[0038] With the continuous development of display technology, the display effects of various display panels are gradually improving. For example, organic light emitting diode (OLED) display panels and display panels using mini light emitting diode (MiniLight Emitting Diode, Mini-LED) devices or microlight emitting diode (MicroLight Emitting Diode, Micro-LED) devices have the advantages of high image quality, power saving, thin body and wide range of applications. They are widely used in various consumer electronic products such as mobile phones, televisions, personal digital assistants, digital cameras, laptops, desktop computers, etc., and have become the mainstream in display devices.

[0039] However, current display products have a high risk of privacy leakage, and when there is no need for side-view viewing, energy waste is relatively serious.

[0040] The present application provides a display device, which may include but is not limited to mobile phones, tablets, laptops, televisions, desktops, terminals, interactive displays, digital audio and video devices, Internet of Things devices, etc. Among them, interactive displays may include interactive whiteboards, digital advertising interactive screens, and game interactive displays, etc., and Internet of Things devices may include smart home devices and smart wearable devices, etc. Among them, the display device may include a display panel, and the display device may provide a display interface and touch input through the display panel to realize corresponding functions.

[0041] Please refer to Figure 1 , Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a display device according to one or more embodiments of the present application.

[0042] The display device 1 can be an ordinary mobile phone, a feature phone or a smart phone. The smart phone can be a flat screen phone, a curved screen phone or a foldable phone, etc. The display device 1 is provided with a display panel 2, and the display panel 2 can be arranged at the head, middle or tail of the display device 1. The display panel 2 can be used for information display of the display device 1. For example, the display panel 2 can be used as the visual information display part of the display device 1. The display panel 2 can also be used as a touch information input part, which is used to facilitate the user to operate the display device 1 by touching the display panel 2, for example, for the display and input requirements of the interface navigation and function switching of the display device 1. The display device 1 also includes an outer shell, and the display panel 2 is installed in the outer shell. The outer shell can protect the display panel 2 and reduce the risk of damage to the display panel 2 by external force.

[0043] Please refer to Figure 2-Figure 3 , Figure 2 is a first structural schematic diagram of a first light adjustment part of a display panel in a second transmittance state according to one or more embodiments of the present application; Figure 3 is based on Figure 2 The structure diagram of the first light adjustment part of the display panel shown is in a first transmittance state.

[0044] To solve the above problems, the present application provides a display panel 2, which includes a driving substrate 10, a pixel definition layer 20 and a pixel unit 30, wherein the pixel definition layer 20 includes a plurality of first light adjustment parts 21, and the plurality of first light adjustment parts 21 are protrudingly arranged on the driving substrate 10 to form a plurality of pixel accommodating areas 23; the pixel unit 30 includes a plurality of sub-pixels 31, and one sub-pixel 31 is arranged in one pixel accommodating area 23; wherein the first light adjustment part 21 can block part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 in a first transmittance state, so that the remaining part of the light beam of the pixel unit 30 is emitted in a first emission angle range x1, and the first light adjustment part 21 can transmit at least part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 in a second transmittance state, so that the pixel unit 30 emits a light beam in a second emission angle range x2, and the first emission angle range x1 is smaller than the second emission angle range x2.

[0045] The driving substrate 10 may include a substrate and a driving circuit layer, wherein the substrate may be a glass substrate; or a flexible substrate, wherein the material of the flexible substrate is polyimide (PI). The driving circuit layer may be a TFT circuit layer, and the TFT circuit layer is used to drive the pixel unit 30 of the OLED. The specific TFT circuit layer includes a plurality of driving circuit units arranged in an array, and each driving circuit unit may include a thin film transistor (TFT) device and a capacitor. Each driving circuit unit corresponds to a pixel unit 30. The TFT device is a low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) type or a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) type, such as a metal oxide semiconductor type of indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO).

