Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of stirring casting, and in particular to a homogenous casting device based on in-situ reaction of turbulent melt and a use method thereof. Background Art
[0002] As the demand for metal materials in application fields continues to increase, high-uniformity metal alloys and high-uniformity metal-based composite materials are highly valued. Powder metallurgy can achieve material uniformity, but its high cost, easy pollution, and molding temperature below the melting point limit its development. Stir casting technology is expected to obtain high-uniformity metal alloys and their composite materials at a low cost.
[0003] Stirring casting is a casting technology designed to increase the fluidity and uniformity of metals. It usually uses a mechanical stirring slurry to accelerate the flow of the melt, thereby achieving mixing and uniformity in casting. This stirring method has high requirements for the material of the stirring paddle. On the one hand, it must be resistant to high temperatures, and on the other hand, it must not react with any components in the melt. In addition, it is difficult to ensure the overall stirring effect during the high viscosity stage of the solidification of the metal melt. When the stirring speed is high, cavitation will be continuously generated in the melt, which is not conducive to improving the metallurgical quality of the ingot. On the other hand, for components with high density differences, although mechanical stirring paddle stirring casting can achieve mixing in the melt state, it is difficult to maintain the mixed state of the melt to a solid through rapid solidification, because once the stirring slurry is separated from the melt, it will cause stratification of the melt. If it is not separated, it will be wrapped in the ingot, affecting the quality and yield of the ingot.
[0004] The inventors of the present invention previously disclosed a dual-axis centrifugal stirring casting device and a mixed metal smelting casting method in CN114749622A, which mainly utilizes revolution combined with rotation to realize centrifugal motion, thereby generating a turbulent structure and realizing micro- and nano-level uniform distribution of the doped phase in the alloy melt. However, the device still has defects, such as being unable to realize orderly in-situ reaction in the turbulent structure, no directional solidification, non-dispersion of agglomerates, serious wall sticking phenomenon, and difficulty in demolding. [0018] The present invention also provides a method for using a homogenous casting device based on an in-situ reaction of a turbulent melt, comprising the following steps:
[0019] (1) Preparatory work is performed: heating and melting the original melt in the graphite crucible 20, preheating the pre-added liquid 5, and wrapping the pre-added solid 7 to be added to the reaction with a metal foil of the same element as the original melt; assembling the amplitude device 23 and the vibrator base 24 into the periodic vibrator 12, placing it at the bottom of the self-rotating rotating cylinder 11, and assembling the bracket group 17, the heat insulating material 18, the partition group 19, the heat absorber 21 and the supporting base 22 into the turbulent melt reaction casting body 1;
[0020] (2) Loading process: the pre-added solid 7 is placed in the solid chamber 6, the pre-heated pre-added liquid 5 is placed in the liquid chamber 4, the pre-added gas is filled into the gas chamber 3, and the gas chamber 3, the liquid chamber 4 and the solid chamber 6 are assembled in sequence from top to bottom; the graphite crucible 20 is covered with the boss cover 16 and loaded into the turbulent melt reaction casting body 1 together with the melt inside, the turbulent melt reaction casting body 1 is placed in the self-rotating rotating drum 11, and fixed on the top of the periodic vibrator 12, and the drum cover 2 is covered, so that the reactor is assembled; the solid pipeline 10, the liquid pipeline 9 and the gas pipeline 8 are respectively installed in the solid chamber 6, the liquid chamber 4 and the gas chamber 3, and the combined chamber is installed on the revolving shaft 14, and the solid pipeline 10, the liquid pipeline 9 and the gas pipeline 8 are all rotatably connected to the boss cover 16, so that the feeder is assembled;
[0021] (3) Start-up process: start the vacuum pump to pump the air pressure of the vacuum chamber after loading to below 0.1 Pa; turn off the vacuum pump, start the orbital motor and the self-rotating motor synchronously to drive the orbital shaft 14 and the self-rotating shaft 13 to rotate respectively, and as the rotation speed increases, the pre-added liquid 5 and the pre-added solid 7 in the liquid chamber 4 and the solid chamber 6 enter the graphite crucible 20 through the liquid pipeline 9 and the solid pipeline 10 respectively, open the control valve to introduce gas, and introduce the gas from the gas chamber 3 and the gas pipeline 8 into the graphite crucible 20; control the inflow and introduction time of the gas by the control valve, and adjust the addition time of the pre-added solid 7 by the rotating channel and the slot structure inside the solid chamber 6;
