cover member 9 and the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. The gap allows heat generated from the light-emitting element 5 to be dissipated to the outside of the receiving recess 17.
[0131] The cover component 9 is formed of transparent resin, and as... Figure 2 and Figure 5 As shown, it has a cover sidewall 74 and a cover lower wall 75 joined to the cover sidewall 74 substantially perpendicularly. The cover sidewall 74 is substantially square. The cover lower wall 75 is substantially square. Figure 1 As shown, when the step light 4 is installed on the door interior panel 3, the cover sidewall 74 is configured to be continuous with the side surface of the door interior panel 3. The cover lower wall 75 is configured to be continuous with the lower surface of the door interior panel 3. A red transparent coloring part 76 is attached to the cover sidewall 74.
[0132] Step light 4 is fixed to the door interior panel 3 using screws and other specified components. A connector 60 is connected to step light 4. Door interior panel 3 is fixed to door panel 2 using specified bolts. When door 1 is closed, the X direction is directed outwards and diagonally upwards, and the Y direction is the forward / backward direction relative to the vehicle body.
[0133] After the door 1 is opened, the light-emitting element 5 illuminates. When the light-emitting element 5 is illuminated, the step light 4 illuminates red on the side wall 74 of the cover to inform vehicles behind that the door 1 is open. When the light-emitting element 5 is illuminated, the step light 4 illuminates white on the lower wall 75 of the cover to light the feet of passengers getting on and off the vehicle.
[0134] Next, the effect of the step light 4 constructed in this way will be explained. The light-emitting element 5 is attached to the substrate 6, which is held by the holding member 8 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the light-emitting element 5 from shaking.
[0135] Furthermore, the retaining member 8 and the substrate 6 are covered by the cover member 9. Additionally, the retaining member 8 and the substrate 6 are housed in the housing recess 17. The opening of the housing recess 17 is closed by the cover member 9. Therefore, even when a load is applied to the step light 4, the retaining member 8 and the substrate 6 are not directly subjected to load, thereby preventing damage to the retaining member 8 and the substrate 6.
[0136] Since the substrate 6 is held between the retaining member 8 and the supporting member 7, screws or the like are not required during installation, making installation easy. Furthermore, since the substrate 6 is positioned along the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess, it is less likely to be subjected to a load that would cause it to break, thus preventing damage or movement of the substrate 6.
[0137] Light from the light-emitting element 5 reaches the opening of the receiving recess 17 without being obstructed by the holding member 8 through the light-transmitting hole 39. Furthermore, since the light-transmitting hole 39 is formed on the holding member 8, the holding member 8 is lighter in weight compared to a plate-shaped form. Additionally, since the crossbeam 38 is connected to the longitudinal beam 36 and is not attached to the outer frame 35, the outer frame 35 can be easily bent in the Y direction, thus facilitating the assembly of the holding member 8. Because the long side of the substrate 6 is shorter than the distance between the opposing locking protrusions 37 in the Y direction, the substrate 6 can easily pass between the opposing locking protrusions 37 in the Y direction, thus facilitating the assembly of the substrate 6.
[0138] Because the connecting terminal 47 is held between the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess and the first protruding end face 43, movement of the connecting terminal 47 relative to the support member 7 can be prevented. There is no need to fix the connecting terminal 47 to the support member 7 using adhesives or the like, thus facilitating assembly.
[0139] The protruding end 47C protrudes from the connecting surface 45 and the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess. Accordingly, the connecting terminal 47 protrudes approximately from the center of the bottom wall of the connector insertion hole 80. Thus, the connecting terminal 47 can be fitted into the terminal receiving hole 61 of the connector 60.
[0140] <<Second Implementation Method>>
[0141] Compared to the step light 4 of the first embodiment, the shape of the holding member 8 and the supporting member 7 of the step light 94 of the second embodiment is different. As for the other parts, since they are the same as the step light 4 of the first embodiment, descriptions are omitted.
[0142] like Figure 12 , Figure 14 and Figure 15 As shown, the outer frame 35 of the retaining member 8 has protrusions 100 protruding outward in each long side direction on its outer surface. Each protruding end of the protrusion 100 has a generally square surface facing outward and spaced apart from each other. A plurality of first protrusions 101 protruding outward are formed on the protruding end surface of each protrusion 100. The first protrusions 101 formed on one side of the protrusion 100 are respectively positioned aligned with the first protrusions 101 formed on the other side of the protrusion 100 in the short side direction (Y direction), forming a pair. In this embodiment, the retaining member 8 has two pairs of first protrusions 101.
