Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a cover assembly for a beverage container and a beverage system comprising the cover assembly and the beverage container. Background Art
[0002] Drink containers are used to store drinkable fluids. To help control leakage, a lid assembly is typically mounted on the drink container. The lid assembly includes a fluid outlet (such as a drink spout or sip hole) through which a user can drink the fluid. The lid assembly may include a movable lid that covers the fluid outlet when disposed in a closed lid position. The lid assembly may also include a lock that releasably locks the lid in the closed lid position. Summary of the invention
[0003] In one aspect, the present invention is directed to a lid assembly for a beverage container.
[0004] In use, the lid assembly may be mounted on top of the open end of the beverage container.
[0005] The cover assembly includes:
[0006] Pedestal;
[0007] A fluid outlet is disposed on the base;
[0008] build;
[0009] a pivot hinge about which the lid can rotate relative to the base between a closed position and an open position; and
[0010] A closed lid lock releasably locks the lid in a closed position.
[0011] When the cover is in the closed position, the fluid outlet is covered by the cover to prevent fluid from being dispensed through the fluid outlet.
[0012] When the cover is in the uncovered position, the fluid outlet is accessible to a user to allow dispensing of fluid through the fluid outlet.
[0013] When the cover is locked by the cover-closing lock, the cover is immovable and fixed in the cover-closing position.
[0014] When the cover is released by the cover-closing lock, the cover can move freely between the cover-closing position and the cover-opening position.
[0015] The base may include an upper wall and a side wall, and the fluid outlet is disposed on the upper wall.
[0016] The lid lock may be disposed on the side wall of the base and below the plane of the upper wall of the base.
[0017] Positioning the closure lock below the plane of the upper wall of the base advantageously allows a user to access the fluid outlet with minimal interference with the closure lock.
[0018] The lid lock may include a locking member configured to lock the lid when the lid is in the closed lid position. The locking member may include any suitable fastening means, such as a hook or a protrusion configured to form a locking engagement with the lid when the locking member is in the locked position (and the lid is in the closed lid position).
[0019] The locking member is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to the cover in the closed cover position. When the locking member is set in the locked position, the locking member is configured to engage with the cover in the closed cover position, thereby providing a first locking action on the cover. When the locking member is set in the unlocked position, the locking member cannot engage with the cover in the closed cover position. Therefore, the cover can be freely moved between the closed cover position and the unlocked cover position as needed.
[0020] The locking member can be moved in a rotational direction between a locking position and an unlocking position.
[0021] The lid lock may include a locking member to lock the locking member in the locked position. The locking member may include any suitable locking means, for example, the locking member may include a locking member abutment configured to form an abutment engagement with the locking position abutment when the locking member is in the locked position to inhibit movement of the locking member.
[0022] The locking member can move between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to the locking member. When the locking member is set in the locked position, the locking member is prohibited from moving, thereby being fixed in the locked position. When the locking member is set in the unlocked position, the locking member can move freely between the locked position and the unlocked position. In one example, when the locking member is set in the locked position and the cover is locked in the closed position, the locking member can be set in the locked position to lock the locking member in the locked position, thereby providing a second locking action on the cover. When it is necessary to open the cover assembly, the locking member can be set in the unlocked position to allow the locking member to move to the unlocked position and release the cover.
[0023] The locking member is movable in a linear direction relative to the blocking member between a locked position and an unlocked position.
[0024] The lid lock may include a toggle that interconnects the locking member and the closure member, wherein the toggle is configured to allow the locking member to move between the locked position and the unlocked position together with the closure member (as a combined unit), and wherein the toggle is configured to allow the locking member to move between the locked position and the unlocked position relative to the closure member while remaining interconnected. The toggle acts as a locking member actuator that controls the movement of the locking member relative to the closure member between the locked position and the unlocked position. For example, the toggle controls lateral movement of the locking member relative to the closure member between the locked position and the unlocked position.
[0025] The toggle may include a protrusion, a first groove that forms a mutual engagement with the protrusion when the locking member is set in the locked position, and a second groove that forms a mutual engagement with the protrusion when the locking member is set in the unlocked position. The protrusion, the first groove and the second groove are configured to control the direction of movement and displacement of the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position. For example, the protrusion, the first groove and the second groove are configured to allow the locking member to move in a linear direction and have a linear displacement relative to the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position. The first groove and the second groove define the locked position and the unlocked position, respectively. The protrusion can be elastically deformed under the action of the user's force to engage and disengage with each groove, thereby allowing the locking member to move between the first groove (locked position) and the second groove (unlocked position). The use of an elastically deformable protrusion provides a smooth transition between the first groove (locked position) and the second groove (unlocked position). The use of an elastically deformable protrusion is conducive to avoiding wear of the toggle, thereby extending the service life of the interconnection component. The use of an elastically deformable protrusion and a groove is conducive to providing tactile feedback to the user, which allows the user to feel when the locking member moves to the locked position or the unlocked position as expected. When the protrusion moves between the first groove and the second groove, a sound may be produced, which helps the user know that the locking member has moved between the locked position and the unlocked position. The protrusion may be provided on the locking member. The first groove and the second groove may be provided on the locking member. The mating engagement between the protrusion and the groove interconnects the locking member and the locking member. Therefore, when the locking member is in the locked position and the unlocked position, it remains interconnected.
[0026] The lid lock may include a locking member actuator to control movement of the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position. The locking member actuator may include a pivot axis about which the locking member rotates between the locked position and the unlocked position. The pivot axis may include a pivot pin defining a pivot axis, whereby the locking member is coupled to the pivot pin. The locking member may include a pivot hole through which the pivot pin extends.
[0027] The latch actuator may include a bias spring to bias the latch member toward the latched position. The bias spring may be mounted on the latch member via a spring mount and below the pivot axis.
[0028] The latch member actuator may include a latch position abutment configured to form an abutment engagement with the latch member or the locking member when the latch member is disposed in the latch position. The latch position abutment defines the latch position and prevents further rotation of the latch member beyond the latch position.
[0029] The closure member actuator may include an unlocked position abutment portion configured to form an abutment engagement with the closure member or the locking member when the closure member is disposed in the unlocked position. The unlocked position abutment portion defines the unlocked position and prevents further rotation of the closure member beyond the unlocked position. The locking member may include an outer surface that is accessible to a user.
[0030] The lid lock may be user activated by a user activation force applied to an outer surface of the locking member.
[0031] The locking member actuator can be activated by a user to move the interconnected locking member and the locking member from the locked position to the unlocked position. For example, the locking member actuator can be configured to be activated by an unlocking force applied to the outer surface of the locking member to rotate the interconnected locking member and the locking member in a rotational unlocking direction from the locked position to the unlocked position.
[0032] The user can activate the toggle joint as needed to move the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position relative to the locking member. For example, the toggle joint can be configured to be activated by a locking force applied to the outer surface of the locking member, so that the locking member slides from the unlocked position to the locked position relative to the locking member along a linear locking direction. The toggle joint can be configured to be activated by an unlocking force applied to the outer surface of the locking member, so that the locking member slides from the locked position to the unlocked position relative to the locking member along a linear locking direction (opposite to the linear locking direction).
