Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present application relates to a sewing device. BACKGROUND

[0002] A conventional sewing device is provided with a thread length adjusting mechanism, a guide, and a cutting member. The cutting member cuts the top thread and the bottom thread between the hole of the needle plate and the cutting member. The thread length adjusting mechanism is provided with an adjusting blade. The adjusting blade is disposed between the hole of the needle plate and the cutting member, and adjusts the length of the top thread and the bottom thread from the hole of the needle plate to the cutting member by catching the top thread and the bottom thread and moving. The guide is disposed between the hole of the needle plate and the adjusting blade, and guides the top thread and the bottom thread when the adjusting blade moves. The guide can change the length of a second thread path that links the hole of the needle plate, the guide, and the adjusting blade, with respect to a first thread path that directly links the hole of the needle plate and the adjusting blade. The length of the first thread path is set to be longer than the second thread path, and thus the sewing device can obtain the same thread allowance as that obtained by the first thread path with a smaller amount of movement of the adjusting blade.

[0006] PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION

[0007] In the conventional sewing device, the lengths of the top thread and the bottom thread are limited by the movable amount of the adjusting blade.

[0008] An object of the present application is to provide a sewing device that improves the degree of freedom of setting the lengths of the top thread and the bottom thread compared to the past.

[0009] SOLUTION TO PROBLEM

[0010] The sewing device of the technical solution 1 of the present application has a needle bar mechanism having a needle bar, a lower end of the needle bar being capable of mounting a needle, the needle bar mechanism swinging the needle bar in the up-down direction; a needle plate, a needle accommodating hole for the needle to pass through being formed in the needle plate; a conveying mechanism, which conveys a sewing object relative to the needle bar mechanism in at least one direction; a cutting mechanism, which is capable of cutting a top thread and a bottom thread; and a control device, which controls the needle bar mechanism, the conveying mechanism, and the cutting mechanism, the cutting mechanism having a fixed cutter, which is fixed to the lower side of the needle plate; a movable cutter, which is provided in a manner capable of rotating relative to the fixed cutter in the horizontal direction; and a cutter moving portion, which has a motor, and rotates the movable cutter in the horizontal direction by the power of the motor, the control device performing the following processes: a sewing process, in which the needle bar mechanism and the conveying mechanism are driven, and a stitch is formed in the sewing object by the top thread and the bottom thread; a thread catching process, in which, corresponding to the stitch, which is last in the sewing order, formed in the sewing object, the motor is driven, the movable cutter is moved from a cutter standby position, in which the movable cutter is located at a position separated from the fixed cutter in the horizontal direction, to a top thread catching position, in which the movable cutter catches the top thread located near the needle accommodating hole, and further to a movable position, which is located on the opposite side of the top thread catching position relative to the cutter standby position; a length adjustment process, in which, in a state in which the movable cutter catches the top thread by the thread catching process, and under the condition that the lower end of the needle is located at a position higher than the needle plate, the sewing object is conveyed by a predetermined distance by the conveying mechanism; and a cutting process, which is performed after the length adjustment process, in which the motor is driven, the movable cutter is moved to a cutting position, in which the movable cutter crosses the fixed cutter, and the top thread and the bottom thread are cut. In the length adjustment process, the sewing device is capable of adjusting the length of the top thread and the bottom thread from the stitch, which is last in the sewing order, by conveying the sewing object by a predetermined distance. The length adjustment process of the sewing device contributes to improving the degree of freedom of the length of the top thread and the bottom thread by the predetermined distance.

[0011] In the sewing device of the technical solution 2 of the present application, the control device controls the motor so that the moving speed of the movable cutter from the movable position to the cutting position until the top thread and the bottom thread are cut is lower than the moving speed of the movable cutter in the thread catching process. The sewing device easily ensures the time for performing the length adjustment process by making the moving speed of the movable cutter from the movable position to the cutting position until the top thread and the bottom thread are cut lower than the moving speed of the movable cutter in the thread catching process.

[0012] In the sewing device of the technical solution 3 of the present application, the cutting position is located between the movable position and the cutter standby position. Compared with the case where the cutting position is not located between the rotating position and the cutter standby position, the sewing device can be compact.

[0013] In the sewing device of the technical solution 4 of the present application, the control device controls the motor to stop the movable cutter at a stop position between the movable position and the cutting position for a predetermined period, during the period from the thread capturing process to the cutting of the face thread and the bottom thread in the cutting process. Compared with the case where the movable cutter is not stopped at the stop position, the sewing device can easily ensure the time required for conveying the sewing object by a predetermined distance in the length adjustment process.

[0014] In the sewing device of the technical solution 5 of the present application, the stop position is a position in which the distance in the horizontal direction from the tip of the blade portion of the fixed cutter to the tip of the blade portion of the movable cutter is within 5 mm, and is a position in which the face thread and the bottom thread are cut in advance. Compared with the case where the distance in the horizontal direction from the tip of the blade portion of the fixed cutter to the tip of the blade portion of the movable cutter is more than 5 mm, the sewing device can appropriately cut the face thread and the bottom thread in the cutting process.

[0015] The sewing device of the technical solution 6 of the present application includes an input portion, and the control device further performs a distance setting process of setting the predetermined distance input from the input portion, and conveys the sewing object by the predetermined distance set in the distance setting process in the length adjustment process. Compared with the case where the input of the predetermined distance is not accepted, the sewing device can improve the setting freedom of the lengths of the face thread and the bottom thread.

[0016] In the sewing device of the technical solution 7 of the present application, the rotating center of the movable cutter is located on the side opposite to the motor side with respect to the needle accommodating hole in the direction from the motor toward the needle accommodating hole in the plane parallel to the needle plate. Compared with the case where the rotating center of the movable cutter is located on the motor side with respect to the needle accommodating hole in the direction from the motor toward the needle accommodating hole in the plane parallel to the needle plate, the sewing device can improve the design freedom of the motor side with respect to the needle accommodating hole.

[0017] The sewing device of the technical solution 8 of the present application includes a face thread holding mechanism that is driven by the power of the motor to releasably hold the face thread end portion of the face thread that passes through the needle from the lower side of the needle plate. The sewing device can perform the actions of the cutting mechanism and the face thread holding mechanism by one motor. The sewing device holds the bottom thread end portion by the cutting mechanism and holds the face thread end portion by the face thread holding mechanism, and thus can suppress the occurrence of defects due to the winding of the face thread end portion or the bottom thread end portion in the stitch.

[0018] In the sewing device of the technical solution 9 of the present application, the thread retaining mechanism has: a first retaining member provided on the lower surface of the needle plate; a second retaining member rotatably supported by a support portion on the needle plate, which retains the thread end portion in cooperation with the first retaining member; and a retaining moving portion which moves the second retaining member in the horizontal direction by the power of the motor, and moves the second retaining member to a standby position in which the needle hole is disposed between the first retaining member and the second retaining member in the horizontal direction, and to a retaining position in which the second retaining member is separated from the needle hole in the horizontal direction, and the second retaining member overlaps the first retaining member in the vertical direction. In the sewing device, the power of the thread retaining mechanism can be shared with the cutting mechanism, so that the structure can be simplified compared with a sewing device in which the power of the thread retaining mechanism and the power of the cutting mechanism are provided separately.

[0019] In the sewing device of the technical solution 10 of the present application, the support portion is provided on the motor side with respect to the needle hole in the direction from the motor toward the needle hole on the plane parallel to the needle plate. In the sewing device, the rotation center of the movable cutter of the cutting mechanism is provided on the side opposite to the motor side with respect to the needle hole in the direction from the motor toward the needle hole on the plane parallel to the needle plate, in which case, the possibility of interference between the thread retaining mechanism and the cutting mechanism can be reduced, and the degree of freedom of design of the side opposite to the motor side with respect to the needle hole can be improved.