[0143] like Figure 15 As shown, the protrusions 100 are each formed with a surface extending along the back side and facing inward. On this surface, rib-shaped second protrusions 102 are formed, protruding inward and extending towards the back side, i.e., the side of the substrate 6. Figure 12As shown, the second protrusions 102 formed on one of the protrusions 100 are respectively disposed at positions aligned with the second protrusions 102 formed on the other protrusion 100 in the short side direction (Y direction), forming a pair. In this embodiment, the retaining member 8 has three pairs of second protrusions 102. Figure 15 As shown, the back surface of the retaining component 8 is recessed into a roughly semi-circular shape around the second protrusion 102.
[0144] like Figure 12 As shown, recessed storage recesses 110 are respectively provided on the inner surfaces of the two side walls 19 of the storage recess of the support member 7, that is, the two side walls facing the Z direction (hereinafter referred to as storage recess longitudinal walls 107). Figure 13 As shown, the receiving recess 110 consists of a pushed surface 111, two side surfaces 112, and a locking surface 113. Figure 13 The pushing surface 111 faces the inside of the receiving recess 17 and is opposite to each other; the left and right side surfaces 112 face the Y direction; and the locking surface 113 faces the X direction (the opening direction of the receiving recess 17).
[0145] like Figure 16 As shown, the distance between the two pressed surfaces 111 is approximately equal to, or slightly smaller than, the distance between the protruding ends of the paired first protrusions 101. The first protrusions 101 are respectively housed in the receiving recesses 110, and press the pressed surfaces 111 by elastic deformation. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the retaining member 8 from wobbling relative to the supporting member 7.
[0146] Alternatively, the first protrusion 101 may not be provided, and an elastic member (rubber) or non-woven fabric may be sandwiched between the outer surface of the protrusion 100 and the pressed surface 111 to prevent the retaining member 8 from wobbling relative to the supporting member 7.
[0147] The locking surface 113 is formed at a different height relative to the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess in the X direction, and is located on the opening side (upper side of the paper surface) of the receiving recess 17, which is closer to the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. The protrusion 100 abuts against the locking surface 113 on the end face of the back side (lower side of the paper surface).
[0148] like Figure 13 As shown, multiple ribs 115 protruding towards the opening side are formed on the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. The ribs 115 include two transverse ribs extending in the Y direction and three longitudinal ribs extending in the Z direction, and are formed such that the protruding ends of all the ribs 115 are aligned in the X direction. Figure 16 As shown, the protruding end face of the rib 115 is located in the X direction on the side of the biscuit stop surface 113 near the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess (the lower side of the paper).
[0149] The back surface of substrate 6 abuts against the protruding end of rib 115, with its surface positioned near the opening side of the receiving recess 17 on the locking surface 113. Additionally, second protrusions 102 abut against the end faces of substrate 6 in the Z direction. The distance between the opposing surfaces of the paired second protrusions 102 is set to be approximately equal to, or slightly smaller than, the width of substrate 6 in the Z direction. Accordingly, the second protrusions 102 elastically deform to press against the end faces of substrate 6, thereby clamping substrate 6 between the paired second protrusions 102. Thus, substrate 6 is integrated with the holding member 8, preventing substrate 6 from wobbling relative to the supporting member 7. Figure 12 As shown, in order to prevent the load applied from the second protrusion 102 from being applied to the LED elements, resistors, etc. mounted on the substrate 6, it is preferable that the LED elements, resistors, etc. are arranged away from the opposing second protrusions 102.
[0150] like Figure 12 As shown, locking protrusions 37 are provided on the transverse walls 20 of the receiving recess. Each locking protrusion 37 is a pair of claws, protruding inwards towards the receiving recess 17 in the Y direction (the insertion direction of the connector 60), and abutting against the surface of the retaining member 8. Accordingly, the movement of the substrate 6 and the retaining member 8 towards the opening of the receiving recess 17 is restricted. Furthermore, the locking protrusions 37 are located approximately at the center of the two longitudinal walls 107 of the receiving recess in the Z direction. Therefore, the outer frame 35 can be easily bent at the positions corresponding to the locking protrusions 37, thereby facilitating the assembly of the retaining member 8.