[0046] The pixel definition layer 20 includes a plurality of first light adjustment parts 21, and the plurality of first light adjustment parts 21 are protrudingly arranged on the driving substrate 10 to form a plurality of pixel accommodating areas 23. A plurality of sub-pixels 31 of the pixel unit 30 are arranged in the pixel accommodating area 23. The first light adjustment part 21 can surround the opening formed with the exposed pixel unit 30 to form the pixel accommodating area 23 and allow the pixel accommodating area 23 to define the position of the sub-pixel 31, thereby, the pixel definition layer 20 can define the position of the pixel unit 30, so that the pixel unit 30 is set at a suitable position. The material of the first light adjustment part 21 can be an electrochromic material, which is a transparent material with a reversible change in transmittance under an electric field, and the transmittance increases or decreases when the power is turned on, including but not limited to tungsten trioxide, violaceous derivatives, PDLC (polymer dispersed liquid crystal), etc. The first light adjustment unit 21 can block part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 in the first transmittance state, so that the remaining part of the light beam of the pixel unit 30 is emitted in the first emission angle range x1. The first light adjustment unit 21 can transmit at least part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 in the second transmittance state, so that the pixel unit 30 emits the light beam in the second emission angle range x2, and the first emission angle range x1 is smaller than the second emission angle range x2. It can be understood that the first light adjustment unit 21 can be set to be in the first transmittance state when powered on and in the second transmittance state when not powered on, or it can be set to be in the second transmittance state when powered on and in the first transmittance state when not powered on. For example, the first light adjustment unit 21 is set to be in the second transmittance state when powered on and in the first transmittance state when not powered on. The light beam transmittance of the first light adjustment unit 21 in the first transmittance state is lower than the light beam transmittance of the first light adjustment unit 21 in the second transmittance state. When the first light adjustment unit 21 is not powered on, the first light adjustment unit 21 is in the first transmittance state, and the first light adjustment unit 21 blocks part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30, such as the lateral light beam, so that the remaining part of the light beam of the pixel unit 30 is emitted in a smaller first emission angle range x1. When the second light adjustment unit 22 is powered on, the first light adjustment unit 21 is in the second transmittance state, and the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 can be transmitted through the first light adjustment unit 21, so that the pixel unit 30 is emitted in a larger second emission angle range x2. It can be understood that when the first light adjustment unit 21 is in the first transmittance state, when the observer is located in the second emission angle range x2 and outside the first emission angle range x1, it is difficult to clearly observe the picture displayed by the display panel 2.

[0047] Through the above-mentioned embodiment, when sideways viewing is not required, the first light adjustment part 21 of the pixel definition layer 20 can be in the first transmittance state, thereby shielding part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30, reducing the risk of privacy leakage caused by the sideways viewing of the picture displayed by the display panel 2, and when sideways viewing is required, the first light adjustment part 21 can be in the second transmittance state, thereby transmitting at least part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30, facilitating the sharing of the picture displayed by the display panel 2. Thus, the pixel definition layer 20 can form a pixel accommodating area 23 to accommodate the pixel unit 30, and can also freely adjust the angle range of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30, thereby improving the anti-peeping performance and anti-peeping flexibility of the display panel 2, and reducing the risk of privacy leakage.

[0048] Please refer to Figure 4 , Figure 4 This is a second structural schematic diagram of a first light adjustment part of a display panel in a second transmittance state according to one or more embodiments of the present application.

