Description

Technical Field

[0001] The invention relates to a rotating electric machine. Background Art

[0002] The stator of a rotating electric machine generates heat due to copper loss and iron loss. Therefore, a method of circulating a coolant in the stator is sometimes used for cooling. Regarding this method, one proposal is to provide a groove that functions as a flow path for the coolant on the conductor in the slot along the length direction of the conductor, and to directly cool the conductor using the coolant flowing in the groove (Patent Document 1).

[0004] (Patent Document)

[0005] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent No. 7139969 Summary of the invention

[0006] [Problems to be solved by the invention]

[0007] However, it is difficult to form a groove on the conductor itself to function as a flow path for the coolant using the method disclosed in Patent Document 1. In addition, even if the groove is provided, there is still a concern that the coolant may not flow around the conductor to improve the cooling effect.

[0008] The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a rotating electrical machine which is easy to manufacture and has high cooling efficiency for a stator.

[0009] [Technical means to solve the problem]

[0010] (1) A rotating electric machine (e.g., a rotating electric machine 1 described below) of the present disclosure includes a stator core (e.g., a stator core 6 described below) in which a plurality of flat conductors (e.g., flat conductors 8 described below) are arranged in slots (e.g., slots 7 described below), wherein a specific shape portion (e.g., a specific shape portion 8S described below) in which a thickness dimension in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the flat conductors is relatively thin in one direction (e.g., one direction CW) and relatively thick in another direction (e.g., another direction EW described below) is formed in a portion other than the specific shape portion. The rotating electric machine comprises: a first coolant flow path (for example, a first coolant flow path 21a described below), wherein a plurality of the specific shape portions of the plurality of the flat conductors are arranged in parallel in the slot in a manner adjacent to each other, thereby forming the first coolant flow path between the regular shape portions of the plurality of the flat conductors; and a second coolant flow path (for example, a second coolant flow path 21b described below) formed between the specific shape portions of the plurality of the flat conductors and the inner wall of the slot.

[0011] (2) A rotating electric machine according to (1) above, wherein the first coolant flow path is a coolant flow path formed between the regular shape parts by connecting the relatively thick portions (EW) in the specific shape parts stacked and adjacent to each other in the slot 7 in the stacking direction.

[0012] (3) A rotating electric machine according to (1) above, wherein the second coolant flow path 21b is a coolant flow path formed between the inner wall of the slot 7 and the specific shape portion 8S by connecting the relatively thin portions (CW) of the thickness dimension in the specific shape portion 8S stacked and adjacent to each other in the slot 7 in the stacking direction.

[0013] (Effects of the Invention)

[0014] In the rotating electrical machine of (1) above, a plurality of the flat conductors are arranged in parallel in the slot so that the specific shape portions are adjacent to each other, thereby forming a first coolant flow path between the normal shape portions of the plurality of flat conductors and a second coolant flow path between the specific shape portions of the plurality of flat conductors and the inner wall of the slot. Therefore, for example, even if the insulating paper disposed between the inner wall of the slot and the straight portion of the flat conductor contains a foaming material, when a plurality of flat conductors are arranged in the slot, the first coolant flow path between the adjacent flat conductors can be ensured, and the second coolant flow path between the inner wall of the slot (including insulating members such as insulating paper) and the flat conductors can be ensured, and the second coolant flow path is connected to the first coolant flow path. By the coolant flowing in these coolant flow paths, the flat conductors can be efficiently cooled when the rotating electrical machine 1 is operating.

[0015] In the rotating electrical machine of (2) above, the first coolant flow path is a coolant flow path formed between the regular shape parts by connecting the relatively thick portions of the specific shape parts that are arranged in parallel in the slot and are adjacent to each other in the stacking direction. Therefore, the coolant flow path as the first coolant flow path can be ensured between the regular shape parts of the flat conductor, and the cooling of the flat conductor can be promoted by the coolant flowing in the coolant flow path.

