Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a diaper article having multiple layers of absorbent bodies, which allows the absorbent article to be used a second time after removing one absorbent body. Background Art

[0002] Diaper articles for personal hygiene, such as disposable taped diapers, disposable pants, and adult incontinence underwear, are designed to absorb and hold various body exudates, including urine, menstrual fluid, and fecal matter. It is desirable to have a diaper article with multiple absorbents that allows a second use after first soiling. Such diaper articles need to have multiple absorbents, wherein a first absorbent can be removed after first soiling, thereby exposing another absorbent. Such diaper articles with multiple absorbents can provide convenience by allowing the absorbent to be removed without completely removing clothing. This convenience may be particularly desirable during vacations or during cold seasons. Diaper articles with multiple absorbents can also provide protection for materials.

[0003] Diaper articles with multiple absorbent bodies are known in the art, such as in US5613959, US2017 / 0216111A, US2017 / 0216106A, and US2017 / 0239099 A. Although such diaper articles are known, they may need improvement in actual use.

[0004] For example, those diaper articles known in the art may not allow for adequate containment, leakage protection, or wearing comfort before and after removal of the primary absorbent body.

[0005] Based on the above, there is a need for a diaper product with a multi-layer absorbent body that maintains containment and wearing comfort for the first use as well as the second use. There is also a need for a diaper product that addresses the issues of consumers who are conscious of the sustainable use of materials. Summary of the Invention

[0031] definition

[0032] As used herein, the following terms shall have the meanings specified below:

[0033] "Pants" refers to disposable absorbent articles with a pre-formed waist opening and leg openings. Pants are donned by inserting the wearer's legs into the leg openings and pulling the pants into position around the wearer's lower torso. Pants are also commonly referred to as "closed diapers," "pre-fastened diapers," "pull-on diapers," "training pants," and "diaper pants."

[0034] "Longitudinal" means the direction extending substantially perpendicularly from one waist edge to the opposite waist edge of the article and generally parallel to the largest linear dimension of the article.

[0035] "Transverse" refers to a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

[0036] "Proximal" and "distal" refer to locations closer to or farther from, respectively, the longitudinal center of the article.

[0037] "Wearer-facing" and "garment-facing" refer to the relative position of an element or surface of an element or group of elements, respectively. "Wearer-facing" means that the element or surface is closer to the wearer during wear than some other elements or surfaces. "Garment-facing" means that the element or surface is farther from the wearer during wear than some other elements or surfaces (i.e., the element or surface is closer to the wearer's clothing, which may be worn over a disposable diaper article).

[0038] "Disposed" means that an element is located at a specific position or location.

[0039] "Joined" refers to configurations in which one element is directly secured to another element by being attached directly to the other element; it also refers to configurations in which one element is indirectly secured to another element by being attached to an intermediate member which is then attached to the other element.

[0040] "Film" refers to a sheet of material in which the length and width of the material greatly exceed the thickness of the material. Typically, a film has a thickness of about 0.5 mm or less.

[0041] "Nonwoven," "nonwoven layer," or "nonwoven web" are used interchangeably to refer to an engineered fiber assembly that is primarily planar and has been imparted a designed level of structural integrity by physical and / or chemical means, but does not include weaving, knitting, or papermaking (ISO 9092:2019 definition). Directed or randomly oriented fibers are bonded by friction and / or cohesion and / or adhesion. These fibers may be derived from natural or synthetic sources and may be staple fibers or continuous filaments or fibers formed in situ. Commercially available fibers have diameters ranging from less than about 0.001 mm to greater than about 0.2 mm, and they come in several different forms, such as staple fibers (known as chemical staple fibers or chopped fibers), continuous single fibers (filaments or monofilaments), bundles of untwisted continuous filaments (tows), and bundles of twisted continuous filaments (yarns). Nonwoven webs can be formed by many methods, such as meltblowing, spunbonding, solution spinning, electrospinning, carding, and air-laid. The basis weight of nonwoven webs is usually expressed in grams per square meter (g / m 2 or gsm).

[0042] "Water permeability" and "water impermeability" refer to the permeability of a material within the context of its intended use for disposable diaper articles. Specifically, the term "water permeable" refers to a layer or layered structure having pores, openings, and / or interconnected void spaces that permits liquid water, urine, or synthetic urine to penetrate through its thickness in the absence of an applied pressure. Conversely, the term "water impermeable" refers to a layer or layered structure that is impermeable to liquid water, urine, or synthetic urine in the absence of an applied pressure (other than natural forces such as gravity). According to this definition, a water impermeable layer or layered structure may be permeable to water vapor, i.e., "vapor permeable."

[0043] " hydrophilic " has been described and can be deposited on the substrate surface of the aqueous fluid (for example, aqueous body fluid) moistening on these substrates.Hydrophilicity and wettability are usually defined according to the contact angle and the soak-through time of fluid for example by nonwoven fabric. In the publication of the American Chemical Society that is entitled " Contact angle, Wettability and Adhesion " (copyright 1964) that Robert F. Gould writes, this is discussed in detail. When the contact angle between fluid and the surface was less than 90 °, or when fluid tended to spread spontaneously along the substrate surface, it can be said that this substrate surface was wetted by fluid (i.e. hydrophilic), and these two conditions coexisted usually. On the contrary, if the contact angle is greater than 90 ° and fluid can not spread spontaneously along the fiber surface, then think that substrate is " hydrophobic ".

[0044] "Extensibility" and "extensible" mean that the width or length of a component in a relaxed state can be extended or increased.

[0045] "Elasticated" and "elasticized" mean that the component includes at least a portion made of an elastic material.

[0046] "Extensible material," "extensible material," or "stretchable material" are used interchangeably and refer to a material that, upon application of a biasing force, can be stretched to an elongated length of at least about 110% of its relaxed initial length (i.e., stretchable to more than 10% of its initial length) without rupturing or breaking, and exhibits minimal recovery upon release of the applied force, i.e., recovering less than about 20% of its elongation, without completely rupturing or breaking, as measured by EDANA method 20.2-89. In the event that such an extensible material recovers at least 40% of its elongation upon release of the applied force, the extensible material will be considered "elastic" or "elastomeric." For example, an elastic material having an initial length of 100 mm can extend to at least 150 mm, and upon removal of the force, it retracts to a length of at least 130 mm (i.e., exhibits 40% recovery). In the event that the material recovers less than 40% of its elongation upon release of the applied force, the extensible material will be considered "substantially inelastic" or "substantially non-elastomeric." For example, an extensible material having an initial length of 100 mm can extend to at least 150 mm and retract to a length of at least 145 mm when the force is removed (ie, exhibit a 10% recovery).

