Method, electronic device and computer program product for replying data

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a data copying method, electronic equipment and a computer program product. The method comprises the steps that based on a state bitmap of data, a first identifier representing snapshot differences of the data and a second identifier representing distribution states of the data are obtained, the first identifier indicates which pages of the data need to be copied from a source node to a target node, and the second identifier indicates which pages of the data need to be copied from the source node to the target node; and the second identification indicates which pages in the data are compressed together as a single compression group. The method further includes generating decentralized aggregate information for replicating the data based on an input-output (IO) capability of the target node, the first identification, and the second identification. The method further includes copying data corresponding to the scattered aggregate information from the source node to the target node. According to the embodiment of the invention, the overhead of data transmission during data copying can be reduced, and the IO performance is improved.
