Abstract
This invention discloses a high-strength and controllable degradable chitin composite scaffold, its preparation method, and its applications. The preparation method involves: preparing a mixture of gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxyapatite, and chitin using a sodium hydroxide / urea solution as the system; subjecting the mixture to low-temperature freeze-thaw cycles to obtain chitin gel; and post-processing the chitin gel to obtain the composite scaffold. The post-processing involves alternating soaking, drying, and acetylation of the chitin gel in two solvents; or, alternating soaking, drying, chemical cross-linking, and acetylation of the chitin gel in two solvents. The composite scaffold provided by this invention exhibits extremely high mechanical properties, with a compressive strength exceeding 300 MPa. Even after immersion in a simulated physiological environment for 30 days, the scaffold maintains structural integrity and morphological stability, demonstrating good compatibility with the new bone growth process and avoiding the premature loss of mechanical support caused by the rapid degradation of traditional biodegradable materials.