[0033] The lid lock may include a guide to guide the movement of the locking member relative to the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position. In one example, the guide may include at least one guide hole formed in the locking member to receive the pivot pin. As such, the guide hole is configured to guide the movement of the locking member relative to the pivot pin when the locking member generally moves between the locked position and the unlocked position. The guide hole is configured to guide the direction of movement and displacement of the locking member when the locking member moves between the locked position and the unlocked position. For example, the guide hole may be an elongated hole to guide the linear movement and linear displacement of the locking member relative to the pivot pin and the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position.
[0034] The pivot hinge connects the base and the cover. The cover can rotate relative to the base between a closed position and an open position around the pivot hinge. The pivot hinge can include a pivot axis that is set at a distance beyond the outer edge of the base.
[0035] The pivot axis is arranged to extend a distance beyond the outer edge / periphery / peripheral edge of the base to allow the cover to rotate about the pivot axis between the closed and open positions without interfering with the base. In this way, the cover does not have any restrictive contact with the base to prevent the cover from rotating between the closed and open positions.
[0036] Spacing the pivot axis from the base allows the cover to be rotated backward relative to the base to an open position, whereby the cover extends downward from the pivot hinge and is disposed below the pivot. In this way, the cover is sufficiently out of the user's sight to avoid affecting the user's visibility when drinking fluid from the fluid outlet. In addition, the cover is positioned sufficiently away from the fluid outlet to avoid affecting the user's access to the fluid outlet. Therefore, arranging the cover in the open position improves the safety of the user.
[0037] Spacing the pivot axis from the base allows the cover to be rotated forwardly relative to the base to a closed cover position, whereby the cover is arranged to extend from the pivot hinge through the base, cover the fluid outlet, and sealably engage the base.
[0038] In the open cover position, the cover may be configured to extend downwardly below a pivot axis substantially parallel to the side wall of the base and / or the side wall of the beverage container. In the open cover position, a portion of the cover may abut the side wall of the base and / or the side wall of the beverage container in contact engagement. The cover abutment portion may have a corresponding profile with the side wall of the base and / or the side wall of the beverage container, whereby the cover abutment portion is configured to be flush with the side wall of the base and / or the side wall of the beverage container when the cover is in the open cover position.
[0039] The pivot axis may be configured to be located below the plane of the upper wall of the base. Thus, in the open position, the cover is disposed below the plane of the upper wall of the base. Thus, when the cover is in the open position, the cover is not within the user's line of sight through the upper wall of the base.
[0040] Pivot hinges may include:
[0041] a pivot arm extending from the base, the pivot arm defining a spacing beyond the base; and
[0042] A pivot pin is disposed at the distal end of the pivot arm, the pivot pin defining a pivot axis, and the cover is rotationally coupled to the pivot pin.
[0043] The pivot hinge may be a spring loaded pivot hinge. The spring loaded pivot hinge may include an opening biasing member to bias the lid away from the closed lid position. The pivot hinge may include a biasing spring mounted on a pivot pin, wherein the biasing spring is configured to exert an opening biasing force on the lid away from the closed lid position.
[0044] The lid assembly may include an open lid lock that releasably locks the lid in an open position.
[0045] The cover opening lock may include a mating piece and a groove configured to form a mating engagement, and when the cover is in the cover opening position, the mating piece and the groove hold the cover in the cover opening position. When the cover is moved to the cover opening position, the mating piece may be elastically deformed under the action of a user force, thereby positioning the mating piece in the groove. Under the action of a user force, the mating piece may be elastically deformed to move the mating piece away from the groove, thereby allowing the cover to be moved away from the cover opening position. The mating piece may be disposed on the cover, and the groove may be disposed on the pivot hinge.
[0046] The lid assembly may include an intermediate lid lock to releasably lock the lid in an intermediate lid position between the closed lid position and the open lid position.
[0047] The intermediate cover lock may include an abutment member and an abutment portion, and when the cover is in the intermediate position, the abutment member and the abutment portion are configured to form an abutment engagement to maintain the cover in the intermediate position. Under the action of user force, the abutment member can be elastically deformed to separate the abutment member from the abutment portion, thereby allowing the cover to move across the intermediate cover position to an open cover position or a closed cover position, and the movement to the open cover position or the closed cover position depends on the direction of rotation of the cover about the pivot. The abutment member can be arranged on the cover and the abutment portion can be arranged on the pivot hinge. The abutment portion can include a protrusion, a ridge or an edge.
[0048] The lid assembly may include a handle. The handle may be coupled to the pivot hinge and independently rotatable relative to the lid about the pivot axis. The handle may be rotated to a closed handle position, in which a user cannot grasp the lid assembly by the handle. The handle may be rotated to an open handle position, in which a user can grasp the lid assembly by the handle. The handle may be rotated about the pivot axis between a first closed handle position and a second closed handle position, in which the handle is in an open handle position between the first closed handle position and the second closed handle position.
[0049] In the first closed handle position, a first finger accessible space (distance) may be provided between the handle and the cover, thereby allowing a user's finger to approach the handle. In this way, the user can approach the handle and move the handle away from the first closed handle position. The cover may include an inclined surface to form the first finger accessible space between the handle and the cover.
[0050] The cover may include a handle recess for receiving the handle in a first closed handle position. The handle may be configured to be flush with the cover when the handle is received in the handle recess in the first closed handle position. The handle recess may include an inclined surface to form a first finger accessible space between the handle recess and the handle when the handle is received in the handle recess in the first closed handle position.
[0051] A second finger-accessible space (distance) can be set between the handle and the base, thereby allowing a user's finger to approach the handle in the second closed handle position. Like this, the user can approach the handle and remove the handle from the second handle closed position.
[0052] The lid assembly may include a first closed handle lock that releasably locks the handle in a first closed handle position.
[0053] The lid assembly may include a second closed handle lock that releasably locks the handle in a second closed handle position.
[0054] The lid assembly may include an open handle lock that releasably locks the handle in an open handle position.
[0055] In a second aspect, the present invention relates to a beverage system, comprising:
[0056] a beverage container including an open end;
[0057] The cover assembly according to the first aspect of the present invention is mounted on the top of the open end of the beverage container. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0081] Those skilled in the art will readily recognize from the following description that alternative embodiments of the structures described herein may be used without departing from the principles of the invention described herein and the scope of the invention defined in the claims. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0082] Figures 1 to 36 An embodiment of a beverage system is described, which includes a beverage container D and a lid assembly C that can be used with the beverage container D.
[0083] The beverage container D is a container for storing a fluid suitable for drinking ("fluid").
[0084] The cover assembly C can be mounted on the top of the beverage container D, and the beverage container D and the cover assembly together form a beverage system. The beverage system has a longitudinal axis LL'. When the cover assembly is opened, the fluid can be separated from the beverage container through the fluid outlet of the cover assembly. When the cover assembly is closed, the fluid is sealed in the beverage container.