[0047] Unless otherwise indicated, the "size," "length," "width," "pitch," "diameter," "aspect ratio," "angle," and "area" of an article are measured with the article stretched to its fully stretched perimeter W1 as described herein under the "Full Article Force Measurement" and using a ruler or a small magnifying glass.

[0048] "Observed original" refers to a visual representation of color that can be observed by the naked eye, provided by printing or other means. Printing includes various methods and equipment well known to those skilled in the art, such as lithographic printing, screen printing, flexographic printing, and gravure inkjet printing.

[0049] As used herein, "color" or "colored" includes any primary color other than white, namely black, red, blue, violet, orange, yellow, green, and indigo, and any variations thereof or mixtures thereof. a b Color system, white is defined as having an L of at least 94 value, equal to 0±2a The sum of the values equals 0±2 The colors of the values. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0050] Diaper products and absorbent components

[0051] Figures 1A to 1B The present invention is a perspective view of an embodiment of a pant-type diaper article (10) of the present invention comprising an absorbent assembly (20) and an application member (40). The absorbent assembly (20) comprises a first absorbent body (38), a second absorbent body (39) disposed on the garment-facing side of the first absorbent body, and a chassis (100) disposed on the garment-facing side of a second absorbent core, wherein the first absorbent body (38) and the second absorbent body (39) are bonded by a temporary bond (TB) that enables the first absorbent body (38) to be removed from the remainder of the diaper article (10). The diaper article (10) of the present invention has multiple layers of absorbent bodies (38, 39) so that the diaper article (10) can be used more than once. Therefore, the chassis (100) and the application member (40) can be used more than once, thereby contributing to the sustainable use of materials. In addition, the first absorbent body (38) can be removed from the remainder of the diaper article (10) without having to completely remove the diaper article (10) from the wearer, thereby facilitating easy diaper changing.

[0052] refer to Figures 2A to 2B , the absorbent assembly (20) has a longitudinal centerline LX which also serves as the longitudinal axis, and a transverse centerline TX which also serves as the transverse axis. Figures 2A to 2B is a schematic plan view of an embodiment of an absorbent assembly of the present invention showing the front side on the top and the back side on the bottom, wherein the wearer-facing side is shown above TX with the cuff material (110), cuff elastic elements, and any portion of the first absorbent body extending outwardly from the lateral edges of the first topsheet removed. That is, above TX, the cuff material (110) and cuff elastic elements (33, 35, 37) are removed. Thus, the entire first topsheet (241) and any elements extending beyond the size of the first topsheet (241) are shown. Towards Figures 2A to 2B On the upper left side of the first top sheet (241), elements of the first absorbent body (38) are exposed and shown below the first top sheet (241). In addition, elements of the second absorbent body (39) are exposed and shown below the first outer cover (421). Figure 2A and Figure 2B The TX below shows a state in which any elastic hoop element (33, 35) is fully stretched. Figure 2A and Figure 2B To the right of the LX and below the TX, only the elements of the first absorbent body are shown. Figure 2A and Figure 2BIn the lower left side of the figure, only the second absorbent body and chassis elements are shown on the left side of the LX and below the TX. In addition, in this lower left side of the figure, the chassis (100) elements are exposed and shown below the nonwoven material forming the chassis outer cuff (34).

[0053] refer to Figure 2A 、 Figure 2B 、 Figure 3A and Figure 3B , the first absorbent body (38) and the rest of the diaper article (39, 100) each carry basic components to provide the function as an absorbent diaper article (10). Specifically, the first absorbent body (38) includes a first water-permeable top sheet (241), a first water-impermeable bottom sheet (251), a first absorbent core (621) disposed between the first top sheet and the first bottom sheet, and a first outer covering member (421). The first outer covering member (421) serves as an interface between the second absorbent body (39) on which a temporary bonding portion (TB) is disposed. The second absorbent body (39) includes a second water-permeable top sheet (242) and a second absorbent core (622). The second top sheet (242) serves as an interface between the first absorbent body (38) on which a temporary bonding portion (TB) is disposed. A chassis (100) is disposed on the garment-facing side of the second absorbent core, the chassis (100) including a water-impermeable chassis backsheet (252) that acts as a barrier to prevent leakage of exudates absorbed by and contained within any absorbent body within the absorbent assembly (20). When only the first absorbent body and the second absorbent body (38, 39) are present, the second absorbent body (39) may be free of the second backsheet.

[0054] The absorbent assembly (20) of the present invention is assembled with an elastic belt (40) to form a pant-type absorbent article. Figure 4 The diaper article (10) may include an elastic band (40), wherein the elastic band (40) may be formed of a nonwoven material and / or a woven material in combination with an elastic material (such as an elastomer and an elastic film), which will be discussed in further detail below. The pant-type diaper article (10) of the present invention can be used more than once while also having an appropriate thickness and, therefore, being comfortable to wear. The diaper article (10) of the present invention may have a folded thickness of not more than about 12.5 mm, as measured herein. By providing a diaper article within this folded thickness, the article provides an aesthetic and tactile feel similar to a diaper article having a single absorbent body.

[0055] Topsheet, backsheet and outer cover

[0056] refer to Figure 2A 、 Figure 2B 、 Figure 3A and Figure 3BThe absorbent bodies (38, 39) of the present invention each include a permeable top sheet (241, 242) that can be positioned to at least partially contact or be in close proximity to the wearer. The first absorbent body and the second absorbent body (38, 39) can be made of the same or different materials. Suitable top sheets (241, 242) can be made from a wide range of materials, such as porous foam; reticulated foam; open-cell plastic film; or a woven or non-woven web composed of natural fibers (e.g., wood fibers or cotton fibers), synthetic fibers (e.g., polyester fibers or polypropylene fibers), or a combination of natural fibers and synthetic fibers. The top sheets (241, 242) are generally compliant, soft-feeling, and non-irritating to the wearer's skin. The top sheets (241, 242) are liquid permeable, allowing body fluids to easily penetrate through the thickness of the top sheets (241, 242). Exemplary topsheets (241, 242) suitable for use herein include those made from a carded nonwoven substrate comprising PE / PET bicomponent fibers, available from Xiamen Yanjiang New Materials Co., Ltd., available from Fibertex NiLai, Malaysia under the trade name H30501221, or available from FQN Hazlet NJ, USA under the trade name SB1206169. As is known in the art, any portion of the topsheet (241, 242) may be coated with a lotion or skin care composition. Examples of suitable lotions include those described in U.S. Patent Nos. 5,607,760; 5,609,587; 5,635,191; and 5,643,588.

