Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a structure of a vehicle body. Background Art
[0002] With the recent development of electric vehicles, the weight of the vehicle has increased due to the high-voltage battery components loaded in the vehicle. Since the high-voltage battery components are installed in the limited floor packaging space, the impact load to be borne by the side beams constituting the vehicle body in the event of a collision increases. In addition, the vehicle body structure reduces the crumple zone.
[0003] In order to protect the vehicle's components, such as the high-voltage battery, the body structure maintains the common skeleton of the vehicle as much as possible, and the rigidity against collision is enhanced by installing reinforcement members in the side sills.
[0004] However, the vehicle body structure has a problem in that the manufacturing cost and weight of the vehicle are increased due to the partial excessive installation of the reinforcing member. In addition, since the reinforcing member is installed inside the side beam, the rigidity at the opposite sides of the vehicle body structure where the side beam is installed is greatly increased, but the rigidity at the area of the vehicle body structure where the side beam is not installed is reduced. Therefore, when an impact load is applied to the area where the side beam is not installed, it is difficult to protect the components installed at the vehicle floor.
[0005] The above information disclosed in this Background section is only for enhancement of understanding of the background of the embodiments of the present disclosure and therefore it may contain information that does not form the prior art that is already known to a person of ordinary skill in the art. [0040] Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The embodiments of the present disclosure may be modified into various forms, and the scope of the embodiments of the present disclosure should not be interpreted as being limited to the following embodiments. These embodiments are provided to explain the present disclosure more comprehensively to those skilled in the art.
[0041] In addition, terms such as “...frame”, “...member”, “...frame”, “...beam”, etc. used in this specification all refer to a unit that processes at least one function or operation and can be implemented as hardware or a combination thereof.
[0042] The terms used herein are for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and are not intended to be limiting. A singular expression may include a plural expression unless it expresses a meaning clearly different from the context.
[0043] It should be understood that although the terms “first”, “second”, etc. may be used herein to describe various similar elements, these elements should not be construed as being limited by these terms. These terms are only used to distinguish one element from another.
[0044] In addition, in this specification, the direction of a component is referred to as the "longitudinal direction" or the "width direction" refers to the direction relative to the vehicle, and the longitudinal direction and the width direction refer to directions perpendicular to each other on a plane. In addition, the longitudinal direction of the vehicle refers to the front-rear direction, and the width direction of the vehicle refers to the left-right direction.
[0045] In addition, referring to the direction of components as “front” or “rear” in the present specification means forward or backward on the drawings and is not limited to the order thereof.
[0046] Hereinafter, the embodiments will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, and in the description given with reference to the accompanying drawings, the same or corresponding components are assigned the same reference numerals, and description thereof will not be repeated.
[0047] Figures 1 to 3 They are a perspective view, a bottom view, and a side view, respectively, showing a coupling relationship in the structure of a vehicle body 1 as an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0048] As shown in the drawings, the structure of the vehicle body 1 includes: a plurality of side beams 10 spaced apart from each other and respectively disposed at opposite sides of the vehicle body structure in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle; and a subframe 100 coupled to the side beams 10. The subframe 100 is disposed at a lower end portion of the vehicle body structure in the vertical direction relative to the side beams 10 and includes at least two mounting areas. In addition, longitudinal ends of the side beams 10 each include a rear beam 20.
[0049] In the case where the subframe 100 is disposed at the lower end of the side member 10 in the vertical direction, the subframe 100 includes: a plurality of subframe side members 110 coupled to the side member 10, the plurality of subframe side members being respectively disposed at opposite sides of the vehicle body structure in the longitudinal direction; a plurality of first crash boxes 120, each of which is disposed at an end of a corresponding one of the plurality of subframe side members 110 and is elongated in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle; and second crash boxes 130, each of which is spaced apart from a corresponding one of the plurality of first crash boxes 120 toward the vehicle interior and coupled to a front curved portion 111 of a corresponding one of the plurality of subframe side members 110. The first crash box 120 and the second crash box 130 may be disposed parallel to each other with respect to the width direction of the vehicle and may be disposed horizontally with respect to the vertical direction. In addition, the subframe 100 includes a subframe rear beam 140 coupled to an end of the first crash box 120 and to an end of the second crash box 130 .