[0085] In the present invention, the beverage container D includes a body 1 having an open end or opening. The body includes an internal cavity in which a fluid can be stored. The fluid can be added to or removed from the internal cavity through the open end. The body can be defined by walls of any suitable construction and material. For example, the wall can be a single wall or double wall construction. The wall can have an insulating construction. The beverage container can have any suitable configuration. In the figure (for example, Figures 1 to 4 ) shown, the beverage container has a cylindrical configuration with an open top. The beverage container has a cylindrical body, which includes a circular side wall 1a and a flat lower wall 1b. The side wall narrows to form a neck 1c. The top edge of the neck 1c defines an open end (not shown). Fluid can be stored in an internal cavity 1d defined by the wall.
[0086] In the present invention, as shown in the figure, the cover assembly C includes a base 2 having a fluid outlet, a cover 3 and a pivot hinge 4. The pivot hinge 4 includes a pivot axis AA', and the cover 3 can rotate relative to the base 2 around the pivot axis AA'.
[0087] As shown in the figure (for example, Figures 1 to 4 ), the cover assembly C can be installed on the top of the beverage container D to cover the open end of the beverage container.
[0088] The base 2 of the cap assembly C is configured to form a liquid-tight engagement (sealed engagement) with the beverage container D and cover the open end. By providing a sealed engagement, the cap assembly restricts fluid from being separated from the beverage container except for the fluid outlet. In the embodiment shown in the figure, the base 2 may include a base seal (not shown) that engages and seals the neck 1c when the base is mounted on the neck 1c to cover the open end of the beverage container D.
[0089] The base 2 of the lid assembly C can have any suitable configuration. Preferably, the base corresponds to the shape of the beverage container D to provide a continuous profile. The base can include a side wall and an upper wall. In the embodiment depicted in the figures, the base has a generally cylindrical shape corresponding to a cylindrical beverage container and includes a circular side wall 2a and an upper wall 2b. The perimeter of the base is defined by the circular side wall 2a.
[0090] The fluid outlet of the cap assembly C allows the fluid to be separated from the beverage container D through the cap assembly C, and the fluid outlet is configured to allow the user to drink the fluid directly from the fluid outlet. The fluid outlet can be located on the base upper wall 2b. The fluid outlet can have any suitable configuration. The fluid outlet can include a hole (a small beverage hole) formed on the base upper wall. Alternatively, as shown in the figure (for example, see Figure 6), the fluid outlet may include a drink spout 2c extending from the upper wall 2b of the base. As shown, the drink spout may have a fixed configuration. Alternatively, the drink spout may be movable between a user-usable position and an unusable position, wherein the usable position is a position where the user can drink from the drink spout and the unusable position is a position where the user cannot drink from the drink spout. For example, the drink spout may be movable between an usable upright position and an unusable prone position relative to the upper wall of the base. The base may include a drink spout groove for receiving the drink spout in the unusable prone position.
[0091] As shown (for example, see Figure 7 ), the base 2 of the cover assembly may further include an air hole 2d to assist the fluid in flowing through the fluid outlet.
[0092] The base 2 of the lid assembly C can be releasably mounted on the beverage container D to allow the lid assembly C to be removed and reinstalled on the beverage container D. The lid assembly and / or the beverage container may include a releasable attachment to releasably connect the base 2 and the beverage container D to form a releasable sealed engagement. Figure 8 ), the attachment comprises an internal thread 2e provided on the inner surface of the base to form a releasable sealing engagement with a corresponding external thread (not shown) provided on the neck 1c of the beverage container.
[0093] The lid 3 of the lid assembly is interconnected with the base 2 via a pivot hinge 4. The lid 3 is rotatably coupled to the pivot hinge 4 and is rotatable relative to the base 2 about a pivot axis AA' between a closed lid position and an open lid position.
[0094] The cap 3 of the cap assembly C is configured to cover the fluid outlet and close the cap assembly when it is set in the closed cap position. The cap is configured to open the cap assembly when it is set in the open cap position, so that the user can access the fluid outlet and allow the fluid to be separated.
[0095] The pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4 is arranged at a distance beyond the outer edge / periphery / peripheral edge of the base 2. This spacing of the pivot axis AA' allows the cover 3 to rotate without interfering with the base 2. The cover 3 can rotate around the pivot axis AA' toward the fluid outlet (and the upper wall 2b of the base) to set the cover 3 in the closed cover position. The rotation of the cover in the direction toward the fluid outlet can be referred to as a rotation in the "forward direction" around the pivot axis AA'. Since the pivot axis AA' is arranged to exceed the periphery of the base 2 by a distance, the cover can be rotated forward to the closed cover position without interfering with the side wall 2a of the base. The cover 3 rotates around the pivot axis AA' in a direction away from the fluid outlet (and the upper wall 2b of the base) so that the cover is set in the open cover position. The rotation of the cover in the direction away from the fluid outlet can be referred to as a rotation in the "backward direction" around the pivot axis AA'. Since the pivot axis AA' is arranged to exceed the periphery of the base 2 by a distance, the cover can be rotated backward to the open cover position without interfering with the upper wall 2b of the base. In this way, the cover 3 can be rotated between the cover-closed position and the cover-open position without interfering with the base 2 (limited contact).
[0096] The pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4 may be arranged below the plane of the upper wall of the base. For example, in the embodiment shown in the figures, the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4 is arranged below the plane of the upper wall 2b of the base.
[0097] The pivot hinge 4 of the cover assembly C may have any suitable pivot configuration. The pivot hinge 4 may include a pivot pin to define a pivot axis AA', whereby the cover is rotationally coupled to the pivot pin to allow the cover 3 to rotate relative to the base 2 about the pivot axis AA'. The pivot pin may be rotatable or fixed.
[0098] The pivot hinge 4 of the cover assembly C may include a pivot arm extending from a base, wherein a pivot pin is disposed at a distal end of the pivot arm. Since the pivot arm is configured to extend from the base, the pivot axis is disposed at a distance beyond the periphery of the base. The distance is defined by the distance between the base and the pivot axis AA' along the pivot arm. In the embodiment shown in the figure, the pivot hinge includes a pivot arm 4a extending from a side wall 2a of the base and a pivot pin 4b disposed at a distal end of the pivot arm. The pivot pin 4b extends through a pivot hole formed at the distal end of the pivot arm. A first end of the pivot pin protrudes from one end of the pivot hole, and a second end of the pivot pin protrudes from the opposite end of the pivot hole. The pivot pin 4b defines the pivot axis AA' and can rotate within the pivot hole. As shown, the pivot arm 4a extends substantially perpendicular to the side wall 2a of the base. The pivot arm 4a is provided with a spacing between the pivot pin 4b (defining the pivot axis AA') and the base side wall 2a, so that the pivot pin protrudes beyond the perimeter of the base 2. The upper surface of the pivot arm 4a is substantially flush with the base upper wall 2b. Thus, the pivot pin 4b in the pivot hole is disposed below the plane of the base upper wall 2b, so that the pivot axis is also disposed below the plane of the base upper wall.
