NEW PROBIOTICS USEFUL FOR ERADICATING HELICOBACTERIA PYLORIS INFECTION

Abstract

New probiotic clones have emerged that have enhanced activity against Helicobacter pylori infection. The new clones are derived from selected strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis lactis sp. They are advantageously insensitive to antibiotics currently used to treat Helicobacter pylori infection, which makes them ideal for co-therapy with said antibiotics in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection. Synergistic effects of combinations between the present probiotics and their strong adjuvant effect on the action of antibiotics on Helicobacter pylori are reported herein.