[0057] The first absorbent body (38) and chassis (100) of the present invention each include a water-impermeable backsheet (251, 252) designed to prevent exudates absorbed by and contained within the absorbent core (621, 622) from soiling articles that may contact the diaper article (10), such as bed sheets and underwear. The first absorbent body (38) and chassis (100) may be made of the same or different materials. The backsheet (251, 252) may be positioned so that it extends beyond the absorbent core (621, 622) disposed on the wearer-facing side of a particular backsheet (251, 252) in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. Suitable backsheet (251, 252) materials include films such as those manufactured by Plaster Argentina under the trade name PLBA NBBS 10-12GSM PR V1. Other suitable backsheet (251, 252) materials may include breathable materials that allow vapor to escape from the diaper article (10) while still preventing exudates from passing through the backsheet (251, 252). Exemplary breathable materials may include materials such as woven webs, nonwoven webs, composite materials such as film-coated nonwoven webs, and microporous films, such as those manufactured by Daika Japan under the trade name MPF DKH-180 15G V7 and by Berry Nashville, TN under the trade name BR-137P V13. Such breathable composite materials are described in more detail in PCT Application No. WO 95 / 16746 and U.S. Patent No. 5,865,823. Other breathable backsheets including nonwoven webs and apertured formed films are described in U.S. Patent No. 5,571,096. Exemplary suitable backsheets are disclosed in U.S. Patent No. 6,107,537. Other suitable materials and / or manufacturing techniques may be used to provide a suitable backsheet, including but not limited to surface treatments, specific film selection and processing, specific filament selection and processing, etc.

[0058] The first absorbent body (38) includes a first outer cover (421) that serves as an interface between the first absorbent body (39) and the second absorbent body (39). The first outer cover (421) can be made of a soft nonwoven material. The first outer cover (421) and the first backsheet (251) can be joined together by an adhesive or any other suitable material or method. An optional chassis outer cover (422) can also be provided on the garment-facing side of the chassis backsheet (252) to provide a finished appearance to the diaper product. Exemplary outer covers (421, 422) suitable for the present invention include those outer covers made of a spunbond nonwoven substrate containing PP fibers purchased from Guanhe Hygiene Products Sdn Bhd under the trade designation S31921A, purchased from Fibertex NiLai, Malaysia under the trade designation A10160EJ-MALAYSIA, and purchased from FQN Hazlet NJ, USA under the trade designation SM1104174.

[0059] absorbent core

[0060] refer to Figure 2A 、 Figure 2B 、 Figure 3A and Figure 3B The absorbent bodies (38, 39) of the present invention each include an absorbent core (621, 622) disposed on the wearer-facing side for absorbing and containing body exudates. The absorbent core (621, 622) may include an absorbent layer and an acquisition system. The absorbent layer is an area where an absorbent material with a high retention capacity, such as a superabsorbent polymer, is present. The absorbent layer may be substantially free of cellulose. Alternatively, the absorbent layer may contain cellulose. There may be an absorbent layer primarily containing cellulose and another absorbent layer primarily containing superabsorbent polymer.

[0061] The superabsorbent polymer of the absorbent layer may be arranged between a first material layer and a second material layer fixed by a fiber layer of thermoplastic adhesive material. The first material layer and the second material layer may be non-woven fiber webs, including synthetic fibers, such as single-component fibers of PE, PET and PP, multi-component fibers such as parallel type, core / sheath type or island-in-the-sea type fibers. Such synthetic fibers may be formed via a spunbond process or a meltblown process. Some portions of the absorbent layer may be constructed to be substantially free of absorbent material to form one channel or multiple channels. The channels may be used to allow the absorbent core (621, 622) to bend when swollen by a fluid, so that the crotch region conforms to the wearer's body after swelling and prevents the diaper product (10) from sagging. Multiple absorbent layers may be provided in the absorbent core (621, 622).

[0062] Alternatively, the absorbent core (621, 622) may comprise a high loft material comprising superabsorbent polymers. The term "high loft" refers to a low density, loose fabric compared to a flat, paper-like fabric. High loft webs are characterized by a relatively high porosity. This means that there is a relatively high amount of void space in which superabsorbent polymer particles can be distributed. The high loft material (without superabsorbent particles) may have a density of less than 0.20 g / cm2 at a pressure of 4.14 kPa (0.6 psi). 3 The density is especially at 0.05g / cm 3 to 0.15g / cm 3 The high loft layer (without superabsorbent particles) may have a density of less than 0.20 g / cm at a pressure of 2.07 kPa (0.3 psi). 3 , especially at 0.02g / cm 3 to 0.15g / cm 3 The high loft layer (without superabsorbent particles) may have a density of less than 0.15 g / cm at a pressure of 0.83 kPa (0.12 psi). 3 , especially 0.01g / cm 3 to 0.15g / cm 3 The absorbent core (621, 622) may have a density in the range of 15 gsm to 500 gsm, and a basis weight of 30 gsm to 200 gsm, such as those described in US 2021 / 0361497 Al. The absorbent core (621, 622) including a high loft material comprising superabsorbent polymers may also include channels.

[0063] The absorbent core (621, 622) may also include an acquisition system for facilitating the acquisition and distribution of body exudates and may be placed between the top sheet (241, 242) and the absorbent layer. The function of the acquisition system is to quickly acquire fluid from the top sheet (241, 242) away from the wearer-facing side and / or distribute it over a larger area so that it is more effectively absorbed by the absorbent core. The acquisition system may include cellulose fibers. Channels may also be formed in the acquisition system and may be configured to at least partially match the channels of the absorbent layer in the thickness direction. Such another liquid management layer may also be placed between the back sheet (251, 252) and the absorbent layer. The liquid management layer may be a hydroentangled nonwoven comprising viscose, PET, CoPET / PET fibers, and combinations thereof.

[0064] Leg cuffs

[0065] refer to Figure 3A and Figure 3BThe absorbent bodies (38, 39) of the present invention each include leg cuffs (31, 34, 36) for cuffing the lateral edges of the absorbent article (10) against the wearer's thighs and preventing body exudates from leaking out of the leg openings. Prior art absorbent articles typically have a double leg cuff gasketing system for providing leakage protection from the leg openings while also providing a soft feel around the wearer's thighs. Relying solely on such a double leg cuff gasketing system on the chassis (100) is insufficient to prevent leakage in the multi-absorbent article of the present invention. On the other hand, applying such a double leg cuff gasketing system solely to each absorbent body (38, 39) of the present invention or each first absorbent body (38) and chassis (100) would make the absorbent article (10) too bulky around the wearer's thighs, having an unnecessary number of material layers in this area. Such bulk or concentrated excessive number of material layers may risk leaving red marks on the wearer or even affect the leakage prevention function. The leg cuffs of the absorbent article of the present invention require a special configuration in order to provide leakage protection during both first and second wear while also maintaining wearing comfort.

