Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a valve for a cooling module and a cooling module. Background Art

[0002] In recent years, automobiles equipped with motors as driving sources have become popular (hybrid electric vehicles (HEV: Hybrid Electric Vehicle), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV: Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), battery electric vehicles (BEV: Battery Electric Vehicle), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV: Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle), etc.). The above-mentioned automobiles (hereinafter collectively referred to as "electric vehicles") are equipped with batteries for driving motors. In electric vehicles, there are many devices that need to be cooled, such as motors (including internal combustion engines such as engines), batteries, air conditioners, ECUs, etc., so a cooling circuit that circulates cooling water is constructed to cool them. However, the above-mentioned devices often have different appropriate operating temperatures. In such a case, the temperature of the circulating cooling water varies for each device with different operating temperatures, so it is necessary to construct an independent cooling circuit for each cooling water temperature, and the wiring and circuit structure of the cooling circuit piping become complicated. Even in the valve that switches the flow path, it is necessary to deal with such a complex circuit structure.

[0003] In the cooling module disclosed in Patent Document 1 (a flow path switching device in Patent Document 1), a valve (a heat medium three-way valve in Patent Document 1) is disclosed in which an inflow path (a heat medium inflow in Patent Document 1) for cooling water (a heat medium in Patent Document 1) and an outflow path (a heat medium outflow in Patent Document 1) for cooling water (a heat medium in Patent Document 1) are formed at different height positions.

[0004] Patent Document 1: International Publication No. 2022 / 019058

[0005] In the valve of the cooling module disclosed in Patent Document 1, the cooling water flowing in is moved in the vertical direction inside the valve and flows out. Moreover, the inflow path and the outflow path are formed in a direction intersecting with the outer shell of the valve. In the valve disclosed in Patent Document 1, the inflow path and the outflow path need to be arranged according to the height of the valve, so the arrangement of the inflow path and the outflow path is restricted by the valve, and as a result, there is a concern that the wiring of the inflow path and the outflow path becomes complicated. Summary of the invention

[0006] The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cooling module valve and a cooling module that can arrange inflow and outflow paths without being restricted by the height of the valve and that has a high degree of freedom in wiring the inflow and outflow paths.

[0007] One embodiment of the valve for a cooling module of the present invention is a valve for a cooling module for switching multiple flow paths including inflow paths and outflow paths of a fluid flowing in a cooling module, and comprises: a valve chamber for allowing the fluid flowing in the above-mentioned inflow path to flow in and for allowing the fluid flowing in the above-mentioned outflow path to flow out; a valve body, which is accommodated in the above-mentioned valve chamber and switches the multiple flow paths; and at least one of at least one inflow preparation chamber arranged adjacent to the above-mentioned valve chamber between the above-mentioned valve chamber and the above-mentioned inflow path and at least one outflow preparation chamber arranged adjacent to the above-mentioned valve chamber between the above-mentioned valve chamber and the above-mentioned outflow path.

[0008] According to this embodiment, since at least one of the inflow preparation chamber disposed between the valve chamber and the inflow path and the outflow preparation chamber disposed between the valve chamber and the outflow path is provided, the fluid flows into the valve chamber via the inflow preparation chamber and flows out of the valve chamber via the outflow preparation chamber. Therefore, by appropriately designing the size (height) of the inflow preparation chamber and the outflow preparation chamber, the configuration of the inflow path and the outflow path will not be restricted by the height of the cooling module valve. Thus, a cooling module valve having a high degree of freedom in wiring the inflow path and the outflow path can be provided.

[0009] An embodiment of a cooling module of the present invention comprises: a manifold, which is formed by joining a plurality of resin shells; a cooling module valve, which is housed in the manifold and switches a plurality of flow paths; and a water pump, which presses a fluid flowing in the flow path, the cooling module valve having a valve body, a valve chamber for housing the valve body, and a preparatory chamber arranged between the valve chamber and the flow path and adjacent to the valve chamber, in the resin shell, at least a vortex chamber is formed in the plurality of flow paths, the valve chamber, the preparatory chamber, and the water pump, and the resin shell is composed only of the flow path, the valve chamber, the preparatory chamber, the vortex chamber, and a partition wall separating them.

[0010] According to this embodiment, the manifold can be reduced in size.

[0011] An embodiment of a cooling module of the present invention comprises: a manifold, which is formed by joining a plurality of resin shells; and a valve for a cooling module, which is housed in the manifold and switches a plurality of flow paths, the valve for the cooling module having a valve chamber, and a preliminary chamber arranged between the valve chamber and the flow path and adjacent to the valve chamber, a plurality of the flow paths, the valve chamber and the preliminary chamber are formed in the resin shell, the valve chamber includes a first valve chamber and a second valve chamber, and the resin shell is connected via a valve connecting passage that connects the first valve chamber with the second valve chamber.

[0012] According to this embodiment, the fluid can flow between the first valve chamber and the second valve chamber.

[0013] An embodiment of a cooling module of the present invention comprises: a manifold, which is formed by joining a plurality of resin shells through a joining surface; and a valve for a cooling module, which is housed in the manifold and switches a plurality of flow paths, the valve for the cooling module having a valve body that rotates around a rotating shaft core, and a valve chamber that houses the valve body, a plurality of the flow paths and the valve chamber being formed in the resin shell, at least a portion of the plurality of flow paths having a portion that protrudes outward from the resin shell, and the plurality of flow paths that pass through the portion that protrudes outward from the resin shell having: a first flow path group that is an aggregate of a portion of the flow paths, and a second flow path group that is an aggregate of a plurality of the flow paths that is not included in the first flow path group and is offset relative to the first flow path group in the direction along the rotating shaft core.

[0014] According to this embodiment, a plurality of flow paths at different height positions can be arranged, so the cooling module can be made compact. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0037] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the cooling module valve of the present invention will be described in detail using the accompanying drawings. In addition, the embodiments described below are examples for illustrating the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments. Therefore, the present invention can be implemented in various forms as long as it does not deviate from its purpose.

[0038] [First embodiment]

[0039] 〔Cooling system structure〕

[0040] like Figure 1As shown, the cooling system A including the cooling module valve of the first embodiment includes a first water pump 1A, a radiator 1B, an inverter / motor 1C, a DC-DC converter 1D, a charger 1E, a water tank 1F, a second water pump 2A, a heater core 2B, an electric heater 2D, a water-cooled condenser 2C, a third water pump 3A, a battery 3B, a cooler 3C, an electric heater 3D, a first rotary valve 4 (an example of a cooling module valve), a second rotary valve 5 (an example of a cooling module valve), and a plurality of flow paths for circulating cooling water (an example of a fluid, i.e., a coolant) therethrough. The first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A, the third water pump 3A, the first rotary valve 4, and the second rotary valve 5 are mounted on a cooling module 10. On the other hand, the radiator 1B, the inverter / motor 1C, the DC-DC converter 1D, the charger 1E, the water tank 1F, the heater core 2B, the electric heater 2D, the water-cooled condenser 2C, the battery 3B, the cooler 3C and the electric heater 3D are arranged separately from the cooling module 10, and are constructed so that cooling water flows between the cooling module 10 through multiple flow paths.

[0041] Cooling system A is used for automobiles equipped with motors as driving sources, such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), battery electric vehicles (BEV), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), etc. (hereinafter collectively referred to as "electric vehicles"), to circulate cooling water to cool inverter / motor 1C, battery 3B, etc.

[0042] The radiator 1B cools the high-temperature cooling water. The inverter / motor 1C is a driving source that operates with the power supplied from the battery 3B. The DC-DC converter 1D and the charger 1E charge the battery 3B. The heater core 2B heats the air with the high-temperature cooling water to heat the interior of the vehicle. The electric heaters 2D and 3D heat when the temperature of the cooling water is low. The water-cooled condenser 2C and the cooler 3C cool when the temperature of the cooling water is high. The battery 3B supplies power to the inverter / motor 1C.

[0043] The first water pump 1A pumps cooling water to the inverter / motor 1C, the DC-DC converter 1D, and the charger 1E. The second water pump 2A pumps cooling water to the heater core 2B, the electric heater 2D, and the water-cooled condenser 2C. The third water pump 3A pumps cooling water to the battery 3B, the cooler 3C, and the electric heater 3D. The first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A, and the third water pump 3A control the flow of cooling water flowing in a plurality of flow paths by pumping cooling water.

