By rotating the pivot, the height of the two base plates inside the housing is adjusted according to the height of the cup. The cup is then pressed down from the flared opening and slides between the two arc-shaped clamps inside the housing, thus fixing the cup in place and preventing it from tipping over due to shaking during car operation. 3.
