Description

TECHNICAL AREA

[0001] The invention relates to a fastening device for attaching an air guide device to a vehicle body. The invention also relates to a vehicle. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] Vehicles moving through the air displace air to the sides, which affects the vehicle's fuel consumption. Vehicles such as trucks with a tractor unit and a trailer body are usually equipped with an air deflector, which is supported by the tractor unit body to reduce air resistance. On some trucks, the air deflector is mounted on the roof of the tractor unit body, e.g., the tractor, and is movable along rails that run longitudinally across the roof of the tractor unit body. The air deflector can be positioned in a transport position, a position adapted for a trailer, and a position adapted to a fixed trailer body.

[0003] The air guide is attached using a fastening device in the form of T-bolts, which are vertically arranged and designed to run within the rail element. The air guide can thus be moved into the desired position and then secured using the T-bolts. One problem with such a mounting solution using T-screws is that it is difficult to access the screws below the air guide element of the air guide device, and there is no access in conjunction with the hinge of the air guide element.

[0004] Furthermore, it is difficult to position the air guide device in the desired position, as the operator has to measure the correct position during assembly.

[0005] In this context, DE 27 25 770 A1 and DE 39 30 430 A1 disclose state of the art. TASKS OF INVENTION

[0006] One object of the present invention is to provide a fastening device for attaching an air guide device to a vehicle body, which facilitates simple and efficient mounting of an air guide device to a vehicle body. BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] These and other problems, which are evident from the following description, are solved by the fastening device according to the features of claim 1 and a vehicle equipped therewith according to claim 8. Preferred embodiments are defined in the remaining claims.

[0008] In particular, one object of the invention is achieved by a fastening device for attaching an air guide device to the body of a vehicle, which has a longitudinal axis parallel to the normal direction of travel of the vehicle. The fastening device comprises a sliding element and a support element for attachment to a rail element extending along the longitudinal dimension of the vehicle body. The sliding element is configured to be slidably arranged on the rail element, and the support element is configured to be positioned on the rail element and held in the sliding element. The support element comprises at least one wedge section and is fixed at predetermined locations along the rail element by means of retaining devices, with the sliding element arranged to interact with the support element. This provides means for applying a longitudinal force to the support element and the sliding element, causing the sliding element to slide along the rail element relative to the support element. The sliding element is designed to slide on the at least one wedge section, thereby clamping the support element between the rail element and the sliding element to secure the fastening device to the rail element. This facilitates simple and efficient mounting of the air guide device to the vehicle body. The air guide device can be fixed using a screw element accessible from the rear of the vehicle body. The wedge section facilitates simple and efficient clamping of the fastening device to the rail element.

[0009] According to one embodiment of the fastening device, the support element is arranged to carry the air guide device, and the support element has means for receiving the air guide device. This ensures efficient support of the air guide device.

[0010] According to one embodiment of the fastening device, the sliding element comprises a body that is an integral part of the sliding element and is arranged to interact with the at least one wedge section. This results in a compact device that facilitates simple and efficient clamping of the fastening device to the rail element.

[0011] According to one embodiment of the fastening device, the sliding element comprises a body configured to support a rod element for each of the at least one wedge section of the support element, the rod element extending transversely to the longitudinal direction and arranged to interact with the at least one wedge section. Such a sliding element is relatively easy to manufacture. Furthermore, this results in a sliding element with high structural strength.

[0012] According to one embodiment of the fastening device, the means for applying a force in the longitudinal direction include a screw element arranged at one end of the sliding element body. This facilitates easy assembly and efficient application of force.

[0013] According to one embodiment of the fastening device, features are provided on the rail element and the support element that hold the fastening device in predetermined positions along the rail element. This facilitates easy positioning of the air fastening device and, consequently, the air guide device in a desired position.

