A work platform and method for automatically assembling and storing billets

Abstract

This invention belongs to the field of warehouse management technology, specifically relating to a work platform and method for automatically combining steel billets for warehousing and retrieval. The platform includes a workbench, on which are mounted a support assembly for supporting the steel billets, a pushing assembly for pushing the steel billets, a lifting assembly for lifting the steel billets, and a control mechanism. The support assembly includes multiple load-bearing beams mounted on the workbench, with multiple support legs fixedly connected to the workbench at the bottom of each beam. Buffer components are installed between the load-bearing beams and the support legs. The pushing assembly includes two mounting frames mounted on the workbench, with second hydraulic cylinders installed near both ends of each frame. This invention, through the cooperation of the load-bearing beams, second hydraulic cylinders, push plates, and positioning blocks, enables the combination of different quantities of steel billets, eliminating the need for workers to move each billet individually, thus improving both safety and work efficiency.