[0049] In some embodiments, the pixel definition layer 20 further includes a plurality of second light adjustment parts 22, one second light adjustment part 22 corresponds to one first light adjustment part 21, the first light adjustment part 21 covers the respective corresponding second light adjustment part 22, and the second light adjustment part 22 is used to reflect the corresponding first light adjustment part 21 when it is in the second transmittance state. The material of the second light adjustment part 22 can be an organic material, an organic material with an inorganic coating disposed thereon, or one of inorganic materials. The organic material of the second light adjustment part 22 includes, but is not limited to, polyimide. The inorganic material of the second light adjustment part 22 includes, but is not limited to, silicon oxide (SiO2), silicon nitride (Si3N4), silicon oxynitride (Si2N2O), magnesium fluoride (MgF2), or a combination thereof. When the first light adjustment part 21 is in the second transmittance state, the second light adjustment part 22 can reflect the partial light beam transmitted through the first light adjustment part 21, for example, the second light adjustment part 22 can reflect the lateral light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 to the front direction of the display panel 2. Thus, the second light adjustment part 22 can reflect at least part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 when the first light adjustment part 21 is in the second transmittance state, thereby improving the light extraction rate and brightness of the display panel 2.

[0050] Please refer to Figure 5-Figure 7 , Figure 5 is a third structural schematic diagram of a first light adjustment part of a display panel in a second transmittance state according to one or more embodiments of the present application; Figure 6 is based on Figure 5 A schematic structural diagram of a first light adjustment part of a display panel shown in FIG. 1 in a first transmittance state; Figure 7 is based on Figure 5The structure diagram of the first electrode, the pixel definition layer and the second electrode of the display panel is shown.

[0051] In some embodiments, the second light adjustment unit 22 includes a main body 221 and a reflective layer 222, the main body 221 is disposed on the side of the driving substrate 10 facing the first light adjustment unit 21, and the reflective layer 222 is located between the main body 221 and the first light adjustment unit 21, and covers the main body 221. It can be understood that at least part of the light beam transmitted by the first light adjustment unit 21 is transmitted to the reflective layer 222, and can be reflected by the reflective layer 222. The material of the reflective layer 222 can be a mirror material with high light reflectivity, and is covered on the surface of the main body 221 by evaporation or the like. As a result, the main body 221 can provide fixation and support for the reflective layer 222, and the reflective layer 222 can further improve the reflection effect of the second light adjustment unit 22.

[0052] In some embodiments, in the direction from the driving substrate 10 to the pixel definition layer 20, the size of the side wall of the first light adjustment part 21 gradually decreases in the direction parallel to the driving substrate 10, and the size of the side wall of the second light adjustment part 22 gradually decreases in the direction parallel to the driving substrate 10. In some application scenarios, the shapes of the second light adjustment part 22 and the first light adjustment part 21 can be similar or substantially the same, such as the first light adjustment part 21 and the first light adjustment part 21 are both regular trapezoids. Thus, it is convenient for the first light adjustment part 21 to surround the pixel accommodation area 23 with a sufficient opening size, so as to accommodate the pixel unit 30, and at the same time, it is convenient to adjust the reflection angle of the second light adjustment part 22, so that the second light adjustment part 22 reflects the received light beam to the front of the display panel 2, further improving the reflection effect of the second light adjustment part 22.

[0053] In some embodiments, the display panel 2 further includes a pixel flat layer 40, a first electrode 50, and a second electrode 60. The pixel flat layer 40 is disposed on a surface of one side of the driving substrate 10, the pixel definition layer 20 is disposed on a side of the pixel flat layer 40 away from the driving substrate 10, the first electrode 50 and the pixel flat layer 40 are disposed in the same layer, and the second electrode 60 is disposed on a side of the pixel definition layer 20 away from the pixel flat layer 40. The first electrode 50 and the second electrode 60 are used to adjust the transmittance state of the first light adjustment unit 21. The pixel flat layer 40 may be located between the driving substrate 10 and the pixel definition layer 20 and between the driving substrate 10 and the pixel unit 30. The first electrode 50 may be one of an anode electrode and a cathode electrode, and the second electrode 60 may be the other of an anode electrode and a cathode electrode. For example, in some application scenarios, the first electrode 50 is an anode electrode and the second electrode 60 is a cathode electrode. The first electrode 50 is disposed in the same layer as the pixel flat layer 40, and the second electrode 60 is disposed on the side of the pixel definition layer 20 away from the pixel flat layer 40. It can be understood that the second electrode 60 can be disposed on the surface of the pixel definition layer 20 away from the pixel flat layer 40 and directly contact the pixel definition layer 20. The first electrode 50 and the second electrode 60 cooperate to make the first light adjustment part 21 powered or not powered, thereby adjusting the transmittance state of the first light adjustment part 21.

