[0082] (First Implementation)
[0083] Reference Figures 1 to 24The battery mounting structure 70 and battery adapter 90 for a human-powered vehicle will be described below. A human-powered vehicle is a means of transportation having at least one wheel and being propelled by at least human power. Human-powered vehicles include various types of bicycles, such as mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, freight bikes, push bikes, and recumbent bikes. The number of wheels a human-powered vehicle has is not limited. Human-powered vehicles include, for example, unicycles and vehicles with two or more wheels. Human-powered vehicles are not limited to vehicles that can only be propelled by human power. Human-powered vehicles include so-called electric bicycles (E-bikes), which are propelled not only by human power but also by the driving force of an electric motor. Electric bicycles (E-bikes) include electric-assisted bicycles that are propelled with the assistance of an electric motor. Hereinafter, human-powered vehicles will be described as electric-assisted bicycles.
[0084] In this specification, the following terms indicating direction, such as “front,” “rear,” “ahead,” “rear,” “left,” “right,” “lateral,” “above,” and “below,” as well as any other similar terms, refer to these directions as determined from the reference position of the human-powered vehicle (e.g., on the saddle or seat) with the rider facing the handlebars.
[0085] like Figure 1 As shown, the human-powered vehicle 10 includes at least one wheel 12 and a vehicle body 14. For example, the at least one wheel 12 includes a front wheel 12F and a rear wheel 12R. The vehicle body 14 includes a frame 16. For example, the frame 16 is equipped with a saddle.
[0086] For example, the human-powered vehicle 10 also includes a crank 18 for receiving human driving force. The crank 18 includes, for example, a crankshaft 20 rotatable relative to the frame 16; and crank arms 22. The crank arms 22 include, for example, a first crank arm 22A and a second crank arm 22B. For example, the first crank arm 22A and the second crank arm 22B are respectively disposed at opposite ends of the crankshaft 20 in the axial direction.
[0087] For example, crank arm 22 is connected to pedal 24. Pedal 24 includes a first pedal 24A and a second pedal 24B. First crank arm 22A is connected to first pedal 24A. Second crank arm 22B is connected to second pedal 24B. Frame 16 is connected to front fork 26. Front fork 26 is mounted with front wheel 12F. Handlebar 28 is connected to front fork 26 via stem 30. Rear wheel 12R is supported on frame 16.
[0088] In this embodiment, crank 18 is connected to rear wheel 12R via drive mechanism 32. For example, rear wheel 12R is driven by rotation of crankshaft 20. At least one of front wheel 12F and rear wheel 12R can be connected to crank 18 via drive mechanism 32. For example, drive mechanism 32 includes at least one first rotating element 34 connected to crankshaft 20. For example, at least one first rotating element 34 includes a front sprocket. At least one first rotating element 34 may include a pulley or a bevel gear. Crankshaft 20 may be connected to front sprocket via a one-way clutch.
[0089] For example, the drive mechanism 32 further includes at least one second rotating body 36 and a transmission body 38. For example, the transmission body 38 is configured to transmit the rotational force of at least one first rotating body 34 to at least one second rotating body 36. For example, the transmission body 38 includes a chain. The transmission body 38 may include a belt or a drive shaft. For example, at least one second rotating body 36 includes a rear sprocket. For example, at least one second rotating body 36 may include a pulley or a bevel gear. For example, the chain is wound around a front sprocket and a rear sprocket. For example, at least one second rotating body 36 is connected to a rear wheel 12R. For example, the rear wheel 12R is configured to rotate with the rotation of at least one second rotating body 36.
[0090] For example, the manually driven vehicle 10 includes a transmission unit 40. The transmission unit 40 includes a motor 40A configured to provide propulsion to the manually driven vehicle 10. The motor 40A is configured to provide propulsion to the manually driven vehicle 10 based on the human driving force.
[0091] For example, motor 40A is configured to transmit rotational force of motor 40A to at least one component included in the transmission path of human-powered drive force from pedal 24 to at least one second rotating body 36. For example, motor 40A is configured to be disposed on frame 16 and transmit rotational force to at least one first rotating body 34. Motor 40A may be configured to be disposed on hub of human-powered vehicle 10 and transmit rotational force to at least one second rotating body 36.