[0099] The pivot hinge 4 of the lid assembly can be a spring-loaded pivot hinge. The spring-loaded pivot hinge can have an opening bias to bias the lid toward a closed position or a closing bias to bias the lid toward an unclosed position. The pivot hinge can include a biasing spring mounted on a pivot pin, wherein the biasing spring is configured to apply a biasing force to the lid. For example, in the illustrated embodiment (e.g., see Figure 8 ), the pivot hinge 4 includes a biasing spring 4c mounted on a pivot pin 4b to apply a biasing force to the cover 3 away from the closed cover position.
[0100] The cover 3 of the cap assembly C can have any suitable shape. Preferably, the shape of the cover corresponds to the shape of the base 2. The cover can include at least one arm connected to the pivot hinge. The cover can include side walls and an upper wall. In the embodiment described in the figure, the cover includes a side wall 3a and an inclined upper wall 3b. The cover also includes a pair of parallel arms, a first cover arm 3e and a second cover arm 3f. The first cover arm 3e is connected to the first end of the pivot pin 4b, and the second cover arm 3f is connected to the second end of the pivot pin 4b.
[0101] When the cover 3 of the cover assembly C is set in the closed cover position, the cover 3 extends from the pivot axis AA' through the base 2. The cover 3 covers the drink outlet of the water dispenser and engages with the base, thereby closing the cover assembly C. Preferably, the cover 3 forms a liquid-tight engagement (sealed engagement) with the base 2 and / or the fluid outlet 2c to prevent fluid from leaking from the closed cover assembly. Due to the spacing between the pivot axis AA' and the periphery of the base, the cover extends from the pivot axis AA' and through the base without interfering with the base. In the figure (for example, see Figure 1 , Figure 2 , Figure 5 , Figure 8 and Fig. 9 ), the cover 3 extends from the pivot axis AA' across the base upper wall 2b. The cover upper wall 3b covers the drink spout 2c. The lower edge (edge) of the cover side wall 3a abuts the base upper wall 2b to form a contact engagement. Since the pivot axis AA' is arranged below the plane of the base upper wall 2b, the cover 3 is basically arranged above the pivot axis AA' when in the closed cover position.
[0102] The cover 3 of the cover assembly C may include a cover seal to form a sealing engagement with the base 2 when the cover is disposed in the closed position. Figure 6 and Figure 7 ), the cover 3 may include a drink spout seal 3c and / or an air hole seal 3d to engage and seal the corresponding drink spout 2c and / or air hole 2d when the cover is set in the closed position.
[0103] The lid assembly C may include a lid lock to releasably lock the lid 3 in a lid-closed position relative to the base 2, thereby keeping the lid assembly closed (maintaining a sealing engagement between the lid and the base). When it is desired to open the lid assembly, the lid lock may be activated to release the lid, thereby allowing the lid to rotate backward about the pivot axis AA' to the lid-open position. The lid lock is described in further detail below.
[0104] When the cover is set in the open position, the cover 3 extends backward in a direction below the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4 and away from the pivot axis AA'. In this way, the cover is at least substantially set below the pivot axis AA'. Extending from the direction below the pivot axis AA' to the direction away from the pivot axis AA' can be directed to extend in a "downward" direction. Due to the spacing between the pivot axis AA' and the periphery of the base 2, the cover 3 extends downward below the pivot axis AA' without interfering with the upper wall 2b of the base. For example, see Figure 3 , Figure 4 , Figure 6 , Fig.12 and Fig.13 .
[0105] In the embodiment shown in the figure, the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4 can be arranged below the plane of the upper wall 2b of the base, so that when in the open position, the cover 3 is arranged below the plane of the upper wall of the base.
[0106] When the cover 3 is in the open cover position, the cover assembly C is opened, and the user can access the fluid outlet and drink fluid from the beverage container D through the cover assembly C.
[0107] Due to the configuration of the cover 3 in the open position, the user is allowed to consume fluid from the fluid outlet with minimal interference between the user and the cover 3 and minimal visibility of the cover. Thus, the cover in the open position does not affect the user's access to the fluid outlet, nor does it affect the user's visibility when consuming fluid from the fluid outlet.
[0108] In the open position, the cover 3 can extend in a direction generally parallel to the base side wall 2a and / or the beverage container side wall 1a. Figure 3 and Fig.12 ), when the cover is set in the open cover position, a portion 3g of the cover upper wall 3b can abut the base side wall 2a and / or the beverage container side wall 1a. In this way, the cover abutting portion 3g is in contact with the base side wall 2a and / or the beverage container side wall 1a. As described in the figure, the cover abutting portion 3g can have a concave profile, which is configured to correspond to the circular profile of the base side wall 2a and / or the beverage container side wall 1a to allow the cover to be close to and flush with the base 2 and / or the beverage container D when the cover is in the open cover position.
[0109] The lid assembly C may include a lid opening lock that releasably holds the lid 3 in an open position relative to the base 2, thereby keeping the lid assembly C open. The lid opening lock may be any suitable locking device. The lid opening lock may be activated by a user and / or automatically. The lid opening lock may include a mating piece and a groove configured to receive the mating piece and to form a mating engagement with a corresponding mating piece. The mating piece may be elastically deformed under the action of user force to engage and / or disengage with the groove. The mating piece may include any suitable elastically deformable material, including plastic or rubber. The mating piece and the groove may include any suitable configuration. The mating piece may be provided on the lid 3, and the groove may be provided on the pivot hinge 4. In the described examples (e.g., see Figure 6 , Fig. 9 , Fig.12 and Fig.13 , the mating member of the cover-opening lock includes a pair of parallel mating protrusions extending from the cover edge, a first protrusion 6a and a second protrusion 6b. As shown in the figure, the first protrusion 6a and the second protrusion 6b extend outward from the cover in the gap space between the first cover arm 3e and the second cover arm 3f. The protrusion is formed of elastically deformable plastic and can be elastically deformed under the action of user force. The groove of the cover-opening lock includes a notch 6c arranged on the pivot hinge 4 and is configured to receive the first protrusion 6a and the second protrusion 6b. In this embodiment, the notch 6c is a lower recessed portion of the pivot arm 4a between the outer round corner abutment 7a at the far end of the base side wall 2a and the pivot arm 4a. The notch 6c extends the width of the pivot arm 4a. When it is necessary to open the cover assembly C, the cover 3 rotates backward around the pivot hinge 4 to the cover-opening position, whereby, when the cover 3 is in the cover-opening position, the protrusions 6a, 6b extend to the lower side of the pivot arm 4a. In this way, the recess 6c receives the protrusions 6a, 6b and forms a mating engagement with the protrusions to maintain the lid 3 in the open lid position. When it is necessary to close the lid assembly, the user can apply a force to elastically deform the protrusions 6a, 6b and separate them from the recess 6c, thereby allowing the lid to rotate forward around the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4 to the closed lid position.