[0050] The first and second crash boxes 120 and 130 have relatively low rigidity compared to the chassis constituting the subframe 100, and when an impact is applied in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the first and second crash boxes 120 and 130 absorb the impact before other components constituting the subframe 100 absorb the impact. Therefore, the subframe rear beam 140 may be recessed inwardly along the damaged areas of the first and second crash boxes 120 and 130.
[0051] The first and second crash boxes 120 and 130 have a predetermined space defined therebetween to allow the subframe rear beam 140 to be recessed into the space in response to an impact applied thereto. Therefore, even when an impact is applied in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle or in a direction at a predetermined angle to the longitudinal direction, the subframe rear beam 140 may be recessed into the space defined between the first and second crash boxes 120 and 130 and / or into the space defined between two second crash boxes 130 separated from each other.
[0052] The subframe side member 110 includes a front curved portion 111 that is bent outward at the front of the subframe side member 110 and coupled to the subframe rear member 140, and a rear curved portion 112 that is bent outward at the rear of the subframe side member 110 and coupled to the side member 10 at the rear of the vehicle body 1. The second crash box 130 is provided to extend forward at the inner end portion where the front curved portion 111 of the subframe side member 110 starts to bend, and the first crash box 120 is provided at one end portion of the front curved portion 111. The front curved portion 111 includes a front coupling portion 30, and the rear curved portion 112 includes a rear coupling portion 40. Here, both the front coupling portion 30 and the rear coupling portion 40 are coupled to the side member 10. More specifically, the vehicle body structure includes front mounting members 200 each disposed adjacent to a corresponding one of the plurality of front curved portions 111 and coupled to a corresponding one of the plurality of subframe side members 110 by extending vertically downward from a corresponding one of the plurality of side members 10 .
[0053] The front mounting member 200 is provided between the outer surface of the side member 10 and the upper surface of the sub-frame side member 110 .
[0054] In addition, the front mounting member 200 protrudes in the width direction of the side member 10 and is coupled to the sub-frame side member 110 .
[0055] More specifically, the subframe side member 110 protrudes outward so that the front link portion 30 of the subframe side member 110 protrudes outward more than the rear link portion 40 , and thus the front link portion 30 coupled to the front mounting member 200 protrudes outward more than the side member 10 .
[0056] The front end portion of the subframe rear beam 140 integrally coupled to the end portion of the first crash box 120 and coupled to the end portion of the second crash box 130 may be on the same line as the front end portion of the rear beam 20, and the subframe rear beam 140 may be disposed lower than the rear beam 20. In addition, the rear beam 20 and the subframe rear beam 140 may extend in the width direction of the vehicle and have the same curvature when viewed from the bottom.
[0057] In addition, the subframe side members 110 respectively arranged on opposite sides further include: a subframe front cross member 150 extending in the width direction of the vehicle, and having opposite ends thereof respectively arranged at the starting point of the front curved portion 111; and a subframe rear cross member 160 extending in the width direction of the vehicle, and having opposite ends thereof respectively connected to the inner starting point of the rear curved portion 112.
[0058] The subframe front cross member 150 and the subframe rear cross member 160 , which are spaced apart from each other in the front-rear direction and configured to enhance lateral rigidity, are coupled to components such as a floor, a fuel tank, and a battery to protect these components.
[0059] Furthermore, the subframe front cross member 150 and the subframe rear cross member 160 coupled to the subframe side members 110 may perform a function of enhancing lateral rigidity in response to an impact applied to the front portion of the vehicle body structure.
[0060] The subframe front cross member 150 and the subframe rear cross member 160 are integrally formed with the subframe side member 110, and the subframe front cross member and the subframe rear cross member are parallel to each other. In addition, the area of the subframe side member 110 where the subframe front cross member 150 is provided includes a front curved portion 111. Therefore, the second crash box 130, the front mounting member 200, and the subframe front cross member 150 can be integrally coupled to each other at the inner end of the front curved portion 111.
[0061] Figure 4 1 is a side sectional view of a region where a side member 10 and a subframe 100 as an embodiment of the present disclosure are coupled to each other.
[0062] Figure 4 is along Figure 3 The side cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 1 shows the sub-frame side member 110 coupled to the lower end portion of the side member 10 .
