Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a separating profile for dividing a plaster body, which can be applied to a plaster base and which may be multi-layered, into two partial areas, wherein the separating profile has a base area and, starting therefrom, a plastering strip which projects to the height of the plaster thickness and which has a removal edge or surface formed at the end, wherein a protective element which projects beyond the removal edge or surface and can be removed after the completion of the plastering work is attached to or in the plastering strip.
[0002] Separation profiles are also known, for example, as field boundary profiles for subdividing large flooring or screed areas. They extend from the surface of the flooring to a sub-layer, usually an insulation layer, and feature an expansion joint that compensates for relative movements between the divided areas and largely prevents cracks from forming in other areas.
[0003] DE 35 03 395 A1 discloses a separating profile for screed or concrete surfaces. This essentially consists of two angle profiles arranged at a distance from one another. The end legs of the angle profiles are aligned perpendicularly to the fastening legs and are elastically connected to one another at the top and bottom by corresponding profiles to form an expansion joint, enclosing a hollow space. For anchoring in the screed, clamping elements can be formed on the inside of the end legs. However, such profiles are not suitable for dividing plaster surfaces, for example window frames (pilaster strips), which have a different color than the adjacent plaster surface, since the visible expansion joint is disruptive and a clear demarcation between the different colored areas can only be achieved with great effort.
[0004] Furthermore, EP 0 875 641 B1 discloses a corner plastering bead whose base profile is designed as a corner angle bead, rests on a plaster base, and has a reinforcing mesh on both sides. A plastering bead is arranged at the angle apex, projecting outward at approximately 45°, the free end of which serves as a screed for a plaster layer.
[0005] However, such profiles are not suitable for the clean separation of adjacent plaster surfaces or plaster elements if they have different colors and / or surface structures. Whenever larger plaster surfaces are to be divided by color accents or surface structures, or when window frames are to be created, for example, the problem arises of creating a clean demarcation between flat areas of different plaster colors and textures.
[0006] In this context, DE 33 42 342 A1 discloses a joint tape for separating two surface areas of a floor screed. This tape comprises a retaining element, for example made of rigid PVC, arranged on a supporting layer or an insulating layer, into which a strip of a relatively soft plastic is inserted, separating the partial areas of the screed. After the screed work is completed, the soft strip can be cut off or removed from the retaining web of the retaining element.
[0007] Furthermore, DE 298 23 252 U1 discloses a separating profile for flowing floors with a substantially L- or T-shaped cross-section. The separating profile comprises a profile flange adjacent to the floor and a profile web aligned perpendicularly to it. Several notches running parallel to the profile flange are arranged in the profile web, along which the profile flange can be shortened and adjusted to the desired height.
[0008] DE 197 19 501 A1 describes an arrangement for covering an expansion joint in a thermal expansion layer. The arrangement comprises two-leg plastic joint profiles arranged on both sides of the expansion joint, with one leg extending into the expansion joint. The ends of the two legs are connected inside the expansion joint with a U-shaped, foil-like rubber sealing profile.
[0009] The object of the invention is to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages of conventional separating profiles and to develop a separating profile in such a way that a clean demarcation between plaster bodies with different plaster colors or plaster structures can be created in a simple manner, in particular when the adjacent plaster surfaces lie in one plane.
[0010] According to the invention, this is achieved in that the protective element consists essentially of a film-like material and is designed to be foldable to alternately cover the individual sections of the plaster body. During plastering work, the adjacent section is protected or covered by the protective element from contamination. After the plastering work is completed, the protective element can be removed and disposed of along with the adhering plaster residue. This creates a visually appealing, clean dividing line between the adjacent sections, with the screed edge or a narrow screed surface of the plastered-in dividing profile barely visible in the finished plaster surface.
[0011] A first group of embodiments according to the invention is characterized in that the protective element is held, preferably by mechanical clamping, in a receiving groove of the plastering strip that opens along the removal edge or surface. After completion of the plastering work, the protective element is pulled out of the receiving groove and disposed of.
[0012] In a second group of inventive embodiments, the protective element is connected to the stripping edge or stripping surface of the plastering bead via a material constriction or a perforation zone in a tear-off manner. After the plastering work is completed, the protective element can be separated from the plastering bead without tools. However, it is also possible to cut the protective element using a knife along the stripping surface as a guide.
[0013] Finally, the protective element can consist of a film-like material and have an anchoring element made of a thermoplastic elastomer or a casting compound in an edge region, which is accommodated in an undercut channel of the plaster strip.
[0014] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments. [0015] Parts with the same function are provided with the same reference symbols in the different versions.
[0016] The Fig. 1 to Fig. The separating profile 10 of a first embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 4 serves to divide a possibly multi-layered plaster body 2, which can be applied to a plaster base 1, e.g., an insulating layer, into two immediately adjacent partial areas A and B, wherein the plaster body 2 can consist of a base coat 3 or a filler and a fine plaster layer 4 forming the plaster surface. At least the fine plaster layer 4 has a different color and / or a different surface structure (smoothness, grain size of the plaster components) in the partial areas A and B.
[0017] The separating profile 10 essentially consists of a base area 11, which rests on the insulation layer and, starting from there, of a section into which the height of the plaster thickness (see Fig. 2) upstanding plaster strip 12, which has a removal edge 13 or a narrow removal surface 24 at the free end (see Fig. 8, Fig. 9) at which the decorative plaster layer 4 can be removed. To protect the other part of the plaster surface 2, a protective element 15 is attached to the plastering strip 12, projecting beyond the removal edge 13 or the removal surface 14 and removable after completion of the plastering work.