[0044] Hereinafter, the circulation flow path which is configured to return from the radiator 1B through the first water pump 1A, the inverter / motor 1C, the DC-DC converter 1D, the charger 1E and the water storage tank 1F to the radiator 1B is referred to as the first circulation path 1 (see Fig.11 ), the flow path formed in the cooling module 10 in the first circulation path 1 is called the first flow path 11. Similarly, the circulation flow path formed from the heater core 2B through the second water pump 2A, the water-cooled condenser 2C and the electric heater 2D and returning to the heater core 2B is called the second circulation path 2 (refer to Fig.11 ), the flow path formed in the cooling module 10 in the second circulation path 2 is referred to as the second flow path 21. Similarly, the flow path configured to circulate from the battery 3B through the third water pump 3A, the cooler 3C and the electric heater 3D and return to the battery 3B is referred to as the third circulation path 3 (refer to Fig.11 ), the flow path in the third circulation path 3 formed in the cooling module 10 is called the third flow path 31. In addition, a connecting flow path 51 (an example of a flow path and an outflow path) that connects the first flow path 11, the second flow path 21, and the third flow path 31 is formed in the cooling module 10. This will be described later about the flow path structure in the cooling module 10.

[0045] 〔Cooling module structure〕

[0046] like Figure 2 to Figure 5 As shown, the cooling module 10 is composed of a first water pump 1A, a second water pump 2A, a third water pump 3A, a first rotary valve 4, a second rotary valve 5, and a manifold 100 having a flow path for cooling water to flow therethrough in the cooling system A. The manifold 100 is formed by joining a plurality of shells together to form an integral body, thereby forming a plurality of flow paths for cooling water to flow across at least two shells (in this embodiment, the first shell 110 and the second shell 120 described later). In addition, as Figure 1 As shown, the cooling module 10 does not have a water storage tank inside. Since the cooling module 10 does not have a water storage tank, the cooling module 10 can be compactly configured and the degree of freedom of arrangement of the cooling module 10 can be increased.

[0047] The manifold 100 is formed by joining and integrating a first housing 110 (an example of a resin housing) and a second housing 120 (an example of a resin housing) made of resin by a method such as vibration welding. The manifold 100 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape as a whole. Figure 3 , Figure 4As shown, the joint surface 105 of the first housing 110 and the second housing 120 is a plane. In the following, the direction parallel to the long side direction of the joint surface 105 is defined as the X direction, the direction parallel to the short side direction of the joint surface 105 is defined as the Y direction, and the direction perpendicular to the joint surface 105 is defined as the Z direction for explanation. That is, the joint surface 105 is parallel to the XY plane. In addition, in the X direction, the direction from the first water pump 1A toward the third water pump 3A is defined as the X1 direction, and the opposite direction is defined as the X2 direction. In the Y direction, the direction from the second outflow port 115 toward the first inflow port 111 is defined as the Y1 direction, and the opposite direction is defined as the Y2 direction (the second outflow port 115 and the first inflow port 111 will be described later). In the Z direction, the direction from the second housing 120 toward the first housing 110 is defined as the Z1 direction, and the opposite direction is defined as the Z2 direction. The Z2 direction is the gravity direction. That is, the first housing 110 is arranged on the upper side in the vertical direction relative to the second housing 120.

[0048] like Figure 2 , Figure 3 As shown, a first inflow port 111, a second inflow port 112, a third inflow port 113, a first outflow port 114, a second outflow port 115, and a fifth outflow port 116 are formed in the first housing 110. In addition, a third outflow port 121, a fourth outflow port 122, and a sixth outflow port 123 are formed in the second housing 120. The first inflow port 111, the second inflow port 112, the third inflow port 113, the first outflow port 114, the second outflow port 115, the third outflow port 121, the fourth outflow port 122, the fifth outflow port 116, and the sixth outflow port 123 are all cylindrical. The first inflow port 111, the second inflow port 112, and the third inflow port 113 are arranged side by side in a manner that their respective axis cores are along the Z direction and are located on the same plane, and all ports are opened toward the Z1 direction. The first outflow port 114 and the third outflow port 121 are arranged side by side in such a manner that their respective axes are along the X direction and located on the same plane, and all ports are open in the X2 direction. The second outflow port 115 and the fifth outflow port 116 are arranged side by side in such a manner that their respective axes are along the Y direction and located on the same plane, and all ports are open in the Y2 direction. The fourth outflow port 122 and the sixth outflow port 123 are also arranged side by side in such a manner that their respective axes are along the Y direction and located on the same plane, and all ports are open in the Y2 direction.

[0049] The first inflow port 111, the first outflow port 114, and the second outflow port 115 are included in the first circulation path 1, and are communicated with the first flow path 11. The second inflow port 112 and the fourth outflow port 122 are included in the second circulation path 2, and are communicated with the second flow path 21. The third inflow port 113, the fifth outflow port 116, and the sixth outflow port 123 are included in the third circulation path 3, and are communicated with the third flow path 31.

[0050] like Figure 2 , Figure 3 As shown, in the manifold 100, the first rotary valve 4 and the second rotary valve 5 are installed between the first inflow port 111, the second inflow port 112, the third inflow port 113, and the second outflow port 115, the fifth outflow port 116 in the first housing 110 when the first housing 110 is viewed along the Z2 direction. In the first rotary valve 4 and the second rotary valve 5, the exposed portion at the upper portion of the first housing 110 is the first actuator 4B for rotationally driving the first valve body 4A (an example of a valve body) of the first rotary valve 4, and the second actuator 5B for rotationally driving the second valve body 5A (an example of a valve body) of the second rotary valve 5. The first valve body 4A and the second valve body 5A are both located in the second housing 120 (refer to Figure 8 ). Thus, the flow path formed in the second housing 120 can be switched, and the flow of cooling water flowing in the plurality of flow paths can be controlled. The first rotary valve 4 and the second rotary valve 5 are both electromagnetic valves that switch the flow path by an actuator, and the flow of cooling water flowing in the plurality of flow paths is controlled by switching the flow path by rotating the first valve body 4A and the second valve body 5A around the axis core along the Z direction. In addition, the first valve body 4A is a three-way valve, and the second valve body 5A is a four-way valve. The details will be described later.

[0051] like Figure 2 , Figure 3As shown, in the manifold 100, the first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A and the third water pump 3A are sequentially installed in the second housing 120 along the X1 direction. At this time, the first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A and the third water pump 3A are configured so that their respective rotation axes are along the Y direction. In the second housing 120, a downward first sub-flow path 11a connected to the first inflow port 111 and extending and protruding in the Z direction, a downward second sub-flow path 21a connected to the second inflow port 112 and extending and protruding in the Z direction, and a downward third sub-flow path 31a connected to the third inflow port 113 and extending and protruding in the Z direction are formed. The downward first sub-flow path 11a, the downward second sub-flow path 21a, and the downward third sub-flow path 31a are formed across the first housing 110 and the second housing 120. The first water pump 1A presses and delivers the cooling water flowing in from the first inflow port 111 and flowing in the downward first sub-flow path 11a. The second water pump 2A pumps cooling water flowing in through the second downward sub-flow path 21a from the second inflow port 112. The third water pump 3A pumps cooling water flowing in through the third downward sub-flow path 31a from the third inflow port 113. The first downward sub-flow path 11a is a part of the first flow path 11, the second downward sub-flow path 21a is a part of the second flow path 21, and the third downward sub-flow path 31a is a part of the third flow path 31.

[0052] like Figure 5 As shown, the first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A, and the third water pump 3A are mounted on a mounting portion 125 formed at the end portion in the Z2 direction (the lower end in the vertical direction) of the second housing 120. The mounting portion 125 is thicker than other portions of the second housing 120. Thus, even if the second housing 120 is made of resin, it is possible to ensure strength that allows the first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A, and the third water pump 3A, which have weight, to be mounted and held.

[0053] The mounting portion 125 is provided with a first vortex chamber 1Aa that rotates after the cooling water flowing from the downward first sub-flow path 11a to the first water pump 1A is discharged by the rotation of an impeller (not shown), a second vortex chamber 2Aa that rotates after the cooling water flowing from the downward second sub-flow path 21a to the second water pump 2A is discharged by the rotation of the impeller, and a third vortex chamber 3Aa that rotates after the cooling water flowing from the downward third sub-flow path 31a to the third water pump 3A is discharged by the rotation of the impeller. In this way, since the first vortex chamber 1Aa, the second vortex chamber 2Aa, and the third vortex chamber 3Aa are formed in the mounting portion 125, the first water pump 1A, the second water pump 2A, and the third water pump 3A do not need a shield that restricts the inflow and outflow directions of the cooling water, and the cooling module 10 can be miniaturized, lightweight, and low-cost.