[0063] The side member 10 and the sub-frame side member 110 are coupled to each other using the front mounting member 200. The front mounting member 200 is coupled to the lower end portion of the side member 10, and the sub-frame side member 110 is fixed to the lower end portion of the front mounting member 200. More specifically, the front mounting member 200 and the sub-frame side member 110 are coupled to each other through the front coupling portion 30 of the sub-frame side member 110. In other words, the lower end portion of the front mounting member 200 may be coupled to the front coupling portion 30 passing through the sub-frame side member 110, and the upper end portion of the front mounting member 200 may surround at least a portion of the side surface of the side member 10.
[0064] Furthermore, the width of the front mounting member 200 at the position where the front mounting member 200 is coupled to the outer surface of the side member 10 is greater than the width of the front mounting member 200 at the position where the front mounting member 200 is coupled to the sub-frame side member 110. In other words, the front mounting members 200 are bent in the vertical downward direction to be adjacent to each other.
[0065] The rear link portion 40 is directly coupled to the side member 10, and the front link portion 30 allows the sub-frame side member 110 to be coupled to the side member 10 through the front mounting member 200, and as shown in FIG. Figure 3 As shown in FIG. 1 , the subframe side member 110 is disposed in a direction parallel to the side member 10 .
[0066] As one embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 5aThe direction of the impact applied to the vehicle body 1 when the impact is applied to the rear beam 20 and the subframe rear beam 140 , both of which are provided at one end of the vehicle body 1 , is shown.
[0067] As shown in the drawings, when an impact in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is applied to the rear beam 20 and the subframe rear beam 140 , both of which are provided at the outer side of the vehicle body 1 , the impact is applied along the first crash box 120 and the second crash box 130 .
[0068] Furthermore, the impact applied to the subframe rear beam 140 passes through the first and second crash boxes 120 and 130 and moves along the subframe side beams 110 , and the impact applied to the rear beam 20 is transmitted to the vehicle body 1 along the side beams 10 in the longitudinal direction.
[0069] Furthermore, since the rear beam 20 and the subframe rear beam 140 are provided at the same position at the end of the vehicle body 1 , an impact in the longitudinal direction can be simultaneously applied to the side beam 10 and the subframe 100 in the vertical direction.
[0070] Therefore, an impact applied to the structure of the vehicle body 1 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure in the longitudinal direction is distributed to the subframe 100 and the side member 10 disposed at different heights.
[0071] Figure 5b The vehicle body structure is shown when a small overlap impact is applied to the structure of the vehicle body 1 .
[0072] As shown in the drawing, when an impact is applied from the upper right in the drawing, the first crash box 120 adjacent to the position where the impact is applied is damaged, and the subframe rear beam 140 is recessed into a space defined between the first crash box 120 and the second crash box 130 .
[0073] Furthermore, the impact applied to the subframe side member 110 in response to the impact applied in the width direction is distributed by the subframe front cross member 150 provided at the front curved portion 111 and the subframe rear cross member 160 provided at the rear curved portion 112 .
[0074] like Figure 5a and Figure 5b As shown, in response to an impact applied in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the first and second crash boxes 120 and 130 first absorb the impact, and then the impact transmitted therethrough is distributed to the vehicle via the subframe side member 110 and the side member 10 .
[0075] Furthermore, in response to an impact in the width direction, the subframe front cross member 150 and the subframe rear cross member 160 provide lateral rigidity and distribute the impact to opposite sides in the width direction.
[0076] As is apparent from the above description, the embodiments of the present disclosure can obtain the following effects through the configurations, combinations, and operational relationships described together with the embodiments.
[0077] An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a crash box structure capable of absorbing longitudinal impact energy generated by a collision occurring on a vehicle using a vehicle body structure including a subframe.
[0078] Furthermore, embodiments of the present disclosure provide a subframe structure that absorbs shock in response to a small overlap collision.
[0079] The specific embodiments are merely illustrations of exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. In addition, the above description shows and describes preferred embodiments of the present disclosure, but the embodiments of the present disclosure may be used in various other combinations, modifications, and environments. In other words, within the conceptual scope of the embodiments of the present disclosure disclosed herein, within the scope equivalent to the described disclosure, and / or within the scope of the technology or knowledge in the art, the embodiments may be modified or modified.
