A method for processing thin-walled blades of a titanium alloy integral impeller

By employing segmented cross-machining and online measurement compensation methods, the problems of tool deformation and contour error in the five-axis CNC milling of thin-walled blades of integral titanium alloy impellers were solved, achieving high precision and smooth transition of the blade profile.

Abstract

The application discloses a thin-wall blade machining method of a titanium alloy integral impeller, and comprises the following steps: rough milling a cavity of the titanium alloy integral impeller to leave a reserved amount on a blade profile and a flow channel surface; dividing the blade profile into multiple sections along a radial length direction of the blade from an outer edge to a blade root; sequentially performing semi-finishing, online measurement compensation and finishing on each section in sequence from the outer edge to the blade root, and gradually increasing a small reserved amount left after finishing each section along a direction from the outer edge to the blade root; after finishing each section, performing overall continuous spiral milling on the whole blade profile to remove the small reserved amount; and then performing finishing on the flow channel surface. The application can reduce the deformation of the thin-wall blade during tool leaving, ensure finishing accuracy, eliminate tool joint marks of the sections, and make the blade profile smoothly transition.