[0066] Still refer to Figure 3A and Figure 3BThe first absorbent body (38) of the present invention includes a pair of first backsheet folded portions (261), which extend from the lateral ends of the first backsheet (251) and are folded to the wearer-facing side; a pair of first outer covering folded portions (43), which extend from the lateral ends of the first outer covering (421) and are folded to the wearer-facing side to sandwich the first backsheet folded portions (261), the lateral ends of the first outer covering folded portions (43) being attached to the wearer-facing side of the first top sheet (241), wherein the first backsheet folded portions (261) and the first outer covering folded portions (43) form a pair of first hoops (36), each first hoop (36) including a longitudinally extending base (36B) and a longitudinally extending free edge (36E); and a first hoop elastic element (37), which is arranged at the free edge of each first hoop (36). In addition, the chassis (100) of the present invention includes a pair of chassis cuffs (34) formed of a cuff material (110) and disposed on a chassis backsheet (252), the chassis cuffs (34) each including a longitudinally extending base (34B) and a longitudinally extending free edge (34E); wherein the transverse dimension TC2 of the spacing between the bases (34B) of the pair of chassis cuffs is greater than the transverse dimension TC1 of the spacing between the bases (36B) of the pair of first cuffs; and a chassis cuff elastic element (35) is disposed at the free edge of each chassis cuff (34). Further, the absorbent article (10) of the present invention exhibits overall longitudinal leg stretch and overall transverse leg stretch, and the absorbent article without the first absorbent body exhibits removed longitudinal leg stretch and removed transverse leg stretch, wherein the removed longitudinal leg stretch is at least about 50% of the overall longitudinal leg stretch and the removed transverse leg stretch is at least about 50% of the overall transverse leg stretch as measured herein. By "integral" longitudinal / transverse leg stretch is meant the unloading force (N) of the leg opening when the absorbent article is used for the first time. By "removed" longitudinal / transverse leg stretch is meant the unloading force (N) of the leg opening when the absorbent article is used for the second time after the first absorbent body (38) has been removed. By integral / removed "longitudinal" leg stretch is meant the unloading force of the leg opening in the longitudinal direction of the article. By integral / removed "transverse" leg stretch is meant the unloading force of the leg opening in the transverse direction of the article. By providing a removed longitudinal leg stretch that is at least about 50% of the overall longitudinal leg stretch, and a removed transverse leg stretch that is at least about 50% of the overall transverse leg stretch, this provides a balanced leg gasket against the wearer in both the first and second uses.

[0067] Specifically, the difference between the removed longitudinal leg stretch and the overall longitudinal leg stretch may be less than about 1.5 N, and the difference between the removed transverse leg stretch and the overall transverse leg stretch may be less than about 1.5 N. The overall longitudinal leg stretch may be from about 1 N to about 3.5 N, or from about 1.3 N to about 3.3 N, and the overall transverse leg stretch may be from about 0.5 N to about 2 N, or from about 0.7 N to about 1.3 N. The removed longitudinal leg stretch may be from about 0.5 N to about 3 N, or from about 0.8 N to about 2.3 N, and the removed transverse leg stretch may be from about 0.2 N to about 1 N, or from about 0.3 N to about 0.8 N.

[0068] The aforementioned stretch characteristics can be achieved by providing one or both of the first absorbent body (38) and the chassis (100) of the present invention with less than a double leg cuff gasketing system. In addition, when the first cuff elastic element (37) and the chassis cuff elastic element (35) are each a plurality of elastic strands, the aforementioned stretch characteristics can be produced by adjusting one or more of the following: the density (dtex) of the elastic strands, the elongation of the elastic strands, and the number of elastic strands. The number of chassis cuff elastic strands (35) can be greater than the number of first cuff elastic strands (37).

[0069] refer to Figure 3A , when the first cuff (36) has a first cuff height H1 as the transverse dimension between the base (36B) and the free edge (36E); while the chassis cuff (34) has a chassis cuff height H2 as the transverse dimension between the base (34B) and the free edge (34E), H2 may be greater than H1, wherein the chassis further comprises a pair of outer cuffs (31) respectively disposed on the transverse outer sides of the pair of chassis cuffs (34), each outer cuff (31) being formed by a chassis backsheet (252), a cuff material (110) and an outer cuff elastic element (33) sandwiched therebetween. In this embodiment, there are three cuff elements in the first use and two cuff elements in the second use, wherein the two cuff elements on the backsheet (31, 34) serve as the main leg gasketing function, while the first cuff (36) provides an auxiliary function when the first absorbent body (38) is present. In order to provide a continuous fit before and after the first absorbent body (38) is removed, the chassis cuff height H2 is set higher than the first cuff height H1. In this embodiment, the first cuff (36) provides leakage protection from the first absorbent body (38) to the second absorbent body (39). In this embodiment, the chassis (100) may further include a chassis outer cover (422) on the garment-facing side of the chassis backsheet (252), wherein the lateral dimensions of the chassis backsheet (252) match the lateral dimensions of the chassis outer cover (422). This provides the absorbent article (10) with a finished appearance.

[0070] Alternatively, refer to Figure 3B, edge elastic elements (73) may be provided adjacent each base of the chassis cuff (34B), wherein when the first cuff (36) has a first cuff height H1 and the chassis cuff (34) has a chassis cuff height H2, H2 may be less than H1. In this embodiment, the chassis cuff (34) performs the primary leg gasketing function during first use, and the edge elastic elements (73) provide structure to the chassis cuff (34). The chassis cuff height H2 is provided to be less than the first cuff height H1 to provide better leakage protection from the first absorbent body to the second absorbent body, while also providing an improved appearance of the absorbent article as a whole because there is less bulk around the cuff area. In this embodiment, the chassis (100) may further include a pair of chassis backsheet folds (262) extending from the lateral ends of the chassis backsheet (252) and folded to the wearer-facing side, wherein the cuff material (110) sandwiches the chassis backsheet folds (262), the plurality of chassis cuff elastic strands (33), and the edge elastic elements (73) to form a chassis cuff (34) for leak prevention and to provide structure to the cuff area on the chassis (100). Also in this embodiment, the chassis (100) may further include a chassis outer cover (422) on the garment-facing side of the chassis backsheet (252), wherein the base of the chassis cuff (34) is disposed adjacent the lateral ends of the chassis outer cover (422). This provides the absorbent article (10) with a finished appearance.