[0054] In this way, in the cooling module 10, the manifold 100 has a plurality of flow paths formed across the first housing 110 and the second housing 120, so the number of pipes can be reduced. In addition, the manifold 100 is formed by joining the first housing 110 and the second housing 120, so even if the shape and structure of the flow paths in the manifold 100 become complicated due to consideration of the position and direction of the ports connected to the pipes, the shapes of the first housing 110 and the second housing 120 can be simplified. As a result, the pipes connected to the ports can be integrated to avoid redundant wiring, so the length of the pipes connected to the ports can be shortened and simplified.

[0055] 〔Structure of rotary valve〕

[0056] The first rotary valve 4 includes a first valve body 4A, a first valve chamber 4C (an example of a valve chamber), and a first preliminary chamber 4D (an example of an inflow preliminary chamber and a preliminary chamber). The second rotary valve 5 includes a second valve body 5A, a second valve chamber 5C (an example of a valve chamber), a second preliminary chamber 5D (an example of an inflow preliminary chamber and a preliminary chamber), a third preliminary chamber 5E (an example of an outflow preliminary chamber and a preliminary chamber), and a fourth preliminary chamber 5F (an example of an outflow preliminary chamber and a preliminary chamber).

[0057] In the first rotary valve 4, the first valve body 4A is entirely accommodated in the first valve chamber 4C. Figure 6 As shown, the first valve body 4A has a first shaft 42 that rotates through the first actuator 4B and a first valve body 43 that rotates integrally with the first shaft 42. The first valve body 43 has a cylindrical shape with walls on the top, bottom and sides, and a first flow hole 43a, a second flow hole 43b and a third flow hole 43c are formed on the side wall 43d as through holes. The first flow hole 43a, the second flow hole 43b and the third flow hole 43c are adjacently arranged and separated by 90 degrees in the circumferential direction, and are connected to each other inside the first valve body 43. The first flow hole 43a, the second flow hole 43b and the third flow hole 43c are all roughly rectangular and have the same opening area. The opening areas of the first flow hole 43a, the second flow hole 43b and the third flow hole 43c are larger than the opening areas of the first flow hole 131 (an example of an inlet), the second flow hole 132 and the third flow hole 133 described later (refer to Figure 8 ).

[0058] In the second rotary valve 5, the second valve body 5A is entirely accommodated in the second valve chamber 5C. Figure 7As shown, the second valve body 5A has a second shaft 52 that rotates through the second actuator 5B and a second valve body 53 that rotates integrally with the second shaft 52. The second valve body 53 has a cylindrical shape, and a fourth flow hole 53a and a fifth flow hole 53b are formed on the side wall 53c. The fourth flow hole 53a and the fifth flow hole 53b are connected to each other inside the second valve body 53. The fourth flow hole 53a and the fifth flow hole 53b are arranged 180 degrees apart in the circumferential direction. The fourth flow hole 53a and the fifth flow hole 53b both have a rectangular shape, and the opening area of the fourth flow hole 53a is larger than the opening area of the fifth flow hole 53b. The opening area of the fifth flow hole 53b is about the same as the opening areas of the fifth flow hole 135 (an example of an outlet), the sixth flow hole 136, and the seventh flow hole 137 (an example of an outlet) described later. When the second valve body 53 is rotated about the second shaft 52, even when the fifth flow hole 53b is opposed to any one of the fifth flow hole 135, the sixth flow hole 136, and the seventh flow hole 137, the fourth flow hole 53a has an area of such a degree as to be opposed to the fourth flow hole 134 (an example of an inlet) described later (see Figure 8 ). In addition, Figure 8 , Fig. 9 As shown, the fourth flow hole 134, the fifth flow hole 135, the sixth flow hole 136, and the seventh flow hole 137 are arranged so that the axis P of the fourth flow hole 134, the axis Q of the fifth flow hole 135, the axis R of the sixth flow hole 136, and the axis S of the seventh flow hole 137 are all located on the same plane. If the flow holes are arranged in this way, the heights of the inlet and the outlet can be made consistent, so the height of the second rotary valve 5 can be reduced, and the cooling module 10 can be miniaturized.

[0059] [Flow of cooling water in cooling module]

[0060] Next, use Figure 3 , Figure 8 to Figure 10 The flow of cooling water in the cooling module 10 will be described. First, the first circulation path 1 (see Fig.11 ) is used to explain the flow of cooling water. Figure 3As shown, the cooling water cooled by the radiator 1B enters the second housing 120 of the cooling module 10 from the first inlet port 111 and flows in the downward first sub-flow path 11a along the Z2 direction, and flows into the first water pump 1A. The cooling water pumped by the first water pump 1A flows in the Z1 direction in the upward first sub-flow path 11b formed along the Z direction, and a lateral first sub-flow path 11c (an example of a flow path) branches from the upward first sub-flow path 11b at the joint surface 105 of the first housing 110 and the second housing 120. As described above, the first outflow port 114 is formed in the first housing 110, so the cooling water that crosses the first housing 110 from the second housing 120 and flows in the Z1 direction in the upward first sub-flow path 11b then changes its flow direction to the X2 direction and flows out from the first outflow port 114. The cooling water that flows out from the first outflow port 114 to the outside of the cooling module 10 cools the DC-DC converter 1D and the charger 1E, and flows back to the radiator 1B via the water storage tank 1F (refer to Figure 1 ).

[0061] The first transverse sub-flow path 11c is formed across the first shell 110 and the second shell 120, and is formed along the Y direction. That is, the first transverse sub-flow path 11c is formed along the joint surface 105 of the first shell 110 and the second shell 120, and the upper half of the first transverse sub-flow path 11c is formed in the first shell 110, and the lower half is formed in the second shell 120. Moreover, the first transverse sub-flow path 11c is formed by joining the first shell 110 and the second shell 120. The cooling water flows in the first transverse sub-flow path 11c along the Y2 direction, and flows out to the outside of the cooling module 10 from the second outflow port 115 provided at the downstream end of the first transverse sub-flow path 11c. The cooling water flowing out from the second outflow port 115 cools the inverter / motor 1C, and flows back to the radiator 1B via the water storage tank 1F (refer to Figure 1 ). In addition, the upward first sub-flow path 11 b and the lateral first sub-flow path 11 c constitute a part of the first flow path 11.

[0062] Next, the second circulation path 2 (refer to Fig.11 ) is used to explain the flow of cooling water. Figure 3As shown, the cooling water cooled by the heater core 2B enters the second housing 120 of the cooling module 10 from the second inflow port 112 and flows in the Z2 direction in the downward second sub-flow path 21a, and flows into the second water pump 2A. The cooling water pumped by the second water pump 2A flows in the Z1 direction in the upward second sub-flow path 21b (an example of a flow path and an inflow path) formed along the Z direction. A space, namely, a first preliminary chamber 4D, which is connected to the upward second sub-flow path 21b, is formed at the downstream end of the upward second sub-flow path 21b. The first preliminary chamber 4D is arranged to be adjacent to the first valve chamber 4C of the first rotary valve 4 in the Y1 direction. The first preliminary chamber 4D has a first communication hole 131 opened in the Y direction, and is connected to the first valve chamber 4C via the first flow hole 131. By providing the first preliminary chamber 4D, the flow direction of the cooling water flowing in the Z1 direction in the upward second sub-flow path 21b can be converted to the Y2 direction and flow from the first communication hole 131 into the first valve chamber 4C. That is, the upward second sub-channel 21b is arranged so as not to overlap with the first flow hole 131 in a side view (a view parallel to the XY plane). In addition, the first valve chamber 4C and the first reserve chamber 4D are formed across the second housing 120 and the first housing 110. Thus, the degree of freedom of the shape (size, height) of the first reserve chamber 4D is improved, and the degree of freedom of wiring of the upward second sub-channel 21b can be improved.

[0063] The first valve chamber 4C accommodates the first valve body 4A in a manner that allows it to rotate around the first axis 42 along the Z direction. The cooling water flowing in the upward second sub-flow path 21b all flows into the first valve chamber 4C via the first preliminary chamber 4D and the first connecting hole 131. The first valve chamber 4C is connected to the lateral second sub-flow path 21c (an example of a flow path) via the second connecting hole 132 opening along the Y direction, and is connected to the fourth flow path 41 via the third connecting hole 133 opening along the X direction. The lateral second sub-flow path 21c extends and protrudes along the Y direction, and the fourth flow path 41 extends and protrudes along the X direction, and both are formed in the second housing 120 (refer to Figure 3 In addition, although the downward second sub-flow path 21a, the upward second sub-flow path 21b, the lateral second sub-flow path 21c, the first valve chamber 4C and the first reserve chamber 4D constitute a part of the second flow path 21, the fourth flow path 41 is not a part of the second flow path 21 and does not constitute the second circulation path 2.