[0016] In the rotating electrical machine of (3) above, the second coolant flow path is a coolant flow path formed between the inner wall of the slot and the specific shape portion by connecting the relatively thin portions of the specific shape portions arranged in parallel in the slot in a plurality of adjacent portions in the slot in the stacking direction. Thus, the coolant flow path between the inner wall of the slot and the specific shape portion of the flat conductor as the second coolant flow path can be ensured, and the coolant flowing in the second coolant flow path can flow smoothly to the first coolant flow path, thereby promoting cooling of the entire flat conductor. [0042] The rotating electrical machine of the present disclosure is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In each of the following drawings, the same symbols are attached to corresponding parts. In addition, with respect to the drawings with directions, AD represents the axial direction of the rotating electrical machine, CD represents the circumferential direction of the rotating electrical machine, and RD represents the radial direction of the rotating electrical machine.

[0043] Figure 1 1 is a conceptual diagram of a coolant circulation mechanism in a rotary electric machine 1 as an example of the present disclosure. Figure 1 In the embodiment, the rotary electric machine 1 includes a rotor 2 and a stator 3. The rotor 2 is cylindrical, and the stator 3 having a ring-shaped cross section is arranged around the rotor 2 with a predetermined gap.

[0044] A housing 4 constituting the outer shell of the rotating electrical machine 1 is provided in contact with the outer periphery of the stator 3. The rotating shaft 5 passes through the rotation center of the rotor 2, and the rotating shaft 5 is supported by bearings (not shown) at both end surfaces of the housing 4 in the axial direction. The stator core 6 in the annular stator 3 has a plurality of slots 7 arranged in parallel and at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. A plurality of flat conductors 8 are arranged in each of the plurality of slots 7. The flat conductors (square conductors) 8 having a rectangular cross-section are electrically connected to form a stator coil 9 arranged in the stator core 6. An insulating component 11 is provided along the inner wall surface 10 of each of the plurality of slots 7. As the insulating component 11, for example, an insulating paper having an adhesive layer having a foamed adhesive layer on one side and a non-foamed layer on the other side can be used. In addition, the adhesive layer can be in a form formed only in the corresponding portion.

[0045] The rotating electric machine 1 generates heat due to copper loss and iron loss, and the stator core 6 and the stator coil 9 are cooled by the coolant circulating in the coolant flow path 12 formed in the stator 3, which will be described later. As the coolant, for example, automatic transmission fluid (ATF) can be applied. The coolant from the coolant reservoir 13 provided in the housing 4 is supplied to the suction side of the pump 15 through the filter 14. The coolant is cooled by heat exchange with the coolant flowing through the external coolant flow path 17 by the heat exchanger 16 provided on the output side of the pump 15, and is supplied to the coolant supply port 19 of the stator core 6 through the coolant supply passage 18. The coolant supplied to the stator core 6 flows while cooling the stator core 6 and the flat conductors 8 in the slots 7 along the path described later, and is recovered to the coolant reservoir 13, and is repeatedly recycled.

[0046] Figure 2 It is shown Figure 1 FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of an example of a coolant flow path 12 from the stator core 6 to the stator coil 9 in the slot 7 in the rotating electrical machine 1 . Figure 3 It is shown Figure 1 Schematic diagram of another example of the coolant flow path 12 from the stator core 6 to the stator coil 9 in the rotating electrical machine 1. Figure 2 A coolant flow path 12 is formed which extends from the housing 4 side of the stator 3 through a stator core inner coolant flow path 20 provided in the stator core 6 and reaches the stator coil 9 of the slot 7 .

[0047] Figure 2The coolant flow path 12 is configured such that a coolant supply port 19 of the housing 4 and an outer peripheral end portion of the slot 7 are communicated with a stator core inner coolant flow path 20 provided in the stator core 6 . Figure 2 The stator core inner coolant flow path 20 of the coolant flow path 12 extends straightly from the coolant supply port 19 of the housing 4 toward the radial inner side to the outer peripheral end of the slot 7, and communicates with a first coolant flow path 21a described later. The first coolant flow path 21a communicates with a second coolant flow path 21b along the length direction of the straight portion of the rectangular conductor.

