AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Polyaniline materials have weak adhesion, poor mechanical properties, and are prone to cracking during use. They also cannot repair micro-cracks on their own, which limits their large-scale application in the industrial field.

Method used

By modifying glass fibers with thiol groups, thiol active groups are introduced and covalently bonded to modified polyaniline through disulfide bonds to form a three-dimensional network structure, which enhances the adhesion and mechanical properties of the material and endows it with self-healing capabilities.

Benefits of technology

It improves the adhesion and crack resistance of polyaniline composite materials, while also possessing self-healing capabilities, thus enhancing their bonding strength and durability on the substrate.

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of high polymer materials, in particular to a high-adhesion modified polyaniline composite material and a preparation method thereof, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) washing glass fibers with acetone to obtain pretreated glass fibers; (2) preparing a silane hydrolysate; (3) immersing the pretreated glass fiber into silane hydrolysate to obtain sulfydryl modified glass fiber; (4) preparing a compound (I) as shown in a formula I by taking mercaptoacetic acid and aniline as synthesis starting points; (5) preparing modified polyaniline from the compound as shown in the formula I, p-phenylenediamine and aniline; and (6) carrying out bonding crosslinking on the sulfydryl modified glass fibers and the modified polyaniline through disulfide bonds to obtain the modified polyaniline composite material. The modified polyaniline composite material disclosed by the invention has relatively good adhesive force, damp-heat resistance, impact resistance, conductivity and self-repairing capability.