[0064] exist Figure 8 In the state shown, the third flow hole 43c of the first valve body 4A is opposite to the first flow hole 131, the first flow hole 43a is opposite to the second flow hole 132, and the third flow hole 133 is opposite to the side wall 43d and is closed. As a result, the cooling water flowing into the first valve chamber 4C flows to the second lateral sub-flow path 21c ( Fig.11In addition, although not shown in the figure, when viewed along the Z2 direction, if the first valve body 43 is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise around the first axis 42, the second flow hole 43b is opposite to the first flow hole 131, the third flow hole 43c is opposite to the third flow hole 133, and on the other hand, the second flow hole 132 is opposite to the side wall 43d and is closed. As a result, the cooling water flowing into the first valve chamber 4C flows to the fourth flow path 41. In this way, the first rotary valve 4 switches the outflow path of the cooling water that flows in the upward second sub-flow path 21b formed in the cooling module 10 and flows into the first valve chamber 4C via the first reserve chamber 4D to the lateral second sub-flow path 21c and the fourth flow path 41.

[0065] The cooling water flowing from the first valve chamber 4C into the second lateral sub-channel 21c through the second communication hole 132 flows in the Y2 direction and flows out from the fourth outflow port 122 to the outside of the cooling module 10. The cooling water flowing out from the fourth outflow port 122 flows back to the heater core 2B through the water-cooled condenser 2C and the electric heater 2D (see Figure 1 The cooling water flowing from the first valve chamber 4C into the fourth flow path 41 through the third communication hole 133 flows in the X2 direction and flows out from the third outflow port 121 to the outside of the cooling module 10. The cooling water flowing out from the second outflow port 115 flows into the radiator 1B through the water storage tank 1F (see Figure 1 The first rotary valve 4 rotates the first valve body 4A around the axis along the Z direction by using the first actuator 4B, so that the cooling water flowing in the upward second sub-flow path 21b and flowing into the first valve chamber 4C is switched to the lateral second sub-flow path 21c and the fourth flow path 41 and flows through them.

[0066] Next, the third circulation path 3 (refer to Fig.11 ) is used to explain the flow of cooling water. Figure 3As shown, the cooling water that has cooled the battery 3B enters the second housing 120 of the cooling module 10 from the third inflow port 113 and flows in the Z2 direction in the downward third sub-flow path 31a, and flows into the third water pump 3A. The cooling water pumped by the third water pump 3A flows in the Z1 direction in the upward third sub-flow path 31b (an example of a flow path and an inflow path) formed along the Z direction. A second reserve chamber 5D, which is a space communicating with the upward third sub-flow path 31b, is formed at the downstream end of the upward third sub-flow path 31b. The second reserve chamber 5D is arranged to be adjacent to the second valve chamber 5C (an example of a valve chamber) of the second rotary valve 5 in the Y1 direction. The second reserve chamber 5D has a fourth communication hole 134 opened in the Y direction, and communicates with the second valve chamber 5C via the fourth communication hole 134. By providing the second reserve chamber 5D, the flow direction of the cooling water flowing in the Z1 direction in the upward third sub-flow path 31b can be converted to the Y2 direction and flow from the fourth communication hole 134 into the second valve chamber 5C. That is, the upward third sub-channel 31b is arranged so as not to overlap with the fourth flow hole 134 in a side view. In addition, the second valve chamber 5C and the second reserve chamber 5D are formed across the second housing 120 and the first housing 110. Thus, the degree of freedom of the shape (size, height) of the second reserve chamber 5D is improved, and the degree of freedom of wiring of the upward third sub-channel 31b can be improved.

[0067] like Figure 8 As shown, the second valve chamber 5C accommodates the second valve body 5A in a manner that can rotate around the second axis 52 along the Z direction. The cooling water flowing in the upward third sub-flow path 31b all flows into the second valve chamber 5C via the second preliminary chamber 5D and the fourth communication hole 134. The second valve chamber 5C has a sixth communication hole 136 that opens along the Y direction, and is connected to the lateral third sub-flow path 31d via the sixth communication hole 136. In addition, the second valve chamber 5C has a fifth communication hole 135 (an example of an outflow port) and a seventh communication hole 137 (an example of an outflow port) that are adjacent to each other on both sides of the circumferential direction with the sixth communication hole 136 sandwiched therebetween, and is connected to the third preliminary chamber 5E and the fourth preliminary chamber 5F via the fifth communication hole 135 and the seventh communication hole 137, respectively. The third preliminary chamber 5E and the fourth preliminary chamber 5F are formed across the second housing 120 and the first housing 110. This improves the degree of freedom in the shape (size, height) of the third preliminary chamber 5E and the fourth preliminary chamber 5F, and improves the degree of freedom in the wiring of the L-shaped third sub-channel 31c and the communication channel 51.

[0068] exist Figure 8In the state shown, the fourth flow hole 53a of the second valve body 5A is opposite to the fourth flow hole 134, the fifth flow hole 53b is opposite to the fifth flow hole 135, and on the other hand, the sixth flow hole 136 and the seventh flow hole 137 are opposite to the side wall 53c and are closed. As a result, the cooling water flowing into the second valve chamber 5C flows to the third preliminary chamber 5E. That is, the cooling water flowing into the second valve chamber 5C flows to the L-shaped third sub-flow path 31c (an example of a flow path and an outflow path) described later. In addition, although not shown in the figure, when observed along the Z2 direction, if the second valve body 53 is rotated 45 degrees clockwise around the second axis 52, the fourth flow hole 53a is kept opposite to the fourth flow hole 134, and the fifth flow hole 53b is kept opposite to the sixth flow hole 136. Furthermore, if the second valve body 53 is further rotated about 45 degrees clockwise around the second shaft 52, the fourth flow hole 53a still remains opposed to the fourth flow hole 134, and the fifth flow hole 53b is opposed to the seventh flow hole 137. In this way, the second rotary valve 5 switches the outflow path of the cooling water flowing through the upward third sub-flow path 31b formed in the cooling module 10 and flowing into the second valve chamber 5C via the second reserve chamber 5D to the third reserve chamber 5E (L-shaped third sub-flow path 31c), the lateral third sub-flow path 31d, and the fourth reserve chamber 5F (communication flow path 51).

[0069] like Fig.10 As shown, the third reserve chamber 5E is connected to the fifth outflow port 116 via the L-shaped third sub-flow path 31c extending along the Z direction. By providing the third reserve chamber 5E, the flow direction of the cooling water flowing into the third reserve chamber 5E from the second valve chamber 5C via the fifth connecting hole 135 in a direction perpendicular to the Z direction can be converted to the Z1 direction and flow in the L-shaped third sub-flow path 31c and flow out from the fifth outflow port 116 to the outside of the cooling module 10. That is, the L-shaped third sub-flow path 31c is configured so as not to overlap with the fifth flow hole 135 in a side view. The cooling water flowing out of the fifth outflow port 116 flows back to the battery 3B via the electric heater 3D (refer to Figure 1 The cooling water flowing from the second valve chamber 5C into the third lateral sub-channel 31d through the sixth communication hole 136 flows in the Y2 direction and flows out from the sixth outflow port 123 to the outside of the cooling module 10. The cooling water flowing out from the sixth outflow port 123 flows back to the battery 3B through the cooler 3C (see Figure 1 In addition, the downward third sub-channel 31a, the upward third sub-channel 31b, the L-shaped third sub-channel 31c, the lateral third sub-channel 31d, the second valve chamber 5C, the second reserve chamber 5D, and the third reserve chamber 5E constitute a part of the third channel 31.

[0070] like Figure 3 , Fig. 9As shown, the fourth preliminary chamber 5F is connected to a communication flow path 51 extending from the fourth preliminary chamber 5F in the Z direction and then extending and protruding in the X direction. That is, the communication flow path 51 is configured so as not to overlap with the seventh flow hole 137 in a side view. The first portion 51a extending in the Z direction of the communication flow path 51 is formed in the second housing 120, and the second portion 51b extending in the X direction is formed across the first housing 110 and the second housing 120. That is, the second portion 51b of the communication flow path 51 is formed along the joint surface 105 of the first housing 110 and the second housing 120, and the upper half of the second portion 51b is formed in the first housing 110, and the lower half is formed in the second housing 120. The communication flow path 51 is not a part of the third flow path 31 and does not constitute the third circulation path 3.

[0071] As described above, the connecting flow path 51 connects the first flow path 11, the second flow path 21, and the third flow path 31 in the cooling module 10. By providing the connecting flow path 51 in this way, the three circulation paths of the cooling water circulation can be integrated, so the number of pipes connected to the port can be reduced, and the length of the pipes can be shortened and simplified.

