Abstract
Description
Field of the InventionThe present invention relates to a child seat having a locking strap connected to a backrest.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONGenerally, a child seat uses two fastening straps to hook onto two anchors of a vehicle seat for secure installation to properly retain a child in the event of an accident. However, since the fastening belt is simply stored or placed elsewhere on the child seat and then taken out as needed to detachably connect a rear side of the child seat to the anchor on the vehicle seat, the fastening belt can be easily routed or lost when not in use, so that many inconveniences are generated in using the fastening belt of a caregiver.US 2002 / 0 113 470 A1 discloses a child seat arrangement for use with a vehicle seat. The assembly includes a child seat for mounting to the vehicle seat and an anchoring system for the vehicle connected to the seat. The child seat includes a first pair of openings and a second pair of openings. The vehicle anchoring system includes an anchoring strap adapted for connection to a pair of anchor assemblies provided in or near the vehicle seat. The anchor strap includes a strap having a central portion and opposing end portions, and a connector connected to each end portion and adapted for connection to one of the anchor brackets. The anchor strap is passed through the first apertures to place the seat in a first rearward position and the anchor strap is passed through the second apertures to place the seat in a second forward position. The in-vehicle anchor system also includes a tether connected to the child seat and the central portion of the anchor strap. The tether remains connected to the seat and the anchor strap when the anchor strap is moved between the first and second openings of the seat. The prior art further comprises US 2005 / 0151 401 A1, GB 2 282 321 A, DE 10 2016 109 691 A1 and US 2011 / 0 057 489 A1.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAgainst this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide a child seat having a locking strap connected to a backrest. In this way, the present invention not only employs the configuration in which the fastening belt is directly connected to the seat back to solve the problem of the related art that the fastening belt is easily laid or lost when not in use, but also more securely fixes the child seat to the vehicle seat by passing the fastening belt over the front side of the seat back to ensure that the child seat does not detach from the vehicle seat even in the event of an accident. This object is achieved by a child seat having the features of the independent claims. The dependent claims disclose preferred developments of the invention. As will become more apparent from the detailed description that follows, the claimed child seat is for use on a vehicle seat, and the vehicle seat has two anchors. The claimed child seat includes a backrest, a seat surface and a closure strap. The seat surface is connected to the backrest for jointly providing a seat. The fastening belt includes a connecting belt, first and second branch belts extending from the connecting belt, and two fasteners connected to the first and second branch belts, respectively. The connecting strap is connected to the backrest and guided around the backrest together with the first and second branching straps, so that the two closures are arranged accordingly on the two lateral sides of the backrest and can be releasably engaged with the two anchorings for fastening the child seat to the vehicle seat.Brief Description of the DrawingsFurther details, features and advantages of the invention are evident from the following description of exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings. The fastening belt 20 includes a connecting belt 22, a first branch belt 24, a second branch belt 26, and two fasteners 28, 30. The first branch belt 24 and the second branch belt 26 extend from the connecting belt 22, respectively, and the shutter 28 and the shutter 30 are connected to the first branch belt 24 and the second branch belt 26, respectively. In one embodiment, the first and second branching straps 24, 26 are connected as a continuous strap, and the connecting strap 22 forms a loop that translates along the continuous strap. In this embodiment, the seatback 16 may include the storage space 17 formed on a rear side S 1 of the seatback 16 for storing the fastening belt 20, an end of the connecting belt 22 may be fixed to the rear side S 1 of the seatback 16, and the child seat 10 may further include a cover 32 (preferably, but not limited to, an inverted T-shape) pivotally fixed to the seatback 16 for covering the storage space 17.Reference is made in particular to FIGS. 2 and 3. As illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, the storage space 17 may include a strap storage portion 34 for storing the connection strap 22, the first branch strap 24, and the second branch strap 26, and the storage space 17 may further include two shutter storage portions 36, 38 disposed at two sides of the shutter storage portion 34 for respectively storing one of the two shutters 28, 30. In practical application, the child seat 10 may further employ the lock positioning structure. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, a limiting rib 40 may protrude from a side wall 42 of the shutter storage portion 36 and may laterally abut on the shutter 28 to securely hold the shutter 28 accommodated in the shutter storage portion 36, and a limiting rib 41 may protrude from a side wall 39 of the shutter storage portion 38 and may laterally abut on the shutter 30 to securely hold the shutter 30 accommodated in the shutter storage portion 38. Moreover, a positioning hole 44 may be formed on an upper wall 46 of the shutter storage portion 36, and the shutter 28 may have a positioning rib 48 corresponding to the positioning hole 44. Accordingly, for securely positioning the shutter 28 in the shutter storage portion 36, the positioning rib 48 can be inserted into the positioning hole 44. Note that the positioning opening configuration on the shutter storage portion 38 may be employed for securely positioning the shutter 30 in the shutter storage portion 38, and the description thereof may be omitted herein by analogy. Moreover, in this embodiment, the fastening belt 20 preferably employs a push-type fastening structure shown in FIG. 4, which shows a view of the fastening belt 20 in FIG. 3 pulled out from the storage space 17 for passing around the seat back 16, and the positioning rib 48 for positioning the fastener 28 in the fastener storage area 36 must thus be inserted into the positioning hole 44. In another embodiment, the fastening strap 20 may instead employ a hook-and-loop fastener configuration. That is, the fastener tape 20 may use a hook of a hook fastener to hook the positioning hole 44 directly for positioning the hook fastener in the fastener storage portion 36. Since the hook fastener can be securely accommodated in the fastener storage portion 38 by hooking the positioning hole 44, the limiting rib 40 does not need to abut on the hook fastener in this embodiment. Which positioning configuration is employed will depend upon the practice of the present invention.A more detailed description of the storage and use of the fastening strap 20 is provided below. Reference is made to FIGS. 2, 3, 5 and 6. FIG. 5 shows a view of the first branching strap 24 in FIG. 4, which is guided over a front side S 2 of the backrest 16 to a lateral side S 3 of the backrest 16. When the fastening belt 20 is not in use as illustrated in FIGS. 3, 4, and 5, the user may place the connection belt 22, the first branch belt 24, and the second branch belt 26 in the belt storage area 34, and thereafter may place the fasteners 28, 30 in the fastener storage areas 36, 38, respectively. Subsequently, the user can use the cover 32 to cover the strap storage area 34 and partially cover the two closure storage areas 36, 38 to partially expose the two closures 28, 30 (as shown in FIG. 2 ) so that the user clearly knows where the two closures 28, 30 are housed for convenient use.On the other hand, if the user wants to use the fastener tape 20, the user must open the cover 32 (as shown in FIG. 3 ) and then remove the fasteners 28, 30 from the fastener storage areas 36, 38. Subsequently, the user may pull the closure strap 20 out of the storage space 17 and guide the connection strap 22 around the backrest 16 together with the first branching strap 24 and the second branching strap 26, such that the two closures 28, 30 are arranged on the two lateral sides S 3, S 4 of the backrest (as illustrated in FIG. 4 ). More specifically, the user may guide the connecting strap 22 from the rear side S 1 to the front side S 2 of the seatback 16 to guide the first branching strap 24 via the front side S 2 to the lateral side S 3 of the seatback 16 (as shown in FIG. 5 ) and guide the second branching strap 26 along the lateral side S 4 of the seatback 16. Finally, the user may use the latches 28, 30 disposed on the two lateral sides S 3, S 4 of the seat back 16 (as shown in FIG. 4 ), respectively, for releasable engagement with the two anchors 14. Thus, the child seat 10 can be fixed to the vehicle seat 12 by the engagement of the closure 28 and the anchor 14, and the engagement of the closure 30 and the anchor 14. In this way, the present invention not only employs the configuration in which the fastening belt is directly connected to the rear side S 1 of the seat back 16 to solve the problem of the related art that the fastening belt is easily laid or lost when not in use, but also secures the child seat to the vehicle seat more securely by passing the fastening belt over the front side of the seat back so as to ensure that the child seat does not detach from the vehicle seat in the event of an accident.Note that the shutter storage structure is not limited to the above embodiment. See, for example, Figs. 6 and 7. FIG. 6 shows an illustration of a child seat 100 which is arranged on the vehicle seat 12 according to a further exemplary embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 7 shows a representation of the child seat 100 in FIG. 6 from a different angle of view.
