In the using process of the metal casting mold, when a gap exists between the upper mold and the lower mold, the pointer is stressed to rotate through transmission, whether the gap exists between the upper mold and the lower mold after mold closing or not can be judged more directly and visually according to whether the pointer rotates or not, and in the rotating process of the pointer, the rotating direction of the pointer can be adjusted according to the rotating direction of the pointer. The general position of the gap between the upper die and the lower die can be preliminarily judged, in the rotating process of the pointer, the rotating amplitude of the pointer is recognized through the dial gauge, and the size of the gap can be known conveniently through amplitude recognition.