[0072] The second portion 51b of the communication flow path 51 is connected to the first transverse sub-flow path 11c at the end on the opposite side of the fourth preliminary chamber 5F. In addition, when viewed along the Z direction, the second portion 51b intersects with the second transverse sub-flow path 21c. The second portion 51b is recessed in the Z2 direction and is connected to the second transverse sub-flow path 21c at the intersection position.

[0073] The second rotary valve 5 rotates the second valve body 5A around the axis along the Z direction by using the second actuator 5B, so that the cooling water flowing into the second valve chamber 5C from the upward third sub-channel 31b switches and flows in the following three ways, namely, (1) flows from the fifth communicating hole 135 in the third preliminary chamber 5E and the L-shaped third sub-channel 31c and flows out from the fifth outflow port 116, (2) flows from the seventh communicating hole 137 in the fourth preliminary chamber 5F and the connecting channel 51 and flows out from the second outflow port 115, (3) flows from the seventh communicating hole 137 in the fourth preliminary chamber 5F, the connecting channel 51 and the lateral second sub-channel 21c and flows out from the second outflow port 115 and the fourth outflow port 122, and flows from the sixth communicating hole 136 in the lateral third sub-channel 31d and flows out from the sixth outflow port 123.

[0074] In the side view, the L-shaped third sub-channel 31c is arranged so as not to overlap the fifth flow hole 135, and the communication channel 51 is arranged so as not to overlap the seventh flow hole 137. By making the outflow channel and the outflow port different in height, the freedom of routing the outflow channel can be increased.

[0075] [Second embodiment]

[0076] Next, a rotary valve 6 (an example of a valve for a cooling module) according to a second embodiment will be described using the drawings. The rotary valve 6 according to this embodiment is used in a cooling module 20. The cooling module 20 has a different flow path structure from the cooling module 10 according to the above embodiment.

[0077] like Figure 13 to Figure 16 As shown, the rotary valve 6 includes: a valve body 6A, a valve chamber 6C, a first preparatory chamber 6D (an example of an inflow preparatory chamber and a preparatory chamber), a second preparatory chamber 6E (an example of an inflow preparatory chamber and a preparatory chamber), a third preparatory chamber 6F (an example of an outflow preparatory chamber and a preparatory chamber), and a fourth preparatory chamber 6G (an example of an outflow preparatory chamber and a preparatory chamber). In the rotary valve 6, the valve body 6A is entirely housed in the valve chamber 6C. Fig.12 As shown, the valve body 6A has a shaft 62 that rotates around the rotation axis T through the actuator 6B and a valve body 63 that rotates integrally with the shaft 62. The valve body 63 is formed by two circular plates 63a and 63b that are separated and arranged in the upper and lower directions; a connecting plate 63c that includes the rotation axis T of the shaft 62 and is arranged to connect the two circular plates 63a and 63b; a semicircular partition plate 63d that is arranged perpendicular to the connecting plate 63c and at the center of the connecting plate 63c; and two supporting columns that connect the two circular plates 63a and 63b. Furthermore, the first valve space 63e (an example of a valve space) is formed by the two circular plates 63a, 63b and the connecting plate 63c, the second valve space 63f (an example of a valve space) is formed by the circular plate 63a, the connecting plate 63c and the partition plate 63d, and the third valve space 63g (an example of a valve space) is formed by the circular plate 63b, the connecting plate 63c and the partition plate 63d. That is, the connecting plate 63c divides the valve into a plurality of (in this embodiment, two) spaces in the circumferential direction (spaces that make the first valve space 63e, the second valve space 63f and the third valve space 63g integral). In addition, at least one of the spaces is further divided into a plurality of (in this embodiment, two) spaces (the second valve space 63f and the third valve space 63g) in the direction along the rotation axis T by the partition plate 63d. When the valve body 6A is accommodated in the valve chamber 6C, the first valve space 63e, the second valve space 63f, and the third valve space 63g are partitioned by the circular plates 63a, 63b, the connecting plate 63c, and the partition plate 63d, and are not communicated with each other.

[0078] The manifold of the cooling module 20 is formed by joining and integrating a first shell 70 (an example of a resin shell) and a second shell 80 (an example of a resin shell) both made of resin by a method such as vibration welding. A valve chamber 6C is arranged in the second shell 80, and a first preparation chamber 6D, a second preparation chamber 6E, a third preparation chamber 6F, a fourth preparation chamber 6G, and a fifth preparation chamber 6H are arranged adjacent to the valve chamber 6C. The first preparation chamber 6D, the second preparation chamber 6E, the third preparation chamber 6F, the fourth preparation chamber 6G, and the fifth preparation chamber 6H are formed across the second shell 80 and the first shell 70. As a result, the degree of freedom of the shape (size, height) of each preparation chamber is improved, and the degree of freedom of the wiring of the inflow path and the outflow path described later can be improved.

[0079] The following will be Fig.13 The direction parallel to the cross section shown and perpendicular to the axis 62 is defined as the X direction, the direction perpendicular to the cross section is defined as the Y direction, and the direction parallel to the axis 62 is defined as the Z direction. In addition, the direction from the valve body 6A toward the fifth reserve chamber 6H in the X direction is defined as the X1 direction, and the opposite direction thereof is defined as the X2 direction. The direction from the valve body 6A toward the third inflow path 82 described later in the Y direction is defined as the Y2 direction, and the opposite direction thereof is defined as the Y1 direction. The direction from the second housing 80 toward the first housing 70 in the Z direction is defined as the Z1 direction, and the opposite direction thereof is defined as the Z2 direction. The Z2 direction is the direction of gravity. That is, the first housing 70 is arranged on the upper side in the vertical direction relative to the second housing 80.

[0080] like Figure 13 to Figure 16 As shown, the first preliminary chamber 6D is formed in the first housing 70 and is connected to the first inflow path 71 (an example of a flow path and an inflow path) into which the cooling water flows in. The second preliminary chamber 6E is formed in the second housing 80 and is connected to the second inflow path 81 (an example of a flow path and an inflow path) into which the cooling water flows in via the seventh flow hole 64g (an example of an inflow port). The third preliminary chamber 6F is formed across the first housing 70 and the second housing 80 and is connected to the first outflow path 72 (an example of a flow path and an outflow path) from which the cooling water flows out via the eighth flow hole 64h (an example of an outflow port). The fourth preliminary chamber 6G is formed in the first housing 70 and is connected to the second outflow path 73 (an example of a flow path and an outflow path) from which the cooling water flows out. The fifth preliminary chamber H is formed in the second housing 80 and is connected to the third outflow path 74 (an example of a flow path and an outflow path) from which the cooling water flows out via the ninth flow hole 64i (an example of an outflow port). The valve body 6A is formed in the second housing 80 and is connected to a third inflow path 82 (an example of a flow path) through which the cooling water flows in. No reserve chamber is formed between the third inflow path 82 and the valve body 6A.

[0081] The valve body 6A and the first reserve chamber 6D are communicated via the first flow hole 64a (an example of an inlet) formed in the valve chamber 6C. The valve body 6A and the second reserve chamber 6E are communicated via the second flow hole 64b (an example of an inlet) formed in the valve chamber 6C. The valve body 6A and the third reserve chamber 6F are communicated via the third flow hole 64c (an example of an outlet) formed in the valve chamber 6C. The valve body 6A and the fourth reserve chamber 6G are communicated via the fourth flow hole 64d (an example of an outlet) formed in the valve chamber 6C. The valve body 6A and the fifth reserve chamber 6H are communicated via the fifth flow hole 64e (an example of an outlet) formed in the valve chamber 6C. The valve body 6A and the third inflow path 82 are communicated via the sixth flow hole 64f formed in the valve chamber 6C. At this time, the first flow hole 64a, the second flow hole 64b, and the fourth flow hole 64d are arranged in the valve body 6A at a position closer to the partition plate 63d in the Z2 direction and overlapping with the third valve space 63g in the side view (view parallel to the XY plane), and at this time, the axis cores (not shown) of the first flow hole 64a, the second flow hole 64b, and the fourth flow hole 64d are located on the same plane. In addition, the third flow hole 64c, the fifth flow hole 64e, and the sixth flow hole 64f are arranged in the valve body 6A at a position closer to the partition plate 63d in the Z1 direction and overlapping with the second valve space 63f in the side view, and at this time, the axis cores (not shown) of the third flow hole 64c, the fifth flow hole 64e, and the sixth flow hole 64f are located on the same plane. As a result, the height positions of the inlet and the outlet can be aligned to two different heights, so compared with a rotary valve in which a plurality of inlet and outlet are arranged at different height positions, the height of the rotary valve 6 can be reduced, and the cooling module 20 can be miniaturized. For example, the first flow hole 64a and the third flow hole 64c are located at different heights and communicate with each other via a first valve space 63e of a valve body 6A disposed in a valve chamber 6C.