[0020] The sewing device of the technical solution 11 of the present application further has a force applying member fixed to the lower side of the needle plate, the movable cutter has: a thread clamping portion which can clamp the thread end portion of the bottom thread after being cut by the movable cutter between the force applying member; and a thread releasing portion which cannot clamp the thread end portion between the force applying member, the movable cutter is located at the cutter standby position when the second retaining member is located at the standby position, and the movable cutter and the force applying member clamp the thread end portion when the second retaining member is located at the retaining position. The sewing device can synchronize the actions of the thread retaining mechanism and the cutting mechanism. The sewing device can clamp the thread end portion by the cutting mechanism when the thread retaining mechanism is located at the standby position and at the retaining position. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0037] Embodiments of the present application will be described. In the following description, left and right, front and back, and up and down indicated by arrows in the drawings are used. The left and right direction, the front and back direction, and the up and down direction of the sewing device 1 are the X-axis direction, the Y-axis direction, and the Z-axis direction, respectively.

[0038] REFERENCE Figure 1 The configuration of the sewing device 1 will be described. The sewing device 1 is capable of sewing in a 360-degree direction by feeding a sewing object 19 relative to the needle 15 in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction. The sewing object 19 is, for example, cloth, leather, or the like. The sewing device 1 is provided with a base section 2, a support section 3, an arm section 4, a feed device 5, a control section 10 (refer to Figure 8) and an operation panel 18. The base portion 2 is provided on a sewing machine 6. The base portion 2 has an operation table 7 on the front side of the upper surface. The operation table 7 has a needle plate 11 in the substantially center. A needle accommodating hole 12 is formed in the substantially center of the needle plate 11. The sewing device 1 has a not-shown lower shaft and a swing vertical shuttle inside the base portion 2. The swing vertical shuttle is disposed below the needle plate 11, and the lower shaft extends in the front-rear direction. The lower shaft front end portion is connected to the swing vertical shuttle. The swing vertical shuttle accommodates a bobbin on which a bobbin thread 29 (refer to Figure 13 ) is wound and swings back and forth around the lower shaft as a center.

[0039] The pillar portion 3 extends upward from the rear portion of the base portion 2. The arm portion 4 extends forward from the upper portion of the pillar portion 3 and internally rotatably supports a main shaft. The main shaft extends in the front-rear direction and is connected to a main motor 17 (refer to Figure 8 ) provided on the inner rear side of the arm portion 4. A link extends in the up-down direction inside the pillar portion 3. The main shaft is connected to the lower shaft via the link. Therefore, when the main motor 17 is driven, the main shaft rotates, and the swing vertical shuttle is driven in conjunction with the rotation of the main shaft. The sewing machine 6 has the operation panel 18 on the right side of the upper surface. The operation panel 18 is, for example, a touch panel and has a display portion 13 and an input portion 16. The display portion 13 displays various information, and the input portion 16 receives input of various information such as an instruction to start sewing.

[0040] The arm portion 4 internally has a needle bar mechanism 30 (refer to Figure 8 ). The needle bar mechanism 30 has a needle bar 14, the lower end of which can mount a needle 15, and the needle bar mechanism 30 swings the needle bar 14 in the up-down direction in response to the rotation of the main shaft. The arm portion 4 has a tip end portion 8 on the front end portion. The lower end portion of the tip end portion 8 opposes the upper surface of the needle plate 11. The tip end portion 8 supports the needle bar 14 and a presser bar 20 so as to be movable up and down. The needle bar 14 extends in the up-down direction and protrudes downward from the tip end portion 8. The needle 15 is mounted on the lower end of the needle bar 14. The needle 15 has a needle eye through which a face thread 28 (refer to Figure 12 ) is passed to hold the face thread 28. The needle bar 14 is connected to the main shaft. When the needle bar 14 moves up and down by the rotation of the main shaft, the needle 15 moves up and down and passes through the needle accommodating hole 12. The needle 15 moving up and down cooperates with the swing vertical shuttle to form a stitch in a work 19. The presser bar 20 extends in the up-down direction to the left of the needle bar 14 and protrudes downward from the tip end portion 8. The presser bar 20 has a presser foot 9 mounted on the lower end. The presser foot 9 intermittently presses the work 19 downward.

[0041] The feed device 5 feeds the work 19 at least in one direction with respect to the needle bar mechanism 30. The feed device 5 has an X motor 21 (refer to Figure 8), cloth holding body 22, support portion 23, rod portion 24, and Y motor 25 (refer to Figure 8 ) and the like. The cloth feeding device 5 is provided with an X rail, an X moving plate, a Y rail, and a Y moving plate, which are not shown. The X motor 21 is provided at the inner rear side of the base portion 2. The X rail extends in the X axis direction inside the base portion 2 and in front of the X motor 21. The X moving plate is connected to the X rail and to the X motor 21 in a manner capable of moving left and right. The X moving plate moves left and right along the X rail under the driving force of the X motor 21. The Y rail is fixed to the upper surface of the X moving plate and extends in the Y axis direction. The Y rail moves left and right integrally with the X moving plate. The Y moving plate is connected to the Y rail in a manner capable of moving forward and backward with respect to the Y rail. The cloth holding body 22 is fixed to the upper surface of the Y moving plate. The cloth holding body 22 moves left and right integrally with the X moving plate and the Y moving plate and moves forward and backward integrally with the Y moving plate. Thus, the cloth holding body 22 is capable of moving in the horizontal direction. The support portion 23 is connected to the rear portion of the pressing arm 32 of the cloth holding body 22. The support portion 23 is capable of moving left and right together with the cloth holding body 22. The rod portion 24 extends from the support portion 23 to the inside of the pillar portion 3 in the rearward direction and is capable of moving forward and backward. The front end portion of the rod portion 24 is connected to the support portion 23 by means of a slide. The Y motor 25 is provided inside the pillar portion 3 and is connected to the rod portion 24. When the rod portion 24 moves forward and backward under the driving force of the Y motor 25, the support portion 23, the cloth holding body 22, and the Y moving plate move forward and backward integrally.

[0042] The cloth holding body 22 is provided with a cloth feeding plate 31, a pressing arm 32, a pair of connecting portions 33, a pressing frame 34, and a pair of air cylinders 35 (in Figure 1(Only one is shown in the image). The feed plate 31 extends forward from the upper surface of the Y-moving plate and has a clamping frame 36 at its front end. The clamping frame 36 is rectangular in shape when viewed from above and can support the sewn material 19. The pressing arm 32 extends upward from the rear end of the feed plate 31 and extends further forward in a curved manner. The pressing arm 32 clamps and fixes the rear end of the feed plate 31 between itself and the upper surface of the Y-moving plate. The top end 37 of the pressing arm 32 is generally rectangular in shape when viewed from the front. A pair of connecting parts 33 are arranged in the left-right direction at the top end 37 and can move up and down. The pair of connecting parts 33 support the pressing frame 34. The pressing frame 34 is generally rectangular in shape when viewed from above and is opposite to the clamping frame 36 in the up-down direction. A pair of cylinders 35 are provided on the left and right sides of the pressing arm 32. The pair of cylinders 35 are respectively connected to the pair of connecting parts 33. When a pair of cylinders 35 drive a pair of connecting parts 33 to move up and down, the pressing frame 34 moves up and down between a clamping position and a separating position. The clamping position is the position where the sewn material 19 supported by the clamping frame 36 is pressed down from above. The separating position is the position where it separates from the sewn material 19 upwards. The sewing device 1 can sew in a 360-degree direction by moving the fabric holder 22 holding the sewn material 19 relative to the needle 15 along the X-axis and Y-axis directions.