[0048] on the other hand, Figure 3 The stator core inner coolant flow path 20 in the coolant flow path 12 extends axially from the coolant supply port 19 provided at the side end near the outer periphery of the stator core 6, changes direction radially inward at the middle position of the thickness dimension of the stator core 6 and reaches the outer periphery side end of the slot 7, and communicates with the first coolant flow path 21a described later. The first coolant flow path 21a is connected to the second coolant flow path 21b along the length direction of the straight portion of the flat conductor 8. In addition, Figure 3 The position of the stator core inner coolant flow path 20 on the way to the radial inner side is different from that in the circumferential direction (with Figure 3 The cooling liquid bypass communication channel 21 formed in the direction intersecting the paper surface) is connected.

[0049] Here, refer to Figure 4A , Figure 4B , Figure 4C The rectangular conductor 8 constituting the stator coil 9 will be described. Figure 4A This is a diagram showing one step in an example of a method for manufacturing the rectangular conductor 8 for the stator coil 9 used in the rotating electrical machine 1 . Figure 4B This is a diagram showing the next step in an example of the method for manufacturing the rectangular conductor 8 . Figure 4C This is a diagram illustrating the next step in an example of the method for manufacturing the rectangular conductor 8 .

[0050] In this manufacturing method, first, prepare Figure 4A As in the example, the flat conductor 8 has a rectangular cross-sectional shape and a fixed size over the entire length. Figure 4A The flat conductor 8 in the stator coil 9 is covered with an insulating film like a general flat conductor. Next, when the flat conductor 8 is formed as a stator coil 9, a press is used to press the middle part of the straight portion to be arranged in the slot 7. By this pressurization, Figure 4B As shown, the middle portion is crushed and deformed, and the thickness dimension in the direction perpendicular to the length direction of the flat conductor 8 is relatively thin in one direction ( Figure 4B , dimension CW) and relatively thick in the other direction ( Figure 4BThe inventors have verified that even if Figure 4B Even if the rectangular conductor 8 is locally pressed and deformed by a press as shown, the insulating film will not be damaged.

[0051] In this case, the normal shape portion 8N of the rectangular conductor 8, which is not the specific shape portion 8S, is not crushed by the press machine but is maintained. Figure 4A In the initial form as in the figure, the cross-section is rectangular and fixed over the entire length, and the size is also fixed as before. Figure 4B The flat conductor 8 is formed as Figure 4C As shown in FIG. 1 , a plurality of the specific shape portions 8S are arranged in parallel in the slot 7 in such a manner that the positions of the specific shape portions 8S are mutually consistent. Each end side of the flat conductor 8 (regular shape portion 8N) arranged in parallel in this way obtains a predetermined electrical connection relationship and functions as a stator coil 9. Since the flat conductor 8 is not a component having a special slot along the length direction, it is easy to manufacture. In addition, as another solution, the following method can also be considered: Figure 4A In the stage, a component without an insulating film is prepared as a flat conductor 8. For the flat conductor 8, Figure 4B As shown, after local pressure is applied by a press to deform the welded part, an insulating film is applied (coated) to the part other than the welded part.

[0052] As described above, by using the flat conductor 8 having the special shape portion 8S formed between the normal shape portions 8N, a coolant flow path around the stator coil 9 is formed. Figure 5 , Figure 6 and Figure 7 , the coolant flow path around the stator coil 9 is described.