[0082] [Flow of cooling water in cooling module]

[0083] Next, use Figure 14 to Figure 16 The flow of cooling water in the cooling module 20 is described. In the cooling module 20 of this embodiment, the rotary valve 6 switches the flow path in three ways. The positions of the valve body 6A are called the first position, the second position, and the third position. Figure 14 to Figure 16 (a) is Fig.13 The cross-sectional view in the direction of arrow aa, (b) is Fig.13 Cross-sectional view in the direction of arrow bb.

[0084] exist Fig.14In the first position shown, the first valve space 63e of the valve body 6A is opposite to the first preparatory chamber 6D and the third preparatory chamber 6F, the second valve space 63f of the valve body 6A is opposite to the third inlet path 82 and the fifth preparatory chamber 6H, and the third valve space 63g of the valve body 6A is opposite to the second preparatory chamber 6E and the fourth preparatory chamber 6G. At this time, the cooling water flowing into the first preparatory chamber 6D from the first inlet path 71 flows into the third preparatory chamber 6F through the first flow hole 64a, the first valve space 63e, and the third flow hole 64c, and flows out to the first outflow path 72 (see also Fig.13 The cooling water flowing into the third inflow passage 82 flows into the fifth reserve chamber 6H through the sixth flow hole 64f, the second valve space 63f, and the fifth flow hole 64e, and flows out to the third outflow passage 74 (see also Fig.13 The cooling water flowing into the second preliminary chamber 6E from the second inlet passage 81 flows into the fourth preliminary chamber 6G via the second flow hole 64b, the third valve space 63g, and the fourth flow hole 64d, and flows out to the second outlet passage 73 (see also Fig.13 ).

[0085] exist Fig.15 In the second position shown, the first valve space 63e of the valve body 6A is opposite to the second preliminary chamber 6E and the third preliminary chamber 6F, the second valve space 63f of the valve body 6A is opposite to the third inlet path 82 and the fifth preliminary chamber 6H, and the third valve space 63g of the valve body 6A is opposite to the first preliminary chamber 6D and the fourth preliminary chamber 6G. At this time, the cooling water flowing into the second preliminary chamber 6E from the second inlet path 81 flows into the third preliminary chamber 6F via the second flow hole 64b, the first valve space 63e, and the third flow hole 64c, and flows out to the first outflow path 72 (see also Fig.13 The cooling water flowing into the third inflow passage 82 flows into the fifth reserve chamber 6H through the sixth flow hole 64f, the second valve space 63f, and the fifth flow hole 64e, and flows out to the third outflow passage 74 (see also Fig.13 The cooling water flowing into the first preliminary chamber 6D from the first inflow passage 71 flows into the fourth preliminary chamber 6G via the first flow hole 64a, the third valve space 63g, and the fourth flow hole 64d, and flows out to the second outflow passage 73 (see also Fig.13 ).

[0086] exist Fig.16In the third position shown, the first valve space 63e of the valve body 6A is opposite to the second preliminary chamber 6E and the fifth preliminary chamber 6H, the second valve space 63f of the valve body 6A is opposite to the third inlet path 82 and the third preliminary chamber 6F, and the third valve space 63g of the valve body 6A is opposite to the first preliminary chamber 6D and the fourth preliminary chamber 6G. At this time, the cooling water flowing into the second preliminary chamber 6E from the second inlet path 81 flows into the fifth preliminary chamber 6H via the second flow hole 64b, the first valve space 63e, and the fifth flow hole 64e, and flows out to the third outflow path 74 (see also Fig.13 The cooling water flowing into the third inflow passage 82 flows into the third reserve chamber 6F through the sixth flow hole 64f, the second valve space 63f, and the third flow hole 64c, and flows out to the first outflow passage 72 (see also Fig.13 The cooling water flowing into the first preliminary chamber 6D from the first inflow passage 71 flows into the fourth preliminary chamber 6G via the first flow hole 64a, the third valve space 63g, and the fourth flow hole 64d, and flows out to the second outflow passage 73 (see also Fig.13 ).

[0087] Thus, since the first reserve chamber 6D is provided, even if the first inflow path 71 is separated and arranged above the rotary valve 6 (Z1 direction) and extends in the Z direction, the flow direction can be changed by 90 degrees so that the cooling water flows into the valve chamber 6C. In addition, since the third reserve chamber 6F is provided, even if the first outflow path 72 is separated and arranged above the rotary valve 6 and extends in the X direction, the height of the cooling water flowing out of the valve chamber 6C in the Z direction can be changed so that the cooling water flows into the first outflow path 72. Furthermore, since the fourth reserve chamber 6G is provided, even if the second outflow path 73 is separated and arranged above the rotary valve 6 and extends in the Z direction, the height and direction of the cooling water flowing out of the valve chamber 6C in the Z direction can be changed so that the cooling water flows into the second outflow path 73. Furthermore, since the fifth preliminary chamber 6H is provided, even if the third outflow path 74 is separated and arranged above the rotary valve 6 and extends and protrudes in the X direction, the height of the cooling water flowing out of the valve chamber 6C in the Z direction can be changed so that the cooling water flows to the third outflow path 74. Therefore, the arrangement of the inflow path and the outflow path is not restricted by the height (length in the Z direction) of the rotary valve 6. In addition, the height of the inflow path and the inlet and / or the height of the outflow path and the outlet can be made different, so the degree of freedom of wiring of the inflow path and the outflow path can be increased.

[0088] [Third embodiment]

[0089] Next, use Figures 17 to 20A cooling module 300 using the first rotary valve 340 (an example of a cooling module valve) and the second rotary valve 350 (an example of a cooling module valve) of the third embodiment will be described. The cooling module 300 of this embodiment has a different flow path structure from the cooling modules 10 and 20 of the above-mentioned embodiments.

[0090] like Fig.17 As shown, the cooling module 300 of this embodiment includes a first rotary valve 340, a second rotary valve 350, a first water pump 360 (an example of a water pump), a second water pump 370 (an example of a water pump), and a plurality of flow paths 312 (an example of an inflow path and an outflow path) formed to allow cooling water to flow thereto (see Fig.19 ) is formed by a manifold 302. The manifold 302 is formed by joining a plurality of housings together. In this embodiment, Fig. 20 As shown, the first housing 310 and the second housing 330 are joined to form.

[0091] Fig.19 The plurality of flow paths 312 shown are a concept including both an inflow path for cooling water to flow into the first rotary valve 340 or the second rotary valve 350, and an outflow path for cooling water to flow out of the first rotary valve 340 or the second rotary valve 350. The plurality of flow paths 312 are a concept including all flow paths for cooling water to flow inside the manifold 302, such as a flow path formed only in the first housing 310, a flow path formed only in the second housing 330, and a flow path formed from the first housing 310 across the second housing 330.

[0092] In the flow path 312 of the present embodiment, the flow path 312 having a portion protruding outward from the outer wall 310a of the first housing 310 is provided with a plurality of (five in the present embodiment) on the side close to the second housing 330 and a plurality of (four in the present embodiment) on the side away from the second housing 330 in the direction along the rotation axis AX of the first rotary valve 340. Specifically, Fig.19 In FIG. 1 , the five flow paths 312 depicting the overall appearance of the protruding portion are the flow paths 312 on the side close to the second housing 330. On the other hand, the four flow paths 312 depicting the protruding portion in cross section are the flow paths 312 on the side away from the second housing 330. The central axes along the protruding directions of the nine flow paths 312 are all perpendicular to the rotation axis AX (refer to FIG. 1 ). Fig.18 ). Five of the nine flow paths 312 disposed on the side close to the second housing 330 intersect with an imaginary plane P1 that passes through the central axis CX of the protruding portion of any of the flow paths 312 and is perpendicular to the rotation axis AX (refer to Fig.17The set of five flow paths 312 having such a positional relationship is referred to as a first flow path group 312a. In addition, four flow paths 312 other than the five flow paths 312 of the first flow path group 312a intersect with an imaginary plane P2, which passes through the central axis DX of the protruding portion of any one of the flow paths 312 and is perpendicular to the rotation axis AX (refer to Fig.17 The set of four flow paths 312 having such a positional relationship is referred to as a second flow path group 312b. That is, the second flow path group 312b is arranged offset relative to the first flow path group 312a in the direction along the rotation axis AX.