[0092] For example, the human-powered vehicle 10 also includes a battery unit 72. For example, the battery unit 72 has a longitudinal direction. For example, the battery unit 72 is formed as a cuboid or columnar shape. The battery unit 72 includes one or more battery elements. The battery elements include rechargeable batteries. For example, the battery unit 72 is configured to supply power to components for the human-powered vehicle. For example, the components for the human-powered vehicle include a transmission unit 40. The components for the human-powered vehicle may include at least one of a transmission, a wireless communication unit, various sensors, a display device, lights, an electrically adjustable seat post, an electric suspension, and a braking device in place of the transmission unit 40, or, in addition to the transmission unit 40, may include at least one of a transmission, a wireless communication unit, various sensors, a display device, lights, an electrically adjustable seat post, an electric suspension, and a braking device.
[0093] Battery unit 72 can be configured to supply power to components of a manually operated vehicle other than drive unit 40 via drive unit 40. For example, battery unit 72 can be communicatively connected to drive unit 40 via wired or wireless means. For example, battery unit 72 can be configured to communicate with drive unit 40 via power line communication (PLC), CAN (Controller Area Network), or UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter).
[0094] like Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, for example, battery unit 72 is mounted on vehicle body 14. For example, battery unit 72 is mounted on frame 16. For example, frame 16 includes lower tube 42. For example, battery unit 72 is mounted on lower tube 42. Lower tube 42 is provided with storage space 42A for storing battery unit 72. Lower tube 42 is provided with frame opening 42B that opens downward when the manually driven vehicle 10 is placed on the ground. Frame opening 42B has a size that is at least large enough to insert battery unit 72 into storage space 42A. For example, frame 16 includes cover 44. For example, cover 44 closes frame opening 42B.
[0095] For example, battery cell 72 is protected by cover 44. For example, cover 44 is mounted on battery cell 72. For example, the shape of cover 44 is formed to fit the shape of frame opening 42B. For example, when battery cell 72 is mounted on downtube 42 and cover 44 is mounted on battery cell 72, the shape of cover 44 is substantially coplanar with downtube 42. Cover 44 can be mounted on frame opening 42B.
[0096] For example, the human-powered vehicle 10 includes a battery support 48 that supports a battery unit 72. The battery support 48 is disposed on the vehicle body 14. For example, the battery support 48 includes a first battery support 50 and a second battery support 52. For example, the first battery support 50 supports one end of the battery unit 72 in the longitudinal direction. For example, the second battery support 52 supports the other end of the battery unit 72 in the longitudinal direction.
[0097] For example, the lower tube 42 is provided with a first battery support mounting portion 46A for mounting the first battery support portion 50. For example, the first battery support mounting portion 46A is mounted on the inner surface 42C of the lower tube 42. For example, the first battery support mounting portion 46A is mounted on the upper inner surface 42C of the lower tube 42. For example, the first battery support mounting portion 46A is provided with a threaded hole for a bolt to be inserted for mounting the first battery support portion 50. The first battery support mounting portion 46A can be mounted to the inner surface 42C of the lower tube 42 by bonding, welding, or brazing.
[0098] For example, the lower tube 42 is provided with a second battery support mounting portion 46B for mounting the second battery support portion 52. For example, the second battery support mounting portion 46B is mounted on the inner surface 42C of the lower tube 42. For example, the second battery support mounting portion 46B is mounted on the lower inner surface 42C of the lower tube 42. For example, the second battery support mounting portion 46B is provided with a threaded hole for a bolt to be inserted for mounting the second battery support portion 52. The second battery support mounting portion 46B can be mounted to the inner surface 42C of the lower tube 42 by bonding, welding, or brazing.
[0099] For example, the first battery support 50 includes a first battery support body 54. For example, the first battery support body 54 includes a first surface 54A disposed opposite to the battery unit 72 when the battery unit 72 is mounted on the first battery support 50. The battery support 48 includes a latch 56. In this embodiment, the first battery support 50 includes a latch 56. For example, the latch 56 is disposed on the first surface 54A. For example, the first battery support 50 includes... Figure 22 The latch storage portion 54B is shown. The latch storage portion 54B includes a recess that is recessed from the first surface 54A. The latch 56 is configured to move between a state in which the entire latch 56 is stored in the latch storage portion 54B and a state in which it protrudes from the first surface 54A toward the battery cell 72. For example, the first battery support portion 50 includes a latch applying force portion that applies force to the latch 56 from the first surface 54A toward the battery cell 72.