[0043] like Figure 2 As shown, the sewing device 1 includes a cutting mechanism 60 and a top thread holding mechanism 80 below the needle plate 11. The cutting mechanism 60 is driven by the power of the motor 59 and cuts the top thread 28 and bottom thread 29 at the end of the sewing operation. The top thread holding mechanism 80 is also driven by the power of the motor 59 and is located below the needle plate 11, allowing the release of the top thread end U (see reference 1) of the top thread 28 passing through the needle 15. Figure 12 The end U is held in a manner that allows the thread holding mechanism 80 to bend and hold the thread 28 below the sewn material 19 as the first needle passes through at the start of sewing. Therefore, the thread holding mechanism 80 prevents the thread from slipping off the needle 15. A motor 59 is fixed to the back side of the sewing unit 1 on the base 2. The motor 59 is a pulse motor and serves as the drive source for the cutting mechanism 60 and the thread holding mechanism 80.

[0044] like Figure 2-5 As shown, the cutting mechanism 60 includes a fixed cutter 61, a movable cutter 62, a force-applying member 65, a support shaft 69, and a moving part 67. Figure 3 As shown, a fixed cutter 61 is fixed to the lower side of a needle plate 11, which has a needle-receiving hole 12 through which the needle 15 of the sewing device 1 passes. The fixed cutter 61 is approximately L-shaped when viewed from above and is fixed to the lower surface of the needle plate 11 by two screws 611. The fixed cutter 61 has a cutting edge 612. The cutting edge 612 is located at the right rear of the fixed cutter 61 and extends from the left side of the needle-receiving hole 12 toward the front of the needle-receiving hole 12.

[0045] The movable cutter 62 is configured to rotate horizontally relative to the fixed cutter 61. The movable cutter 62 includes a thread separating section 621, a cutting edge 622, a thread engaging section 623, a thread guide section 624, a thread capturing section 625, a thread clamping section 66, and a thread release section 68. The thread separating section 621 has a pointed tip that tapers rearward and is the portion that enters the thread loop formed by the top thread 28. The cutting edge 622 is the end of a through hole that is round when viewed from below, extending vertically through the movable cutter 62. The thread engaging section 623 is the portion that hooks onto the side of the thread loop extending from the needle 15. The thread guide section 624 is the portion that bends between the thread separating section 621 and the thread capturing section 625 on the side opposite to the pin 763 of the support shaft 69 and the connecting rod 76. The thread guide section 624 guides the side of the thread loop extending from the sewn fabric 19 toward the thread capturing section 625. The line-catching part 625 is used to catch the surface line loop.

[0046] The wire clamping part 66 is located on the lower surface of the movable cutter 62 and is capable of clamping the end D of the wire 29 cut by the movable cutter 62 between itself and the force-applying member 65. Figure 13 The part (A) is the wire release part 68. The wire release part 68 is the portion of the lower surface of the movable cutter 62 that cannot hold the wire end D between itself and the force-applying member 65. The wire release part 68 is the portion of the lower surface of the movable cutter 62 that is held by the wire separating part 621 and the wire capturing part 625, and is a recessed portion facing upwards, located adjacent to the wire holding part 66. That is, the wire holding part 66 is located below the wire release part 68.

[0047] The movable cutter 62 has through portions 626 and 627. The through portion 626 is located at the end of the movable cutter 62 along its length, opposite to the side where the dividing portion 621 is located. Figure 3 A through-hole (located at the rear end of the movable cutter 62) runs vertically through the hole. The through-hole 626 allows the pin 763 of the connecting rod 76 (described later) to pass through. The through-hole 627 is a vertically extending hole located at the center of the movable cutter 62 along its length. A support shaft 69 passes through the through-hole 627 and is fixed to the lower surface of the needle plate 11, supporting the movable cutter 62 in a manner that allows it to reciprocate in a horizontal direction parallel to the needle plate 11. The support shaft 69, serving as the rotation center of the movable cutter 62, is located in the direction from the motor 59 toward the needle-receiving hole 12 on a plane parallel to the needle plate 11. In this embodiment, it is located in the front-rear direction on the side opposite to the motor 59 side relative to the needle-receiving hole 12. The support shaft 69 is located to the right of the screw 611.

[0048] like Figure 4As shown, the urging member 65 is fixed to the lower side of the needle plate 11 at a position further forward than the needle hole 12 with two screws 651. The urging member 65 is a curved plate spring. The urging member 65 has a fixed portion 652, a pressing portion 653, and guide portions 654, 655. The fixed portion 652 is a plate shape parallel to the needle plate 11 extending from the front of the needle hole 12 to the right rear, and is fixed to the needle plate 11 with the two screws 651. The pressing portion 653 is a portion bent downward from the left rear end portion of the fixed portion 652 and then bent rearward, which is a letter U shape in plan view. The pressing portion 653 is gently inclined toward the rear lower side. As shown in (A) of Fig. 6, the guide portion 654 is a portion inclined downward more as it goes further rearward at the rear of the pressing portion 653. The guide portion 655 is a portion curved upward from the left end of the guide portion 654. The guide portions 654, 655 guide the movable cutter 62 to be disposed between the urging member 65 and the needle plate 11. [0051] As shown in (A) of Fig. The urging member 65 can urge the wire clamping portion 66 of the movable cutter 62 upward. Figure 2 Figure 6 As shown, the link mechanism 72 is provided with links 73 to 76 and a roller member 77. The links 73 to 76 are arranged in order from the motor 59 side toward the cutting mechanism 60 side. The link 73 is in a substantially L-shaped plate shape in plan view, and is disposed below the cam plate 70. The link 73 has the roller member 77 rotatably fixed to the upper side of one end portion 731 thereof. The roller member 77 has a rotation shaft extending in the vertical direction. The roller member 77 is engaged with the groove cam 71 of the cam plate 70. The link 73 has an axial hole 734 provided in a central portion 733 bent at a substantially right angle between the one end portion 731 and the other end portion 732. Since a fulcrum 735 is inserted into the axial hole 734, the link 73 is rotatable about the fulcrum 735. The roller member 77 is engaged with the groove cam 71 of the cam plate 70. The other end portion 732 of the link 73 is connected to one end portion 741 of the link 74 in a rotatable manner by means of a pin 736.

[0052] The link 74 is a rod shape extending in the front-rear direction. The other end portion 742 of the link 74 is fixed to one end portion 751 of the link 75 by means of a screw 743. The link 75 is a C-shaped plate member open to the right in plan view. The other end portion 752 of the link 75 is disposed above the one end portion 751, and is fixed to one end portion 761 of the link 76 by means of a screw 744. A central portion 753 extending in the vertical direction in the link 75 is penetrated by a fulcrum 754 extending in the vertical direction. The link 75 is rotatable about the fulcrum 754. The link 76 extends in the front-rear direction. As shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4 As shown, the other end portion 762 of the link 76 bulges to the right in a substantially circular arc shape. The other end portion 762 of the link 76 has pins 763, 764 projecting upward. The pin 763 is provided at the front end portion of the link 76, and penetrates a penetration portion 626 of the movable knife 62. The movable knife 62 is connected to the link 76 by means of the pin 763 of the link 76. The pin 764 is provided at a position further to the rear than the pin 763, and penetrates a penetration portion 861 of a second holding member 82 of a face thread holding mechanism 80 described later. The second holding member 82 is connected to the link 76 by means of the pin 764 of the link 76. The link 76 is disposed below the second holding member 82 and the movable knife 62.

[0053] The moving section 67 is capable of rotating the movable knife 62 about the fulcrum 69 in the horizontal direction parallel to the needle plate 11 by moving the link 76 in the front-rear direction by means of the power of the motor 59. The moving section 67 is capable of moving the movable knife 62 to Figure 5 the knife standby position PI, the release position P2, the thread catching position P3, the cutting position P4, the stop position P5, and the movable position P6 in response to the driving of the motor 59. In Figure 5In the drawing, the illustration of members other than the fixed blade 61, the movable blade 62, and the link 76 is omitted, and the position of the movable blade 62 is shown at the position of the blade edge portion 622.