[0014] According to one embodiment of the mounting device, the means for receiving the air guide device include means for pivoting the air guide device to set an angle relative to the longitudinal axis. This facilitates easy adjustment of the air guide device to adapt it, for example, to trailer bodies with different external dimensions using the mounting device. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0016] Fig. 1a and Fig. Figure 1b schematically illustrates a vehicle according to the present invention. The vehicle is provided with an air guide device 10, which is attached to the roof of the vehicle body by means of a fastening device I, II according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0017] Vehicle 1 has a longitudinal axis X parallel to its normal direction of travel. Vehicle 1 comprises a first vehicle body 2 and a second vehicle body 4, which is arranged behind the first vehicle body 2. The first vehicle body 2 is therefore the towing vehicle body 2, and the second vehicle body 4 is the trailer vehicle body 4.

[0018] The first vehicle body 2 has a cab section with a roof 2a and two opposite sides 2b, 2c. The second vehicle body 4 is located behind the cab section and is also equipped with a roof. According to the in Fig. In the illustrated embodiment 1a, the vehicle 1 consists of a truck 1, wherein the first vehicle body 2 comprises a tractor unit 2 and the second vehicle body 4 comprises a trailer 4. The trailer 4 is coupled to the tractor unit 2 and is interchangeable, with the height and width of the trailer 4 being able to vary.

[0019] The vehicle 1 can also consist of a vehicle in which the second vehicle body 4 is a fixed vehicle body arranged to be rigidly connected to the first vehicle body 2, i.e., the vehicle 1 is thereby a fixed body or a rigid body.

[0020] A pair of rail elements 40, 50 runs longitudinally along the roof 2a of the first vehicle body 2. The pair of rail elements 40, 50 comprises a right rail element 40, which runs along the right side of the roof 2a, and a left rail element 50, which runs along the left side of the roof 2a. The left and right rail elements are arranged parallel to each other and run at a distance from one another.

[0021] The air guide device 10, arranged on the roof 2a, is positioned to be attached to the respective rail element 40, 50 by means of a fastening device I, II. Thus, a left side of the air guide device 10 is positioned to be attached to the left rail element 50 by means of a fastening device I, II, and the right side of the air guide device 10 is positioned to be attached to the right rail element 40 by means of a fastening device I, II.

[0022] The respective fastening devices I, II are slidably arranged on the respective rail elements 40, 50. The air guide device 10 is thus movably arranged along the rail elements. The air guide device 10 is movably arranged between a transport position P1, a position P2 adapted for a fixed trailer body, and a position P3 adapted for a trailer.

[0023] The vehicle 1 can also be provided with an air guide device 20 of a first side, which is arranged on a side 2b, and with an air guide device 30 of a second side, which is arranged on the opposite side 2c of the first vehicle body 2, as in Fig. Figure 1b illustrates this. Each air guide device 10, 20, 30 is arranged to be supported by the first said vehicle body. Each air guide device 10, 20, 30 is adjustable with respect to the longitudinal axis X for the purpose of reducing air resistance. Each air guide device 10, 20, 30 is arranged to direct the air displaced laterally through the vehicle during travel in a manner that reduces air resistance. The air guide device 10 comprises an air guide element 12.

[0024] The air guide device 10 is adjustable by pivoting about an axis Y which runs in the transverse extension, i.e., width extension, of the vehicle and at a right angle to the longitudinal axis X in conjunction with the front end of the air guide element.

[0025] Fig. 2a-c and Fig. Figures 3a-b show a fastening device I, II according to different embodiments of the present invention. The fastening device according to the embodiments referred to in Fig. 2a-c and Fig. 3a-b are shown, is designed to accommodate an air guide device such as an air guide device 10 in Fig. 1a-b to be installed on the body of a vehicle, such as a vehicle in Fig. 1a-b, which has a longitudinal axis parallel to the normal direction of travel of the vehicle.

