Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a cover arrangement with a load compartment cover arranged behind a vehicle seat in a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle equipped with such a cover arrangement.
[0002] DE 39 22 450 C2 discloses a generic cover arrangement in which a roller cover extending in the transverse direction of the vehicle is inserted with its longitudinal ends into corresponding recesses on the vehicle in a substantially vertical direction and locked there. The roller cover engages positively in the vehicle-side recesses and has preloaded pins that secure the roller cover in the corresponding recesses. To release these spring-loaded pins, an easily accessible actuating element is provided, which has an actuating path that is perpendicular to the displacement path of the corresponding pin.
[0003] DE 36 05 435 A1 and DE 20 2006 019 914 U1 each disclose a load compartment cover that can be inserted horizontally into corresponding receptacles at both longitudinal ends. Both receptacles are designed as open slots into which both longitudinal ends of the load compartment cover can be inserted horizontally.
[0004] Particularly in coupe-style vehicles, a tunnel-like area is created behind the rear seats, making it difficult to install a load compartment cover due to its weight, as the driver is usually standing far away from the mounting points for the cover. However, if the load compartment cover is moved very far back, for example, to facilitate installation, the cover will impede easy loading of the trunk. Furthermore, additional large covers are required for the area between the seat backrests and the load compartment cover, which must be removed separately if the cover needs to be removed.
[0005] The present invention is based on the object of providing an improved embodiment for a generic loading space arrangement, which is characterized in particular by easier assembly and disassembly of a loading space cover.
[0006] The invention solves this problem by the subject matter of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the subclaims.
[0007] The invention is based on the general idea of creating a load compartment cover which is held by its longitudinal ends in vehicle-side receptacles and which is arranged directly behind a vehicle seat and is designed in such a way that the load compartment cover can be fitted and removed from a passenger compartment by inserting one longitudinal end of the load compartment cover horizontally into a receptacle on the driver or passenger side, while its other longitudinal end can be pivoted into the opposite receptacle against the direction of travel of the motor vehicle and locked into place. The fact that the load compartment cover according to the invention can be fitted from the passenger compartment means that the disadvantages known from the prior art, such as in particular a restriction of the rear loading cross-section and difficult fitting and removal, can be avoided.Disassembly from the load compartment of the vehicle can be avoided, which on the one hand facilitates the loading process and on the other hand increases comfort for the driver of the vehicle, particularly when fitting or removing the load compartment cover. Whether the driver-side or passenger-side mount is designed as a plug-in mount and the opposite mount is designed for pivoting in the load compartment cover can be determined individually, for example, depending on the vehicle type.
[0008] An electrical contact device is expediently provided in the area of the driver-side or passenger-side receptacle, via which electrical contact device a load compartment cover having an electric drive is connected to the electrical system of the motor vehicle when installed. In particular in higher-quality motor vehicles, a load compartment cover can be provided with an electric drive for rolling up or extending a luggage compartment blind, whereby the drive must be connected to the electrical system of the motor vehicle for operation. The contact device according to the invention enables electrical contact to be made in a simple manner between the electrical drive of the load compartment cover on the one hand and the electrical system of the motor vehicle on the other, so that a load compartment cover with such an electric drive can be installed and removed in a similarly simple manner as a load compartment cover without an electric drive.
[0009] In a further advantageous embodiment of the solution according to the invention, the load compartment cover is arranged directly behind the vehicle seat or has at least a gap cover, which covers a gap between the backrest and the load compartment cover, particularly in vehicle seats with adjustable backrests. If the load compartment cover according to the invention is arranged directly behind the vehicle seats, a gap cover can usually be dispensed with, whereas in motor vehicle seats, particularly rear seats, with adjustable backrests, a gap remains between the backrest and the load compartment cover, depending on the position of the backrest, which gap can then be covered by the gap cover according to the invention, which is preferably pre-tensioned in the direction of the backrest, so that a closed appearance can be created. At the same time, the gap cover provides visual protection for the cargo stowed under the load compartment cover and protects it from dirt.
[0010] Further important features and advantages of the invention emerge from the subclaims, from the drawings and from the associated description of the figures with reference to the drawings.
[0011] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified in each case, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0012] Preferred embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein the same reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally identical components.
[0013] They show, schematically, Fig. 1 a longitudinal section through a rear area of a motor vehicle with a cover arrangement according to the invention, Fig. 2 a passenger-side mount for a load compartment cover according to the invention, Fig. 3 a driver-side mount for the load compartment cover, Fig. 4 a load compartment cover when installed in the vehicle-side mounts.
[0014] Accordingly Fig. 1, a rear area 1 of a motor vehicle, in particular a coupe-like sports car 2, has a cargo space 3 which is usually accessible via a tailgate 4. In order to be able to prevent a view of cargo stored or stowed directly beneath the tailgate 4, a cargo space cover 5 is provided, which is part of a cover arrangement 6. The cargo space cover 5 has a box-like housing in which a roller cover 7 is wound up, preferably under spring pretension, wherein the roller cover 7 can be pulled out of the housing of the cargo space cover 5 against the direction of travel 8 for privacy purposes and can be fastened with its front end in the extension direction to the tailgate 4 or to another connection point on the motor vehicle. In addition to the load compartment cover 5, which is aligned approximately horizontally in the operating position, the cover assembly 6 may also include a sun or privacy roller extending approximately vertically (not shown in detail in the figures). The sun or privacy roller can be housed either in the housing of the load compartment cover or in a separate housing.