[0018] The protective element 15 essentially consists of a thin, foil-like material and is designed to be foldable to alternately cover the partial areas A, B of the cleaning body 2 onto these partial areas A, B.
[0019] Both variants of the protective element 15 can be arranged in a longitudinal direction of the discharge edge 13 or discharge surface 14 (see for example Fig. 8 or Fig. 9) opening receiving groove 16 of the plaster strip 12, preferably by mechanical clamping.
[0020] In the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 the plastering process of a separating profile 10 with a thin foil-like protective element 15 is explained in more detail.
[0021] After fixing the separating profile 10 to the plaster base 1 (e.g. an insulation layer) using a filler or base coat 3, the protective element 15 is first folded over or turned over in the partial area A to a position shown in dashed lines and in the partial area B the fine plaster layer 4 is applied in a first color and removed at the removal edge 13 (see Fig. 3).
[0022] After the plaster layer in area B has hardened, the protective element 15 is folded over into the partial area B (to the position shown in dashed lines) and in the partial area A the decorative plaster layer 4 is applied in a second color and then removed again at the removal edge 13 (see Fig. 4). After completion of the plastering work, the protective element 15 is pulled out of the receiving groove 16 of the plastering strip 12.
[0023] The base region 11 of the separating profile 10 has two base legs 11a, 11b, preferably projecting symmetrically from the plaster strip 12, each with a reinforcing mesh 27, which is preferably attached by means of extruded retaining strips 28. A manufacturing method is preferably used that is described in more detail in EP 1 712 700 A2.
[0024] According to the invention, the base profile 11 can have a flexurally elastic region 17, for example made of a thermoplastic elastomer, along the groove base of the receiving groove 16. This region serves to exert a bending load in this region during the manufacture of the separating profile 10, which leads to an opening of the receiving groove 16. After the protective element 15 is inserted into the receiving groove 16, it is clamped in the groove 16 after the bending load has been removed.
[0025] In the version according to Fig. 5, the separating profile 10 including the plastering strip 12 is constructed in two parts and has locking elements 19, 20 in the base area 11 for the positive or frictional connection of both parts, whereby the receiving groove 16 for the protective element 15 is formed by opposing parts of the plastering strip 12. The protective element 15 can thus be clamped when the two parts are joined together and thus held in the receiving groove 16. The locking elements can be, for example, a groove 19 in one part, into which a corresponding web 20 of the other part engages.
[0026] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 6, the separating profile 10 can have a continuous reinforcement grid 27 for both base legs 11a, 11b, wherein the plastering strip 12 is extruded onto the base region 11 of the separating profile 10 with a widened foot section and the reinforcement grid 27 interposed. In addition, retaining strips 28 are extruded onto both sides of the plastering strip 12.
[0027] The design variant according to Fig. 7 is characterized in that the protective element 15 is tearably connected to the pull-off edge 13 of the cleaning strip 12 via a material constriction 21 or a perforation zone. A soft region, such as a TPE, can be provided in the region of the material constriction to facilitate folding over the protective element 15. In the illustrated embodiment, the protective element 15 has, in the region facing the pull-off edge 13 of the cleaning strip 12, a retaining web 22 with a receiving groove 23 for a thin, film-like material, wherein the retaining web 22 is connected to the pull-off edge 13 via the material constriction 21.
[0028] The embodiments according to the invention in the Fig. 8, Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 show separating profiles 10 in which the protective element 15 consists of a foil-like material and has in a base-side edge region an anchoring element 24 made of a thermoplastic elastomer or a casting compound, which anchoring element 24 is arranged in an undercut channel 25 ( Fig. 8, Fig. 9) or 26 ( Fig. 10) of the plaster strip 12 is picked up and held.
[0029] In the variants according to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, the foil-like material of the protective element 15 protrudes from the plaster strip 12 through the receiving groove 16 in the area of the narrow removal surfaces 14, in the variant according to Fig. 10, the pull-off edges 13 are formed on both sides of the protective element 15 by the anchoring element 24.
[0030] For the separating profiles 10 according to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, the base region 11 has a region 18 of reduced wall thickness along the groove base of the receiving groove 16 and is therefore designed to be flexurally elastic, which facilitates the reception of the protective element 15 during the manufacture of the separating profile 10.
[0031] Protective elements 15, which preferably consist of rigid plastic strips, can be arranged adjacent to the extraction surface 14 (see Fig. 8 to Fig. 10) or peel-off edge 13. These are peeled off from both sides of the protective element 15 after the application of the decorative plaster layers, while these layers are still wet, thus avoiding material residues in the transition area between the two plaster areas and achieving a clean, even surface. After the plaster layers have hardened, the protective element 15 is also removed.
[0032] The separating profile 10 according to Fig. 11 and Fig.12 has, on the side of the base region 11 facing away from the plaster bead 12, at least one retaining means 29 that can be pressed or inserted into the plaster base 1, for example, an insulating layer. The retaining means 29 that can be pressed into the insulating layer can be designed as an undercut anchoring web 30 with a pointed cross-section, which can also be divided into individual points 31 by punching out (see dashed area), which facilitate pressing into the insulating layer.