[0026] Fig. 2a schematically illustrates a perspective view of a fastening device I according to an embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 2b a transverse cross-sectional view and Fig. 2c a longitudinal sectional view of the fastening device I of Fig. 2a.

[0027] The fastening device I comprises an attachment device for attaching the fastening device I to a rail element 40, which runs in the longitudinal extent of a vehicle body.

[0028] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 2b, the rail element 40 according to this embodiment has an I-beam shape, i.e., the rail element 40 has an upper flat section 42 and a lower section 44, which are connected by a constricted section 46. The constricted section 46 has a first side 46a and an opposite second side 46b. The upper section 42 and the lower section 44 of the rail element 40 have a transverse extension that extends beyond the constricted section 46.

[0029] The mounting device comprises a sliding element 60, which is designed to be slidably arranged on the rail element 40. The fastening device I thus comprises a sliding element 60.

[0030] The sliding element 60 comprises a body that is an integral part of the sliding element 60. Here, the sliding element 60 consists of the body. The sliding element 60 is designed as a single, one-piece body. According to one embodiment, the sliding element 60 is made of a metal material. According to another embodiment, the sliding element 60 is made of pressed steel by bending. The sliding element 60 has a longitudinal extension that is arranged to extend in the longitudinal direction of the rail element 40.

[0031] The sliding element 60 has a substantially C-shaped profile, with the open end positioned so that it points downwards towards the rail element 40. As shown from Fig. As can be seen in 2b, the cross-section of the sliding element 60 has an upper section 62 and opposite side sections 64, 66, which run essentially at right angles to the upper section 62.

[0032] Sections 64 and 66 on the opposite side run substantially parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 60. These sections penetrate inwardly directed end sections 64a and 66a, which are substantially opposite each other. Consequently, the end sections 64a and 66a run substantially parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 60. The end sections are arranged to run in conjunction with the constriction section 46 of the rail element to hold the sliding element 60 within the rail element 40 and to facilitate the sliding of the sliding element 60 relative to the rail element 40 in the longitudinal direction.

[0033] The upper section 62 of the body of the sliding element 60 has a front region 62a and a rear region 62b as well as an intermediate opening 62c, which is arranged between the front region and the rear region of the upper section of the body of the sliding element 60, as shown in Fig. 2a is evident. The front region 62a of the upper section 62 has a top surface 62a1 and a bottom surface 62a2. The rear region 62b of the upper section has a top surface 62b1 and a bottom surface 62b2. The top and bottom surfaces of the front and rear regions are shown in Fig. 2c shown.

[0034] The upper section 62, which includes the front section 62a and the rear section 62b, runs in the longitudinal direction at an angle α with respect to the longitudinal extent of the end sections 64a, 66a.

[0035] The body of the sliding element 60 comprises a substantially vertical rear section 68, which is an extension of the rear region 62a of the upper section 62. The rear section 68 of the body runs vertically, i.e., substantially at right angles to the extensions of the end sections 64a, 66a and the side sections 64, 66 over a certain distance, such that when the sliding element 60 is attached to the rail element 40, the rear section 68 does not reach the upper section of the rail element 40. The rear element 68 has a width that is smaller than the width of the front and rear regions; that is, the distance between the side sections 64, 66 is greater than the width of the rear section 68.

[0036] The rear section 68 is arranged to receive a screw element 70. The screw element is arranged to extend through a hole in the rear section 68 in the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 60. According to one embodiment, the hole in the rear section 68 is threaded for receiving the screw element 70. The screw element 70 is fastened to the rear section 68 by means of a screw nut element 72. The screw element 70 can be screwed in longitudinally along the sliding element 60 by applying a screw force.

[0037] The attachment device further comprises a support element 80. The fastening device I thus comprises a support element 80.

[0038] The support element 80 comprises a wedge section 82. The wedge section 82 has a top surface 82a with an upper surface and a bottom surface 82b with a flat surface. The wedge section 82 has side sections 82c, 82d, a front section 82e, and a substantially vertical rear section 82f.