[0054] In some embodiments, the pixel unit 30 includes a first pixel electrode 32, a light emitting layer group 33, and a second pixel electrode 34 which are stacked. The first pixel electrode 32 and the pixel flat layer 40 are arranged on the surface of the driving substrate 10 in the same layer, and the first pixel electrode 32 and the first electrode 50 are arranged at intervals. The first pixel electrode 32 may be one of an anode pixel electrode and a cathode pixel electrode, and the second pixel electrode 34 may be the other of the anode pixel electrode and the cathode pixel electrode. For example, the first pixel electrode 32 is an anode pixel electrode, and the second pixel electrode 34 is a cathode pixel electrode. The first pixel electrode 32 and the first electrode 50 are arranged at intervals in the same layer, which is convenient for reducing the thickness of the display panel 2 and reducing the risk of short circuit between the first pixel electrode 32 and the first electrode 50. The light emitting layer group 33 is located between the first pixel electrode 32 and the second pixel electrode 34, and the light emitting layer group 33 can emit light under the drive of the first pixel electrode 32 and the second pixel electrode 34. It can be understood that the overall thickness of the pixel unit 30 is smaller than the thickness of the pixel definition layer 20, and the second pixel electrode 34 may partially contact the side wall of the first light adjustment part 21. In some application scenarios, the surface of the first light adjustment part 21 is also covered with insulating material, thereby insulating and isolating the first light adjustment part 21 from the second pixel electrode 34.

[0055] In some embodiments, the light-emitting layer group 33 includes a first functional layer 331, a light-emitting layer 332, and a second functional layer 333, which are stacked. The first functional layer 331 is arranged on the side of the first pixel electrode 32 away from the driving substrate 10, and the second pixel electrode 34 is arranged on the side of the second functional layer 333 away from the first pixel electrode 32. The first functional layer 331 and the second functional layer 333 may include one or more of HIL (Hole Injection Layer), HTL (Hole Transfer Layer), HBL (Hole Blocking Layer), ETL (Electron Transfer Layer), and EIL (Electron Inject Layer). The light-emitting layer 332 can emit a light beam, and the light-emitting colors of the light-emitting layers 332 of the multiple sub-pixels 31 can be different. For example, the light-emitting colors of the light-emitting layers 332 of some sub-pixels 31 are red, the light-emitting colors of the light-emitting layers 332 of some sub-pixels 31 are green, and the light-emitting colors of the light-emitting layers 332 of some sub-pixels 31 are blue. It should be noted that the color of the light emitted by the light emitting layer 332 is not limited to red, green, and blue, but may also be yellow or other colors, which are not limited here.

[0056] In some embodiments, the display panel 2 further includes an insulating layer 70, and the insulating layer 70 is disposed between the second pixel electrode 34 and the second electrode 60. Exemplarily, the second electrode 60 is a cathode electrode, the second pixel electrode 34 is a cathode pixel electrode, and the insulating layer 70 is disposed between the cathode electrode and the cathode pixel electrode, so that the cathode electrode and the cathode pixel electrode are insulated and isolated. At least part of the insulating layer 70 may be in contact with the first light adjustment unit 21, thereby further improving the insulation effect. The insulating layer 70 may be a single layer of insulating material. In some application scenarios, the insulating layer 70 may be composed of a multilayer composite insulating material, thereby reducing the risk of the insulating layer 70 being short-circuited due to excessive potential difference between the second electrode 60 and the second pixel electrode 34.

[0057] Please refer to Figure 8-Figure 9 , Figure 8 is a schematic diagram of a display panel from a first viewing angle according to one or more embodiments of the present application; Fig. 9 is based on Figure 8 A schematic diagram of a display panel from a second viewing angle is shown.