[0151] Similar to the first embodiment, a cover member 9 is attached to the support member 7. For example... Figure 16 As shown, in this embodiment, the cover sidewall 74 abuts against the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. This prevents light from leaking out between the cover sidewall 74 and the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. Additionally, as... Figure 17 As shown, a protrusion 73, identical to that in the first embodiment, is provided at the position corresponding to the lower cover wall 75 on the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. The lower cover wall 75 abuts against the protrusion 73, and a gap 116 is formed between the lower cover wall 75 and the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. Since the misalignment of the support member 7 and the cover member 9 can be absorbed through the gap 116, it is easy to combine the support member 7 and the cover member 9. Preferably, the resin constituting the cover member 9 contains a light-scattering diffusing material.
[0152] like Figure 12 As shown, the longitudinal wall 107 of the receiving recess is connected to the cover side wall 74. Figure 12Two extensions 120 are arranged on the side edge of the opening on the upper side of the paper surface. The extensions 120 protrude outward from the edge towards the outside of the opening of the receiving recess 17. A flange 121 is provided on the side edge of the opening of the longitudinal wall 107 of the receiving recess, which is connected to the lower wall 75 of the cover. The flange 121 is plate-shaped and extends outward towards the outside of the opening of the receiving recess 17. The flange 121 has a main surface in the direction of the opening of the receiving recess 17, and a plurality of flange recesses 123 (two in this embodiment) are formed on the main surface, which are recessed towards the bottom of the receiving recess 17. A tongue portion 124 protruding outward is provided on the outer surface of the transverse wall 20 of the receiving recess.
[0153] like Figure 1 As shown, the lower edge of the door trim panel 3 curves outwards. Figure 18 As shown, a door interior panel opening 130 is formed in the curved portion, and the door interior panel opening 130 is shaped to correspond to the cover member 9. The door interior panel opening 130 is composed of an upper half 130U and a lower half 130D, wherein the upper half 130U is provided on the wall surface facing the door interior panel 3 in the vehicle width direction; the lower half 130D is provided on the wall surface extending outward. An upper edge wall 131 extending towards the rear side is provided at the edge defining the upper half 130U. Two upper edge wall recesses 132 recessed towards the surface side are formed on the upper edge wall 131. Furthermore, a pair of locking plates 133 extending in a plate shape towards the rear side are provided at the front and rear of the upper edge wall 131. A claw portion 134 protruding towards the inside of the door interior panel opening 130 is provided at the extended end of the locking plate 133. A lower edge wall 135 extending upward is provided on the edge of the lower half 130D. A plurality of (two in this embodiment) upwardly protruding edge wall protrusions 136 are provided on the lower edge wall 135.
[0154] like Figure 19 As shown, the step light 94 is mounted on the door trim panel 3. During installation, the extension 120 is inserted into the opening 130 of the door trim panel from the surface side, and the extension 120 is respectively engaged with the upper edge wall recess 132. Then, the step light 94 is rotated about the extension 120 as an axis, pushing the flange 121 towards the rear side. When the flange 121 is pushed in, the edge wall protrusions 136 elastically deform and pass through the wall defining the flange recess 123, thereby embedding into the flange recess 123. Accordingly, the step light 94 is assembled on the door trim panel 3. In this way, by rotating the step light 94 about the extension 120 as an axis, the step light 94 can be easily positioned in a suitable position and assembled on the door trim panel 3.
[0155] When the step light 94 is assembled onto the door trim panel 3, the locking plates 133 abut against the side surfaces of the step light 94, and the claw portion 134 abuts against the tongue portion 124 from the rear side. Accordingly, the movement of the step light 94 along the direction of the door trim panel 3, and its movement toward the rear side of the door trim panel 3, is restricted. Furthermore, since the flange protrusion 136 is embedded in the flange recess 123, the lower part of the step light 94 is restricted from moving toward the surface side, the rear side, and along the direction of the door trim panel 3. Additionally, since the extension portion 120 abuts against the rear side of the door trim panel 3, the movement of the upper part of the step light 94 toward the surface side of the door trim panel 3 is restricted. Accordingly, the step light 94 is fixed to the door trim panel 3.