[0053] Figure 5 It is shown Figure 2 and Figure 3 Schematic diagram of the coolant flow path within the box IS. Figure 6 The AA line section is used to draw the Figure 5 Schematic diagram of the coolant flow path. Figure 7 It is drawn using the BB line section. Figure 5 Schematic diagram of the coolant flow path. Figure 6 In the portion of the slot 7, the specific shape portions 8S of the flat conductors 8 are overlapped and arranged without any gaps in the radial direction of the slot 7. Figure 6 In the specific shape portion 8S Figure 4BThe relatively thicker portion of the dimension CW and the dimension EW overlaps radially in the slot 7. In this state, the gaps generated between the two sides of the specific shape portion 8S of each rectangular conductor 8 (the two sides of the relatively thinner portion of the dimension CW) and the inner wall of the slot 7 constitute the second coolant flow path 21b. Figure 6 As schematically shown on the right side of FIG. 2 , the coolant CL flows in the second coolant flow path 21 b from the radially outer side to the radially inner side.

[0054] On the other hand, Figure 7 In the slot 7, the regular shape portions 8N of the flat conductors 8 are arranged overlapping each other with gaps therebetween in the radial direction. Figure 7 In the specific shape portion 8S Figure 4B The relatively thicker portion of dimension EW between dimension CW and dimension EW, such as Figure 6 As a result, gaps are formed between the regular shape portions 8N of the rectangular conductor 8 that are not the special shape portions 8S. The gaps constitute the first coolant flow paths 21a. Figure 7 The portion schematically surrounded by a dotted line on the right side of is the first coolant flow path 21 a. The coolant CL flows in the axial direction of the rotary electric machine 1 through the plurality of first coolant flow paths 21 a.

[0055] Next, refer to Figure 8 , a rotating electrical machine 1 as another example of the present disclosure will be described. Figure 8 1 is a perspective view showing a stator 3 of a rotary electric machine 1 as another example of the present disclosure. In the rotary electric machine 1, a plurality of slots 7 are arranged in parallel and at equal intervals in the circumferential direction on a stator core 6 having an annular cross section. A plurality of flat conductors 8 are arranged in each of the plurality of slots 7. The flat conductors (square conductors) 8 having a rectangular cross section are electrically connected at their ends to form a stator coil 9.

[0056] Flat conductor 8 with reference Figure 4B , Figure 4C The flat conductors are the same as those described above. Figure 8 in the middle, near the front side) and the axial rear end side ( Figure 8In the embodiment of the present invention, the front cover member 22 and the rear cover member 23 are provided with an annular front cover member 22 and a rear cover member 23 covering the front end and the rear end of the stator coil 9. The front cover member 22 and the rear cover member 23 accommodate the connecting conductor parts of the front end and the rear end of the stator coil 9 inside, and constitute a part of the flow path of the coolant CL. That is, the coolant flow path 12 is constituted, and the coolant CL introduced into the front cover member 22 is annularly surrounded inside the front cover member 22, and reaches the rear cover member 23 through the first coolant flow path 21a (partially the second coolant flow path 21b) formed between the flat conductors 8 in the slot 7, and circulates through the coolant circulation channel not shown.

[0057] Fig. 9 It is shown Figure 8 FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of an example of a coolant flow path 12 in a slot 7 in a rotating electrical machine 1 . Fig.10 It is shown Fig. 9 Schematic diagram of the coolant flow path within the box IS. Fig.11 The AA line section is used to draw the Fig.10 Schematic diagram of the coolant flow path. Fig.12 It is drawn using the BB line section. Fig.10 Schematic diagram of the coolant flow path. Fig. 9 In the coolant flow path 12, the coolant CL introduced into the front cover component 22 reaches the rear cover component 23 side through the first coolant flow path 21a (partially the second coolant flow path 21b between the two sides of the flat conductor 8 and the inner wall of the slot 7) formed by the gaps between the flat conductors 8 (the regular shape portion 8N of the flat conductor 8), and returns to the circulation path not shown in the figure.