[0039] The surface of the underside 82b is arranged to rest on the upper side 42 of the rail element 40.

[0040] The longitudinal extent of the upper surface 82a of the wedge section 82 forms an angle α with respect to the longitudinal extent of the lower surface that forms the wedge section 82.

[0041] The support element 80 is arranged to carry the air guide device. The support element 80 includes means 84 for receiving the air guide device.

[0042] The device 84 for receiving the air guide is arranged on the upper section of the wedge section 82 of the support element 80. The device 84 for receiving the air guide comprises device 84a for pivoting the air guide about an axis Y to set an angle relative to the longitudinal extent of the vehicle. The upper section forms a sliding surface.

[0043] The device 84a for pivoting the air guide includes a roller element to support the air guide in a pin-like manner.

[0044] The support element 80 comprises retaining devices 86a, 86b, which are arranged on the underside 82b of the wedge section 82 for holding the support element 80 at predetermined positions along the rail element 40. The retaining devices 86a, 86b are arranged to interact with retaining devices 48a, 48b, which are arranged at predetermined positions along the rail element 40.

[0045] According to this embodiment, the retaining device 86a, 86b on the underside 82b of the wedge section 82 comprises bead sections 86a, 86b or bulge sections that project from the underside 82b of the wedge section 82. The retaining device 48a, 48b, which is arranged at predetermined positions along the rail element 40, thereby comprises recess sections 48a, 48b on the upper section 42 of the rail element 40 for interacting with the bead sections 86a, 86b to position the support element 80 at one of the predetermined positions P1, P2, P3, as described in [reference to]. Fig. 1a described.

[0046] The wedge section 82 according to this embodiment comprises a first bead section 86a, which is arranged in a region in front of the center point of the underside 82b of the wedge section 82, and a second bead section 86b, which is arranged in a region behind the center point of the underside 82b of the wedge section 82. The recess sections 48a, 48b on the top surface 42 of the rail element 40 accordingly comprise a first recess section 48a and a second recess section 48b, which are arranged at a distance corresponding to the distance between the first and second bead sections 86a, 86b of the wedge section 82 of the support element 80.

[0047] Alternatively, the retaining devices on the rail element could include bead sections, and the retaining devices on the underside of the wedge section could include recess sections for positioning the wedge section.

[0048] Thus, the devices 48a, 48b of the rail element 40 and devices 86a, 86b of the support element 80 are provided, which hold the fastening device I at predetermined positions along the rail element 40.

[0049] The support element 80 is designed to be positioned on the rail element 40 and held in the sliding element 60. When the support element 80 is positioned on the rail element 40 and held in the sliding element 60, the device 84 for receiving the air guide is arranged to protrude through the opening 62c of the sliding element 60.

[0050] The sliding element 60 is arranged to interact with the support element 80 during the fastening of the fastening device I. The body of the sliding element 60 is arranged to interact with the wedge section 82 of the support element 80.

[0051] This provides means for applying a longitudinal force to the support element 80, causing the sliding element 60 to slide along the rail element 40 relative to the support element 80. The means for applying a longitudinal force include the screw element 70 arranged on the rear section 68 of the sliding element body. The end of the screw element 70 is arranged to be in contact with the rear section 82f of the wedge section 82 of the support element 80.

[0052] When a force is applied, i.e., when the screw element 70 is screwed such that the end section 70a of the screw element 70 applies a force to the rear section 82f of the wedge section 82 of the support element 80, the sliding element 60 is caused to move relative to the support element 80 and relative to the rail element 40, with the support element 80 being positioned on the rail element 40 by means of the holding devices 86a, 86b, 46a, 46b.