[0156] <<Third Implementation Method>>
[0157] The step light 194 according to the third embodiment differs from the step light 194 according to the first embodiment in that the shape of the substrate 6 is different, while the structures of the support member 7 and the holding member 8 are the same as in the first embodiment. Hereinafter, the shape of the substrate 6 and the relationship between the substrate 6 and the support member 7 and the holding member 8 will be mainly described; other details will be omitted. Furthermore, the structures of the support member 7 and the holding member 8 will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings of the first embodiment, as needed.
[0158] Substrate 6 is a flat printed circuit board, on which electronic components, including resistors, diodes, and other components (not shown) such as light-emitting elements 5, are soldered. Figure 20 and Figure 21 As shown, the substrate 6 has a plate-shaped base 202 and a notch 204. The plate-shaped base 202 is generally rectangular when viewed from above. The notch 204 forms a notch towards the inward side of the base 202 at approximately the center of one short side (hereinafter referred to as the first short side 203). The notch 204 is formed only on the first short side 203 and not on the other short side of the base 202 (hereinafter referred to as the second short side 209). The notch 204 is defined by a first edge wall 205, a second edge wall 206, and a third edge wall 207. The first edge wall 205 and the second edge wall 206 extend substantially parallel to the long side of the base 202; the third edge wall 207 is formed substantially parallel to the short side of the base 202. The light-emitting element 5 is a surface-mount LED element that emits white light, but it is not limited to this; it can also be an organic EL element, a light bulb, etc. In this embodiment, the light-emitting element 5 is configured as a grid with two rows in the short side direction and four columns in the long side direction.
[0159] A generally square through-hole 11 is formed on the substrate 6, extending approximately through the center and along the long side of the substrate 6. Four generally circular through-holes, i.e., connection holes 12, are also formed on the substrate 6, and these four connection holes 12 are formed relative to the square through-hole 11 on the long side of the substrate 6. A soldering area 13 is provided on the surface of the substrate 6, around the opening of the connection holes 12.
[0160] like Figure 2 and Figure 23 As shown, the support member 7 is a resin component having a housing portion 15 and a connector portion 16 protruding from the housing portion 15 in a predetermined direction, namely the X direction. In the housing portion 15, a housing recess 17 recessed in the X direction is formed on the opposite side of the surface that engages with the connector portion 16. The housing recess 17 is defined by a housing recess bottom wall 18 perpendicular to the X direction and housing recess side walls 19 provided around the housing recess bottom wall 18.
[0161] like Figure 22 As shown, the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess is generally rectangular. Hereinafter, the direction along the long side of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess will be referred to as the Y direction, and the direction along the short side will be referred to as the Z direction. The side wall 19 of the receiving recess of the support member 7 includes a transverse wall 20 and a longitudinal wall 107, wherein the transverse walls 20 are respectively connected to the short side of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess; and the longitudinal walls 107 are respectively connected to the long side of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. The transverse walls 20 of the receiving recess include a first transverse wall 20A and a second transverse wall 20B that are facing each other and generally parallel in the Y direction. The longitudinal walls 107 of the receiving recess include two longitudinal walls that are facing each other and generally parallel in the Z direction.
[0162] like Figure 21 As shown, the substrate 6 is housed in the housing recess 17 with its main surface facing the X direction. The substrate 6 is disposed on the bottom wall 18 of the housing recess with its first short side 203 along the first transverse wall 20A, and the back side of the substrate 6 abuts against the bottom wall 18 of the housing recess.
[0163] A retaining member 8 is disposed on the surface side of the substrate 6. The retaining member 8 is a flexible resin component. Figure 9 As shown, the retaining member 8 has an outer frame 35 that is generally rectangular in shape and forms its outer edge, and a plurality of longitudinal beams 36 disposed between the outer frame 35. The outer frame 35 is formed to have a shape that is generally the same as the edge of the substrate 6.