[0058] exist Fig.10 , Fig.11 and Fig.12 The formation of the first cooling liquid flow path 21a and the second cooling liquid flow path 21b, and the flow form of the cooling liquid CL in these first cooling liquid flow paths 21a and second cooling liquid flow paths 21b are similar to those in the reference Figure 5 , Figure 6 and Figure 7 The descriptions are roughly the same. Fig.10 , Fig.11 and Fig.12 In the description of the formation of the first cooling liquid flow path 21a and the second cooling liquid flow path 21b, and the flow form of the cooling liquid CL in these first cooling liquid flow path 21a and the second cooling liquid flow path 21b, the same as Figure 5 , Figure 6 and Figure 7 Related same instructions.

[0059] Fig.13 It is shown Figure 1 , Figure 8 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing another example of flat conductors arranged in slots of a rotating electrical machine. Fig.13 The flat conductor 81 in the example has two specific shape portions 81S in the straight portion arranged in the slot 7 of the rotating electrical machine 1. The regular shape portion 81N is connected between the two specific shape portions 81S and the two end sides of the straight portion. The specific shape portion 81S itself is the same as the above-mentioned specific shape portion 8S. In addition, the regular shape portion 81N itself is the same as the above-mentioned regular shape portion 8N. In this way, by making the flat conductor into a form having two specific shape portions 81S in the straight portion, two second coolant flow paths 21b can be formed radially in one slot 7. Therefore, the comprehensive flow tube resistance related to the coolant CL can be reduced, and the energy efficiency of the rotating electrical machine 1 can be improved.

[0060] Fig.14 It is shown Figure 1 , Figure 8 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing another example of flat conductors arranged in slots of a rotating electrical machine. Fig.14 The flat conductor 82 in the example has three specific shape portions 82S in the straight portion arranged in the slot 7 of the rotating electrical machine 1. The regular shape portion 82N is connected to the specific shape portions 82S in these three locations and to both ends of the straight portion. The specific shape portion 82S itself is the same as the above-mentioned specific shape portion 8S. In addition, the regular shape portion 82N itself is the same as the above-mentioned regular shape portion 8N. In this way, by making the flat conductor have the specific shape portion 82S in three locations in the straight portion, three radial second coolant flow paths 21b can be formed in one slot 7. Therefore, the comprehensive flow tube resistance related to the coolant CL can be reduced, and the energy efficiency of the rotating electrical machine 1 can be improved.

[0061] Here, refer to Fig.15A , Fig. 15B and Fig. 15C , another example of the method for manufacturing a flat conductor is described. Fig.15A It is shown Figure 1 , Figure 8 FIG. 1 is a diagram showing one process step in another example of a method for manufacturing a rectangular conductor 8 used in the rotating electrical machine 1 . Fig. 15B This is a diagram showing the next step in another example of the method for manufacturing the rectangular conductor 8 used in the rotating electrical machine 1 . Fig. 15C It is shown Figure 1 , Figure 8 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a further next step in another example of the method for manufacturing the rectangular conductor 8 used in the rotating electrical machine 1 .

[0062] In with Fig.15A , Fig. 15Band Fig. 15C In the related manufacturing method, first, prepare Fig.15A As in the example, a flat conductor 8 is selected whose cross-sectional shape is a rectangular shape and is constant over the entire length and whose size is also constant. In this case, as the flat conductor 8, a rectangular cross-sectional shape whose ratio of the long side to the short side is selected is Figure 4B A flat conductor having a ratio of EW to CW in the specific shape portion 8S.

[0063] Next, the flat conductor 8 is pressed by a press machine at both end portions of the straight portion to be arranged in the slot 7 except for the middle portion (middle position). Fig. 15B In FIG. 1 , the dotted circle PP shows the pressurized part. Fig. 15B As shown, the parts on both end sides are crushed and deformed to become equivalent to Figure 4A The rectangular cross-section portion of the regular shape portion 8N.

[0064] The special shape portion 8S of the rectangular conductor 8 which is not the regular shape portion 8N is not crushed by the press machine but maintains Fig.15A The initial form as in the example, that is, the cross-section is rectangular and fixed over the entire length, and the ratio of the short side to the long side in the rectangle is also fixed for Figure 4B The ratio of CW to EW is defined by the specific shape portion 8S.