[0022] (4) Reaction process: As the rotation speed increases, the mixed melt in the graphite crucible 20 forms a central vortex under the combined action of revolution and rotation. When the revolution and rotation speeds both exceed 300 rpm, the mixed melt gradually enters a turbulent state, that is, small vortices and micro vortices continue to appear in the central vortex, which greatly accelerates the exchange and convection of substances in the mixed melt; at this time, the added solids, liquids and gases will be quickly drawn into the mixed melt by the turbulent vortex, and will be continuously decomposed and split by the vortices at all levels, and multiple in-situ reactions will be rapidly carried out in the mixed melt; as the rotation speed reaches more than 1500 rpm, the in-situ reaction has been fully carried out, and the reaction products are evenly dispersed in the existing melt;
[0023] (5) Solidification process: After the added solids, liquids and gases have completed the in-situ reaction, the vacuum pump is started again. After maintaining a high speed for a period of time, the heat of the existing melt is gradually transferred from the bottom of the graphite crucible 20 to the heat absorber 21. The bottom of the graphite crucible 20 closest to the heat absorber 21 is the first to solidify. The existing melt will solidify from the bottom to the top in sequence. As the vacuum degree increases, the gas dissolved in the existing melt is gradually discharged to obtain a directionally solidified metal ingot. The periodic vibrator 12 generates high-frequency axial vibration as the rotation speed increases, which greatly alleviates the adhesion between the solidified metal and the wall of the graphite crucible 20.
[0024] (6) Material removal process: After complete solidification, the components are unloaded in sequence according to the reverse process of assembly, and the metal ingot and heat absorber 21 in the graphite crucible 20 are taken out and water-cooled to room temperature, while the remaining components can be air-cooled.
[0025] Preferably, according to different in-situ reaction requirements, one, two or three of the gas chamber, solid chamber and liquid chamber are selectively used.
[0026] The working principle of the present invention is: under the combined action of high-speed revolution and rotation, the mixed melt in the reactor appears turbulent state, and the material flow in the mixed melt is greatly improved. At this time, under the action of the centrifugal force of revolution, the gas, solid and liquid in the feeder enter the metal melt in the reactor, and while adding, immediate stirring and mixing and sufficient in-situ reaction are achieved. While the in-situ reaction in the melt, the reaction product is fully dispersed under the action of turbulence, the higher the rotation speed, the better the overall dispersion, and the smaller the scale of dispersion. After the reaction is completed, the melt gradually realizes rapid directional solidification from the bottom to the top, and synchronous periodic vibration and vacuuming can maintain the dispersed state in the melt, which is conducive to the gradual discharge of dissolved gas in the high-temperature melt, improves the metallurgical quality of the ingot, and is also conducive to the smooth demoulding of the metal ingot.
[0027] It needs to be further explained that, regarding the heat absorber, although it is placed in the turbulent melt reaction casting body 1 from the beginning, and the melt is cooled after entering, the melt needs to be put in at a temperature above the melting point. Because of the existence of overheat, it will not cool down immediately even if it is cooled. When the turbulent melt reaction casting body 1 rotates and revolves, the heat exchange of the melt will be accelerated, thereby achieving solidification while rotating.
[0028] Compared with the prior art, the beneficial effects of the present invention are mainly reflected in:
[0029] 1. The in-situ reaction is sufficient and the size uniformity of the reaction products is good. The device is conducive to the solid / liquid, liquid / liquid and gas / liquid reactions and the rapid dispersion of the reaction products in the metal melt, and the in-situ generation of composite phases or the in-situ addition of composite phases. Interface modification. Especially for reactions with strong reaction dynamics, this solution can greatly reduce the problem of excessive local reaction products, thereby improving the size uniformity of the reaction products. Because it is a synchronous reaction and dispersion process, the reaction is usually not limited by the melt viscosity and diffusion rate under the condition that the turbulent effect greatly improves the material exchange, which greatly increases the chance of continuous reaction, thereby achieving full reaction.