[0100] For example, the first battery support 50 includes a locking operation section 58. The locking operation section 58 is configured to switch the state of the locking 56 between a restricted state that limits movement of the locking 56 and a permitted state that allows movement of the locking 56. In the restricted state, for example, when the locking 56 protrudes from the first surface 54A toward the battery cell 72, movement of the locking 56 is restricted. The locking operation section 58 may include a key lock cylinder. For example, it may be configured so that the rider switches the state of the locking 56 between the restricted and permitted states by operating the locking operation section 58. If the first battery support 50 includes a locking force application section, the first battery support 50 may not include the locking operation section 58.
[0101] like Figure 2 and Figure 21 As shown, for example, the second battery support 52 includes a second battery support body 60. For example, the second battery support body 60 includes a second surface 60A disposed opposite to the battery unit 72 when the battery unit 72 is installed.
[0102] For example, the battery support portion 48 includes a second connector 62 that connects to the first connector 78C of the battery cell 72. In this embodiment, the second battery support portion 52 includes the second connector 62. For example, the second connector 62 is disposed on the second surface 60A. For example, the second connector 62 includes a protrusion or a recess. In this embodiment, the second connector 62 includes a recess. For example, the second connector 62 is configured to be electrically connected to the first connector 78C. For example, the second connector 62 includes a power terminal for supplying power from the battery cell 72 to components for a manually driven vehicle. For example, the second connector 62 includes a communication terminal for allowing communication between the battery cell 72 and components for a manually driven vehicle. When the battery cell 72 is connected to components for a manually driven vehicle via power line communication, the power terminal and the communication terminal can be integrated.
[0103] For example, the battery support portion 48 includes a engaging portion 64. In this embodiment, the second battery support portion 52 includes the engaging portion 64. For example, the engaging portion 64 is provided in one of the first battery support portion 50 and the second battery support portion 52 where the second connector 62 is provided. For example, the engaging portion 64 is configured to engage with the engaging portion 72C of the battery cell 72. For example, the engaging portion 64 includes a protrusion 64A that protrudes from the second surface 60A toward the battery cell 72. For example, the engaging portion 64 is provided on the second surface 60A on the side closer to the frame opening 42B than the second connector 62.
[0104] like Figures 2 to 4As shown, the human-powered vehicle 10 includes a battery mounting structure 70 for mounting the battery unit 72 of the human-powered vehicle 10 to the battery support portion 48. The battery mounting structure 70 is disposed on the battery unit 72. The battery unit 72 includes a first battery end 72A in a predetermined direction X1. For example, the predetermined direction X1 corresponds to the length direction of the battery unit 72. For example, the battery unit 72 also includes a second battery end 72B located on the side opposite to the first battery end 72A in the predetermined direction X1. For example, the battery unit 72 includes a direction X2 orthogonal to the predetermined direction X1. Direction X2 includes a height direction X21 corresponding to the vertical direction of the human-powered vehicle 10 when the battery unit 72 is mounted on the vehicle body 14. Direction X2 includes a width direction X22 corresponding to the lateral direction of the human-powered vehicle 10 when the battery unit 72 is mounted on the vehicle body 14.
[0105] For example, the first battery end 72A is mounted on the first battery support 50. For example, the second battery end 72B is mounted on the second battery support 52. For example, when the battery unit 72 is mounted on the vehicle body 14, the first battery end 72A is positioned further forward of the manually driven vehicle 10 than the second battery end 72B. When the battery unit 72 is mounted on the vehicle body 14, the first battery end 72A is positioned further upward of the manually driven vehicle 10 than the second battery end 72B.
[0106] like Figures 3 to 6 As shown, for example, battery cell 72 includes battery cell body 74. For example, battery cell body 74 includes a first body end 78A and a second body end 78B in a predetermined direction X1. For example, battery cell 72 includes battery adapter 90. For example, battery adapter 90 is mounted to battery cell body 74. By mounting battery adapter 90 to battery cell body 74, battery cell 72 of this embodiment is constituted.