[0054] The blade standby position P1 is a position in which the movable blade 62 is located at a position separated from the fixed blade 61, and the thread clamping portion 66 of the movable blade 62 is disposed opposite the urging member 65 between the needle plate 11 and the urging member 65 and can clamp the thread end portion D together with the urging member 65. The release position P2 is a position in which the thread release portion 68 of the movable blade 62 is disposed opposite the urging member 65 between the needle plate 11 and the urging member 65. The thread capture position P3 is a position in which the movable blade 62 captures the surface thread 28 located in the vicinity of the needle accommodating hole 12. In plan view, the thread capture position P3 is located between the needle accommodating hole 12 and the release position P2. The cutting position P4 is a position in which the movable blade 62 intersects the fixed blade 61 to cut the surface thread 28 and the thread 29. The stop position P5 is a position in which the movable blade 62 cuts the surface thread 28 and the thread 29 in advance. As Figure 10 As shown in (E), the stop position P5 of the present embodiment is a position in which the distance E in the horizontal direction from the tip of the blade edge portion 612 of the fixed blade 61 to the tip of the blade edge portion 622 of the movable blade 62 is within 5 mm, that is, a position just before cutting. The blade edge portion 622 of the present embodiment is circular in plan view, and the movable blade 62 cuts the surface thread 28 and the thread 29 during movement in the forward direction after moving to the movable position P6. Therefore, the tip of the blade edge portion 622 of the present embodiment is the front end portion of the blade edge portion 622. The stop position P5 is a position located to the rear right of the cutting position P4 on the movement track J1 of the movable blade 62 in the case of moving from the movable position P6 toward the cutting position P4, and is a position that is in advance of the movable position P6. The movable position P6 is a position on the opposite side to the cutting position P4 from the blade standby position P1. That is, the movable position P6 is located in the counterclockwise direction in plan view with the fulcrum 69 as the center, and the blade standby position P1 is located in the clockwise direction in plan view with the fulcrum 69 as the center. On the movement track J1 of the movable blade 62, the cutting position P4 is located between the blade standby position P1 and the movable position P6, and the release position P2 is located between the blade standby position P1 and the cutting position P4. The main process in which the sewing device 1 moves the movable blade 62 to each position will be described later.

[0055] As Figure 2-4 and Figure 7As shown, the thread holding mechanism 80 includes a first holding member 81, a second holding member 82, and a moving part 67. The thread holding mechanism 80 of this embodiment also includes a fixing blade 97. The moving part 67 is common to the cutting mechanism 60 described above. The first holding member 81 is located below the needle plate 11, which has a needle-receiving hole 12 through which the needle 15 of the sewing device 1 passes. The first holding member 81 is a plate-shaped member that extends horizontally parallel to the needle plate 11 and is longer in the left-right direction. The first holding member 81 extends horizontally below the thread guide portion 624 of the movable blade 62. The first holding member 81 is positioned to the left of the needle-receiving hole 12 and is fixed to the lower side of the needle plate 11 by a pair of front and rear screws 811. The right end of the first holding member 81 slopes rearward towards the right. Figure 13 As shown in (A), the first holding portion 86 of the second holding member 82 and the movable tool 62 are disposed on the same horizontal plane. Here, the same horizontal plane means that, across any imaginary horizontal plane passing through both the first holding portion 86 and the movable tool 62, the vertical extension range of the first holding portion 86 at least partially overlaps with the vertical extension range of the movable tool 62.

[0056] like Figure 2-4 as well as Figure 7 As shown, the second retaining member 82 cooperates with the first retaining member 81 to retain the end U of the surface line 28. The second retaining member 82 includes a first retaining portion 86, a second retaining portion 87, and a support portion 84. The first retaining portion 86 is located below the needle plate 11 and above the first retaining member 81. The first retaining portion 86 is a plate-shaped part that is longer in the front-rear direction, and a support portion 87 is formed in the first retaining portion 86 at the location of the second retaining member 82. Figure 7The first holding part 86 has a through-hole 88 that allows the needle 15 to pass through when in the standby position Q1. Through-holes 861 and 863 and a pair of screw holes 862 are formed in the first holding part 86. Through-hole 861 is a hole located at the end of the first holding part 86 that extends vertically. A pin 764 for the connecting rod 76 passes through through-hole 861. Through-hole 863 is a hole located in front of through-hole 861 that extends vertically. The second holding member 82 is supported by a support portion 84 that passes through the through-hole 863 of the first holding part 86, allowing it to rotate in a horizontal direction parallel to the needle plate 11. The support portion 84 is a pin member arranged perpendicular to the needle plate 11. The second holding member 82 is supported by the support portion 84 that passes through the first holding part 86, allowing it to rotate in a horizontal direction parallel to the needle plate 11. The support portion 84 is located behind the needle receiving hole 12. That is, the support portion 84 is provided on the motor 59 side relative to the needle hole 12 in the direction from the motor 59 toward the needle hole 12 and in the opposite direction on the plane parallel to the needle plate 11, which in this embodiment is in the front-rear direction. The distance between the center of the support shaft 69 and the center of the pin 764 is shorter than the distance between the center of the support portion 84 and the center of the pin 764. Therefore, the rotation amount of the movable tool 62 relative to the movement amount of the connecting rod 76 is greater than the rotation amount of the second retaining member 82 relative to the movement amount of the connecting rod 76.

[0057] The second retaining portion 87 is a plate-shaped part that is longer in the front-rear direction and is located below the first retaining member 81. The length of the second retaining portion 87 in the front-rear direction is shorter than that of the first retaining portion 86 in the front-rear direction. The second retaining portion 87 has a through portion 89 that allows the needle 15 to pass through when the second retaining member 82 is in the standby position Q1. The second retaining portion 87 has two holes 872 that extend in the vertical direction. When the second retaining portion 87 overlaps with the first retaining portion 86, it is fixed to the lower surface of the first retaining portion 86 by screws 871 that pass through the holes 872. At this time, the second retaining portion 87 is located in front of the support portion 84. In this embodiment, the through portions 88 and 89 are notches that open to the left, and the top view outlines of the through portions 88 and 89 overlap each other. The through portions 88 and 89 are formed in the second retaining member 82 on the side opposite to the through portion 861 relative to the support portion 84. The second retaining part 87 cannot move relative to the first retaining part 86; the second retaining part 87 moves horizontally together with the first retaining part 86. Figure 12 As shown in (A), the thickness of the first holding portion 86 and the second holding portion 87 is greater than the thickness of the first holding member 81. The thickness of the first holding portion 86 is greater than the thickness of the second holding portion 87.

[0058] like Figure 3As shown, a fixed blade 97 is fixed to the lower side of a needle plate 11, which has a needle-receiving hole 12 for a needle 15 to pass through. The fixed blade 97 has a cutting edge 96. The cutting edge 96 is located on the right side of the fixed blade 97 and positioned to the left of the needle-receiving hole 12. Figure 12 As shown in (A), the right end of the blade portion 96 is inclined downward to the right. The fixing blade 97 has a pair of holes 971 extending in the vertical direction. The fixing blade 97 is located above the first retaining member 81. The fixing blade 97 is fixed to the lower side of the needle plate 11 together with the first retaining member 81 by screws 811 passing through the pair of holes 971.

[0059] The moving part 67 is connected to the second retaining member 82 by having the pin 764 of the connecting rod 76 pass through the through portion 861 of the second retaining member 82. The moving part 67 uses the power of the motor 59 to move the connecting rod 76 back and forth, thereby causing the second retaining member 82 to rotate about the support portion 84 in a horizontal direction parallel to the needle plate 11. That is, the moving part 67 can move the movable cutter 62 and the second retaining member 82 respectively. Specifically, the moving part 67 moves the second retaining member 82 towards... Figure 7 The shown positions are standby position Q1, holding position Q2, surface line cut position Q3, cut position Q4, and movable end position Q5. Figure 7 In the illustration, the components other than the first retaining part 86, the second retaining part 87, the support part 84, the fixing blade 97 and the connecting rod 76 are omitted. The position of the second retaining member 82 is shown by the position of an imaginary circle tangent to the arc-shaped right end portion of the through part 89.