[0030] 2. Periodic vibration and revolution and rotation produce synergistic effects. Revolution and rotation make the high-temperature melt enter a turbulent state, forming vortices of different sizes. The introduction of periodic vibration further breaks up the agglomerates in the melt. The three work together to produce a more complete homogenization effect.
[0031] 3. The vibration driving force of the periodic vibrator comes from rotation. The support shaft is arranged inside the rotating shaft. The rotating shaft rotates while the support shaft does not rotate, thereby generating relative motion. Combined with the ingenious structural design of the periodic vibrator, periodic vibration is achieved through rotation. Therefore, the turbulent melt reaction casting body not only has revolution and rotation but also periodic vibration. As the rotation speed increases, the frequency of axial vibration increases, which not only achieves the breakage of agglomerates in the melt, but also greatly alleviates the adhesion between the solidified metal and the wall of the graphite crucible, and is also conducive to the smooth demolding of the metal ingot.
[0032] 4. A heat absorber is provided at the bottom of the graphite crucible, which can realize directional solidification from the bottom to the top, obtain directional and single crystal structure, and greatly improve the comprehensive performance of the material.
[0033] 5. Fast casting speed and high casting efficiency. The device can provide very fast reaction speed and melt heat exchange speed. It usually takes only a few minutes from starting rotation to completing solidification and ending rotation. Compared with traditional casting which takes several hours, the efficiency is greatly improved.
[0034] 6. The pre-added solids and liquids are "thrown" out of the pipe by the centrifugal force of revolution and enter the graphite crucible. There is no need to use a control valve, and the addition time and order can be better controlled.
[0035] 7. The graphite crucible is designed to be in an octagonal prism shape and is placed in a cubic space formed by the inner squares of the circular partitions of each layer. The octagonal prism shape just fits the cubic space. The reason why the graphite crucible is not designed to be in a cubic shape is to reduce the weight of the graphite crucible.
[0036] 8. The unique design of the support assembly's bracket group, partition group and support base has stable supporting performance, which can achieve both side insulation and directional solidification. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0060] (3) Start-up process: start the vacuum pump to pump the air pressure of the vacuum chamber after loading to below 0.1 Pa; turn off the vacuum pump, start the orbital motor and the self-rotating motor synchronously to drive the orbital shaft 14 and the self-rotating shaft 13 to rotate respectively, and as the rotation speed increases, the pre-added liquid 5 and the pre-added solid 7 in the liquid chamber 4 and the solid chamber 6 enter the graphite crucible 20 through the liquid pipeline 9 and the solid pipeline 10 respectively, open the control valve to introduce gas, and introduce the gas from the gas chamber 3 and the gas pipeline 8 into the graphite crucible 20; control the inflow and introduction time of the gas by the control valve, and adjust the addition time of the pre-added solid 7 by the rotating channel and the slot structure inside the solid chamber 6;
[0061] (4) Reaction process: As the rotation speed increases, the mixed melt in the graphite crucible 20 forms a central vortex under the combined action of revolution and rotation. When the revolution and rotation speeds both exceed 300 rpm, the mixed melt gradually enters a turbulent state, that is, small vortices and micro vortices continue to appear in the central vortex, which greatly accelerates the exchange and convection of substances in the mixed melt; at this time, the added solids, liquids and gases will be quickly drawn into the mixed melt by the turbulent vortex, and will be continuously decomposed and split by the vortices at all levels, and multiple in-situ reactions will be rapidly carried out in the mixed melt; as the rotation speed reaches more than 1500 rpm, the in-situ reaction has been fully carried out, and the reaction products are evenly dispersed in the existing melt;

[0064] Specifically, according to different in-situ reaction requirements, one, two or three of the gas chamber, the solid chamber and the liquid chamber are selectively used.