[0053] By applying the force of the screw element 70 to the support element 80, the sliding element 60 is thus configured to slide on the wedge section 82, thereby clamping the rail element 40 for attaching the fastening device I to the rail element 40. As a result, the underside 62a2, 62b2 of the front section 62a and the rear section 62b slide on the surface of the top 82a of the wedge section 82, thus compressing the wedge section 82 between the sliding element 60 and the rail element 40.

[0054] According to the embodiment in Fig. 2a-c, as described above, the rear section 68 of the sliding element is essentially at right angles to the extension of the end sections 64a, 66a, and the rear section 82f of the support element 80 is essentially vertical, i.e. parallel to the rear section 68.

[0055] According to an alternative embodiment (not shown), the rear section 68 of the sliding element 60 is substantially perpendicular to the upper surface, i.e., the sliding surface, and the rear section 82f of the support element 80 is also perpendicular to the upper surface, i.e., the sliding surface. In this embodiment, the extension of the screw element 70 is arranged parallel to the extension of the sliding surface and at right angles to the rear section of the sliding element and the rear section of the support element. Thus, the screw element 70 extends substantially parallel to the sliding surface and substantially at right angles to the rear sections. This ensures that the screw force is applied in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the sliding surface.

[0056] Fig. Figure 3a schematically illustrates a perspective view of a sliding element 160 of a fastening device II according to an embodiment of the present invention and Fig. 3b a side view of a support element 180 of the fastening device II.

[0057] The fastening device II according to the embodiment in Fig. 3a and Fig. 3b differs from the fastening device I according to the in Fig. The embodiment shown in Figures 2a-c comprises the sliding element 160 and the support element 180. The fastening device thus includes attachments for securing the fastening device II to a rail element extending longitudinally along the vehicle body. The attachment device, and therefore the fastening device II, comprises a sliding element 160 and a support element 180. The Fig. The rail element not shown in 3a-b is in accordance with rail element 40 in Fig. 2a-c.

[0058] The sliding element 160 comprises a body. The body of the sliding element has opposite side sections 164, 166 and a rear section 168 that connects the side sections 164, 166.

[0059] The opposing side sections 164, 166 run essentially parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 160. The opposing side sections 164, 166 project into inwardly directed end sections 164a, 166a, which are essentially opposite each other. The end sections 164a, 166a therefore run essentially parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 160. The end sections 164a, 166a are arranged to run in conjunction with the constricted section of the rail element in order to hold the sliding element 160 in the rail element and to facilitate the sliding of the sliding element 160 relative to the rail element in the longitudinal direction.

[0060] The body of the sliding element is designed to support a first rod element 169a and a second rod element 169b. The respective rod elements 169a and 169b are arranged to extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 160. Each rod element is located between the opposite side sections 164 and 166 of the body of the sliding element 160. The first rod element 169a is located in a front region of the body of the sliding element 160, and the second rod element 169b is located in a rear region of the body of the sliding element 160, on substantially the same plane with respect to the end sections 164a and 166a.

[0061] The rear section 168 is arranged to receive a screw element 170. The screw element 170 is arranged to extend through a hole in the rear section 168 in the longitudinal direction of the sliding element 160. According to one embodiment, the hole in the rear section is provided with a thread for receiving the screw element 170. The screw element 170 can be screwed into the sliding element 160 in the longitudinal direction by applying a screw force.

[0062] The support element 180 has a top surface 180a with an upper surface and a bottom surface 180b. The support element 180 has a substantially vertical rear section 180c.

[0063] The support element 180 comprises a first wedge section 182a and a second wedge section 182b. The first wedge section 182a is arranged in front of the second wedge section 182b. The first wedge section 182a has an upward flank directed backward in the longitudinal direction of the support element 180, the flank of the first wedge section 182a having an inclination with respect to the underside 180b at an angle β. The second wedge section 182b has an upward flank directed backward in the longitudinal direction of the support element 180, the flank of the second wedge section 182b having an inclination with respect to the underside 180b at an angle corresponding to the angle β of the first wedge section 182a. The first wedge section 182a forms a first sliding surface, and the second wedge section 182b forms a second sliding surface.