[0071] size

[0072] refer to Figure 3A and Figure 3B , the components used to form the absorbent assembly (20) can have a specific relationship with each other to ensure that the second absorbent body (39) remains intact during the first use, while maintaining wearing comfort and allowing smooth removal of the first absorbent body (38) after use. Hereinafter, it is defined that the first backsheet (251) has a transverse dimension T1 and a longitudinal dimension L1, the first outer cover (421) has a transverse dimension T2 and a longitudinal dimension L2, the second topsheet (242) has a transverse dimension T3 and a longitudinal dimension L3, and the chassis backsheet (252) has a transverse dimension T4 and a longitudinal dimension L4. In addition, as described above, the transverse dimension between the bases of the pair of first cuffs (36B) is TC1, and the transverse dimension between the bases of the pair of chassis cuffs (34B) is TC2.

[0073] A temporary bonding portion (TB) for bonding the first absorbent body (38, 39) to the second absorbent body (38, 39) is provided between the first outer cover (421) and the second top sheet (242) so that the first absorbent body (38) can be removed from the rest of the diaper article (10) after the first use. In order to prevent the second absorbent body (39) from being soiled during the first use, T1 can be set to be equal to or greater than T3, preferably, T1 can be set to be greater than T3 by about 5 mm to about 15 mm. In addition, for the same purpose, T2 can be set to be equal to or greater than T3, preferably, T2 can be set to be greater than T3 by about 5 mm to about 45 mm.

[0074] refer to Figures 3A to 3B , the first absorbent body (38) may further include a first outer cover fold (43) connected to the first outer cover (421), wherein the lateral edges of the first backsheet (251) are sandwiched between the first outer cover (421) and the first outer cover fold (43). By providing the elements of the first absorbent body (38) in this configuration, better protection is provided along the lateral edges of the absorbent assembly (20), and visual exposure of the first backsheet (251) to the user can be avoided. Visual exposure of the backsheets (251, 252) is generally avoided in order to provide a finished appearance to the article and also to avoid revealing the color of exudates after soiling the absorbent assembly (20). To determine the dimensions T1, T2 and T4 respectively, only the first backsheet (251), the first outer cover (421) and the chassis backsheet (252) are considered, and the dimensions of the first backsheet fold (261), the first outer cover fold (43) and the chassis backsheet fold (262) are not taken into account.

[0075] refer to Figures 2A to 2B , L3 can be set to be larger than L1, preferably, L3 can be set to be larger than L1 by about 20 mm to about 60 mm. That is, the front end and / or the rear end of the second top sheet (242) can extend beyond the first back sheet (251) and the first outer cover (421). By providing the first absorbent body (38) and the second absorbent body (39) of this configuration, the user can easily remove the first absorbent body (38) from the rest of the absorbent assembly by inserting a finger between the first outer cover (421) and the second top sheet (242). The chassis back sheet (252) provides a barrier function for the entire diaper product (10). In order to provide this function, T4 can be larger than T1, preferably, T4 can be set to be larger than T1 by about 40 mm to about 60 mm. T4 can be set to be larger than any one of T1, T2 or T3. L4 can be larger than L1 or L2. The first absorbent core is configured to be smaller in size than T1, T2, L1 and L2. The second absorbent core is configured to be smaller in size than T3, T4, L3 and L4. Figures 3A to 3BIn [the figure], T2 is shown in a larger size than T1 to describe how the first outer cover (421) provides the folding part (43) at the left and right folding points, thereby increasing the size. However, in reality, Figures 3A to 3B The embodiments described in [the figure] may have T1 and T2 of the same lateral dimension.

[0076] Referring to Figures 2A to 2B , the absorbent core existing on the side facing the garment, i.e., the second absorbent core (622), may have a distance between the front end of the core and the front end of the absorbent assembly (20) that is shorter than the distance between the rear end of the core and the rear end of the absorbent assembly (20). By moving the core slightly forward relative to the longitudinal center, the absorbent core can effectively receive and absorb fluid waste. When the second absorbent core (622) is disposed in such a position relative to the absorbent assembly (20), the rear ends of the first absorbent core and the second absorbent core (621, 622) may be matched, while the front end of the first absorbent core (621) is proximal to the front end of the second absorbent core (622). By arranging the first absorbent core and the second absorbent core (621, 622) in such positions, the longitudinal edge of the first outer cover (421) on the front side can remain thinner due to the absence of the first absorbent core (621), thereby facilitating the insertion of a finger between the first outer cover (421) and the second topsheet (242) for the removal action of the first absorbent body (38). This longitudinal dimension difference between the first absorbent core and the second absorbent core (621, 622) can be provided on the front side, where a smaller longitudinal dimension is maintained between the front ends of the absorbent cores (621, 622) and the absorbent assembly (20).

[0077] Referring to Figure 3A and Figure 3B , the lateral dimension T1 of the first backsheet may be equal to or greater than, preferably greater than, the spacing TC1 between the bases of the first cuffs. By setting the first backsheet to have at least the same lateral dimension T1, the first backsheet (251) serves as a barrier for body effluents to pass through the side edges of the first cuffs (36) beyond TC1. As described above, the first cuffs (36) may include a first backsheet fold (261) sandwiched between cuff materials (110), which can provide enhanced protection in this area. The spacing TC2 between the bases of the chassis cuffs is greater than the lateral dimension T1 of the first backsheet. The spacing TC2 between the bases of the chassis cuffs is also greater than the lateral dimension T2 of the first outer cover. By providing a lateral dimension (TC2) between the chassis cuffs that is greater than T1 and T2, i.e., any element of the first absorbent body (38), this prevents any body effluents passing through the first absorbent body (38) from being captured by the chassis cuffs (34). In a preferred embodiment, by providing the relationship TC1 < T1 < T2 < TC2, this provides wearer comfort and good gasketing function for the entire absorbent article.

[0078] Referring to Figure 2A and Figure 2B , the first hoop elastic element (37) and the chassis hoop elastic element (35) may each have an effective longitudinal elastic dimension. The so-called effective longitudinal elastic dimension refers to the longitudinal dimension of the hoop elastic element in active elasticity at its fully stretched length. That is, the portion of the hoop elastic element that loses elasticity by, for example, bonding to the hoop material (110) and / or the first top sheet / second top sheet (241 / 242) is not counted. Pinning the hoop elastic element toward the front longitudinal end and the rear longitudinal end of the hoop elastic element is a common method for controlling the length of the effective longitudinal elastic dimension of the hoop elastic element. The hoop elastic element (33, 35, 37, 73) of the present invention can control its effective longitudinal elastic dimension by this method. In a preferred embodiment, wherein the first hoop elastic element (37) has an effective longitudinal elastic dimension LC1 and the chassis hoop elastic element (35) has an effective longitudinal elastic dimension LC2, LC1 is greater than LC2. By setting LC1 to be greater than LC2, during first use, the first absorbent body (38) is kept close to the wearer so that leakage from the first absorbent body (38) to the second absorbent body (39) is prevented.