[0093] like Fig.19 As shown, at least one flow path 312 in each of the first flow path group 312a and the second flow path group 312b is connected to the first valve chamber 316 (an example of a valve chamber) via the first flow hole 316a (an example of an inlet or an outlet) and the second flow hole 316b (an example of an inlet or an outlet). The axis core (not shown) of the first flow hole 316a and the axis core (not shown) of the second flow hole 316b are at different height positions in the direction along the rotation axis AX.

[0094] In the manifold 302 of this embodiment, as Figure 17 to Figure 19 As shown, the first rotary valve 340, the second rotary valve 350, the first water pump 360 and the second water pump 370 are all installed on the first housing 310. The first rotary valve 340 and the first water pump 360 are arranged adjacent to each other, and the second rotary valve 350 and the second water pump 370 are arranged adjacent to each other. The rotation axis AX of the first rotary valve 340 and the rotation axis AX of the second rotary valve 350 are parallel, and the rotation axis BX of the first water pump 360 and the rotation axis BX of the second water pump 370 are parallel. Moreover, the rotation axis AX of the first rotary valve 340 and the second rotary valve 350 and the rotation axis BX of the first water pump 360 and the second water pump 370 are perpendicular to each other. Only a portion of the multiple flow paths 312 is formed in the second housing 330 (refer to Fig. 20 ).

[0095] The first rotary valve 340 includes a first actuator 341, a first valve body 342 (an example of a valve body), a first valve chamber 316, and a plurality of reserve chambers 314 (an example of an inflow reserve chamber or an outflow reserve chamber) formed around the first valve chamber 316. The second rotary valve 350 includes a second actuator 351, a second valve body 352 (an example of a valve body), a second valve chamber 318 (an example of a valve chamber), and a plurality of reserve chambers 314 formed around the second valve chamber 318. The first valve chamber 316 and the second valve chamber 318 accommodate the entire first valve body 342 and the second valve body 352, respectively. The first valve chamber 316 and the second valve chamber 318 are arranged in a central area 310b formed in the first housing 310 and located between a pair of opposing outer walls 310a and between the first water pump 360 and the second water pump 370.

[0096] The first actuator 341 and the second actuator 351 are exposed on the surface of the first housing 310. The first valve body 342 is the same as the valve body 6A of the rotary valve 6 of the second embodiment, and is divided into a plurality of (in the present embodiment, two) spaces in the circumferential direction by the connecting plate 342a, and at least one (in the present embodiment, one) of the spaces is further divided into a plurality of (in the present embodiment, two) spaces in the direction along the rotating axis AX by the partition plate 342b. The space separated by the connecting plate 342a and having no partition plate 342b inside is called the first valve space 342c, and the space separated by the connecting plate 342a and the partition plate 342b is called the second valve space 342d and the third valve space 342e (see Fig.18 ). In addition, the second valve body 352 is also divided into three valve spaces like the first valve body 342. In addition, the first flow hole 316a and the second flow hole 316b are connected to each other when facing the first valve space 342c of the first valve body 342, and when there is a partition plate 342b in between, they are respectively facing any one of the second valve space 342d and the third valve space 342e, and are not connected to each other.

[0097] A plurality of the reserve chambers 314 are formed between the flow path 312 and the first valve chamber 316, and between the flow path 312 and the second valve chamber 318, and the flow path 312 and the first valve chamber 316, and the flow path 312 and the second valve chamber 318 are connected via the reserve chambers 314. The reserve chamber 314 is a concept that includes both an inflow reserve chamber connected to the inflow path and an outflow reserve chamber connected to the outflow path. In the present embodiment, the reserve chamber 314 is arranged in all the flow paths 312 connected to the first valve chamber 316 and all the flow paths 312 connected to the second valve chamber 318. The plurality of flow paths 312 and the plurality of reserve chambers 314 are radially arranged to surround each of the first valve chamber 316 and the second valve chamber 318.

[0098] like Fig. 20 As shown, a first partition wall 324 (an example of a partition wall) is formed in the first housing 310 to separate two adjacent ones of the flow path 312, the first valve chamber 316, the second valve chamber 318, the preliminary chamber 314, the first vortex chamber 320, and the second vortex chamber 322. The first housing 310 is composed only of the flow path 312, the first valve chamber 316, the second valve chamber 318, the preliminary chamber 314, the first vortex chamber 320, the second vortex chamber 322, and the first partition wall 324.

[0099] The second housing 330 is provided with a second partition wall 332 (an example of a partition wall) that partitions a portion of the plurality of flow paths 312 formed in the second housing 330 and two adjacent ones of the reserve chamber 314. The manifold 302 is formed by joining the first partition wall 324 of the first housing 310 and the second partition wall 332 of the second housing 330.

[0100] [Fourth embodiment]

[0101] Next, use Fig.21 , Fig. 22 A cooling module 400 using the first rotary valve 440 (an example of a cooling module valve) and the second rotary valve 450 (an example of a cooling module valve) of the fourth embodiment will be described. The cooling module 400 of this embodiment has a different flow path structure from the cooling modules 10, 20, and 300 of the above-mentioned embodiments.

[0102] The cooling module 400 of the present embodiment includes a first rotary valve 440, a second rotary valve 450, a first water pump 460 (an example of a water pump), a second water pump 470 (an example of a water pump), and a manifold 402 having a plurality of flow paths 412 through which cooling water flows. The manifold 402 is formed by joining a plurality of housings together, and in the present embodiment, is formed by joining a first housing 410 and a second housing 430. In addition, the plurality of flow paths 412 is a concept including both an inflow path through which cooling water flows into the first rotary valve 440 or the second rotary valve 450, and an outflow path through which cooling water flows out of the first rotary valve 440 or the second rotary valve 450. In addition, the plurality of flow paths 412 is a concept including all flow paths through which cooling water flows inside the manifold 402, such as a flow path formed only in the first housing 410, a flow path formed only in the second housing 430, and a flow path formed from the first housing 410 across the second housing 430.

[0103] In the manifold 402 of the present embodiment, the first rotary valve 440 and the second rotary valve 450 are mounted on the first housing 410, and the first water pump 460 and the second water pump 470 are mounted on the second housing 430. The rotation axis AX of the first rotary valve 440, the rotation axis AX of the second rotary valve 450, the rotation axis BX of the first water pump 360, and the rotation axis BX of the second water pump 370 are all parallel.

[0104] like Fig. 22 As shown, the first rotary valve 440 includes a first actuator 441, a first valve body 442 (an example of a valve body), a first valve chamber 416 (an example of a valve chamber), and a preliminary chamber 414 formed around the first valve chamber 416. The second rotary valve 450 includes a second actuator 451, a second valve body 452 (an example of a valve body), a second valve chamber 418 (an example of a valve chamber), and a preliminary chamber 414 formed around the second valve chamber 418. The first valve chamber 416, the second valve chamber 418, and the preliminary chamber 414 are formed in the first housing 410. The first valve chamber 416 and the second valve chamber 418 respectively accommodate the entirety of the first valve body 442 and the second valve body 452. The first actuator 441 and the second actuator 451 are exposed on the surface of the first housing 410.

[0105] The reserve chamber 414 is formed between the flow path 412 and the first valve chamber 416 and between the flow path 412 and the second valve chamber 418, and the flow path 412 and the first valve chamber 416, and the flow path 412 and the second valve chamber 418 are connected via the reserve chamber 414. The reserve chamber 414 is a concept that includes both an inflow reserve chamber connected to the inflow path and an outflow reserve chamber connected to the outflow path. In the present embodiment, the reserve chamber 414 is arranged between all the first valve chambers 416 and the flow path 412 and between all the second valve chambers 418 and the flow path 412.

[0106] The first valve chamber 416 of the first rotary valve 440 and the second valve chamber 418 of the second rotary valve 450 formed in the first housing 410 communicate with each other through a valve communication passage 424 (an example of a flow passage).

[0107] [Other Implementation Methods]

[0108] In the above-mentioned embodiments, each of the auxiliary chambers is formed across the first shell and the second shell, but may be formed only in the first shell or only in the second shell.

[0109] In the fourth embodiment, the first valve chamber 416 of the first rotary valve 440 and the second valve chamber 318 of the second rotary valve 450 are connected via the reserve chamber 414 and the valve communication passage 424, but the valve communication passage 424 may not be provided and the valve chamber 416 and the second valve chamber 318 of the second rotary valve 450 may be connected only via the reserve chamber 414. Alternatively, the valve communication passage 424 and the reserve chamber 414 may be not provided.

[0110] The following structures are conceivable based on the above-mentioned embodiment.