[0064] The support element 180 is arranged to support the air guide device. The support element 180 includes devices 184 for receiving the air guide device.

[0065] The device 184 for receiving the air guide is arranged in the front region of the support element 180. The device 184 for receiving the air guide comprises a claw element 184a, which is arranged for receiving the air guide. The claw element 184a is designed to allow the air guide to pivot about an axis Y for adjustment with respect to the longitudinal extent of the vehicle.

[0066] The support element 180 comprises retaining devices 186a, 186b, which are arranged on the underside 180b of the support element 180 for holding the support element 180 at predetermined positions along the rail element. The retaining devices 186a, 186b are arranged to interact with retaining devices that are arranged at predetermined positions along the rail element. The retaining devices 186a, 186b according to this embodiment essentially correspond to the retaining devices according to the embodiment in Fig. 2c.

[0067] The support element 180 is designed to be positioned on the rail element and held in the sliding element 160. When the support element 180 is positioned on the rail element and held in the sliding element 160, the device for receiving the air guide is arranged to project in front of the sliding element 160.

[0068] The sliding element 160 is arranged to interact with the support element 180 during the fastening of the fastening device II. The rod elements 169a, 169b of the sliding element 160 are arranged to interact with the wedge sections 182a, 182b of the support element 180. The rod elements 169a, 169b are in Fig. Figure 3b is shown with dashed lines for illustrative purposes. The first rod element 169a is arranged to interact with the first wedge section 182a, and the second rod element 169b is arranged to interact with the second wedge section 182b.

[0069] This provides means for applying a force in the longitudinal direction to the support element 180, such that the sliding element 160 slides along the rail element relative to the support element 180. The means for applying a force in the longitudinal direction comprises the screw element 170, which is arranged on the rear section 168 of the sliding element body. The end 170a of the screw element 170 is arranged to be in contact with the rear section 180c of the support element 180.

[0070] When a force is applied, i.e., when the screw element 170 is screwed in such a way that the end section 170a of the screw element 170 applies a force to the rear section 180c of the support element 180, the sliding element 160 is caused to move relative to the support element 180, the support element 180 being positioned by means of the holding devices 186a 186b.

[0071] By applying the force of the screw element 170 to the support element 180, the respective rod element 169a, 169b of the sliding element 160 is thereby designed to slide on the respective wedge section 182a, 182b, whereby the rail element for attaching the attachment devices, i.e., the fastening device II, is clamped onto the rail element.

[0072] This causes the first rod element 169a to slide on the surface of the first wedge section 182a, and the second rod element 169b to slide on the surface of the second wedge section 182b, whereby the first and the second wedge sections 182a, 182b are squeezed between the sliding element 160 and the rail element.

[0073] In the embodiment of the fastening device according to the embodiment in Fig. In 3a-b, the sliding element has two rod elements and the support element has two wedge sections. The sliding element can have any number of rod elements, such as one or three, and the support element a corresponding number of wedge sections, such as one or three.

[0074] According to the embodiment in Fig. 3a-b, as described above, the rear section 168 of the sliding element 160 is essentially at right angles to the extension of the end sections 164a, 166a, and the rear section 180c of the support element 180 is essentially vertical, i.e. parallel to the rear section 168.

[0075] According to an alternative embodiment (not shown), the rear section 168 of the sliding element 160 is substantially perpendicular to the first and second upper surfaces, i.e., the respective sliding surfaces, and the rear section 180c of the support element 180 is also perpendicular to the respective sliding surfaces. In this embodiment, the extension of the screw element 170 is arranged parallel to the extension of the sliding surface and at right angles to the rear section of the sliding element and the rear section of the support element. Thus, the screw element 170 extends substantially parallel to the sliding surfaces and substantially at right angles to the rear sections. This ensures that the screw force is applied in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the sliding surfaces.