[0107] like Figures 3 to 8As shown, for example, the battery cell body 74 includes a main housing 76 and a main end 78. For example, the main housing 76 extends in a predetermined direction X1. For example, the main end 78 is mounted to the main housing 76 in the predetermined direction X1. For example, the main end 78 is separately formed from the main housing 76. The main end 78 may be integrally formed with the main housing 76. For example, the battery cell body 74 includes a main end 78 mounted on one side of the main housing 76 in the predetermined direction X1 and a main end 78 mounted on the other side. For example, the main end 78 includes a battery body mounting portion 80. The battery body mounting portion 80 mounts the main end 78 to the main housing 76. For example, the main end 78 includes a plurality of battery body mounting portions 80. For example, the main end 78 includes four battery body mounting portions 80. For example, the battery body mounting portion 80 includes a through hole for bolt insertion. For example, the main housing 76 is provided with an internal thread portion that engages with a bolt inserted into the battery body mounting portion 80.
[0108] like Figures 3 to 6 , Figure 9 ,as well as Figure 10 As shown, for example, the battery adapter 90 includes an adapter body 90A and an adapter mounting portion 90B. For example, the adapter mounting portion 90B is provided on the adapter body 90A. For example, the adapter mounting portion 90B is mounted on the battery cell body 74 in a manner that allows it to be attached to and detached from the battery cell body 74. For example, the battery adapter 90 includes multiple adapter mounting portions 90B. For example, the battery adapter 90 includes four adapter mounting portions 90B.
[0109] For example, battery cell 72 includes an adapter mounting member 72D for mounting adapter mounting portion 90B to battery cell body 74. For example, adapter mounting member 72D includes a bolt. For example, adapter mounting portion 90B includes a through hole. For example, battery cell body 74 includes a body mounting portion 82 corresponding to adapter mounting portion 90B. For example, body mounting portion 82 is provided at body end 78. For example, body mounting portion 82 includes internal threads.
[0110] like Figures 4 to 8 As shown, the adapter mounting portion 90B is one of a plurality of adapter mounting portions 90B. For example, the plurality of adapter mounting portions 90B are configured such that, when viewed from the direction of mounting the battery adapter 90 toward the battery cell body 74, they are located at positions different from those of the battery body mounting portion 80. For example, all the adapter mounting portions 90B are configured such that, when viewed from the direction of mounting the battery adapter 90 toward the battery cell body 74, they are located at positions different from any of the battery body mounting portions 80.
[0111] For example, one of the four adapter mounting portions 90B is located at the central portion in the height direction X21 and the right end in the width direction X22 of the adapter body 90A. Alternatively, one of the four adapter mounting portions 90B is located at the central portion in the height direction X21 and the left end in the width direction X22 of the adapter body 90A. Alternatively, one of the four adapter mounting portions 90B is located at the upper end in the height direction X21 of the adapter body 90A, between the center and one side end in the width direction X22. Alternatively, one of the four adapter mounting portions 90B is located at the upper end in the height direction X21 of the adapter body 90A, between the center and the other side end in the width direction X22.
[0112] For example, four adapter mounting portions 90B are disposed at the four corners of the main body end 78. For example, four main body mounting portions 82 are disposed in the main body end 78 in a linearly symmetrical manner with respect to a line segment extending through the center in the width direction X22 and in the height direction X21.
[0113] like Figure 4 As shown, for example, battery adapter 90 includes a first battery adapter 92 detachably mounted to the first body end 78A. For example, battery adapter 90 includes a second battery adapter 94 detachably mounted to the second body end 78B.
[0114] In this embodiment, the first battery adapter 92 includes a first battery end 72A. For example, the first battery end 72A is substantially equivalent to the first battery adapter 92. The first battery end 72A is configured to be detachable from the battery cell body 74. In this embodiment, the second battery adapter 94 includes a second battery end 72B. For example, the second battery end 72B is substantially equivalent to the second battery adapter 94. The second battery end 72B is configured to be detachable from the battery cell body 74.
[0115] like Figure 5 and Figures 9 to 12 As shown, for example, the first battery end 72A includes a latching receiving portion 98. (As...) Figure 22 As shown, for example, when the first battery end 72A is mounted on the battery support portion 48, the latch 56 is configured to engage with the latch receiving portion 98. Figure 5 and Figures 9 to 12The latch receiving portion 98 shown is provided in at least one of the battery adapter 90 and the battery cell body 74. In this embodiment, the latch receiving portion 98 is provided in the first adapter body 96. For example, when the first battery end 72A is mounted on the battery support portion 48, the latch 56 is configured to engage with the latch receiving portion 98. For example, the latch receiving portion 98 is provided in a protrusion 96C that protrudes from the first battery end 72A. For example, the latch receiving portion 98 includes a flat portion of the protrusion 96C that is provided downward in the height direction X21. The upper surface of the protrusion 96C in the height direction X21 is configured to be inclined relative to the width direction X22.