[0164] Locking protrusions 37 are provided on the transverse wall 20 of the receiving recess. For example... Figure 20As shown, two locking protrusions 37, a first locking protrusion 37A and a second locking protrusion 37B, are provided on the first transverse wall 20A. The first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B protrude inwards towards the receiving recess 17 along the Y direction. The first locking protrusion 37A is positioned relative to the second locking protrusion 37B on one side of the Z direction and is arranged parallel to the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. Additionally, two locking protrusions 37, a third locking protrusion 37C and a fourth locking protrusion 37D, are provided on the second transverse wall 20B and are arranged parallel to the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. The third locking protrusion 37C and the fourth locking protrusion 37D protrude inwards towards the receiving recess 17 along the Y direction. The first locking protrusion 37A and the third locking protrusion 37C face each other in the Y direction, and the second locking protrusion 37B and the fourth locking protrusion 37D face each other in the Y direction.
[0165] First locking protrusions 37A to fourth locking protrusions 37D are respectively abutted on the surface of the outer frame 35. Accordingly, the movement of the retaining member 8 away from the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess is restricted. Furthermore, as described above, since the back surface of the substrate 6 abuts against the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess and the surface abuts against the back surface of the retaining member 8, the retaining member 8 is locked by the first locking protrusions 37A to fourth locking protrusions 37D, and the substrate 6 is clamped between the retaining member 8 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess.
[0166] When viewed from the X direction, the notch 204 faces the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B in the Y direction, and the notch 204 is located at the position corresponding to the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B. In addition, the notch 204 is located in the X direction between the outer frame 35 of the retaining member 8 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess.
[0167] Furthermore, the distance between one end of the first locking protrusion 37A in the Z direction and the other end of the second locking protrusion 37B in the Z direction is less than the interval between the first edge wall 205 and the second edge wall 206. Accordingly, the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B are configured to pass through the notch 204 simultaneously. The distance between the protruding end of the first locking protrusion 37A and the protruding end of the third locking protrusion 37C, and the distance between the protruding end of the second locking protrusion 37B and the protruding end of the fourth locking protrusion 37D, are respectively longer than the distance between the third edge wall 207 and the second short side 209. Therefore, during assembly, the substrate 6 is moved such that the portion between the third edge wall 207 and the second short side 209 passes between the protruding ends of the first locking protrusion 37A and the third locking protrusion 37C, and between the protruding ends of the second locking protrusion 37B and the fourth locking protrusion 37D, thereby enabling the substrate 6 to be easily moved toward the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess.
[0168] The retaining member 8 has a crossbeam 38 that connects multiple longitudinal beams 36 approximately at their center. In this embodiment, the crossbeam 38 connects all three longitudinal beams 36. The longitudinal beams 36 and the crossbeam 38 pass between adjacent light-emitting elements 5. A light-transmitting hole 39 extending in the X direction is formed on the retaining member 8 at a position corresponding to the light-emitting element 5 via the outer frame 35, the longitudinal beams 36, and the crossbeam 38. Figure 23 As shown, a locking protrusion 40 protruding from the back in the X direction is provided on the crossbeam 38.
[0169] The locking protrusion 40 passes through the square through-hole 11 and protrudes into and engages with the locking recess 23. Because the locking protrusion 40 passes through the square through-hole 11, the movement of the substrate 6 relative to the retaining member 8 in a direction perpendicular to the protrusion direction of the locking protrusion 40 is restricted. Because the locking protrusion 40 engages with the locking recess 23, the movement of the retaining member relative to the supporting member 7 in directions along the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess (X and Y directions) is restricted.
[0170] like Figure 21 and Figure 23 As shown, the connecting terminal 47, starting from the base end side, includes a base end 47A, a middle portion 47B, and a protruding end 47C. The base end 47A branches into two on the base end side of the connecting terminal 47, each inserted into the connecting hole 12 and soldered to the region 13. The base end 47A extends from the connecting hole 12 towards the square through hole 11. The base end 47A bends in the X direction on the protruding end side and extends along the interior of the square through hole 11, connecting with the middle portion 47B. The middle portion 47B reaches the back side of the substrate 6 along the square through hole 11, passing between the locking protrusion longitudinal wall 46 and the locking recess longitudinal wall 30 to reach the locking recess bottom wall 25. The middle portion 47B bends on the locking recess bottom wall 25 and connects to the protruding end 47C. The protruding end 47C extends along the locking recess bottom wall 25 in the Y direction (see reference). Figure 10 A plurality of grooves 48 are formed on the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess, and the grooves 48 extend in the direction (Y direction) from the longitudinal wall 30 of the locking recess toward the opening of the insertion recess 22. In this embodiment, two grooves 48 are formed on the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess. The protruding ends 47C are respectively received in the grooves 48 on the side of the middle portion 47B, such as Figure 10 and Figure 23 As shown, the protruding end 47C is clamped between the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess and the first protruding end face 43 on the side of the middle portion 47B.