[0060] The standby position Q1 is the position where the needle hole 12 is arranged horizontally between the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82. The holding position Q2 is the position where the second holding member 82 is separated from the needle hole 12 in the horizontal direction and overlaps with the first holding member 81 in the vertical direction. The top thread cutting position Q3 is the position where the end U of the top thread held by the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82 is cut off by the fixed blade 97. On the moving track J2 of the second holding member 82, the holding position Q2 is located between the standby position Q1 and the top thread cutting position Q3. The cutting position Q4 and the movable end position Q5 are the positions corresponding to the cutting position P4 and the movable position P6 of the movable blade 62, respectively. The main process of moving the second holding member 82 to each position will be described later.

[0061] Reference Figure 8The electrical configuration of the sewing device 1 will be described. The control section 10 of the sewing device 1 is provided with a CPU 41, a ROM 42, a RAM 43, a storage device 45, an I / O interface (hereinafter referred to as I / O) 46, and drive circuits 51 to 56, and the like. The CPU 41 controls the operation of the sewing device 1. The CPU 41 is connected to the ROM 42, the RAM 43, the storage device 45, and the I / O 46. The ROM 42 stores programs and the like for executing various processes, such as the main process (refer to Figure 9 ) to be described later. The RAM 43 temporarily stores various information. The storage device 45 is a nonvolatile device that stores sewing information and the like. The sewing information is information including the needle drop point.

[0062] The I / O 46 is connected to the drive circuits 51 to 56 and the input section 16. The drive circuit 51 is connected to the main motor 17. The drive circuit 52 is connected to the X motor 21. The drive circuit 53 is connected to the Y motor 25. The drive circuit 56 is connected to the motor 59. The X motor 21, the Y motor 25, and the motor 59 are pulse motors. The drive circuit 54 is connected to the pair of cylinders 35. The drive circuit 55 is connected to the display section 13. The CPU 41 controls the drive of the main motor 17, the X motor 21, the Y motor 25, and the pair of cylinders 35 by controlling the drive circuits 51 to 54. The CPU 41 controls the display section 13 by controlling the drive circuit 55. The input section 16 detects information input by the operator and outputs the detection result to the CPU 41 via the I / O 46.

[0063] The encoders 91 to 93 are connected to the main motor 17, the X motor 21, and the Y motor 25, respectively. The encoder 91 detects the rotational position of the output shaft of the main motor 17. The encoder 92 detects the rotational position of the output shaft of the X motor 21. The encoder 93 detects the rotational position of the output shaft of the Y motor 25. The encoders 91 to 93 output the detection result to the CPU 41 via the I / O 46.

[0064] Refer to Figure 9-14 The main process performed by the sewing device 1 will be described. In the main process, a process of forming a stitch in the sewing object 19 is performed in accordance with a sewing pattern. In a case where the power of the sewing device 1 is turned on, the CPU 41 starts the main process. When the power of the sewing device 1 is turned on, the CPU 41 reads out a program for performing the main process of the program storage area stored in the ROM 42 to the RAM 43. The CPU 41 performs the following steps in accordance with the instructions contained in the program read out to the RAM 43. The steps will be abbreviated as S hereinafter. Various parameters required for performing the main process are stored in the storage device 45. Various data obtained in the course of the main process are appropriately stored in the RAM 43. In the main process, the CPU 41 performs the following steps. Figure 14 In the main process, the change in the angle of the output shaft of the motor 59 is illustrated with the clockwise rotation viewed from above as a positive angle change and the counterclockwise rotation viewed from above as a negative angle change.

[0065] like Figure 9 As shown, CPU 41 determines whether an origin detection indication has been detected (S1). The operator operates the input unit 16 to input the origin detection indication. If no origin detection indication is detected (S1: No), CPU 41 returns the process to S1. If an origin detection indication is detected (S1: Yes), CPU 41 performs origin detection, obtains the initial value of the predetermined distance (S2), and then raises the presser foot 9 (S3). The predetermined distance is used to define the cutting length of the top thread 28 and bottom thread 29 extending from the final stitch. The initial value of the predetermined distance can be set in any way, can be set automatically according to the sewing pattern, can be a fixed value independent of the sewing pattern, or can be a value set in the previous main process S22 (described later).

[0066] The operator places the sewn fabric 19 between the fabric holders 22 and operates the input unit 16 to input a down command for the presser foot 9. The CPU 41 determines whether a down command for the presser foot 9 has been detected (S4). If no down command is detected (S4: No), the CPU 41 returns the process to S4. If a down command is detected (S4: Yes), the CPU 41 lowers the presser foot 9 (S5). Figure 10 (B) Figure 11 As shown in (A), the movable blade 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 is in the blade standby position P1, and the second retaining member 82 of the face wire retaining mechanism 80 is in the standby position Q1. That is, when the second retaining member 82 is in the standby position Q1, the movable blade 62 is in the blade standby position P1. In a bottom view, the first retaining member 81 and the second retaining member 82 partially overlap in the vertical direction. In a bottom view, the needle-receiving hole 12 is surrounded by the first retaining member 81 and the second retaining member 82. The cutting edge 622 of the movable blade 62 is located near the boundary between the guide portion 654 and the pressing portion 653. Figure 12 As shown in (A), the second retaining member 82 of the face thread retaining mechanism 80 is separate from the face thread end U. The face thread end U, located below the needle hole 12, is surrounded by the first retaining member 81 and the second retaining member 82. Figure 13 As shown in (A), the wire clamping portion 66 of the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60, together with the force-applying member 65, clamps the bottom wire end D in the vertical direction. The upper end of the pressing portion 653 of the force-applying member 65 abuts against the wire clamping portion 66 of the movable cutter 62.

[0067] The CPU 41 determines whether or not the sewing instruction has been detected (S6). The operator operates the input section 16 to input the sewing instruction. When the sewing instruction has not been detected (S6: No), the CPU 41 determines whether or not the input instruction to input the predetermined distance has been detected based on the detection result of the input section 16 (S21). The predetermined distance when the input instruction has not been detected is the initial value acquired in S2. When the input instruction has been detected (S21: Yes), the CPU 41 sets the predetermined distance in accordance with the input instruction (S22). When the input instruction has not been detected (S21: No), or after S22, the CPU 41 returns the process to S6.

[0068] When the sewing instruction has been detected (S6: Yes), the CPU 41 drives the main motor 17 to start the sewing of the sewing pattern (S7). The CPU 41 determines whether or not it is the thread holding timing based on the detection result of the encoder 91 (S8). The thread holding timing of the sewing device 1 of the present embodiment is set to be after the sewing of the first needle and before the sewing of the second needle. When it is not the thread holding timing (S8: No), the CPU 41 returns the process to S8. When it is the thread holding timing (S8: Yes), the CPU 41 moves the second holding member 82 from the standby position Q1 to the holding position Q2 (S9). Specifically, the CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to rotate the output shaft 98 of the motor 59 in the upward clockwise direction. The roller member 77 moves from the left end portion of the groove cam 71 to the position after the relative rotation in the upward counterclockwise direction. The link 73 rotates about the fulcrum 735 in the upward counterclockwise direction to move the links 74 to 76. As shown in (B) of FIG. 9, the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 moves to the rear of the cutter standby position P1, and the second holding member 82 of the thread holding mechanism 80 moves from the standby position Q1 to the holding position Q2. The second holding member 82 is separated from the needle accommodating hole 12 in the horizontal direction, and the second holding member 82 overlaps the first holding member 81 in the vertical direction. As shown in (B) of FIG. 9, the thread holding mechanism 80 holds the thread end portion U in a state of being bent between the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82 in an S-letter shape in a side view. As shown in (B) of FIG. 9, the thread clamping portion 66 of the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 maintains the state of clamping the bobbin thread end portion D in the vertical direction together with the urging member 65. Figure 11 Figure 12 Figure 13

[0069] The CPU 41 determines whether or not it is the thread cutting timing based on the detection result of the encoder 91 (S10). The thread cutting timing of the sewing device 1 of the present embodiment can be set to be the timing after the thread holding control process and before the second needle drop, or the predetermined timing after the thread holding control process and the second needle drop. When it is not the thread cutting timing (S10: No), the CPU 41 returns the process to S10.