[0110] The lid assembly C may further include an intermediate lid lock to releasably lock the lid 3 in an intermediate lid position between the lid-closed position and the lid-opening position. When the lid 3 is rotated between the lid-closed position and the lid-opening position, the intermediate lid lock may lock the lid in the intermediate position. When the lid is rotated backward from the lid-closed position to the lid-opening position about the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4, the intermediate lid lock may lock the lid 3 in the intermediate position. When the lid is rotated forward from the lid-opening position to the lid-closed position about the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4, the intermediate lock may lock the lid 3 in the intermediate position. The intermediate lid lock may be activated by a user and / or automatically.
[0111] When disposed in the intermediate cover position, the cover 3 extends rearwardly and away from the pivot axis AA' in a direction outwardly away from the pivot hinge 4 and the base 2. Due to the spacing between the pivot axis AA' and the periphery of the base, the cover 3 does not interfere with the base as it extends outwardly from the pivot axis AA' in a direction away from the base. Figure 7 and Fig.10 ) as shown in the embodiment described, when in the intermediate cover position, the cover 3 can extend in a direction substantially parallel to the pivot arm 4a and perpendicular to the base side wall 2a away from the pivot axis AA'.
[0112] The intermediate cover lock can be any suitable locking device. The intermediate cover lock may include an abutment member and an abutment portion configured to form an abutment engagement when the cover 3 is in the intermediate position, thereby maintaining the cover 3 in the intermediate position. Under the action of user force, the abutment member can be elastically deformed to separate the abutment member from the abutment portion, thereby allowing the cover 3 to move across the intermediate cover position to the open cover position or the closed cover position, and the movement to the open cover position or the closed cover position depends on the direction of rotation of the cover around the pivot axis AA' of the pivot hinge 4. The abutment member can include any suitable elastically deformable material, including plastic or rubber. The abutment member and the abutment portion can have any suitable configuration. The abutment member can be provided on the cover, and the abutment portion can be provided on the pivot hinge 4. The mating member of the open cover lock and the abutment member of the intermediate cover lock can be the same or different components. The abutment portion may include a protrusion, a ridge or an edge formed on the pivot hinge 4. In the description (for example, see Figure 7 , Fig.10 and Fig.11), the first protrusion 6a and the second protrusion 6b extending from the cover in the gap space between the first cover arm 3e and the second cover arm 3e also serve as abutments for the intermediate cover lock. The abutment portion of the intermediate cover lock includes an outer fillet 7a formed at the distal end of the pivot arm 4a. The outer fillet 7a is arc-shaped or teardrop-shaped and extends from the lower side of the distal end of the pivot arm 4a. The outer fillet 7a extends the width of the pivot arm 4a. When the cover 3 rotates about the pivot axis AA', the protrusions 6a, 6b will abut the outer fillet 7a to form an abutment engagement, thereby preventing further rotation of the cover and maintaining the cover in the intermediate cover position. During the rotation of the cover 3 about the pivot axis AA' until the protrusions 6a, 6b are adjacent to the outer fillet 7a, the protrusions 6a, 6b can be configured to slide over the surface of the pivot arm. The projections 6a, 6b and the outer rounded corners 7a are configured to abut against each other when the cover is rotated backward from the closed cover position to the open cover position about the pivot axis AA' to maintain the cover 3 in the intermediate cover position. Similarly, the projections 6a, 6b and the outer rounded corners 7a are configured to abut against each other when the cover is rotated forward from the open cover position to the closed cover position about the pivot axis AA' to maintain the cover in the intermediate cover position. In order to release the cover from the intermediate cover position, the user can apply a force to elastically deform the projections 6a, 6b and push them out of the outer rounded corners 7a. After release, the cover can continue to rotate about the pivot axis AA' to the desired open cover position or closed cover position.
[0113] To further assist the user, the lid assembly C may include a handle. The handle may be coupled to the pivot hinge 4 and independently rotatable relative to the lid 3 about the pivot axis AA' to allow the handle to rotate relative to the lid. The lid may be rotated to a closed handle position, where the user cannot access the handle to hold the lid assembly. The lid may be rotated to an open handle position, where the user can access the handle to hold the lid assembly.
[0114] As shown in the embodiment (e.g., Figures 14 to 20 ), the cover assembly C may include a handle 8 having a hole 8a through which a user can insert one or more fingers. The handle 8 is rotatably connected to the pivot hinge 4 to rotate about the pivot axis AA'. The handle 8 can rotate independently relative to the cover 3 about the pivot axis AA'. The handle may include a pair of parallel arms, a first handle arm 8b and a second handle arm 8c. The first handle arm 8b is connected to the first end of the pivot pin 4b, and the second handle arm 8c is connected to the second end of the pivot pin 4b. The handle 8 can rotate forward toward the cover 3 and backward away from the cover about the pivot axis AA'. As shown in the embodiment, the handle 8 can rotate between a first closed handle position and a second closed handle position. The handle can rotate to an open handle position between the first closed handle position and the second closed handle position.
[0115] When the handle 8 is arranged in the first closed handle position, the handle can extend from the pivot axis AA' through the cover. Fig.14 and Fig.15 .
[0116] In the embodiment shown in the figure, the cover 3 may include a handle recess 9 to receive the handle 8 in the first closed handle position. The handle recess 9 is configured so that the handle 8 can be flush in the recess when the handle is set in the first closed handle position. In the embodiment shown, the recess is formed in the cover abutment portion 3g having a concave profile. The handle 8 has a corresponding concave profile so that when the handle is set in the first closed handle position, the cover abutment portion 3g forms a homologous concave surface with the closed handle.
[0117] The lid 3 may include a first finger accessible space to provide a finger-sized clearance space between the lid and the handle in the first closed handle position. The first finger accessible space allows a user to reach out and lift the handle to rotate it away from the lid. The walls of the handle recess 9 may be recessed to form the first finger accessible space, such as the side walls of the recess. The walls of the handle recess 9 may be inclined to form the first finger accessible space between the lid and the handle. Fig.10 ), the rear wall 9a of the handle recess is inclined, so that when the handle is set in the first closed handle position in the handle recess 9, a first finger accessible space 10 is formed between the cover 3 and the handle 8. In this way, the user can insert one or more fingers through the handle hole 8a and under the handle 8 to lift the handle and rotate the handle away from the first closed handle position when needed.
[0118] When the handle 8 is set in the open handle position, the handle 8 extends outward from the pivot axis AA' in a direction away from the cover 3 and the base 2. In the illustrated embodiment, the handle extends from the pivot axis AA' in a direction upward away from the cover. The handle 8 can be rotated about the pivot axis AA' from the first closed handle position or the second closed handle position to the open handle position as required. The user can insert one or more fingers through the hole 8a to hold the cover assembly. See Fig.16 and Fig.17 .
[0119] When the handle 8 is set in the second closed handle position, the handle 8 can extend backward in a direction below the pivot axis AA' and away from the pivot axis AA'. In the second closed handle position, the handle 8 can extend to the base side wall 2a in a direction substantially parallel to the base side wall 2a. Figures 18 to 20 In the embodiment shown, when set in the second closed handle position, the handle can abut the base side wall 2a to form a contact engagement. A second finger accessible space can be formed between the handle 8 and the base 2 to allow access to the handle when the handle is in the second closed handle position. In the embodiment shown, the second finger accessible space can be formed by the concave profile of the handle 8.