[0065] In the next step, Fig. 15B The flat conductor 8 is formed as Fig. 15C As shown in FIG. 1 , a plurality of the specific shape portions 8S are arranged in parallel in the slot 7 so that the positions of the specific shape portions 8S are mutually matched. After that, the ends of the parallel arranged flat conductors 8 (regular shape portions 8N) are connected by welding or the like so as to obtain a predetermined electrical connection relationship, and are formed into a state in which they function as the stator coil 9. As described above, by using the flat conductor 8 having the specific shape portion 8S formed between the regular shape portions 8N, a coolant flow path around the stator coil 9 is formed. Since the flat conductor 8 is not a component having a special groove along the length direction, it is easy to manufacture.

[0066] Next, refer to Fig.16 and Fig.17 , an overall overview of one aspect of the flow path of the coolant CL in one slot 7 of the rotating electrical machine 1 of the present disclosure is given. Fig.16 It is shown Figures 5 to 7 0 is a perspective view of an example of the structure around the coolant flow path shown in FIG. Fig.17 Extract and draw Fig.16 A conceptual diagram of a portion of the coolant flow path in FIG. Figure 1To explain the outline, the coolant CL is supplied from the outside to the middle position in the axial direction of the stator core 6 of the rotating electrical machine 1 .

[0067] The supplied coolant CL flows radially inward in the second coolant flow paths 21 b formed at three locations in the middle of the slot 7 as gaps between the specific shape portions 8S of the rectangular conductors 8 radially stacked and arranged in the slot 7 and the inner wall of the slot 7. Fig.16 and Fig.17 In the example of FIG. 1 , the second coolant flow path 21 b is provided at three locations: the central position in the axial direction of the slot 7 and two positions away from the central position toward one end side and the other end side in the axial direction. In detail, the second coolant flow path 21 b is formed as a gap between the insulating member 11, that is, the insulating paper, and the outer surface of the rectangular conductor 8, and the insulating member 11 is in close contact with the inner wall of the slot 7.

[0068] The coolant CL flowing through the second coolant flow path 21b flows through the first coolant flow path 21a connected to the second coolant flow path 21b. The first coolant flow path 21a is formed along the longitudinal direction of the rectangular conductor 8 as a gap between the regular shape portions 8N of the rectangular conductor 8. The coolant CL flowing from the second coolant flow path 21b to the first coolant flow path 21a flows through the first coolant flow path 21a in the axial direction of the rotary electric machine 1.

[0069] The coolant CL branches from the second coolant flow path 21b at the axial center to one axial end side and the other end side of the first coolant flow path 21a. The coolant CL flowing through the second coolant flow path 21b and the first coolant flow path 21a exchanges heat with the rectangular conductor 8 while cooling the heat generated by copper loss. The coolant CL flows toward one axial end side and the other end side in the slot 7, and is discharged from both axial ends of the slot 7 and drips, flowing into the coolant reservoir 13 (see FIG. Figure 1 ) and is recycled as described above.

[0070] Next, refer to Fig.18 and Fig.19 , another aspect of the flow path of the coolant CL in one slot 7 of the rotating electrical machine 1 of the present disclosure is reviewed overall. Fig.18 It is shown Figures 5 to 7 0 is a perspective view of another example of the structure around the coolant flow path shown in . Fig.19 Extract and draw Fig.18 A conceptual diagram of a portion of the coolant flow path in FIG. Figure 1 To explain the outline, the coolant CL is supplied from the outside to the middle position in the axial direction of the stator core 6 of the rotating electrical machine 1 .

[0071] The supplied coolant CL flows radially inward in the second coolant flow paths 21 b, which are formed at three locations in the middle of the slot 7 as gaps between the specific shape portions 8S of the rectangular conductors 8 stacked and arranged in the radial direction in the slot 7 and the inner wall of the slot 7. Specifically, the second coolant flow paths 21 b are formed as gaps between the insulating member 11, that is, insulating paper, and the outer surface of the rectangular conductor 8, and the insulating member 11 is in close contact with the inner wall of the slot 7.