[0116] like Figures 9 to 13 As shown, the first battery adapter 92 includes a first adapter body 96. For example, the first adapter body 96 includes a first adapter end 96A that contacts a first surface 54A of the first battery support portion 50. For example, the first adapter body 96 includes a second adapter end 96B that contacts a first body end 78A of the battery cell body 74.
[0117] like Figure 2 and Figures 9 to 17 As shown, the battery mounting structure 70 includes a release member 100. The release member 100 is used to release the engagement between the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98. In this embodiment, for example, the battery adapter 90 includes the release member 100. For example, the release member 100 is configured to be mounted on the first battery end 72A in a manner that allows it to move relative to the first battery end 72A, and is used to release the engagement between the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98.
[0118] like Figures 9 to 17 As shown, the release member 100 has a release member mounting portion 106 and a contact portion 104B. For example, the release member mounting portion 106 mounts the release member 100 to the first battery end 72A. The contact portion 104B is configured to contact the first battery end 72A. For example, the first battery end 72A includes a release member support portion 102 that supports the release member 100. For example, the release member support portion 102 includes a contact portion support portion 102A that is contacted by the contact portion 104B of the release member 100. For example, the contact portion support portion 102A has a recess. For example, the recess has a curved surface.
[0119] For example, the first battery end 72A includes a configuration portion 112 for configuring at least a portion of the release component mounting portion 106. For example, the configuration portion 112 is provided in a portion of the first battery end 72A that is different from the contact support portion 102A.
[0120] For example, the release member 100 includes a release member body 104, which is configured to rotate about a release member axis 100A. For example, the release member axis 100A extends in the width direction X22. For example, the release member body 104 extends in the height direction X21. For example, the release member body 104 has release member recesses 104A at both ends in the width direction X22. For example, the release member recesses 104A are provided in the release member body 104 in a manner corresponding to the release member mounting portion 106 so that the release member mounting portion 106 can be easily deformed.
[0121] The contact portion 104B is separate from the release component mounting portion 106. For example, the contact portion 104B is provided on the release component body 104. The contact portion 104B includes a fulcrum for the release component 100 when releasing the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98. For example, in a cross-section orthogonal to the direction along the release component axis 100A, the portion of the contact portion 104B that contacts the first battery end 72A includes the fulcrum for the release component 100. For example, the contact portion 104B has a curved surface protruding toward the first battery end 72A. For example, the contact portion 104B has a shape corresponding to the contact portion support portion 102A of the release component support portion 102. When the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98 are engaged, the contact portion 104B contacts the contact portion support portion 102A while the release component 100 rotates about the release component axis 100A.
[0122] For example, the release member 100 has an operation section 108. For example, the operation section 108 is configured to allow the rider to operate the release member 100. For example, the operation section 108 is located at the lower end of the release member body 104 in the height direction X21. For example, at least a portion of the operation section 108 is configured to be located further below the end below the first battery end 72A in the height direction X21. For example, the operation section 108 is configured to be operable by the rider when the battery unit 72 is mounted on the battery support 48.
[0123] For example, the release member 100 has a pressing portion 110. For example, the pressing portion 110 is configured to press the latch 56 toward the battery support portion 48 when the latch 56 is released from engagement with the latch receiving portion 98. For example, the pressing portion 110 is located at the upper end of the release member body 104 in the height direction X21. When the first battery end 72A is mounted on the battery support portion 48, for example, at least a portion of the pressing portion 110 is configured to face the latch 56 in a predetermined direction X1. When the latch 56 is released from engagement with the latch receiving portion 98, the portion of the pressing portion 110 that contacts the latch 56 is located at the same position as the portion that contacts the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98 in the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release member.
[0124] For example, the release component mounting portion 106 is configured to protrude from the release component body 104 in a direction Y1 along the release component axis 100A. For example, the release component mounting portion 106 is configured to protrude from the release component body 104 in both directions Y1 along the release component axis 100A and the other side. For example, the release component mounting portion 106 has a connecting portion 106A continuously disposed from the release component body 104. For example, the release component mounting portion 106 has a middle portion 106B, which is connected to the end of the connecting portion 106A located on the side opposite to the release component body 104. For example, the release component mounting portion 106 has at least one free end 106C. For example, the free end 106C is connected to the end of the middle portion 106B located on the side opposite to the connecting portion 106A. In this embodiment, the release component mounting portion 106 has two free ends 106C. The free ends 106C are respectively provided at the ends on both sides of the release component mounting part 106 in the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release component.
