Description

The invention relates to a fastening arrangement for a vehicle, in which a belt deflection element of a seat belt is fastened to the vehicle structure, according to the preamble of claim 1.Such belt deflection elements can be a component of a belt height adjustment device, in which the belt deflection element is pivotably fastened to a height-adjustable carrier of the belt height adjustment device by means of a screw connection. The belt height adjustment device can be installed in the B-pillar of a motor vehicle.DE 10 2006 028 892 B4 discloses an exemplary fastening arrangement of such a belt deflection element on the vehicle structure. The belt deflecting element is a one-piece and pot-shaped metal body produced from a steel sheet. In its base wall portion, a fastening opening for screw connection to the vehicle structure and a belt eyelet are formed. In the installed position, the belt eye is bounded on the underside by a web which has a running surface for the seat belt. Preferred developments of the invention are disclosed in the dependent claims.The invention is based on the basic idea that the screw connection for the pivotable fastening of the belt deflection element on the carrier of a height adjustment device on the vehicle side is to be arranged largely set back from the vehicle interior in order to minimize the risks of head impacts. Against this background, according to claim 1, the belt deflection element geometry is designed such that the web of the belt deflection element forming the running surface for the seat belt projects beyond the above-mentioned screw connection with an overdimension in the direction of the vehicle interior. Accordingly, the screw connection is therefore set back with formation of a clearance with respect to the web front edge. In this way, the screw connection can be positioned outside the head impact region with simple means. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the oversize of the web is in a range of 5 to 10 mm, in particular of an order of magnitude of 7.3 mm. The running surface of the web is rounded in cross section according to the invention. According to the invention, the web has an upper apex which merges in a rounded manner into a front web wall, which is oriented in particular approximately vertically and faces the vehicle interior. According to the invention, the end side of the screw connection, that is to say, for example, the screw head or a screw bolt, is set back from the front web wall in the vehicle transverse direction by the above-mentioned excess. According to the invention, the web has a U-shaped profile in cross section, in which the upper apex merges in each case into a front web wall and a rear web wall facing away from the vehicle interior.With regard to the head impact requirements and with regard to a dimensionally stable design of the belt deflection element, it is provided according to the invention that the end side of the screw connection facing the vehicle interior and the upper apex of the web running surface are arranged substantially at the same height. In this case, the screw connection end face and the upper apex of the web running surface therefore lie in a common vertical plane. In a comparative form not encompassed by the invention, the screw connection end side can also be arranged recessed relative to the upper apex of the web running surface.To ensure dimensional stability, the metal body of the belt deflection element can be formed in the shape of a pot with a collar which is raised from the base wall section. In this case, it is particularly preferred with respect to a head impact if the collar edge and the screw connection end side are arranged substantially at the same height, as viewed in the transverse direction of the vehicle. In this case, the collar edge and the screw connection end face are therefore preferably positioned in a common, vertical plane. In order that the screw connection can be set back by a sufficiently large clearance, it is advantageous if the base wall section of the pot-shaped metal body is set back laterally outwards by a transverse offset in the vehicle transverse direction in relation to the web formed on the metal body. In particular, it is advantageous if at least the mounting surface of the wall section facing away from the vehicle interior is set back laterally outwards with respect to a rear edge of the web. In contrast, according to the invention, the mounting surface of the base wall section facing the vehicle interior is recessed relative to the web, preferably likewise. It is particularly preferred if the transverse offset between the mounting surface of the base wall section facing the vehicle interior and the web rear edge is in a range of 0.1 to 1 mm, in particular of an order of magnitude of 0.3 mm. Alternatively, the mounting surface of the base wall section facing the vehicle interior and the rear edge of the web can be arranged approximately at the same height, as viewed in the vehicle transverse direction.The belt deflecting element is a one-piece metal body produced from a steel sheet by cold forming. The metal body can be combined with additional plastic parts. By way of example, a plastic adapter part can be held on the belt deflection element, which plastic adapter part has a cylindrical collar guided through the fastening opening. The cylindrical collar prevents a metallic contact between the screw connection and the opening edge of the fastening opening formed in the metal body. In addition, a plastic panel part can be held on the metal body, which covers an installation opening or a mounting section on the vehicle structure, that is to say the B-pillar, in a manner protected from view. The radially outer bulge of the collar forms, together with the edge of the fastening opening, an intermediate space which is occupied by the latching tab of the panel part. The latching tab and the latching element of the collar are offset angularly with respect to one another in the circumferential direction. This results in the following assembly: First, the panel part is guided through the fastening opening of the metal body in a first mounting direction with the one, preferably with the two, latching lugs. The two latching tabs are guided diametrically opposite one another through the fastening opening and engage behind the edge of the fastening opening with latching projections. The adapter part is subsequently mounted in a second mounting direction which is in the opposite direction to the first mounting direction, in which the collar of the adapter part is guided through the fastening opening in the opposite direction to the two latching lugs. The collar has the bulges reduced in diameter, the