[0120] The lid assembly C may include a closed handle lock to releasably lock the handle 8 in the closed handle position. The closed handle lock may have any suitable configuration. In the embodiment shown in the figure, the lid assembly may include a first closed handle lock to releasably lock the handle in the first closed handle position. In (e.g., see Fig.17 ) In the embodiment described, the first closed handle lock includes a protrusion 11 formed in the recess 9 to form an abutting engagement with the handle 8 when the handle is in the first closed lid position in the recess 9. The lid assembly may include a second closed handle lock to releasably lock the handle in the second closed handle position.
[0121] The lid assembly C may include an open handle lock that releasably locks the handle 8 in the open handle position. The open handle lock may have any suitable configuration. Fig.17 ) In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 , the opening handle lock includes a protrusion 12 provided on the outer surface of one or more handle arms 8b, 8c to form an abutting engagement with the corresponding adjacent cover arms 3e, 3f.
[0122] As mentioned above, as shown in the figure (see Figures 21 to 36 ), the cover assembly C may include a cover lock 5 to releasably lock the cover 3 in a closed position relative to the base 2, thereby keeping the cover assembly closed. The cover lock may include any suitable locking device.
[0123] As shown in the embodiment of the figure, the cover lock 5 can be mounted on the base side wall 2a and at least approximately arranged below the plane of the base upper wall 2b. In this way, the user can approach the fluid outlet 2c under the condition of minimal interference (limited contact) with the cover lock 5.
[0124] The lid lock 5 may include a locking member LA which, when the lid 3 is disposed in the lid closed position, locks (engages) the lid 3. The locking member may be configured to provide a first locking effect to the lid 3 in the lid closed position.
[0125] The lid lock 5 may further include a locking member LO to lock the locking member. In addition to the first locking effect provided by the locking member LA, the locking member LO may be configured to provide a second locking effect to the lid 3 in the lid-closed position. In this way, the lid lock 5 provides a double locking effect to the lid 3. If the lid 3 is to be double-locked in the closed position, the lid may be locked by the locking member LA, and then the locking member LA may be locked by the locking member LO. In order to release the double-locked lid 3, the locking member LA may be unlocked from the locking member LO, and then the lid 3 may be released from the locking member LA.
[0126] The locking member LA can move between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to the cover 3 in the closed position. The locking member LA is configured to lock (engage) the cover 3 in the closed position when the locking member LA is set in the locked position. When the locking member LA is set in the unlocked position, the locking member LA is spaced apart from the cover plate 3 and cannot lock (engage) the cover 3 in the closed position.
[0127] The locking member LO can move between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to the locking member LA. When the locking member LO is set in the locked position, the locking member LA is fixed in the locked position and cannot move from the locked position to the unlocked position. When the locking member LO is set in the unlocked position, the locking member LA can move freely between the locked position and the unlocked position.
[0128] Fig.21 , Fig. 22 , Fig.25 and Fig.34 A cross-sectional view of an example of a lid lock 5 is depicted, wherein the locking member LO is arranged in the locked position and the locking member LA is arranged in the locked position. Thus, the lid 3 is doubly locked in the closed position by the lid lock 5 .
[0129] Fig.36 A cross-sectional view of an example of a lid lock 5 is described, wherein the locking member LO is set in the unlocked position and the locking member LA is set in the locked position. Therefore, the lid 3 is locked in the lid closed position only by the locking member LA. The locking member LA is unlocked from the locking member LO and can freely move between the locked position and the unlocked position as required.
[0130] Fig.24 and Fig.26 A cross-sectional view of an example of a lid lock 5 is depicted, wherein the locking member LO is arranged in an unlocked position and the locking member LA is arranged in an unlatched position. Thus, the lid 3 is released from the lid lock 5 and can be moved to an open lid position as desired.
[0131] The lid lock 5 may include a housing defined by a peripheral wall PW and a rear wall RW. The locking member LA and the locking member LO are mounted in the housing. The locking member LA is disposed at the rear of the locking member LO, between the locking member LO and the rear wall RW. The outer surface O of the locking member LO faces outward and is accessible to the user. The outer surface O of the locking member LO defines the outer surface of the lid lock 5. See Fig.21 , Fig. 22 and Fig.23 .
[0132] The locking member LA may include any suitable fastening means to lock the cover in the closed cover position. For example, in the described embodiment, the locking member LA may include a hook 5a that grabs and holds the cover buckle 3h when the locking member LA is in the locked position and the cover 3 is in the closed cover position. The hook 5a may be located at the upper end of the locking member LA and faces the base 2 and the cover 3.
[0133] As described above, when the locking member LO is set in the unlocked position, the locking member LA can move between the locked position and the unlocked position relative to the cover 3 in the closed position. In the locked position, the locking member LA is configured to engage the cover 3 in the closed position, thereby providing an initial locking effect on the cover (see, for example, Figure 8 , Fig.11 , Fig.15 , Fig.18 , Fig.21 , Fig. 22 , Fig.25 , Fig.34 and Fig.36 , wherein the cover 3 is set in the closed position, the locking member LA is set in the locked position, and the hook 5a is configured to engage the cover buckle 3h). In the unlocked position, the locking member LA is configured to have a distance from the cover 3, so that it cannot engage with the cover buckle 3h. In this way, when the locking member LA moves from the locked position to the unlocked position, the cover 3 is released from the locking member LA, and the cover 3 becomes free to move away from the closed position (for example, see Fig.12 , Fig.24 and Fig.26 , wherein the locking member LA is set in the unlocked position so that the hook 5a cannot engage the cover buckle 3h, and the cover 3 can freely rotate around the pivot hinge 4 from the closed position to the open position).
[0134] The locking member LA can move between the locked position and the unlocked position in any suitable motion or in any suitable direction. The lid lock 5 may include a locking member actuator to control the movement of the locking member LA between the locked position and the unlocked position. The locking member actuator may be a rotatable actuator, whereby the locking member LA can be rotated between the locked position and the unlocked position. For example, as shown in FIG. Fig.29 , Fig.32 , Fig.33 , Fig.36), the locking member actuator of the lid lock may include a pivot having a pivot axis XX', and the locking member LA can rotate between a locked position and an unlocked position around the pivot axis. The locking member LA can rotate around the pivot axis XX' in a direction toward the lid 3 (and the base 2) to set the locking member LA in the locked position. The locking member LA can rotate around the pivot axis XX' in a direction away from the lid 3 (and the base 2) to set the locking member LA in an unlocked position at a distance from the lid 3 (and the base 2).
[0135] As in the depicted embodiment, the lid lock 5 may include a toggle connecting the locking member LA and the locking member LO, whereby the toggle is configured to allow the locking member LA and the locking member LO to move as a combined unit between the locked position and the unlocked position. Thus, when the locking member actuator is activated, the locking member LA rotates together with the locking member LO about the pivot axis AA' between the locked position and the unlocked position.