[0125] For example, the connecting portion 106A extends in the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release member. For example, the intermediate portion 106B extends in a direction orthogonal to the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release member. For example, the free end 106C extends in the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release member. For example, the central axis of the free end 106C coincides with the axis 100A of the release member. The central axis of the free end 106C of the release member 100 may not coincide with the axis 100A of the release member. For example, the free end 106C includes a curved portion 106D. In this embodiment, for example, the free end 106C has a spherical surface.
[0126] like Figure 16 As shown, for example, the release component mounting portion 106 has a first dimension L1 in the direction Y1 along the release component axis 100A. For example, the first dimension L1 corresponds to the distance from one free end 106C to the other free end 106C. For example, the pressing portion 110 has a second dimension L2 in the direction Y1 along the release component axis 100A. For example, the first dimension L1 is less than or equal to the second dimension.
[0127] like Figures 9 to 13As shown, for example, the configuration section 112 has a first configuration section 112A and a second configuration section 112B. For example, the second configuration section 112B is configured to be continuously disposed with the first configuration section 112A in the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release member. For example, the first configuration section 112A includes a hole 112D extending in the direction Y1 along the axis 100A of the release member. For example, the second configuration section 112B includes a recess 112C recessed in a predetermined direction X1. For example, the recess 112C extends from above in the height direction X21 toward below as it moves from the first battery end 72A toward the second battery end 72B. For example, the first configuration section 112A is disposed with at least a portion of a free end 106C. For example, the second configuration section 112B is disposed with at least a portion of a middle portion 106B. In the direction Y2 orthogonal to the axis 100A of the release member, for example, the release member mounting portion 106 is disposed separately from the configuration section 112 by a gap. For example, the outer diameter of the mounting section 112 is larger than the outer diameter of the release component mounting section 106. For example, only a portion of the release component mounting section 106 contacts the mounting section 112.
[0128] For example, the release component mounting portion 106 is elastically deformable. The release component mounting portion 106 is configured to elastically deform through the shape and size of at least one of the connecting portion 106A and the intermediate portion 106B. The release component mounting portion 106 may include an elastic member. For example, when the release component mounting portion 106 is mounted to the first battery end 72A, the release component mounting portion 106 is configured to be disposed on the placement portion 112 by moving in a predetermined direction X1. For example, when the release component mounting portion 106 is mounted to the first battery end 72A, the release component mounting portion 106 is configured to be disposed on the placement portion 112 by elastic deformation.
[0129] For example, the release component mounting portion 106 and the placement portion 112 are configured such that when a force is applied from below the battery unit 72 to the operation portion 108 of the release component 100 in the opposite direction to the engagement of the release latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98, the release component mounting portion 106 easily disengages from the placement portion 112. For example, when a force is applied from below the battery unit 72 to the operation portion 108 of the release component 100 in the opposite direction to the engagement of the release latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98, the release component mounting portion 106 disengages from the placement portion 112 by moving along the extending direction of the recess 112C. Therefore, when a force is applied from below the battery unit 72 to the operation portion 108 of the release component 100 in the opposite direction to the engagement of the release latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98, the release component 100 is less prone to deformation.
[0130] For example, the release component mounting portion 106 and the placement portion 112 are configured such that, when a force is applied to the operating portion 108 of the release component 100 in the direction of releasing the engagement between the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98, the force applied from the release component mounting portion 106 to the placement portion 112 is greater than the force applied from the release component mounting portion 106 to the placement portion 112. For example, the rigidity of the contact portion 104B is higher than the rigidity of the release component mounting portion 106. Therefore, when a force is applied to the operating portion 108 of the release component 100 in the direction of releasing the engagement between the latch 56 and the latch receiving portion 98, the release component 100 is less prone to deformation.
[0131] like Figure 2 and Figure 21 As shown, for example, the battery cell body 74 is mounted on the battery support portion 48 disposed on the vehicle body 14. For example, the battery cell body 74 includes a first connector 78C. The first connector 78C is configured to connect to a second connector 62 of the battery support portion 48. For example, the second connector 62 is configured to be electrically connected to the first connector 78C. For example, the first connector 78C includes a power terminal for supplying power from the battery cell 72 to components for a manually driven vehicle. For example, the first connector 78C includes a communication terminal for allowing communication between the battery cell 72 and components for a manually driven vehicle. When the battery cell 72 is connected to components for a manually driven vehicle via power line communication, the power terminal and the communication terminal can be integrated.