[0171] like Figure 23As shown, the protruding end portion 47C extends through the groove 48 in the Y direction and protrudes toward the opening of the insertion recess 22. The protruding end portion 47C protrudes substantially perpendicularly to the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess and reaches between the second protruding end face 44 and the second insertion recess transverse wall 28. Since the second protruding end face 44 is located on the base end side compared to the first protruding end face 43, the second protruding end face 44 is away from the bottom wall 25 of the locking recess in the X direction. As a result, a gap is formed between the second protruding end face 44 and the connecting terminal 47, and the protruding end of the protruding end portion 47C protrudes from between the continuous connecting surface 45 and the wall surface of the bottom wall 26 of the insertion recess. The second protruding end face 44 is inclined toward the opening of the insertion recess 22 away from the second insertion recess transverse wall 28.
[0172] like Figure 3 As shown, a bottom wall back surface 54, substantially perpendicular to the X direction, is formed on the surface of the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess, on the protruding side of the connector portion 16. The connector portion 16 protrudes from this bottom wall back surface 54 in the X direction, and the opening of the insertion recess 22 is located closer to the protruding side of the connector portion 16 than the bottom wall back surface 54. Figure 23 As shown, the opening edge of the insertion recess 22 is connected to the back surface of the bottom wall 54 via an inclined surface 55, wherein the inclined surface 55 is inclined toward the protruding direction of the connector portion 16 as it faces the opening of the insertion recess 22.
[0173] like Figure 2 and Figure 3 As shown, a plurality of locking claws 70 are provided on the outer surface of the receiving portion 15 along the opening edge of the receiving recess 17. Figure 4 As shown, the cover component 9 is a plate-shaped material made of translucent resin. A locking hole 71 is formed at the edge of the cover component 9. The cover component 9 engages with the opening of the receiving recess 17 by engaging with the locking hole 71 by a locking claw 70. Figure 2 As shown, the opening of the receiving recess 17 is closed by the cover member 9, thereby the support member 7 and the cover member 9 work together to form the receiving chamber 90 of the receiving substrate 6 and the holding member 8.
[0174] Cover component 9 is formed of a light-transmitting resin, such as Figure 2 and Figure 5 As shown, the enclosure has a cover sidewall 74 and a cover lower wall 75 that is substantially perpendicularly attached to the cover sidewall 74. The cover sidewall 74 is colorless and transparent, and is generally square. A red transparent colored portion 76 is provided on the outer surface of the cover sidewall 74. Figure 1As shown, when the step light 194 is mounted on the door interior panel 3, the outer surface of the colored portion 76 is continuous with the side surface of the door interior panel 3. The lower cover wall 75 is colorless and transparent, and is approximately square. When the step light 194 is mounted on the door interior panel 3, the outer surface of the lower cover wall 75 is connected to the lower surface of the door interior panel 3. In this embodiment, the cover component 9 is formed of a light-transmitting resin, but the cover component 9 may also be partially light-transmitting.
[0175] When the vehicle door 1 is opened, electricity is supplied to the light-emitting element 5 via the connecting wire 62, causing the light-emitting element 5 to emit light. The light emitted by the light-emitting element 5 illuminates the side wall 74 of the step light 194 in red. Accordingly, the step light 194 functions as a warning light to warn following vehicles. Simultaneously, the lower wall 75 of the step light 194 illuminates in white, thus the step light 194 functions as a light illuminating the feet of passengers getting in and out of the vehicle.
[0176] Next, the effect of the step light 194 constructed in this way will be explained.