[0072] exist Fig.18 and Fig.19 In the example of , the following configuration is adopted: the axial phase position of the specific shape portion 8S of each flat conductor 8 is shifted in the axial direction as it goes from the outermost flat conductor 8 to the innermost flat conductor 8 in the radial direction. Therefore, in the slot 7, the second coolant flow path 21b formed from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side is tilted in the radial direction according to the axial phase shift of the specific shape portion 8S. This second coolant flow path 21b is provided to tilt as it goes from the axial center position of the outermost periphery of the slot 7 and two positions away from the center position to the axial one end side and the other end side toward the inner periphery.

[0073] The coolant CL flowing through the second coolant flow path 21b flows through the first coolant flow path 21a connected to the second coolant flow path 21b.

[0074] The coolant CL branches from the second coolant flow path 21b at the axial center to one axial end side and the other end side of the first coolant flow path 21a. The coolant CL flowing through the second coolant flow path 21b and the first coolant flow path 21a exchanges heat with the rectangular conductor 8 while cooling the heat generated by copper loss. The coolant CL flows toward one axial end side and the other end side in the slot 7, and is discharged from both axial ends of the slot 7 and drips into the coolant reservoir 13 (see FIG. Figure 1 ) and is recycled as described above.

[0075] Next, refer to Fig. 20 and Fig.21 , an overall overview of another aspect of the flow path of the coolant CL in one slot 7 of the rotating electrical machine 1 of the present disclosure is given. Fig. 20 It is shown Figures 5 to 7 0 is a perspective view of another example of the structure around the coolant flow path shown in . Fig.21Extract and draw Fig. 20 A conceptual diagram of a portion of the coolant flow path in FIG. Figure 1 To explain the outline, the coolant CL is supplied from the outside to the middle position in the axial direction of the stator core 6 of the rotating electrical machine 1 .

[0076] The supplied coolant CL flows radially inward in the second coolant flow paths 21 b, which are formed at three locations in the middle of the slot 7 as gaps between the specific shape portions 8S of the rectangular conductors 8 stacked and arranged in the radial direction in the slot 7 and the inner wall of the slot 7. Specifically, the second coolant flow paths 21 b are formed as gaps between the insulating member 11, that is, insulating paper, and the outer surface of the rectangular conductor 8, and the insulating member 11 is in close contact with the inner wall of the slot 7.

[0077] exist Fig. 20 and Fig.21 In the example of , the following configuration is adopted: the axial phase position of the specific shape portion 8S of each flat conductor 8 shifts in one direction and then returns and shifts in one direction again as it moves from the outermost flat conductor 8 to the innermost flat conductor 8 in the radial direction inward. Therefore, the second coolant flow path 21b formed from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side in the slot 7 is zigzag-shaped according to the axial phase shift of the specific shape portion 8S. This second coolant flow path 21b is provided so as to zigzag-shaped as it moves from the axial center position of the outermost periphery of the slot 7 and two positions away from the center position toward one end side and the other end side in the axial direction toward the inner periphery.

[0078] The coolant CL flowing through the second coolant flow path 21b flows through the first coolant flow path 21a connected to the second coolant flow path 21b.

[0079] The coolant CL branches from the second coolant flow path 21b at the axial center to one axial end side and the other end side of the first coolant flow path 21a.

[0080] The rotating electrical machine 1 in the present disclosure described above can be summarized as follows.

[0081] (1) A rotating electric machine 1 disclosed in the present invention has a stator core 6 in which a plurality of flat conductors 8 are arranged in a slot 7, wherein a specific shape portion 8S of the flat conductor 8 having a thickness dimension in a direction perpendicular to its own longitudinal direction is relatively thin in one direction CW and relatively thick in another direction EW, and is formed between regular shape portions 8N that are not the specific shape portion 8S, and the rotating electric machine 1 comprises: a first coolant flow path 21a, wherein a plurality of the specific shape portions of the plurality of flat conductors 8 are arranged in parallel in the slot in a manner adjacent to each other, thereby forming the first coolant flow path 21a between the regular shape portions 8N of the plurality of flat conductors 8; and a second coolant flow path 21b formed between the specific shape portions 8S of the plurality of flat conductors 8 and the inner wall of the slot 7.