[0058] In some embodiments, the first electrode 50 is an anode electrode, and is a whole-surface anode electrode, and the second electrode 60 is a cathode electrode, and is a whole-surface cathode electrode. The plurality of first light adjustment parts 21 are respectively connected to the whole-surface anode electrode and the whole-surface cathode electrode. It can be understood that when the whole-surface anode electrode and the whole-surface cathode electrode are energized, the plurality of first light adjustment parts 21 are energized at the same time and are in the first transmittance state or the second transmittance state at the same time.

[0059] Please refer to Figure 10-12 , Fig.10 is a schematic diagram of a display panel from a first viewing angle according to one or more embodiments of the present application; Fig.11 is based on Fig.10 A second viewing angle schematic diagram of the display panel shown; Fig.12 is based on Fig.11 The equivalent circuit diagram of the display panel shown.

[0060] In some embodiments, the first electrode 50 includes a plurality of sub-electrodes 51, one sub-electrode 51 is arranged corresponding to one first light adjustment part 21, and the plurality of sub-electrodes 51 are respectively connected to a plurality of first control lines 80 to respectively receive the first control signal and adjust the transmittance state of the corresponding first light adjustment part 21 according to the first control signal. Taking the first electrode 50 as an anode electrode as an example, the anode electrode may include a plurality of anode sub-electrodes, one anode sub-electrode is arranged corresponding to one first light adjustment part 21, each anode sub-electrode is respectively connected to a first control line 80, and the anode sub-electrode may receive the first control signal through the first control line 80. When the anode sub-electrode receives the first control signal, the corresponding first light adjustment part 21 is in the power-on state, and the first light adjustment part 21 corresponding to the anode sub-electrode that has not received the first control signal is in the non-power-on state. Therefore, in some application scenarios, some of the first light adjustment parts 21 in the plurality of first light adjustment parts 21 may be in the first transmittance state, and the remaining first light adjustment parts 21 may be in the second transmittance state at the same time. In some other embodiments, the multiple sub-electrodes 51 are also respectively connected to the second control line 90, and the second control line 90 can be used to transmit the second control signal. One second control line 90 can be connected to multiple sub-electrodes 51 accordingly. If a sub-electrode 51 receives the first control signal and the second control signal at the same time, it is in a powered state; if it only receives one of the first control signal and the second control signal or neither of them is received, it is in an unpowered state.

[0061] In summary, the display panel 2 of the present application includes a driving substrate 10, a pixel definition layer 20 and a pixel unit 30, the pixel definition layer 20 includes a plurality of first light adjustment parts 21, and the plurality of first light adjustment parts 21 are protrudingly arranged on the driving substrate 10 to form a plurality of pixel accommodating areas 23; the pixel unit 30 includes a plurality of sub-pixels 31, and one sub-pixel 31 is arranged in one pixel accommodating area 23; wherein the first light adjustment part 21 can block part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 in a first transmittance state, so that the remaining part of the light beam of the pixel unit 30 is emitted in a first emission angle range x1, and the first light adjustment part 21 can transmit at least part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30 in a second transmittance state, so that the pixel unit 30 emits a light beam in a second emission angle range x2, and the first emission angle range x1 is smaller than the second emission angle range x2. Through the above-mentioned embodiment, when sideways viewing is not required, the first light adjustment part 21 of the pixel definition layer 20 can be in a first transmittance state, thereby shielding part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30, reducing the risk of privacy leakage caused by the sideways viewing of the picture displayed by the display panel 2. When sideways viewing is required, the first light adjustment part 21 can be in a second transmittance state, thereby transmitting at least part of the light beam emitted by the pixel unit 30, facilitating the sharing of the picture displayed by the display panel 2. Compared with other display panels, the display panel 2 provided by the present application has a better anti-peeping effect and higher flexibility.