[0177] During assembly, the substrate 6 is inserted obliquely into the receiving recess 17, with the second short side 209 facing the second transverse wall 20B. Then, the substrate 6 is rotated so that the first short side 203 moves towards the bottom of the receiving recess 17, bringing the substrate 6 into contact with the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. At this time, since the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B simultaneously pass through the notch 204, the substrate 6 will not interfere with the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B, thus allowing for easy configuration of the substrate 6. Furthermore, since the notch 204 is only provided on the first short side 203, the substrate 6 has higher rigidity compared to cases where the notch 204 is provided on both the first short side 203 and the second short side 209. Additionally, since the notch 204 is only provided on the first short side 203, the substrate 6 can be easily formed.
[0178] Furthermore, since the notch 204 allows both the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B to pass through simultaneously, it is unnecessary to form the notch 204 on the substrate 6 at positions corresponding to the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B, respectively. Therefore, the shape of the substrate 6 becomes simpler, making it easier to form the substrate 6.
[0179] Because the notch 204 is located at the outer periphery of the substrate 6, the substrate 6 can be easily positioned to avoid interference between the substrate 6 and the first locking protrusion 37A and the second locking protrusion 37B. Furthermore, because the notch 204 is located approximately at the center of the first short side 203, when a load is applied to the first short side 203, the load will not be concentrated at one end of the first short side 203, thus making it difficult to apply an uneven load to the substrate 6. Therefore, the substrate 6 is less prone to deformation.
[0180] The notch 204 is located between the outer frame 35 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. Therefore, objects are less likely to collide with the notch 204, thus preventing the substrate 6 from easily deforming. Since the notch 204 is clamped between the outer frame 35 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess, the first short side 203 can be more securely held between the outer frame 35 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess. Accordingly, the retaining member 8 can be stably held between the locking protrusion 37 and the bottom wall 18 of the receiving recess.
[0181] Light from the light-emitting element 5 reaches the opening of the receiving recess 17 through the light-transmitting hole 39 without being obstructed by the holding member 8. Furthermore, because the light-transmitting hole 39 is formed on the holding member 8, the holding member 8 is lighter in weight compared to a plate-shaped form. Additionally, since the crossbeam 38 connects to the longitudinal beam 36 and is not attached to the outer frame 35, the outer frame 35 can be easily bent in the Y direction, thereby facilitating the assembly of the holding member 8.
[0182] The specific embodiments have been described above, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be implemented in a wide range of variations. In this embodiment, the opening of the receiving recess 17 is closed by the cover member 9, thereby covering the entire holding member 8 and the substrate 6, but it is not limited to this method. For example, at least a portion of the holding member 8 and at least a portion of the substrate 6 can be covered by the cover member 9. In this case, by covering a portion of the holding member 8 by the cover member 9, the holding member 8 can be protected from external loads, thus preventing damage to the holding member 8. In addition, by covering a portion of the substrate 6 by the cover member 9, the substrate 6 can be protected from external loads, thus preventing damage to the substrate 6.
[0183] In the third embodiment described above, two locking protrusions 37 are provided on each of the first transverse wall 20A and the second transverse wall 20B, but more than three can also be provided. In this case, it is sufficient that at least two of the locking protrusions 37 can pass through a notch 204 simultaneously.
[0184] In this embodiment, the lamp assembly is applicable to step lights 4, 94, and 194, but is not limited to them. For example, the lamp assembly can also be applied to various vehicle lights such as headlights, turn signals, fog lights, taillights, brake lights, backlights, license plate lights, and room lamps. Additionally, the lamp assembly can also be applied to bicycle lights, flashlights, etc.
[0185] The locking protrusion 37 can also be formed at a position aligned with the second protrusion 102 in the Z direction. By configuring it in this way, since the locking protrusion 37 abuts against the non-deformable end of the outer frame 35, the substrate 6 and the retaining member 8 are less likely to fall off from the receiving recess 17.
[0186] Alternatively, when the flange 121 is pushed toward the back side of the door trim panel 3, the locking plate 133 bends toward the outside of the door trim panel opening 130, and after the step light 4 is attached to the door trim panel 3, the locking plate 133 presses against the tongue portion 124. Alternatively, the step light 4 can be attached to the door trim panel 3 by locking the claw portion 134 against the edge of the cover member 9.
[0187] Alternatively, the support component 7 can be integrally formed on the door interior panel 3, and the cover component 9 can be detached from the door interior panel 3.