[0079] exist Figure 2A and Figure 2B In FIG, the base elements of the absorbent assembly (20) are all shown as rectangular. Alternatively, the four edges of the elements of the absorbent assembly (20), in particular the elements of the first absorbent body (38), may be rounded, such as Figure 1A to Figure 1B As shown. This rounding can help avoid that the first absorbent body (38) has sharp edges that could otherwise be well observed by the user during the removal action. To determine the dimensions T1, T2, T3, T4, TC1, TC2, L1, L2, L3, L4, LC1 and LC2, the maximum transverse dimension and / or longitudinal dimension of each element is measured.

[0080] Temporary bonding area

[0081] The absorbent assembly (20) of the present invention has a first outer cover (421) and a second top sheet (242) bonded together by a temporary bond (TB) for enabling the first absorbent body (38) to be removed from the remainder of the diaper article (10) after first use. A temporary bond (TB) having a suitable peel strength is provided between the two nonwoven layers, namely the first outer cover (421) and the second top sheet (242). The temporary bond (TB) can be provided by any one of an adhesive, heat energy, ultrasonic energy, or a combination thereof. According to the peel strength measurement herein, the temporary bond (TB) may have a peak force of about 16 N or less, or a peak force of about 4 N to about 15 N, or a peak force of about 4 N to about 10 N, or a peak force of about 6 N to about 15 N, or a peak force of about 10 N to about 15 N, and an average force of about 0.3 N or more, or an average force of about 0.4 N to about 15 N, or an average force of about 1 N to about 15 N, or an average force of about 0.4 N to about 14 N. The peel strength measurement herein is intended to simulate the removal action of a user when removing the first absorbent body (38) from the rest of the diaper article by beginning to tear the temporary bond (TB) from either the front end or the rear end of the first absorbent body (38) toward the other of the front end or the rear end. The average force is similar to the force observed during the middle of the removal action. By having an average force of about 0.3 N or more, the temporary bond (TB) is strong enough to withstand the forces generated by the wearer during the first use. The peak force is similar to the maximum force experienced during the removal action. By having a peak force of about 16 N or less, the temporary bond (TB) is less strong, allowing the bond to be torn without significant effort and without damaging other components of the diaper article (10).

[0082] The first outer cover (421) and the second top sheet (242) can be any nonwoven material suitable for use as a diaper article (10) as long as the above-mentioned peak force and average force measured according to the peel strength of this article are achieved. Exemplary first outer cover (421) materials can be selected from those having a basis weight of about 6.5 gsm to about 25 gsm, preferably about 8 gsm to about 20 gsm. Exemplary second top sheet (242) materials can be selected from those having a basis weight of about 11 gsm to about 40 gsm, preferably about 15 gsm to about 40 gsm. The basis weight of the first outer cover (421) can be lower than the basis weight of the second top sheet (242).

[0083] The temporary bonding portion (TB) may be provided at least partially along the transverse edge of the second top sheet (242) and extend in the longitudinal direction. The temporary bonding portion (TB) may be a substantially straight line along the left and right transverse edges of the second top sheet (242). Alternatively, the temporary bonding portion (TB) may be a continuous line extending at least partially along the transverse edge of the second top sheet (242), such as in the shape of an ellipse. The shape of the continuous line may be a rectangle or other polygon. An auxiliary temporary bonding portion (ATB) may also be provided between the first outer cover (421) and the first outer cover (421), wherein the auxiliary temporary bonding portion (ATB) provides the same or lower peak force as the temporary bonding portion (TB) according to the peel strength measurement of this article. The auxiliary temporary bonding portion (ATB) may be provided between the temporary bonding portions (TB) extending in the transverse direction, wherein there is no auxiliary temporary bonding portion (ATB) in the front and rear longitudinal edge regions. The auxiliary temporary bonding portion (ATB) may be connected together with the left and right temporary bonding portions (TB).

[0084] elastic band

[0085] refer to Figure 4 The pant-type diaper article (10) of the present invention includes an elastic belt (40) including a front belt (84), a rear belt (86), and a pair of side seams (32) that seal the lateral edges of the front belt (84) and the rear belt (86). The pant-type diaper article (10) can be as follows Figure 4The invention provides a belt-type pant as shown in the figure, wherein the front belt (84) and the back belt (86) are discontinuous in the longitudinal direction and are assembled with the absorbent assembly (20), wherein the front belt and the back belt (84, 86) are positioned on the garment-facing side of the absorbent assembly (20), wherein the annular belt is formed by the side seam (32) that seals the front belt and the back belt (84, 86). For the belt-type pant, the front belt (84) can be referred to as the front region (26), the back belt (86) can be referred to as the back region (28), and the remaining portion can be referred to as the crotch region (30). The front belt and the back belt (84, 86) can be rectangular. At least one of the front belt and the back belt (84, 86) can be shaped (not shown). For a belt-type pant, the longitudinal dimension (LB) of the back band (86) may be greater than the longitudinal dimension (LF) of the front band (84), wherein the distal edges (88) of the front band (84) and the back band (86) match for sewing, thereby leaving the proximal edge (90) of the back band (86) unsealed. The unsealed proximal edge of the back band (86) may form a hip cover. Although not shown, the pant-type elastic article (10) may be one-piece, wherein the front band and the back band (86) are continuous. The front band (84) and the back band (86) may each be formed from a laminate comprising a plurality of elastomers (96) extending in a transverse direction. At least some of the elastomers (96) extend substantially parallel to each other in the transverse direction. The front band (84) and the back band (86) may each comprise a laminate comprising a plurality of elastics (96) extending in the transverse direction, an inner sheet (94), an outer sheet (92), and an outer sheet fold (93), wherein the outer sheet fold (93) is an extension of the outer sheet material formed by folding the outer sheet material at the distal edges (88) of the front and back bands; wherein the elastics (96) are sandwiched between two of these sheets. The outer sheet folds (93) of the front and back bands (84, 86) may sandwich the front longitudinal edges and the rear longitudinal edges of some components of the absorbent assembly (20). The front elastic band (84) and the back elastic band (86) may each consist solely of the elastics (96), the inner sheet (94), the outer sheet (92), and the outer sheet fold (93). The elastics (96) may be disposed between the front and back and in different longitudinal positions of the bands at the same or different deniers, spacings, and forces.