[0132] For example, the first connector 78C includes at least one of a protrusion and a recess. For example, the first connector 78C has a shape corresponding to the second connector 62. In this embodiment, the first connector 78C protrudes from the second body end 78B of the battery cell body 74. In this embodiment, the first connector 78C includes a recess disposed at the second battery end 72B of the battery cell 72.
[0133] like Figure 2 as well as Figures 18 to 21 As shown, the second battery adapter 94 includes a second adapter body 94A. For example, the second adapter body 94A has a connector hole 114. For example, the connector hole 114 is configured to allow insertion of at least one of the first connector 78C and the second connector 62. In this embodiment, the first connector 78C, which protrudes from the second body end 78B of the battery cell body 74, is inserted into the connector hole 114.
[0134] For example, the battery adapter 90 includes a engaging portion 72C that engages with an engaging portion 64 provided on the battery support portion 48. For example, the engaging portion 72C is provided on the second battery adapter 94. In this embodiment, the engaging portion 72C includes a through hole extending in a predetermined direction X1. The battery cell body 74 is provided with an engaging portion recess 78D that is continuously provided with the engaging portion 72C. For example, the recess formed by the engaging portion 72C and the engaging portion recess 78D corresponds in shape to the engaging portion 64. For example, when the battery cell 72 is mounted on the battery support portion 48, the recess formed by the engaging portion 72C and the engaging portion recess 78D is configured as a guide engaging portion 64.
[0135] For example, the second adapter body 94A includes a cutout 116. The second adapter body 94A may include a plurality of cutouts 116. The cutout 116 may be a through hole extending in a predetermined direction X1.
[0136] Reference Figures 21 to 23 The steps for installing the battery unit 72 onto the vehicle body 14 will be described below. For example, the steps for installing the battery unit 72 onto the vehicle body 14 include a first installation step, a second installation step, and a third installation step. The first to third installation steps are steps for installing the battery unit 72 onto the vehicle body 14 using the battery mounting structure 70.
[0137] like Figure 21 As shown, in the first installation step, the engaging portion 72C of the second battery end 72B is guided towards the engaging portion 64 while moving toward the second battery support portion 52. For example, in the first installation step, with the rider holding the battery unit 72, the protrusion 64A is inserted into the recess of the engaging portion 72C. In the first installation step, the engaging portion 64 is guided by the engaging portion 72C. Through the first installation step, the first connector 78C is connected to the second connector 62.
[0138] like Figure 22 As shown, in the second installation step, the inclined surface of the protrusion 96C at the end of the first battery 72A contacts the latch 56 on the first surface 54A of the first battery support 50 while facing towards... Figure 2 The storage space 42A shown moves. Since the protrusion 96C of the first battery end 72A presses the latch 56 toward the first surface 54A, at least a portion of the latch 56 is stored in the latch storage portion 54B.
[0139] like Figure 23As shown, if the latch 56 moves from the protrusion 96C to the latch receiving portion 98, the latch 56 moves from the latch storage portion 54B toward the first battery end 72A via the force-applying member. The movement of the latch 56 toward the first battery end 72A creates a state where the pressing portion 110 of the release member 100 is pressed against the first battery end 72A. For example, when the first battery end 72A is mounted on the battery support portion 48, at least a portion of the pressing portion 110 is configured to face the latch 56 in a predetermined direction X1.
[0140] In the third installation step, after the second installation step, the rider attaches the cover 44 to the frame 16. For example, after the second or third installation step, the rider can use the locking operation part 58 to restrict the movement of the locking buckle 56.
[0141] Reference Figure 24 The steps for removing the battery unit 72 from the vehicle body 14 will be explained. With the movement of the latch 56 restricted by the latch operating part 58, the rider uses the latch operating part 58 to change the state to allow the movement of the latch 56. The rider then removes the cover 44 from the frame 16.