size and position of which correspond to the two latching tabs of the panel part. In this way, the collar of the adapter part can be easily guided through the fastening opening until the two latching elements of the collar engage behind the fastening opening. The panel part is preferably mounted on the side of the metal body facing away from the vehicle interior, while the adapter part is mounted on the side of the metal body facing the vehicle interior.In one embodiment, the web delimiting the belt eyelet on the underside can have a central, straight web section, to which web sections bent up laterally in each case connect. The central, straight web section can have a length which is in the order of magnitude of 44 mm, specifically with an overall width of the belt deflecting element which is in a range of 96 mm.In one embodiment variant, the screw head surrounded by the metal body collar can project from the mounting surface facing the vehicle interior into the vehicle interior to a dimension which is preferably in a range of 5 to 15 mm, in particular approximately 9 mm. On the B-pillar 1, a belt height adjustment device is provided, of which only one belt deflecting element 3 is shown in FIG. 1. The belt deflecting element 3 is pivotably fastened to a height-adjustable carrier 5 of the belt height adjusting device by means of a screw connection 7. The screw connection 7 has a screw bolt 8 which is guided through a fastening opening 17 of the base wall section 11 and the screw head 9 of which presses against a base wall section 11 of the belt deflecting element 3 with the interposition of an adapter part 10 described later. The base wall portion 11 is a constituent part of a one-piece metal body M (FIGS. 3, 4, 5 to 6 ) produced from a steel sheet by cold forming. According to the figures, this is approximately cup-shaped, namely with a circumferential collar 15 which is raised from the base wall section 11 in the direction of the vehicle interior 13, and according to FIG. 1 the adapter part 10 mentioned above has a collar 14 which is guided through the fastening opening 17 of the base wall section 11 and prevents metallic contact between the screw bolt 8 and the edge of the fastening opening 17. The cylindrical collar 14 is formed on its free end side (the left side in FIG. 1 ) with latching elements 19 which project downwards and upwards in each case and engage behind the edge of the fastening opening 17. In addition, a belt eye 21 is formed in the base wall section 11, which is bounded on the underside by a web 23. The web 23 forms a running surface for the seat belt 24 and is formed in a U-shaped cross section, namely with an upper apex 25 which merges in a rounded manner into a respective front and a rear web wall 26, 27. To reduce the gap width of the belt eye 21, the adapter part 10 has a displacement body 29. The displacement body 29 engages behind an upper boundary of the belt eyelet 21 with a rear latching edge 30 shown only in FIG. 1, and an outer plastic panel part 33 is also provided, which covers the mounting region on the B-pillar 1 of the motor vehicle in a manner protected from view.According to FIG. 2, the web 23 has a central, straight web section which has a length Δx 1 of 44 mm here, specifically with an overall width of the belt deflection element of 96 mm. The central, straight web section merges according to FIG. 2 into lateral, upwardly bent web sections.As can be further seen from FIG. 1, the web 23 of the belt deflection element 3 projects with its front web wall 26 beyond an end face 35 of the screw head 9 facing the vehicle interior 13 in the vehicle transverse direction y by an excess Δy 1. The excess Δy 1 is 7.3 mm here. Accordingly, the screwing head 9 is therefore set back from the vehicle interior 13 by the clearance f with respect to the front web wall 26, which is advantageous with regard to a crash-induced head impact. The end face 35 of the screw head 9 of the screw connection 7 and the upper apex 25 of the web running surface are arranged here, as viewed in the vehicle transverse direction y, at approximately the same height. At the same time, the collar edge 37 of the collar 15 and the end face 35 of the screw connection 7 are also approximately at the same height. The collar edge 37 of the belt deflection element metal body M and the screw connection end face 35 are therefore arranged without steps with respect to one another and flush with one another with only a small joint spacing. With such an installation geometry, the impact requirements can be met in a simple manner. In order to achieve such a recessed arrangement of the screw connection 7, in FIG. 1 the base wall section 11 of the metal body M is recessed outwards in the transverse direction y in relation to a rear edge 39 of the web 23. In particular, the mounting surface 41 of the base wall section 11 facing the vehicle interior 13 is recessed by a transverse offset Δy 2 relative to the web 23. The transverse offset Δy 2 is 0.3 mm in the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1.The screw head 9 surrounded by the collar 15 projects from the mounting surface 41 facing the vehicle interior 13 into the vehicle interior 13 by a dimension Δy 3 which is 9 mm here. At a head height Δy 4 of the screw head 9, which is 5.7 mm in FIG. 1, the installation geometry indicated above is thus obtained.As already mentioned, the adapter part 10 is held in the fastening opening 17 of the base wall section 11 by means of the two collar-side, mutually opposite latching elements 19. The panel part 33 is likewise in a latching connection with the metal body M of the belt deflection element 3. For this purpose, the panel part 33 according to FIGS. 4, 5 to 6 has in each case inwardly projecting struts 43, at the free ends of which latching lugs 45 are formed. During assembly, according to FIG. 4, the two mutually opposite latching tabs 45 of the panel part 33 are first guided in the assembly direction I through the fastening opening 17 of the metal body M until the latching tabs 45 engage behind the edge of the fastening opening 17 on the opposite side. Subsequently, the adapter part 10 is inserted with its collar 14 into the fastening opening 17 in the opposite direction to the first mounting direction I, namely according to FIG. 5 in the mounting direction II. For easy assembly, the cylindrical collar 14 has two opposing, diameter-reduced bulges 47 (FIG. 5 ) radially on the outside. The position and the size of the bulges 47 correspond to the latching tabs 45 of the panel part 33 in this case. In addition, the latching tabs 45 of the panel part 33 are offset at an angle by 90° with respect to the two latching elements 19 of the adapter part collar 14.