[0086] Still refer to Figure 4, a pant-type diaper article (10) is formed by an absorbent assembly (20), a front belt (84) and a back belt (86), wherein the position of the absorbent assembly (20) is arranged according to the front belt (84) and the back belt (86) to provide good absorbency and good wearing comfort. When the seams of the pant-type diaper article (10) are not joined and are in a flat, uncontracted state of the elastic components, the side seams and the diaper article (10) each have a longitudinal dimension. When the longitudinal dimension (LB) of either belt is greater than the longitudinal dimension (LF) of the other belt, the longitudinal dimension of the side seam is equal to LF. When the seams of the pant-type diaper article (10) are not joined and are in a flat, uncontracted state of the elastic components, the longitudinal dimension between the proximal edge of the front side seam and the proximal edge of the back side seam can be about 40% to about 70%, preferably about 43% to about 60%, of the longitudinal dimension of the diaper article (10). By providing a pant-type diaper article (10) of this configuration, the absorbent assembly (20) can be properly placed against the wearer to obtain wearing comfort. When the distal edge of the front belt (84) and the front longitudinal end of the absorbent assembly (20) have a distance D1, and the distal edge of the rear belt (86) and the rear longitudinal end of the absorbent assembly (20) have a distance D2, D1 can be set to be smaller than D2. By setting D1 to be smaller than D2, the absorbent assembly (20) can move forward, thereby effectively receiving and absorbing fluid waste.

[0087] refer to Figure 3A 、 Figure 3B and Figure 4 The pant-type diaper article (10) of the present invention may have a chassis outer cover (422) disposed on the garment-facing side of the chassis backsheet (252). The chassis outer cover (422) may be any nonwoven material suitable for the first outer cover (421) described above. When the chassis outer cover (422) is present, the chassis outer cover (422) may extend only partially through the crotch region (30) in the longitudinal direction in the front and rear regions (26, 28) so that the distal portions of the front and rear bands (84, 86) are free of the chassis outer cover (422). That is, the longitudinal length of the chassis outer cover (422) may be longer than the distance between the front and rear bands (84, 86) and shorter than the longitudinal length of the chassis backsheet (252). With this configuration, the distal portions of the front and rear straps (84, 86) are free of the chassis outer cover (422), thereby providing a relatively thinner overall article (10) and offering cost savings.

[0088] Other components

[0089] The absorbent assembly (20) of the present invention may also include components that improve the leak resistance, wear resistance, fit, or aesthetics of the resulting diaper article (10). As is typically provided for diaper articles having a single absorbent body, the chassis backsheet (252) and / or the chassis outer cover (422) may have a viewing artwork that is visible from the garment-facing side of the diaper article (10). Such viewing artwork may be coordinated with viewing artwork provided on a fastening component (e.g., an elastic band) to form a pant-type article. The first absorbent body (38) and the second absorbent body (39) may have different aesthetics that are identifiable from the topsheet side so that the user can distinguish between the first absorbent body and the second absorbent body (38, 39), and / or to indicate the presence of multiple absorbent bodies. For example, the first and second topsheets (241, 242) may have different topography, such as bonding, embossing, and openings. For example, the adhesive used to bond the first or second topsheet (241, 242) to the layer immediately below may be provided in a color and pattern, wherein the color and / or pattern provided in the first and second absorbent bodies (38, 39) may be different.

[0090] refer to Figure 1B The garment-facing side of the first absorbent body (38), i.e., the first outer cover (421), may be provided with a signal zone (SZ) comprising a marking for intuitively guiding the user where to pinch the first absorbent body (38) to effectively initiate the removal action of the first absorbent body (38) from the rest of the diaper article (10). The marking may be a color and / or pattern that can be distinguished from the rest of the first outer cover (421), a material and / or a topography that can be distinguished from the rest of the first outer cover (421), such as wording such as "open", "peel off herefrom", and / or in combination with a sign such as an arrow.

[0091] Leg stretch measurement

[0092] This measurement method is used to provide the following values according to the present invention: Overall Longitudinal Leg Stretch, Overall Transverse Leg Stretch, Removed Longitudinal Leg Stretch, and Removed Transverse Leg Stretch.

[0093] Force is measured using an electronic tensile tester or equivalent instrument running TestWorks 4 software (available from MTS Systems (China) Co., Ltd.) with a computer interface, such as an MTS Criterion C42. The load cell is selected so that the force results for the tested specimen are between 10% and 90% of the capacity of the load cell used. The instrument is calibrated according to the manufacturer's instructions.

[0094] Tensile testers are equipped with hanger-type sample fixing fixtures such as Figure 5Each fixture consists of a rigid, linear, rubber-coated horizontal rod segment to prevent specimen slippage during testing. The outer rod diameter (including the rubber coating) of the horizontal rod segment is 10.0 mm. The central axes of the horizontal rod segments are configured to remain parallel and in the same vertical plane throughout the test.

[0095] The gauge circumference is determined by the following formula:

[0096] Gauge circumference = 2×(H+D+πD / 2)

[0097] Where H is the vertical gap between the horizontal rod segments, and D is the outer diameter of the rod. All tests were conducted in a room maintained at 23°C ± 2°C and 50% ± 5% relative humidity. The instrument was set up to go through the following steps:

[0098]

[0099] To measure overall longitudinal / lateral leg stretch, the finished product should be used as the test specimen. To measure removed longitudinal / lateral leg stretch, the first absorbent body should be peeled off the finished product and the remainder of the diaper article should be used as the test specimen.

[0100] To measure the integral / removed longitudinal leg stretch, insert the specimen from one leg opening onto the upper horizontal bar segment while the article is positioned crotch side down so that the bar passes through one leg opening and the waist opening of the article, as shown. Figure 5 As shown. The grips are raised until the sample is suspended above the lower rod and does not touch the lower rod. The load cell is reset to zero and the grips are lowered so that the lower rod is inserted through the leg opening but without stretching the article. The specimen is adjusted so that the side seams are in the same plane as the upper and lower rods (302). The grips are slowly raised while holding the sample in place by hand as needed until the force is between 0.05N and 0.1N, being careful not to add any unnecessary force. The gauge circumference at this point is the initial gauge circumference. The test is started and the grips are moved upward at 254mm / min until a force of 6N is obtained, and then the grips are immediately returned to the initial gauge circumference at the same speed. The tension is recorded when the distance between the rods reaches 80.5mm when the grips return and is defined as the overall / removed longitudinal leg stretch.

[0101] To measure overall / removed lateral leg stretch, e.g. Figure 5As shown, the sample is inserted into the upper horizontal rod segment from one leg opening and then rotated 90 degrees so that the side seam is perpendicular to the hanger. The grips are raised until the sample is suspended above the lower rod and does not touch the lower rod. The load cell is reset to zero and the grips are lowered to allow the lower rod to be inserted through the leg opening without stretching the article. The grips are slowly raised while the sample is held in place by hand as needed until the force is between 0.05N and 0.1N, being careful not to add any unnecessary force. The gauge circumference at this point is the initial gauge circumference. The test is started and the grips are moved upward at 254mm / min until a force of 6N is obtained, after which the grips are immediately returned to the initial gauge circumference at the same speed. The tension is recorded when the distance between the rods reaches 60mm when the grips return and is defined as the overall / removed lateral leg stretch.