[0142] The rider operates the operating unit 108 to rotate the release member 100 around the release member axis 100A. With the latch 56 released from engagement with the latch receiving part 98, the pressing part 110 presses the latch 56 toward the first battery support part 50. The pressing part 110 presses the latch 56 toward the first battery support part 50, thereby moving the latch 56 toward the latch storage part 54B. The latch 56 is stored in the latch storage part 54B, allowing the battery unit 72 to move downwards in the height direction X21. For example, the rider performs steps opposite to the second installation step and steps opposite to the first installation step to remove the battery unit 72 from the vehicle body 14.
[0143] (Second Implementation)
[0144] Reference Figure 25 and Figure 26 The battery mounting structure 70 for a human-powered vehicle according to the second embodiment will be described. The same reference numerals as those in the first embodiment will be used for the battery mounting structure 70 for a human-powered vehicle according to the second embodiment, and repeated descriptions will be omitted.
[0145] The battery cell 72 in the second embodiment is configured not to include the battery adapter 90 of the first embodiment. For example, the battery mounting structure 70 of the second embodiment includes a first battery end 72A. The first battery end 72A is integrally formed with the battery cell 72. For example, the first battery end 72A of the second embodiment is provided at a first body end 78A. The release member 100 is provided in the battery cell 72. For example, the battery mounting structure 70 of the second embodiment includes a second battery end 72B. For example, the second battery end 72B is integrally formed with the battery cell 72. For example, the second battery end 72B of the second embodiment is provided at a second body end 78B.
[0146] For example, the battery capacity of the battery cell 72 in the second embodiment is configured to be different from that of the battery cell 72 in the first embodiment. For example, the battery capacity of the battery cell 72 in the second embodiment is larger than that of the battery cell 72 in the first embodiment. For example, the volume of the battery cell 72 in the second embodiment is configured to be different from that of the battery cell 72 in the first embodiment. For example, the volume of the battery cell 72 in the second embodiment is larger than that of the battery cell 72 in the first embodiment. For example, the length A21 of the battery cell 72 in the second embodiment in the predetermined direction X1 is configured to be... Figure 3 In the first embodiment shown, the length A11 of the battery cell 72 in the predetermined direction X1 is equal. For example, in the second embodiment, the length A26 of the battery cell 72 in the height direction X21 is configured to be greater than... Figure 6 The length A16 in the height direction X21 of the first embodiment shown is long.
[0147] Reference Figure 6 and Figure 26The second battery end portion 72B of both the first and second embodiments will be described. For example, the shape and arrangement of the first connector 78C and the engaging portion 72C in the second battery end portion 72B of the second embodiment correspond to the shape and arrangement of the first connector 78C and the engaging portion 72C in the first embodiment. For example, the length A22 of the second embodiment from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end above the first connector 78C is equal to the length A12 of the first embodiment from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end above the first connector 78C. For example, the length A23 of the second embodiment from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end below the first connector 78C is equal to the length A13 of the first embodiment from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end below the first connector 78C. For example, in the second embodiment, the length A24 from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end above the engaging portion 72C is equal to the length A14 from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end above the engaging portion 72C in the first embodiment. Similarly, in the second embodiment, the length A25 from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end below the engaging portion 72C is equal to the length A15 from the upper surface of the battery cell 72 to the end below the engaging portion 72C in the first embodiment.
[0148] For example, the battery unit 72 of the second embodiment can be mounted on the battery support 48 in the same way as the battery unit 72 of the first embodiment. By mounting the battery adapter 90 to the battery unit body 74 of the first embodiment, the battery unit 72 of the first embodiment can be mounted on the battery support 48 corresponding to the battery unit 72 of the second embodiment. Therefore, the rider can select and use the desired battery unit 72 from a plurality of battery units 72 with different battery capacities.
[0149] (Third Implementation)
[0150] Reference Figure 27 and Figure 28 The battery adapter 90 for a human-powered vehicle according to the third embodiment will be described. The same reference numerals as those in the first embodiment will be used for the battery adapter 90 for the human-powered vehicle according to the third embodiment, and repeated descriptions will be omitted.
[0151] The battery adapter 90 of the third embodiment has a third dimension L3 in a direction X2 orthogonal to the predetermined direction X1. The main body end 78 has a fourth dimension L4 in a direction X2 orthogonal to the predetermined direction X1. The fourth dimension L4 is smaller than the third dimension L3. For example, the third dimension L3 and the fourth dimension L4 are dimensions in the height direction X21, respectively. For example, the battery adapter 90 having the third dimension L3 is a second battery adapter 94. The battery adapter 90 having the third dimension L3 can be a first battery adapter 92.