[0136] The pivot of the locking member actuator can have any suitable pivot configuration. Figure 25 to Figure 29 , Fig.32 , Fig.33 , Fig.36 ), the pivot of the locking member actuator may include a pivot pin 5b to define a pivot axis XX'. The locking member LA may include a pivot hole 5c, through which the pivot pin extends, so that the locking member LA is rotationally coupled to the pivot pin 5b. The pivot hole 5c may be provided in a central region of the locking member LA. As shown, the pivot hole 5c may be formed in an inner surface of the locking member LA. The ends of the pivot pins 51b, 52b may be securely coupled to opposite sides of the housing peripheral wall PW, thereby mounting the pivot pin 5b in the housing.
[0137] The locking member actuator of the cover lock 5 may include a locking position abutment portion, which is configured to form an abutment engagement with the locking member LA or the locking member LO when the locking member is set in the locking position. The locking position abutment portion can control the rotation of the locking member LA to the locking position, thereby defining the locking position. Fig.21 , Fig. 22 , Fig.25 , Fig.34 and Fig.36 As shown, the locking member actuator of the lid lock may include a locking position abutment portion 5d protruding from the rear wall RW of the housing in the lid lock position, whereby the locking position abutment portion 5d is configured to form an abutment engagement with the inner surface of the locking member LA (interconnected to the locking member LO via a toggle) when the locking member LA is set in the locked position. Fig.21 , Fig. 22 , Fig.25 , Fig.34and Fig.36 ) described embodiment, the locking position abutment portion 5d can be configured to abut the locking member LA, thereby making the locking member LA substantially vertical in the locking position. The locking position abutment portion 5d can prevent the locking member LA from further rotating outside the locking position.
[0138] The locking member actuator of the cover lock 5 may include an unlocking abutment portion, which forms an abutment engagement with the locking member LA or the locking member LO when the locking member is set to the unlocking position. The unlocking position abutment portion can control the rotation of the locking member LA to the unlocking position, thereby defining the unlocking position. For example, Fig.24 and Fig.26 ), the locking member actuator of the cover lock 5 may include an unlocked position abutment portion 5e protruding from the rear wall RW of the housing in the cover lock position, whereby the unlocked position abutment portion 5e is configured to form an abutment engagement with a corresponding locking abutment portion 5h of the locking member LO when the locking member LO is set in the unlocked position and the locking member LA (connected to the locking member LO via a toggle) is set in the unlocked position. As shown (for example, see Fig.24 and Fig.26 ) embodiment, the locked position abutment portion 5e may be configured to abut the locking abutment portion 5h of the locking member LO, whereby the locking member LA is tilted away from the cover 3 (and the base 2) in the unlocked position. The locking abutment portion 5h of the locking member LO may be configured to form an abutment engagement with the lower side of the unlocked position abutment portion 5e when the locking member LA is set in the unlocked position and the locking member LO is set in the unlocked position. The locked position abutment portion 5e may be configured to allow the locking member LA to rotate about the pivot axis XX' from the locked position by about 10° to 30°. The locked position abutment portion 5e can prevent the locking member LA from rotating further outside the locked position.
[0139] The locking member LA may include a locking biasing member to bias the locking member LA toward the locked position; or, an unlocking biasing member to bias the locking member LA toward the unlocked position. The lid lock 5 may include a biasing spring to apply a biasing force to the locking member LA. For example, as shown in the embodiment, the lid lock may include a biasing spring 5f with a locked position biasing member. The biasing spring 5f may be arranged below the pivot axis XX' between the inner surface of the locking member LA and the rear wall RW of the housing to apply a biasing force toward the locked position to the locking member LA. The biasing spring 5f may bias the locking member LA to abut against the locked position abutment 5d. As shown in the figure, the biasing spring 5f may be mounted on the inner surface of the locking member LA and the spring mounting seat 5g in the lower area below the pivot hole 5c, so that the biasing spring is located below the pivot axis XX' of the pivot pin 5b.
[0140] The locking member actuator can be activated by a user to move the locking member LA from the locked position to the unlocked position, thereby releasing the cover 3. As shown in the embodiment, (because the locking member LA is arranged behind the locking member LO, and the locking member LA is connected to the locking member LO by a toggle joint) the locking member actuator can be activated by the user applying an unlocking force to the outer surface O of the locking member LO, for example, by pushing the outer surface O with a finger. When the unlocking force is applied to the lower area of the outer surface O below the pivot axis XX' of the pivot pin 5b, the unlocking force reacts on the locked position biasing member of the bias spring 5f, and the locking member (and the interconnected locking members LO) rotate from the locked position to the unlocked position around the pivot axis XX' of the pivot pin 5b. Thereby, the cover buckle 3h is released from the hook 5a and can be freely moved away from the closed cover position. See. Fig.25 and Fig.26 , wherein the closure member LA (and the interconnected locking member LO) is Fig.25 Move to the locked position in Fig.26 The unlock position in .
[0141] The locking member LO may include any suitable locking device to lock the locking member LA in the locked position, thereby prohibiting the locking member from moving from the locked position and the unlocked position. The locking member may include a locking member abutment portion configured to form an abutment engagement with the locking position abutment portion when the locking member is in the locked position. For example, as shown in FIG. Fig.21 , Fig. 22 , Fig.25 and Fig.34 ), the locking member may include a locking member abutment portion 5h configured to form an abutment engagement with the unlocking position abutment portion 5e when the locking member is in the locking position, whereby the abutment engagement axis YY' may be perpendicular to the pivot axis XX' of the pivot pin 5b to prevent the locking member LA from rotating from the locking position to the unlocking position around the pivot axis XX' of the pivot pin 5b. In this way, when the locking member LO is in the locking position, the locking member abutment portion 5h abuts against the unlocking position abutment portion 5e (serving as a locking position abutment portion), thereby prohibiting the locking member LA from moving from the locking position to the unlocking position.
[0142] As described above, the locking member LO can move between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to the locking member LA. When the locking member LO is set in the locked position, the locking member LA is fixed in the locked position so that it cannot move from the locked position to the unlocked position. When the locking member LO is set in the unlocked position, the locking member LA can move freely between the locked position and the unlocked position. The locking member can be set in the locked position to lock the locking member in the locked position, thereby providing a second locking effect on the cover. When it is necessary to open the cover assembly, the locking member can be set in the unlocked position to allow the locking member to move from the locked position to the unlocked position and release the cover. The locking member can be set in the locked position or in an alternative locked position to lock the locking member in the unlocked position, thereby prohibiting the cover from being locked in the closed position.
[0143] The locking member LO can move between the locked position and the unlocked position relative to the closure member LA in any suitable motion or in any suitable direction. The closure lock can include a locking member actuator to control the movement of the locking member LO. The closure member actuator can be a linear actuator, whereby the locking member LO slides in a linear direction between the locked position and the unlocked position relative to the closure member LA. As in the embodiment described in the figure, the toggle acts as a locking member actuator to control the movement of the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position relative to the closure member.