[0111] (1) One embodiment of a valve for a cooling module is a valve for a cooling module that switches between a plurality of flow paths, including an inlet path and an outlet path of a fluid flowing in a cooling module, and comprises: a valve chamber for allowing the fluid flowing in the inlet path to flow in and for allowing the fluid flowing in the outlet path to flow out; a valve body that is accommodated in the valve chamber and switches between the plurality of flow paths; and at least one of at least one inlet preparation chamber disposed adjacent to the valve chamber between the valve chamber and the inlet path and at least one outflow preparation chamber disposed adjacent to the valve chamber between the valve chamber and the outlet path.

[0112] According to this embodiment, since at least one of the inflow preparation chamber disposed between the valve chamber and the inflow path and the outflow preparation chamber disposed between the valve chamber and the outflow path is provided, the fluid flows into the valve chamber via the inflow preparation chamber and flows out of the valve chamber via the outflow preparation chamber.

[0113] (2) In another embodiment of the cooling module, the heights in the rotation axis direction of the valve body of at least one of the plurality of the inlet preparation chambers and the outlet from the valve chamber to the outflow preparation chamber and the outlet from the outflow preparation chamber to the outflow path, or the inlet from the inlet path to the inlet preparation chamber and the inlet from the inlet preparation chamber to the valve chamber, are different.

[0114] According to the present embodiment, the height of the auxiliary chamber can be raised and changed, and the arrangement of the inflow path and the outflow path can be freely set.

[0115] (3) In another embodiment of the valve for a cooling module, the valve chamber has an inlet connected to the inlet preparation chamber and an outlet connected to the outlet preparation chamber, and the axis of the inlet and the axis of the outlet are arranged on the same plane.

[0116] According to the present embodiment, since the heights of the inlet and the outlet can be made equal, the height of the cooling module valve can be reduced, and the cooling module can be miniaturized.

[0117] (4) In another embodiment of the cooling module valve, at least one of the inflow passage and the outflow passage is arranged so as not to overlap with the inflow port and the outflow port in a side view.

[0118] According to this embodiment, at least one of the inlet and the outflow path is configured not to overlap with the inlet and the outlet in a side view, so the height of the inlet and the inlet and / or the height of the outflow path and the outlet can be made different, thereby increasing the freedom of wiring of the inlet and the outflow path.

[0119] (5) In another embodiment of the cooling module valve, at least one of the inflow reserve chamber and the outflow reserve chamber is formed across a plurality of resin cases.

[0120] According to the present embodiment, the degree of freedom of the shape (size, height) of the inflow preparation chamber and / or the outflow preparation chamber is improved, and the degree of freedom of the wiring of the inflow path and the outflow path can be improved.

[0121] (6) In another embodiment of the cooling module valve, at least one of the outflow passages communicates with the other of the outflow passages in the cooling module, and the outflow passage is formed across a plurality of resin cases.

[0122] According to the present embodiment, by forming the communication flow path across the plurality of resin cases, communication can be achieved even if other flow paths are formed in a single resin case.

[0123] (7) In another embodiment of the cooling module valve, the valve body is entirely accommodated in the valve chamber.

[0124] According to this embodiment, since the valve body does not protrude from the valve chamber, the cooling module valve can be miniaturized.

[0125] (8) In another embodiment of the valve for cooling module, the valve body rotates around the rotation axis and is divided into a plurality of valve spaces in the circumferential direction by a connecting plate, and at least one of the valve spaces is further divided into a plurality of valve spaces in the direction of the rotation axis by a partition plate.

[0126] According to this embodiment, two valves that are originally required can be integrated into one. In addition, due to the presence of the partition plate, multiple independent flow paths can be formed in the direction of the rotation axis. In addition, the valve space without the partition plate can connect ports at different height positions in the valve body, so the valve can be designed compactly.

[0127] (9) In another embodiment of the cooling module valve, the valve chamber includes an inlet and an outlet whose axial height positions are different in a direction along the rotation axis.

[0128] According to this embodiment, since the valve chamber has the inlet and the outlet at different height positions of the axis in the direction along the rotation axis, the valve can be designed compactly.

[0129] (10) In another embodiment of the cooling module valve, the inflow reserve chamber and the outflow reserve chamber are arranged between the valve chamber and all of the inflow passages, and between the valve chamber and all of the outflow passages.

[0130] According to this embodiment, the heights of the inflow path and the inlet of the valve chamber and / or the heights of the outflow path and the outlet of the valve chamber can be made different, so the degree of freedom in wiring the inflow path and the outflow path can be increased.

[0131] (11) An embodiment of a cooling module comprises: a manifold formed by joining a plurality of resin shells; a cooling module valve housed in the manifold and switching a plurality of flow paths; and a water pump for pumping fluid flowing in the flow path, the cooling module valve having a valve body, a valve chamber housing the valve body, and a preparatory chamber disposed between the valve chamber and the flow path and adjacent to the valve chamber, wherein at least a vortex chamber is formed in the plurality of flow paths, the valve chamber, the preparatory chamber, and the water pump in the resin shell, and the resin shell is composed only of the flow path, the valve chamber, the preparatory chamber, the vortex chamber, and a partition wall separating them.

[0132] According to this embodiment, the above-mentioned effect (1) can be achieved, and the manifold can be miniaturized.

[0133] (12) An embodiment of a cooling module comprises: a manifold, which is formed by joining a plurality of resin shells; and a valve for a cooling module, which is housed in the manifold and switches a plurality of flow paths, the valve for the cooling module having a valve chamber, and a reserve chamber arranged between the valve chamber and the flow path and adjacent to the valve chamber, a plurality of the flow paths, the valve chamber and the reserve chamber are formed in the resin shell, the valve chamber includes a first valve chamber and a second valve chamber, and the resin shell has a valve connecting path that connects the first valve chamber with the second valve chamber.

[0134] According to the present embodiment, the above-mentioned effect of (1) can be achieved, and the fluid can flow between the first valve chamber and the second valve chamber via the valve communication passage.

[0135] (13) An embodiment of a cooling module comprises: a manifold, which is formed by joining a plurality of resin shells through a joining surface; and a valve for a cooling module, which is housed in the above-mentioned manifold and switches a plurality of flow paths, the above-mentioned valve for the cooling module having a valve body that rotates around a rotating shaft core, and a valve chamber that houses the above-mentioned valve body, a plurality of the above-mentioned flow paths and the above-mentioned valve chamber are formed in the above-mentioned resin shell, at least a portion of the plurality of the above-mentioned flow paths has a portion protruding outward from the above-mentioned resin shell, and the plurality of the above-mentioned flow paths having a portion protruding outward from the above-mentioned resin shell have: a collection of a portion of the above-mentioned flow paths, namely a first flow path group, and a collection of the plurality of the above-mentioned flow paths that are not included in the above-mentioned first flow path group and are arranged to be offset in the direction along the above-mentioned rotating shaft core relative to the above-mentioned first flow path group.

[0136] According to the present embodiment, a plurality of flow paths are arranged at different height positions, so that the cooling module can be made compact.

[0137] (14) In one embodiment of the cooling module, the valve body of the cooling module valve rotates around the rotating axis core and is divided into a plurality of valve spaces in the circumferential direction by a connecting plate, and at least one of the valve spaces is further divided into a plurality of valve spaces by a partition plate in the direction of the rotating axis core.

[0138] According to this embodiment, two valves that are originally required can be integrated into one. In addition, due to the presence of the partition plate, multiple independent flow paths can be formed in the direction of the rotation axis. In addition, the valve space without the partition plate can connect ports at different height positions in the valve body, so the valve can be designed compactly and the cooling module can be miniaturized.

[0139] (15) In another embodiment of the cooling module, the valve chamber includes an inlet and an outlet whose axial height positions are different in a direction along the rotation axis.

[0140] According to this embodiment, the valve chamber has the inlet and the outlet at different height positions along the axis of rotation, so the valve can be designed compactly and the cooling module can be miniaturized.

[0141] (16) In one embodiment of the cooling module, the valve chamber is disposed in a central region between a pair of opposing outer walls in the resin casing.

[0142] According to this embodiment, the valve chamber is arranged near the center of the resin housing, so it is easy to form a structure in which the flow path or the reserve chamber is adjacent to the valve chamber, and there is no dead space in the resin housing, which can achieve miniaturization. In addition, compared with the form in which the valve chamber is arranged at the end of the resin housing, the flow path can be relatively shortened.

[0143] (17) In one embodiment of the cooling module, the flow path, the inflow reserve chamber, and the outflow reserve chamber are radially arranged to surround the valve chamber.

[0144] According to this embodiment, since the flow path and the reserve chamber are arranged so as to surround the valve chamber, there is no dead space in the resin case, thereby achieving miniaturization.

[0145] Possibility of industrial application
