Abstract

A brake unit (10) for a brake system of a motor vehicle, comprising an actuator arrangement (14), wherein the brake unit (10) comprises a brake unit housing (12) in which displaceable brake pads and a drivable displacement unit (66) for displacing at least one brake pad are accommodated, wherein the actuator arrangement (14) is designed with an electric motor drive unit (16) and a gear unit (20) drivingly connecting the displacement unit (66) and the drive unit (16), wherein the actuator arrangement (14) is of modular construction separate from the brake unit housing (12), wherein the brake unit housing (12), the electric motor drive unit (16), and the gear unit (20) are each designed as individual modules and provided with predetermined mechanical connection areas to one another, wherein the actuator arrangement (14) is provided with an electronic control unit (22) for controlling the drive unit (16),and wherein the electronic control unit (22) is designed as a further module, characterized in that the electronic control unit (22) is provided with a predetermined mechanical connection area to the electromotive drive unit (16) and to the transmission unit (20), wherein the components (14, 16, 20, 22) are each designed in different variants with the same mechanical connection areas.

Claims

[1] Brake unit (10) for a brake system of a motor vehicle with an actuator arrangement (14), wherein the brake unit (10) comprises a brake unit housing (12) in which displaceable brake pads and a drivable displacement unit (66) for displacing at least one brake pad are accommodated, wherein the actuator arrangement (14) is designed with an electric motor drive unit (16) and a gear unit (20) drivingly connecting the displacement unit (66) and the drive unit (16), wherein the actuator arrangement (14) is of modular construction separate from the brake unit housing (12), wherein the brake unit housing (12), the electric motor drive unit (16) and the gear unit (20) are each designed as individual modules and provided with predetermined mechanical connection areas to one another, wherein the actuator arrangement (14) is provided with an electronic control unit (22) for controlling the drive unit (16),and wherein the electronic control unit (22) is designed as a further module, , characterized by that the electronic control unit (22) is provided with a predetermined mechanical connection area to the electromotive drive unit (16) and to the transmission unit (20), wherein the components (14, 16, 20, 22) are each designed in different variants with the same mechanical connection areas. [8] Brake unit (10) according to one of claims 5 to 7, characterized by that the gear housing (421, 422) has openings (44) for the drive-side coupling to the electromotive drive unit (16) and for the output-side coupling to the displacement unit (66). [9] Brake unit (10) according to one of claims 5 to 8, characterized by that the gear unit (20) is designed with a planetary gear which can be coupled to the electric motor drive unit (16) via a belt drive (48).
