A vehicle crew compartment with a filtering equipment

Abstract

The vehicle crew compartment is formed by the driver's cabin, the commander or the passenger and possibly other persons forming the vehicle crew. The vehicle crew compartment contains at least one filter device (10) located inside this space to protect the crew from the ingress of hazardous substances from the vehicle's surroundings. The filter device (10) is placed in a pocket (4) extending from the rear wall (8) of the vehicle crew compartment into the vehicle crew compartment and delimited on the one hand by the pocket walls (4) separating the pocket space (4) from the rest of the vehicle crew compartment and on the other hand by the rear wall of the pocket (4) formed by the relevant part of the rear wall (8) of the vehicle crew compartment.The pocket (4) is provided with a sealed opening through which air passes from the filter device (10) to the vehicle's passenger compartment, and with an access opening to the filter device (10) formed in the rear wall of the pocket (4) and closable by a screwed cover (6) and a door (7), to provide access to the filter device (10) from outside the vehicle, in particular for replacing filters.