[0102] As described above, measure each of Overall Longitudinal Leg Stretch, Overall Transverse Leg Stretch, Removed Longitudinal Leg Stretch, and Removed Transverse Leg Stretch for both the left and right leg openings of 5 specimens and average and report to the nearest 0.01 N.

[0103] Peel strength measurement

[0104] 1. Preparation of Finished Samples

[0105] The samples used for the following measurements were obtained from three finished diaper product samples. If the product is a pair of pants, peel open the side seams of the pants. The product is then stretched longitudinally, allowing any longitudinally extending elastics (such as cuff elastics) to be fully stretched. The product is then attached to a suitable plate with at least one area of the fully stretched product, using any attachment means (such as tape, adhesive, hooks, etc.). Identify which side of the first absorbent body, the front or back (the "peel-off side"), will be peeled from the rest of the product. On the peel-off side, cut the first absorbent body in the widthwise (transverse) direction with scissors, 10 cm from the longitudinal edge of the first absorbent body. The portion exposed by this cut is the measurement edge.

[0106] 2.MTS test setup and measurement

[0107] An MTS Criterion Model 42 running TW Elite 4.3.1.375 software with a standard tensiometer or equivalent was used as the apparatus. All tests were performed in a room maintained at 23°C ± 2°C and 50% ± 5% relative humidity.

[0108] The initial distance between the upper clamp and the lower clamp is set to 20 mm. Clamps are selected on the left and right sides with a lateral dimension greater than the width of the temporary bonding portion so that the samples are peeled off simultaneously at the same horizontal level. The measuring edge of the sample is clamped by the clamps so that the upper clamp clamps the first absorbent body and the lower clamp clamps the rest of the product. The sample is set so that the lateral direction of the sample matches the horizontal direction of the device. A constant extension rate of 500 mm / min is applied. The elongation measurement is performed from the point where the program starts. The upper clamp starts to move upwards, while the lower clamp remains stationary, so that the first absorbent body is peeled off. The program stops when the upper clamp moves 200 mm. The machine continuously measures the force (N) at a sampling rate of 50 Hz.

[0109] Peak force is the maximum force value observed during the measurement process. Average force is the average value observed between 80 mm and 160 mm extension. For both values, measurements from 3 samples are obtained and averaged with an accuracy of up to 0.01 N.

[0110] Folded thickness measurement

[0111] 1. Preparation of Finished Samples

[0112] For 3 finished diaper articles, samples for the following measurements were obtained: The folded longitudinal center of the article is referred to as the "bottom".

[0113] 2. Folding thickness measurement

[0114] An Ono Sokki closed-axis foot caliper with a 24.13 mm diameter foot applied to an Ames stand at 0.689 kPa was used as the apparatus, with a caliper gauge GS-503 or equivalent; all measurements were made using a digital readout DG-3610 or equivalent. All tests were conducted in a room maintained at 23°C ± 2°C and 50% ± 5% relative humidity.

[0115] The samples were obtained immediately after being removed from the newly opened packaging and the following measurements were performed so that the measurements could be completed within 5 minutes of opening the packaging:

[0116] (1) Carefully pick up the caliper foot by hand, place the sample flat on the caliper holder, and place the caliper foot on the sample so that the caliper foot is 5 mm from the bottom and in the horizontal center. Wait about 5 seconds and read the reading. This reading is the thickness of the bottom of the product.

[0117] (2) Carefully pick up the caliper foot by hand, place the sample flat on the caliper holder, and place the caliper foot on the sample so that the caliper foot is 50 mm from the bottom and in the horizontal center. Wait about 5 seconds and read the reading. This reading is the thickness of the bottom of the product.

[0118] (3) Average the values obtained by steps (1) and (2).

[0119] The folded thickness is the average of the values obtained in (3) from averaging 3 samples with an accuracy of up to 0.1 mm.

[0120] Example

[0121] Example 1-2 is a size 4 (L) belt-type diaper product, which has two absorbent bodies and each has Figure 3A and Figure 3B The configurations and dimensions of Table 1 below. Examples 1-2 have the peak force, average force, overall longitudinal leg stretch, overall transverse leg stretch, removed longitudinal leg stretch, and removed transverse leg stretch as in Table 1 below.

[0122] Table 1

[0123]

[0124] The pant-type diaper articles of Examples 1-2 provide two layers of absorbent bodies for two uses, wherein the absorbent body for the second use remains substantially intact during the first use. The temporary adhesive bond of the pant-type diaper articles of Examples 1-2 withstands the forces generated during the first use by the wearer and can be torn apart without damaging the other components of the pant-type diaper article. The pant-type diaper articles of Examples 1-2 are comfortable to wear both during the first use and the second use. The pant-type diaper articles of Examples 1-2 provide the possibility of removing the first absorbent body from the rest of the article while the wearer is standing, which makes diaper changing easier and faster.

[0125] Consumer acceptance

[0126] Nine panelists in Frankfurt, Germany, who were users of products in a similar price range to the target consumers with infants aged 15-24 months wearing size 4 diapers, were recruited. They were asked to use their most frequently used product (hereinafter referred to as "Baseline") for 2 days, then use a pant-type diaper product sample of Example 2 (hereinafter referred to as "Example 2") for 2 days, and answer a set of questions.

[0127] Table 2 shows the results of the total leakage incidence. Table 3 shows the percentage of positions that the infants took for diaper changes. These percentages do not add up to 100% because other positions were also taken. Table 4 shows the average wearing time during the day.

[0128] Table 2

[0129]

[0130] Table 3

[0131]

[0132] ( 1) Statistically significantly greater than the baseline

[0133] ( 2) Statistically significantly lower than the baseline

[0134] Table 4

[0135]

[0136] According to the data in Table 2, the pant-type diaper product of Example 2 provided an equivalent leakage incidence rate compared to the baseline, indicating that it provided similar containment and leakage prevention performance compared to the baseline. According to the data in Table 3, the pant-type diaper product of Example 2 was able to achieve a significantly higher percentage of diaper changes in a standing position compared to the baseline, indicating that diaper changes were easier than the baseline. According to the data in Table 4, the pant-type diaper product of Example 2 provided an equivalent wear time per use as the baseline, indicating that the pant-type diaper product of Example 2 provided a wear time that was approximately twice that of the baseline.