[0144] In the embodiment described in the figure, the toggle may include a protrusion, a locking position groove that forms a matching engagement with the protrusion when the locking member is set in the locking position, and an unlocking position groove that forms a matching engagement with the protrusion when the protrusion is set in the unlocking position. The protrusion and each groove are configured to control the movement direction and displacement of the locking member LO relative to the locking member LA between the locking position and the unlocking position. Under the action of the user's force, the protrusion can be elastically deformed to engage and separate with each groove, thereby allowing the locking member LO to move between the locking position and the unlocking position. The protrusion can include any suitable elastically deformable material, including plastic or rubber. The use of an elastically deformable protrusion allows the locking member LO to smoothly transition between the locking position and the unlocking position. The use of an elastically deformable protrusion is conducive to avoiding wear caused by the interconnection of the locking member LA and the locking member LO, thereby extending the life of the interconnected parts. The use of an elastically deformable protrusion can be conducive to allowing the user to feel the locking member LO moving between the groove to the locking position or the unlocking position. When the protrusion moves between the locking position groove and the unlocking position groove, a sound can be generated, which helps the user know that the locking member LO moves between the locking position and the unlocking position. The protrusion may be provided on the locking member LO. The locked position recess and the unlocked position recess may be provided on the closure member LA.
[0145] The user can activate the toggle joint as needed to move the locking member LO relative to the locking member LA between the locked position and the unlocked position. Figure 27 to Figure 29 , Figure 33 to Figure 36 ), when the toggle is configured to allow the locking member LO to move linearly relative to the locking member LA, the toggle can be configured to be activated by a user by applying a locking force to the outer surface O of the locking member, so that the locking member slides from the unlocked position to the locked position relative to the locking member in a linear locking direction. The locking force disengages the protrusion from the unlocked position groove and engages with the locked position groove. The toggle can be configured to be activated by a user by applying an unlocking force to the outer surface O of the locking member, so that the locking member slides from the locked position to the unlocked position relative to the locking member in a linear unlocking direction (opposite to the linear locking direction). The unlocking force disengages the protrusion from the locked position groove and engages with the unlocked position groove.
[0146] In the figure (see, for example, Figure 27 to Figure 29 , Figure 33 to Figure 36 ) In the embodiment described in the foregoing, the cover lock includes a first toggle and a second toggle. The first toggle includes a first protrusion P1, a first locking position groove LPR1, and a first unlocking position groove UPR1. The second toggle includes a second protrusion P2, a second locking position groove LPR2, and a second unlocking position groove UPR2. The protrusions are arranged on the relative inner surfaces of the locking member LO. The grooves are arranged on the relative side edges of the locking member LA. The grooves of each toggle are linearly arranged along the side edges of the locking member LA, and when the protrusions move between the plurality of grooves, the locking member LO moves linearly relative to the locking member LA. The linear distance between each locking position groove and the corresponding unlocking position groove defines the linear displacement of the locking member LO relative to the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position.
[0147] Fig.33 and Fig.34 An external view, an internal view and a cross-sectional view of the lid lock 5 are shown, wherein the locking member LO is set in a locked position relative to the locking member LA, and the locking member LA is set in a locked position. In this way, the lid 3 is doubly locked by the lid lock 5. As described, the protrusions P1 and P2 are set to cooperate with the corresponding locking position grooves LPR1 and LPR2. The locking abutment 5h is set to abut and engage with the unlocking position abutment 5e (wherein the abutment engagement axis YY' between the locking abutments 5h and 5e is perpendicular to the pivot axis XX') to prohibit the locking member LA from rotating away from the locked position. The hook 5a is set to lock and engage with the lid buckle 3h.
[0148] Fig.35 and Fig.36The external view, internal view and cross-sectional view of the lid lock are shown, wherein the locking member LO is set in the unlocking position relative to the locking member LA, and the locking member LA is set in the locking position. In this way, the lid 3 is locked by the lid lock 5 alone. As described, the hook 5a is set to engage with the lid buckle 3h. The protrusions P1 and P2 are set to cooperate with the corresponding unlocking position grooves UPR1 and UPR2 to move the locking abutment 5h away from the unlocking position abutment 5e. In this way, the locking member LA can be freely rotated between the locked position and the unlocking position as required.
[0149] As described above, the user can activate the toggle joint as needed to move the locking member LO relative to the locking member LA between the locked position and the unlocked position. Fig.33 and Fig.34 As shown, the first and second toggles can be configured to be activated by applying a locking force on the outer surface O of the locking member LO, so that the locking member slides from the unlocked position to the locked position relative to the locking member LA in a linear locking direction. The locking force causes the protrusions P1 and P2 to disengage from their respective unlocked position grooves UPR1 and unlocked position grooves UPR2 and engage with their respective locked position grooves LPR1 and locked position grooves LPR2. For example, as Fig.35 and Fig.36 As shown, the first and second toggles can be configured to be activated by applying an unlocking force on the outer surface O of the locking member LO, so that the locking member slides from the locked position to the unlocked position relative to the locking member LA in a linear unlocking direction (opposite to the linear locking direction). The unlocking force causes the protrusions P1 and P2 to disengage from their respective corresponding locking position grooves LPR1 and locking position grooves LPR2 and engage with their respective corresponding unlocking position grooves UPR1 and unlocking position grooves UPR2.
[0150] The lid lock may include a guide to guide the movement of the locking member LO relative to the locking member LA between the locked position and the unlocked position. When the locking member moves between the locked position and the unlocked position, the guide is configured to guide the movement direction and displacement of the locking member LO. Fig.30 , Fig.31 , Fig.32 , Fig.33 , Fig.35 ), the guide may include a pair of corresponding guide holes G formed in the locking member LO to receive each end 51b, 52b of the pivot pin. When the locking member LO moves between the locked position and the unlocked position, the guide holes G may be configured to guide the movement of the locking member LO relative to the pivot pin 51b and the locking member LA. The guide holes G may be elongated holes for guiding the linear movement and linear displacement of the locking member relative to the pivot pin and the locking member between the locked position and the unlocked position.
[0151] In order to double lock the cover 3, the locking member LA can be set to the locked position to lock the cover 3, and the locking member LO can be set to the locked position to lock the locking member LA in the locked position. Fig.21 , Fig. 22 , Fig.25 and Fig.34 An embodiment of the cover assembly C is shown, in which the cover 3 is doubly locked by the cover lock 5, whereby the locking member LA is set in the locked position to lock the cover buckle 3h, and the locking member LO is set in the locked position to lock the locking member LA.
[0152] To release the cover, the locking member LO can be set to the unlocking position so that the locking member LA can be freely moved away from the locking position, and the locking member LA can be set to the unlocking position to unlock the cover. Fig.35 and Fig.36 An embodiment of the cover assembly in which the locking member LO is initially set in the unlocked position to unlock the locking member LA. See also Fig.24 and Fig.26 An embodiment of the cover assembly in which the cover 3 is released from the cover lock 5, whereby the locking member LO is set in an unlocking position to unlock the locking member LA, and the locking member LA is set in an unlocking position to unlock the cover buckle 3h.
