Chicory meal medium for aspergillus niger cultivation and preparation method thereof

Abstract

This invention discloses a chicory meal culture medium for Aspergillus niger cultivation and its preparation method, belonging to the field of industrial microbial culture and fermentation technology. The culture medium uses chicory meal as the main raw material and includes solid and liquid media. The solid media can be used for the activation, preservation, and growth culture of Aspergillus niger; the liquid media can be used for the fermentation of Aspergillus niger to produce citric acid, malic acid, oxalic acid, and succinic acid. The preparation method includes weighing chicory meal and other culture medium components, adding water to a fixed volume, mixing, sterilizing at 121℃ for 20 min, and cooling for later use. Studies have shown that the chicory meal culture medium can effectively support the growth of Aspergillus niger. In the liquid culture medium, with chicory meal replacing glucose as the carbon source, Aspergillus niger can still ferment to produce citric acid, malic acid, oxalic acid, and succinic acid. This invention can reduce the dependence on refined sugar raw materials during the cultivation and fermentation of Aspergillus niger, reduce the cost of the culture medium, and improve the resource utilization level of chicory meal, showing good application prospects.