[0015] Again Fig. As can be seen in Figure 1, the load compartment cover 5 is arranged directly behind a vehicle seat 9, which can be designed, in particular, as a rear seat. The load compartment cover 5 has an elongated shape and extends essentially in the transverse direction of the vehicle. With its longitudinal ends 10, 10' (cf. Fig. 4) the load compartment cover 5 is held in vehicle-side mounts 11 and 11'. Examples of such vehicle-side mounts 11 and 11' are shown in detail in the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. According to the invention, the driver-side mount 11 (cf. Fig. 2) is designed in such a way that one longitudinal end 10 of the load compartment cover 5 can be inserted horizontally, while the passenger-side receptacle 11' (cf. Fig. 3) is designed such that the other longitudinal end 10' of the load compartment cover 5 can be pivoted into the receptacle 11' opposite to the direction of travel 8 of the vehicle 2 and can be locked therein. Of course, it is also conceivable that the receptacle 11 is designed according to Fig. 3 on the passenger side and the recording 11' according to Fig. 2 are located on the driver's side.
[0016] Due to the arrangement of the load compartment cover 5 directly behind the vehicle seats 9, it is possible to assemble or disassemble the load compartment cover 5 from a passenger compartment 12.
[0017] The vehicle-side receptacles 11, 11' can be arranged on an interior panel of the motor vehicle 2 and in particular in the region of a C-pillar of the motor vehicle 2. Furthermore, the vehicle-side receptacles 11, 11' are preferably designed as recessed receptacles 11, 11', for example recessed into the interior panel.
[0018] The load compartment cover 5 can also be equipped with an electric drive, which at least assists the rolling-in or rolling-out process of the roller blind 7. For this purpose, electrical contact is required between the electric drive of the load compartment cover 5 and the electrical system of the motor vehicle. It is conceivable that an electrical contact device 13 is provided in the driver-side or passenger-side receptacle 11, 11', via which electrical contact device 13 the load compartment cover 5 having an electric drive is connected to the electrical system of the motor vehicle 2 when installed. The contact device 13 thus makes assembly and disassembly of the load compartment cover 5 with an electric drive just as easy as with a load compartment cover 5 without an electric drive.
[0019] To securely hold the load compartment cover 5 in the receptacles 11 and 11', locking elements 14 can be provided on the respective longitudinal end 10, 10' of the load compartment cover 5, which can be locked with corresponding counter-locking elements or locking openings 15 in the receptacles 11 and 11'. The locking elements 14 can, for example, be designed as spring-loaded locking lugs which are pre-tensioned away from the load compartment cover 5 in the longitudinal direction thereof and, in this pre-tensioned position, engage in the vehicle-side locking openings 15. It is also conceivable that at least one further spring device is provided, via which at least one longitudinal end cap 16 of the load compartment cover 5 is pre-tensioned away from the load compartment cover 5 in the longitudinal direction thereof, the securing of the load compartment cover 5 then taking place via the spring-loaded longitudinal end cap 16 in the respective receptacle 11, 11'.
[0020] The loading area cover 5 is installed or removed as follows: First, the backrests 17 of the vehicle seats 9 must or should be folded forward in the direction of travel 8 to provide unhindered access to the load compartment cover 5. It is conceivable that the person assembling or disassembling the load compartment cover 5 can sit down on the rear side of the folded backrest 17, bringing the person close to the center of gravity of the load compartment cover 5, so that the latter can be removed from or inserted into the lateral receptacles 11, 11' in a very targeted manner and without great effort, even when equipped with an electric drive. Then, from the passenger compartment 12, the load compartment cover 5 is inserted essentially horizontally with one of its longitudinal ends 10 into the driver-side receptacle 11, and then pivoted with its second longitudinal end 10' into the passenger-side receptacle 11' opposite the direction of travel 8.Once its installation position has been reached, the load compartment cover 5 is securely held in the respective receptacles 11, 11' by locking elements 14. Removal of the load compartment cover 5 is carried out in the reverse manner, whereby first the locking elements 14 are unlocked and then the load compartment cover 5 is pivoted out of the receptacle 11' with its longitudinal end 10' in the direction of travel 8 of the motor vehicle 2, in order to subsequently be able to be pulled out of the receptacle 11 with its other longitudinal end 10.
[0021] If the vehicle seats 9 are a driver's seat or a front passenger's seat, their backrest 17 can usually be adjusted, resulting in a more or less wide gap 18 between the backrest 17 and the load compartment cover 5. In order to be able to reliably cover such a gap 18, it is conceivable for the load compartment cover 5 to have a gap cover 19, for example a flap, which flexibly covers the gap 18 created between the backrest 17 and the load compartment cover 5. The gap cover 19 can be pretensioned in the direction of the backrest 17 by means of a spring device. Of course, it is also conceivable that such a gap cover 19 can be dispensed with, provided that the vehicle seats 9 are seats with a non-adjustable backrest 17 and the load compartment cover 5 is arranged directly behind the backrests 17 of the vehicle seats 9.
[0022] In general, the receptacles 11 and 11' are designed such that the longitudinal end 10 positioned first during assembly of the load compartment cover 5 can be easily inserted into the receptacle 11. The subsequently mounted longitudinal end 10' is pushed from the front, i.e. against the direction of travel 8, into the drawer-like receptacle 11'. If the load compartment cover 5 is equipped with an electrically driven roller cover 7, the electrical drive of the load compartment cover 5 is automatically connected to the electrical system of the motor vehicle 2 via the electrical contact 13 during installation of the load compartment cover 5. The contact 13 is preferably provided in the receptacle 11, although it is also conceivable that such an electrical contact 13 is provided in both receptacles 11 and 11'.
[0023] The selected mounting method, i.e., the inventive mounting facing the direction of travel 8, allows for the greatest possible design freedom with regard to the pillar trim. The tolerances between the mounts 11 and 11' and the longitudinal ends 10, 10' of the load compartment cover 5 are preferably accommodated by resilient longitudinal end caps 16, thus creating a uniform joint pattern.