[0070] When it is the timing of the face thread holding (S10: Yes), the CPU 41 controls the motor 59 to move the second holding member 82 from the holding position Q2 to the face thread cutting position Q3 after S9 (S12). The CPU 41 controls the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the position of (B) of Figure 11 the release position P2 of (A) of Figure 10 , and releases the bottom thread end portion D clamped in the process of S17 of the main process of the previous time (S12). Specifically, the CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to rotate the output shaft 98 of the motor 59 in the upward clockwise direction. The link 73 rotates about the fulcrum 735 in the upward counterclockwise direction, and moves the links 74 to 76. As shown in (C) of Figure 11 , the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 moves to the release position P2, and the second holding member 82 of the face thread holding mechanism 80 moves from the holding position Q2 to the face thread cutting position Q3. The second holding member 82 is maintained in a state of being separated from the needle accommodating hole 12 in the horizontal direction, and the second holding member 82 and the first holding member 81 overlap in the vertical direction. The second holding member 82 overlaps the blade portion 96 of the fixed cutter 97 in the vertical direction. When the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 is in a position in a range from the cutter standby position P1 to the release position P2, the division portion 621 of the movable cutter 62 is positioned further forward than the needle accommodating hole 12.

[0071] As shown in (C) of Figure 12 , the face thread holding mechanism 80 maintains a state in which the face thread end portion U is bent between the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82 to be in an S-letter shape in a side view, and the first holding portion 86 of the second holding member 82 overlaps the fixed cutter 97 in the vertical direction. Thus, the face thread end portion U is cut by the fixed cutter 97. When the second holding member 82 moves from the holding position Q2 to the face thread cutting position Q3, the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82 continue to hold the face thread end portion U. Therefore, the face thread end portion U is cut by the fixed cutter 97 in a state of being held by the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82. The cutting position of the fixed cutter 97 of the face thread 28 is a position on the upstream side of the face thread 28 from the position at which the face thread 28 is held by the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82, that is, a portion on the upper side. As shown in (C) of Figure 13 , the thread release portion 68 of the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 is separated from and opposes the pressing portion 653 of the urging member 65 in the vertical direction. The thread clamping portion 66 moves to a state of retreating from the pressing portion 653 of the urging member 65, and releases the state of clamping the bottom thread end portion D together with the urging member 65 in the vertical direction. Thus, the face thread end portion U held by the face thread holding mechanism 80 is released after being cut near the needle accommodating hole 12 at the start of sewing, and the clamped bottom thread end portion D is released by the cutting mechanism 60.

[0072] The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 to the cutter standby position Pl and the second holding member 82 of the thread holding mechanism 80 to the standby position Ql (S13). The CPU 41 determines whether the next thread drop action of the needle 15 is the last needle of the sewing action and whether it is the timing T3 at which the thread catching process is performed (S14). The CPU 41 counts the number of thread drops of the sewing pattern in the current sewing process and stores it in the RAM 43. Therefore, the CPU 41 can determine whether the next thread drop action is the last needle by referring to the sewing information of the sewing pattern stored in the ROM 42. As shown in FIG. 7, the timing T3 at which the thread catching process is performed is set within the period Tl in the last needle sewing process. The CPU 41 can determine whether it is the timing T3 by the detection result of the encoder 91 at the time of sewing the last needle. Figure 14

[0073] When it is not the timing T3 (S14: No), the CPU 41 returns to S14 and continues the sewing action. When it is the timing T3 (S14: Yes), the CPU 41 performs the thread catching process of driving the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the cutter standby position Pl of (B) and (A) to the thread catching position P3 of (C) and further to the movable position P6 of (D) on the side opposite to the cutter standby position Pl with respect to the thread catching position P3 (S15). As shown in FIG. 7, the CPU 41 moves the movable cutter 62 from the cutter standby position Pl to the thread catching position P3 during the period from the timing T3 to the timing T4 and moves the movable cutter 62 from the thread catching position P3 to the movable position P6 during the period from the timing T4 to the timing T5. The moving speed of the movable cutter 62 during the period from the timing T3 to the timing T4 is set to be smaller than the moving speed during the period from the timing T4 to the timing T5. The CPU 41 stops the movement of the movable cutter 62 at the movable position P6 from the timing T5 to the timing T6. Figure 10 Figure 11 Figure 10 Figure 10 Figure 14

[0074] The CPU 41 controls the motor 59 so that the absolute value of the moving speed of the movable cutter 62 from the movable position P6 to the cutting position P4 until the cutting thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 are reached is smaller than the absolute value of the moving speed in the thread catching process from the timing T3 to the timing T5, and moves the movable cutter 62 to the stop position P5 so that the cutting thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 are caught between the movable cutter 62 and the stop position P5 (S16). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the stop position P5 to the cutting position P4 (S17). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the cutting position P4 to the cutter standby position Pl (S18). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the cutter standby position Pl to the thread catching position P3 (S19). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the thread catching position P3 to the movable position P6 (S20). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the movable position P6 to the cutting position P4 (S21). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the cutting position P4 to the cutter standby position Pl (S22). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the cutter standby position Pl to the thread catching position P3 (S23). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the thread catching position P3 to the movable position P6 (S24). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the movable position P6 to the cutting position P4 (S25). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59 to move the movable cutter 62 from the cutting position P4 to the cutter standby position Pl (S26). Figure 10 The movable tool 62 shown in (E) stops at a predetermined period (S16) at a stop position P5 between the movable position P6 and the cutting position P4. In this embodiment, the CPU 41 controls the motor 59 such that the absolute value of the moving speed of the movable tool 62 from timing T6 to timing T9 is less than the absolute value of the moving speed of the movable tool 62 during the line capture process from timing T3 to timing T5. The predetermined period of stopping at the stop position P5 can also be changed according to the predetermined distance of S2 or S22, which in this embodiment is the period from timing T7 to T9.

[0075] CPU41 stops the main motor 17 at timing T8 (S17). At timing T8, the lower end of the needle 15 is above the sewn fabric 19. Figure 14 Since the main motor 17 stops at time T8, the angle of the main spindle does not change after time T8. However, it is assumed that the main spindle rotates at the same speed as during sewing, and the angle of the motor 59 after time T8 is recorded. With the movable cutter 62 capturing the top thread 28 via thread capture processing, and the lower end of the needle 15 positioned above the needle plate 11, the CPU 41 uses the feed device 5 to transport the sewn material 19 a predetermined distance (S18). The predetermined distance is a value obtained in S2 or a value set in S22. The transport direction in S18 can be any direction. For example, the transport direction in S18 can also be the direction of the final needle stitch extension. The CPU 41 transports the sewn material 19 a predetermined distance during the period T2 from time T8 to time T9. Figure 10 As shown in (F), CPU41 drives motor 59 to move movable tool 62 to cutting position P4, cutting surface line 28 and bottom line 29 (S19).

