A catia-based harness whole-process motion simulation method

By using CATIA to simulate the entire motion process of wire harnesses, the problem of existing technologies being unable to accurately determine the damage to wire harnesses during complex motion processes is solved. It provides an intuitive analysis of wire harnesses during motion, improving the accuracy of design and the reliability of products.

Abstract

The application belongs to the field of CAE engineering simulation and electrical interconnection system engineering technology, and particularly relates to a wire harness whole-process motion simulation method based on CATIA, which comprises the following steps: 1) constructing a motion mechanism simulation model; 2) defining main attributes affecting wire harness motion; 3) establishing a wire harness simulation model; 4) simulating the wire harness on the motion mechanism based on the wire harness simulation model, and updating the wire harness simulation model in real time, while selecting the most extreme state section at each time form of the motion wire harness section to perform compliance analysis; 5) if the compliance analysis is passed, each time picture containing the wire harness simulation model is output, and the screenshot under a fixed view angle is regenerated into a video through video synthesis software, and if the compliance analysis is not passed, the step 2) is returned. The application is suitable for relatively complex motion, and can more intuitively output analysis results of length, form, bending degree, stretching and stress concentration points of the wire harness in the motion process.