[0082] In the rotating electric machine 1 of (1) above, a plurality of the rectangular conductors 8 are arranged in parallel in the slot 7 so that the specific shape portions 8S are adjacent to each other, thereby forming the first coolant flow path 21a between the normal shape portions 8N of the plurality of rectangular conductors 8 and the second coolant flow path 21b between the specific shape portions 8S of the plurality of rectangular conductors 8 and the inner wall of the slot 7. Therefore, for example, even if the insulating paper arranged between the inner wall of the slot 7 and the straight portion of the rectangular conductor 8 contains a foaming material, when the plurality of rectangular conductors 8 are arranged in the slot 7, the first coolant flow path 21a between the adjacent rectangular conductors 8 can be ensured, and the second coolant flow path 21b between the inner wall of the slot (including the insulating member 11 such as the insulating paper) and the rectangular conductors 8 can be ensured, and the second coolant flow path 21b can be ensured between the inner wall of the slot (including the insulating member 11 such as the insulating paper) and the rectangular conductors 8, and the second coolant flow path 21b is connected to the first coolant flow path 21a. The coolant CL flowing through these coolant flow paths can efficiently cool the rectangular conductors 8 when the rotating electric machine 1 is operating.

[0083] (2) In one aspect of the rotary electric machine 1 disclosed herein, the first coolant flow path 21a is a coolant flow path formed between the regular shape parts 8N by connecting the relatively thick portions (EW) in the specific shape parts 8S stacked and adjacent to each other in the slot 7 in the stacking direction.

[0084] In the rotating electrical machine 1 of the aspect (2) described above, the first coolant flow path 21a is a coolant flow path formed between the regular shape portions 8N by connecting the relatively thick portions (EW) of the specific shape portions 8S arranged in parallel in the slot 7 and adjacent to each other in the stacking direction. Therefore, the coolant flow path as the first coolant flow path 21a can be ensured between the regular shape portions 8N of the rectangular conductor 8, and the cooling of the rectangular conductor 8 is promoted by the coolant CL flowing through the coolant flow path.

[0085] (3) In one aspect of the rotating electrical machine 1 disclosed herein, the second coolant flow path 21b is a coolant flow path formed between the inner wall of the slot 7 and the specific shape portion 8S by connecting relatively thin portions (CW) of the thickness dimension in the specific shape portions 8S stacked and adjacent to each other in the slot 7 in the stacking direction.

[0086] In the rotating electrical machine of (3) above, the second coolant flow path 21b is a coolant flow path formed between the inner wall of the slot and the specific shape portion 8S by connecting the relatively thin portions (CW) of the specific shape portions 8S arranged in parallel in a plurality of adjacent specific shape portions 8S in the slot 7 in the stacking direction. Thus, the coolant flow path as the second coolant flow path 21b between the inner wall of the slot and the specific shape portion 8S of the rectangular conductor 8 can be secured, and the coolant CL flowing through the second coolant flow path 21b can flow smoothly to the first coolant flow path 21a, thereby promoting cooling of the entire rectangular conductor 8.

[0087] The above is a description of one aspect of the rotary electric machine disclosed in the present invention, but the technical concept of the present invention is not limited thereto. The detailed structure may be appropriately changed within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention. For example, instead of setting the specific shape portion 8S of the flat conductor 8 to a rectangular parallelepiped shape, a structure may be adopted in which the dimensions of the portion (EW) with a relatively thick thickness dimension and the portion (CW) with a relatively thin thickness dimension are ensured by other three-dimensional shapes.