[0076] CPU41 controls motor 59, causing movable tool 62 to move from... Figure 10 The cutting position P4 of (F) Figure 10 (B) and Figure 11 The tool (A) moves from the standby position P1, and the end D of the bottom thread cut during the wire cutting process is clamped by the force-applying member 65 and the wire clamping part 66 (S20). The CPU 41 drives the motor 59, causing the output shaft 98 of the motor 59 to rotate counterclockwise in the upward view, so that the movable tool 62 moves from the cutting position P4 to the tool standby position P1. The connecting rod 73 rotates clockwise in the upward view about the support shaft 735, so that the connecting rods 74 to 76 move. During the movement of the movable tool 62 from the cutting position P4 to the tool standby position P1, the end D of the bottom thread cut in S19 is placed on the wire clamping part 66, and the wire clamping part 66 is placed between the force-applying member 65 and the needle plate 11 by the guide parts 654 and 655 of the force-applying member 65. Thus, as Figure 13As shown in (A), the bottom thread end portion D is clamped by the thread clamping portion 66 of the movable cutter 62 and the pressing portion 653 of the force applying member 65 when the movable cutter 62 is moved from the cutting position P4 to the cutter standby position Pl. The bottom thread end portion D is clamped by the thread clamping portion 66 of the movable cutter 62 and the pressing portion 653 of the force applying member 65 before the execution of S12 of the next main processing. In this embodiment, the movement from the stop position P5 of the movable cutter 62 to the cutter standby position Pl is continuously performed in S19, S20, and the cutting of the face thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 and the clamping of the bottom thread end portion D are performed in a series of actions. The CPU 41 ends the main processing up to this point.

[0077] In the above embodiment, the sewing device 1, the cloth feeding device 5, the needle plate 11, the needle accommodating hole 12, the needle bar 14, the needle 15, the input portion 16, the needle bar mechanism 30, the motor 59, the cutting mechanism 60, the fixed cutter 61, and the movable cutter 62 are each one example of a sewing device, a feeding mechanism, a needle plate, a needle accommodating hole, a needle bar, a needle, an input portion, a needle bar mechanism, a motor, a cutting mechanism, a fixed cutter, and a movable cutter of the present application. The moving portion 67 is one example of a cutter moving portion and a holding moving portion of the present application. The cutter standby position Pl, the thread catching position P3, the cutting position P4, the stop position P5, the movable position P6, the standby position Ql, and the holding position Q2 are each one example of a cutter standby position, a face thread catching position, a cutting position, a stop position, a movable position, a standby position, and a holding position of the present application. The processing of S7 is one example of a sewing processing of the present application. The processing of S15 is one example of a thread catching processing of the present application. The processing of S22 is one example of a distance setting processing of the present application.

[0078] The sewing device 1 of the above embodiment has the needle bar mechanism 30, the needle plate 11, the thread feeding device 5, the cutting mechanism 60, and the CPU 41. The needle bar mechanism 30 has the needle bar 14, the lower end of which is capable of mounting the needle 15, and swings the needle bar 14 in the up-and-down direction. The needle plate 11 is formed with the needle accommodating hole 12 through which the needle 15 penetrates. The thread feeding device 5 feeds the sewing material 19 relative to the needle bar mechanism 30 in at least one direction. The cutting mechanism 60 is capable of cutting the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29, and has the fixed cutter 61 fixed to the lower side of the needle plate 11, the movable cutter 62 provided so as to be capable of rotating relative to the fixed cutter 61 in the horizontal direction, and the moving section 67 having the motor 59 that rotates the movable cutter 62 in the horizontal direction by the power of the motor 59. The CPU 41 controls the needle bar mechanism 30, the thread feeding device 5, and the cutting mechanism 60. The CPU 41 drives the needle bar mechanism 30 and the thread feeding device 5, and forms the stitches in the sewing material 19 with the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 (S7). The CPU 41, in correspondence with the stitch that is last in the sewing order in the sewing material 19, drives the motor 59, moves the movable cutter 62 from the cutter standby position Pl, which is a position where the movable cutter 62 is located apart from the fixed cutter 61 in the horizontal direction, to the thread catching position P3, which is a position where the movable cutter 62 catches the top thread 28 located in the vicinity of the needle accommodating hole 12, and further to the movable position P6, which is located on the side opposite to the cutter standby position Pl relative to the thread catching position P3 (S15). The CPU 41, in the state where the movable cutter 62 has caught the top thread 28 by the thread catching process of S15, and on the condition that the lower end of the needle 15 is located at a position higher than the needle plate 11, feeds the sewing material 19 by a predetermined distance with the thread feeding device 5 (S18). The CPU 41, after the process of S18, drives the motor 59, moves the movable cutter 62 to the cutting position P4, where the movable cutter 62 crosses the fixed cutter 61, and cuts the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 (S19). The sewing device 1, in the process of S18, is capable of adjusting the length of the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 from the stitch that is last in the sewing order by feeding the sewing material 19 by the predetermined distance. The process of S18 of the sewing device 1 contributes to the freedom of the length of the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 by the predetermined distance.

[0079] The CPU 41 controls the motor 59 so that the moving speed of the movable cutter 62 from the movable position P6 to the cutting position P4 until the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 are cut is lower than the moving speed of the movable cutter 62 in the thread catching process of S15. The sewing device 1, by making the moving speed of the movable cutter 62 from the movable position P6 to the cutting position P4 until the top thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 are cut lower than the moving speed of the movable cutter 62 in the thread catching process of S15, is easy to secure the time for performing the process of S18.

[0080] The cutting position P4 is located between the movable position P6 and the tool standby position P1. The sewing device 1 can be made compact compared to a case where the cutting position P4 is located between the rotating position and the tool standby position P1.

[0081] The CPU 41 controls the motor 59 so that the movable cutter 62 stops at a stop position P5 between the movable position P6 and the cutting position P4 for a predetermined period after the thread capturing process at S15 until the cutting of the surface thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 at S19 (S16). The sewing device 1 can easily secure the time required to convey the sewn article 19 by a predetermined distance in the process at S18 compared to a case where the movable cutter 62 does not stop at the stop position P5.

[0082] The stop position P5 is a position where the distance E in the horizontal direction from the tip of the blade portion 612 of the fixed cutter 61 to the tip of the blade portion 622 of the movable cutter 62 is within 5 mm, and is a position just before cutting. The sewing device 1 can appropriately cut the surface thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 in the cutting process compared to a case where the distance E in the horizontal direction from the tip of the blade portion 612 of the fixed cutter 61 to the tip of the blade portion 622 of the movable cutter 62 is more than 5 mm.

[0083] The sewing device 1 has the input portion 16, and the CPU 41 sets a predetermined distance input from the input portion 16 (S22). The CPU 41 conveys the sewn article 19 by the predetermined distance set in the process at S22 in the process at S18. The sewing device 1 can improve the degree of freedom of setting the lengths of the surface thread 28 and the bottom thread 29 compared to a case where the input of the predetermined distance is not accepted.

[0084] The rotating center of the movable cutter 62 is located on the side opposite to the motor 59 with respect to the needle accommodating hole 12 in the direction from the motor 59 toward the needle accommodating hole 12 in the plane parallel to the needle plate 11. The sewing device 1 can improve the degree of freedom of design on the motor 59 side with respect to the needle accommodating hole 12 compared to a case where the rotating center of the movable cutter 62 is located on the motor 59 side with respect to the needle accommodating hole 12 in the direction from the motor 59 toward the needle accommodating hole 12 in the plane parallel to the needle plate 11.

[0085] The sewing device 1 has a surface thread holding mechanism 80 that is driven by the power of the motor 59 to hold the surface thread end portion U of the surface thread 28 that passes through the needle 15 on the lower side of the needle plate 11 in a releasable manner. The sewing device 1 can perform the actions of the cutting mechanism 60 and the surface thread holding mechanism 80 with one motor 59. The sewing device 1 holds the bottom thread end portion D with the cutting mechanism 60 and holds the surface thread end portion U with the surface thread holding mechanism 80, and thus can suppress the occurrence of defects due to the winding of the surface thread end portion or the bottom thread end portion D in the stitch.

[0086] The thread retaining mechanism 80 includes a first retaining member 81 provided on the lower surface of the needle plate 11, a second retaining member 82 rotatably supported by a support portion 84 to the needle plate 11, and retains the thread end portion U in cooperation with the first retaining member 81, and a moving portion 67 that moves the second retaining member 82 in the horizontal direction by the power of the motor 59. The moving portion 67 moves the second retaining member 82 to a standby position Q1 in which the needle hole 12 is disposed between the first retaining member 81 and the second retaining member 82 in the horizontal direction, and a retaining position Q2 in which the second retaining member 82 is separated from the needle hole 12 in the horizontal direction and the second retaining member 82 overlaps the first retaining member 81 in the vertical direction. In the sewing device 1, the power of the thread retaining mechanism 80 can be shared with the cutting mechanism 60, and thus, compared with the sewing device 1 in which the power of the thread retaining mechanism 80 and the power of the cutting mechanism 60 are separately provided, the structure can be simplified.

