By combining liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) with nucleic acid sequencing, accurate quantification of preS2 protein and precise identification of HBV serum subtypes were achieved. This method solves the problem of insufficient sensitivity of traditional HBsAg detection methods in occult hepatitis B infection and is suitable for high-throughput detection of large numbers of clinical samples.