[0087] The support portion 84 is provided on the motor 59 side with respect to the needle hole 12 in the direction from the motor 59 toward the needle hole 12 on the plane parallel to the needle plate 11. In the sewing device 1, in a case where the rotation center of the movable cutter 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 is provided on the side opposite to the motor 59 side with respect to the needle hole 12 in the direction from the motor 59 toward the needle hole 12 on the plane parallel to the needle plate 11, the possibility of interference between the thread retaining mechanism 80 and the cutting mechanism 60 can be reduced, and the degree of freedom of design of the side opposite to the motor 59 side with respect to the needle hole 12 can be improved.

[0088] The sewing device 1 includes an urging member 65 fixed to the lower side of the needle plate 11. The movable cutter 62 has a thread clamping portion 66 that can clamp the thread end portion D of the bobbin thread 29 after being cut by the movable cutter 62 between the urging member 65, and a thread releasing portion 68 that cannot clamp the thread end portion D between the urging member 65. When the second retaining member 82 is positioned at the standby position Q1, the movable cutter 62 is positioned at the cutter standby position P1, and when the second retaining member 82 is positioned at the retaining position Q2, the movable cutter 62 and the urging member 65 clamp the thread end portion D. The sewing device 1 can synchronize the operations of the thread retaining mechanism 80 and the cutting mechanism 60. The sewing device 1 can clamp the thread end portion D by the cutting mechanism 60 when the thread retaining mechanism 80 is positioned at the standby position Q1 and at the retaining position Q2, respectively.

[0089] The sewing device of the present application can be variously changed in addition to the above-described embodiments. The structure of the sewing device 1 can be appropriately changed, and for example, the sewing device 1 can not be provided with at least any one of the thread holding mechanism 80, the fixed knife 97, the input portion 16, and the display portion 13. The structure of the thread holding mechanism 80 can be appropriately changed. The structure, shape, size, arrangement, and the like of the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82 can be appropriately changed. The first holding portion 86 and the second holding portion 87 can be a single member, or the second holding member 82 can not be provided with the second holding portion 87, and the thread end portion U can be held by the first holding member 81 and the second holding member 82. The through portions 88 and 89 can be omitted, and the planar shape of the through portions 88 and 89 can be, for example, an arbitrary shape hole penetrating in the up-and-down direction. The through portions 88 and 89 can have the same shape or different shapes. The first holding member 81 can be provided with a notch or a through hole that allows the needle 15 to pass therethrough. The first holding portion 86 can not be arranged on the same horizontal plane as the movable knife 62. The standby position Q1 and the holding position Q2 of the second holding member 82 can be appropriately changed. When the second holding member 82 is positioned at the standby position Q1, the second holding member 82 can be separated from the needle accommodating hole 12 and the first holding member 81 in the horizontal direction.

[0090] The structure of the cutting mechanism 60 can be appropriately changed. The cutting mechanism 60 can not be provided with at least any one of the biasing member 65, the thread holding portion 66, and the thread releasing portion 68, and the thread end portion D can not be held between the biasing member 65 after the thread 28 and the bobbin thread 29 are cut in S19. The cutting mechanism 60 can be operated by power of a motor different from the motor 59 of the thread holding mechanism 80, or the movable knife 62 can be operated by power of the motor 59 via a power transmission member different from the link mechanism 72. The correspondence between the position of the movable knife 62 of the cutting mechanism 60 and the position of the second holding member 82 of the thread holding mechanism 80 can be appropriately changed. The biasing member 65 can have a structure other than a plate spring such as a coil spring. The fulcrum 69 can be fixed to the motor 59 side, that is, the rear side with respect to the needle accommodating hole 12.

[0091] The program including an instruction for causing the sewing device 1 to execute the main process can be stored in the storage device 45 before the CPU 41 executes the program. Therefore, the method of acquiring the program, the path of acquiring the program, and the device storing the program can be appropriately changed. The program executed by the CPU 41 can be received from another device via a cable or wireless communication and stored in the nonvolatile storage device. The other device includes, for example, a PC or a server connected via a network.

[0092] Part or all of the processing performed by the sewing device 1 can also be performed by an electronic device other than the CPU 41 (for example, an ASIC). The processing performed by the sewing device 1 can also be processed in a distributed manner by a plurality of electronic devices (for example, a plurality of CPUs). The order of the steps of the processing performed by the sewing device 1 can be changed, omitted, or additional steps can be added as needed. The scope of the present application also includes a manner in which an operating system (OS) or the like running on the sewing device 1 performs part or all of each processing according to an instruction of the CPU 41.

[0093] It can also be that, in the processing of S17, the sewing device 1 does not stop the movable knife 62 at the stop position P5, but moves the movable knife 62 at a low speed so that the cloth feeding device 5 transports the sewn article 19 by a predetermined distance before the movable knife 62 reaches the cutting position P4. It can also be that, in the processing of S17, the sewing device 1 stops the movable knife 62 at the stop position P5, and controls the motor 59 so that the moving speed of the movable knife 62 in the thread capturing processing of S15 is greater than or equal to the moving speed of the movable knife 62 from the movable position P6 to the cutting position P4 until the cutting surface thread 28 and the bottom thread 29. The stop position P5 can be appropriately changed, and can be a position in which the distance E in the horizontal direction from the tip end of the blade portion 612 of the fixed knife 61 to the tip end of the blade portion 622 of the movable knife 62 is greater than 5 mm.

[0094] The knife standby position P1, the release position P2, the thread capturing position P3, the cutting position P4, the stop position P5, and the movable position P6 of the movable knife 62 can be appropriately changed. It can also be that the cutting position P4 is not located between the movable position P6 and the knife standby position P1, and the movable position P6 is located in a direction from the knife standby position P1 toward the cutting position P4 with respect to the cutting position P4. The shapes of the fixed knife 61 and the movable knife 62 and the structure for moving the movable knife 62 can also be appropriately changed in consideration of the positional relationship between the movable position P6 and the cutting position P4. The sewing device 1 can either automatically set the predetermined distance or not set the predetermined distance input from the input portion 16.

[0095] It can also be that, in the case where the sewing device 1 does not have the fixed knife 97, the CPU 41 determines whether it is the release timing of the release surface thread end portion U in S10, and the surface thread holding mechanism 80 holds the surface thread end portion U in the case where it is the release timing. In this case, it can also be that the CPU 41 moves the second holding member 82 to the standby position Q1 as the processing of holding the surface thread end portion U. The timing at which the cutting mechanism 60 releases the bottom thread end portion D and the timing at which the surface thread end portion U is released or cut can be the same as each other or different from each other.

[0096] Also, in the sewing device 1, instead of the cloth feeding device 5, a structure that moves the needle bar mechanism 30 and the shuttle mechanism in the front, back, left, and right directions can be provided as the conveyance mechanism, or the structure that moves the needle bar mechanism 30 and the shuttle mechanism in the front, back, left, and right directions can be added as the conveyance mechanism, and the conveyance mechanism moves relative to the sewn article and performs sewing. In this case, the conveyance process of S18 can be implemented by moving the needle bar mechanism 30 and the shuttle mechanism in at least one direction relative to the sewn article by a predetermined distance within the period T2 from the timing T8 to the timing T9.

[0097] The above-described modifications can be appropriately combined within a range that does not contradict each other. The technology disclosed in this specification can be implemented in various ways, for example, by a control method of a sewing device, a computer program for implementing the above-described method, a recording medium that records the computer program, and the like.
