Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a training device with at least one cable pulley arrangement for operation by the muscle power of a training user, at least one handle attachable to the cable pulley arrangement for handling by the user when operating the cable pulley arrangement, at least one weight that can be lifted via the operation of the cable pulley arrangement, at least one bench with a support surface for the user to sit and / or lie on when operating the cable pulley arrangement, wherein the support surface of the bench can be moved into at least two height settings, and at least one support for supporting the limbs of the user sitting or lying on the support surface when operating the cable pulley arrangement, wherein the support can be aligned in at least two orientation positions relative to the support surface.
[0002] US Patent 4,907,798 A discloses an exercise device comprising a bench with a front seat section connected by a hinge to a rear backrest section, which is adjustable in height and tilt or completely removable from the device. A pivoting leg exercise attachment is mounted at the front of the exercise device.
[0003] For example, DE 20 2018 100 743 U1 discloses a training device with a cable pulley system for operation by the muscle power of a user. This training device has a handle that can be attached to the cable pulley system for handling by the user when operating the system. It also includes a weight that can be lifted by operating the cable pulley system, as well as a seat for the user to sit on while operating the system. Furthermore, supports for the user's limbs when operating a cable pulley system on training devices are generally known.
[0004] A disadvantage of known training equipment is that the support surfaces and seats, as well as the supports, cannot be easily adapted to different training exercises, positions and / or different body sizes of training users.
[0005] The object of the invention is therefore to provide an improved training device that allows for easy adjustment of the support surface and the support to different training exercises and / or different body sizes of training users.
[0006] This task is solved by a training device with the features of claim 1.
[0007] Because the bench's support surface can be adjusted to at least two different heights, and the support can be aligned to at least two positions relative to the support surface, the support surface and support can be easily adapted to different training exercises and / or different user heights. Adjusting the bench's support surface to different heights allows for easy modification of its position relative to the surface on which the training device is placed. Furthermore, adjusting the bench's support surface to different heights allows for easy modification of its position relative to the cable system and the surface, thus providing optimal adjustability for various training exercises. The adjustable height of the bench's support surface also offers excellent adaptability for users of different heights. Furthermore, the support for the limbs of users sitting or lying on the bench can be adjusted to multiple positions relative to the support surface when the cable mechanism is activated. This allows for optimal support of the user's limbs during various exercises, positions, and regardless of height.
[0008] According to the invention, the bench has a parallelogram linkage on which the support surface can be moved to different height settings. Using the levers of such a parallelogram linkage, the support surface can be easily adjusted to different heights relative to the surface on which the training device is placed, as well as relative to the cable assembly, thus enabling easy adaptation of the training device to different training exercises and body sizes.
[0009] Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are set forth in the dependent claims. It should be noted that the features listed individually in the claims can also be combined with one another in any technologically meaningful way, thus revealing further embodiments of the invention.
[0010] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the support can be aligned in at least three positions relative to the support surface. This three-position design allows the training device to be adapted to a wide variety of exercises, which the user can perform using their own muscle power when operating the cable pulley system. This enables the weight lifted by the user via the cable pulley system to be easily moved using muscle power in various exercises. This adaptability allows for versatile training on the device, engaging numerous muscles.
[0011] A particularly preferred embodiment provides that the support is configured in at least one first orientation position to support the knees of the user sitting on the support surface when the cable pulley system is activated, and that the support is configured in at least one second orientation position to support the feet of the user sitting or lying on the support surface when the cable pulley system is activated. By supporting the knees of the user sitting on the support surface when the cable pulley system is activated, the user can, among other things, perform the classic lat pulldown as a training exercise on the training device. Supporting the feet of the user sitting on the support surface when the cable pulley system is activated allows the user to perform the classic rowing exercise on the training device.By supporting the user's feet while lying on the platform and operating the cable pulley system, a training exercise can also be performed on the machine in which the user pulls the handle attached to the cable pulley system at an approximately 45° angle to the spine towards their own chest. This engages different muscles than the classic lat pulldown or rowing exercise, or rather, the muscles also used in the classic lat pulldown and rowing exercises are engaged differently when pulling at a 45° angle to the spine towards the chest.
[0012] A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention relates to the support having a convexly curved support surface for the user's knees, wherein the support has a flatter footplate on the side opposite the convexly curved support surface for the user's feet. The curvature of the support surface provides comfortable support for the user's knees. Simultaneously, the side opposite the convexly curved support surface can be used to support the feet, as the flatter footplate provides a stable stance for the user's feet, for example, when performing classic rowing on a training machine. The support surface and the footplate are preferably made of the same material, which has both a damping / cushioning property and sufficient surface hardness to serve as a firmer footplate. This material preferably has a Shore A hardness of 60 for soft elastomers.
[0013] A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that, in at least one first orientation position, the convexly curved support surface faces the knee of the user sitting on the support surface when the cable pulley system is actuated, while in at least one second orientation position, the footplate faces the feet of the user sitting or lying on the support surface when the cable pulley system is actuated. By orienting the support into different orientation positions, both the convexly curved support surface and the flatter footplate can be positioned to support the user's feet or knees for various training exercises. For example, in the first orientation position, the user can support their knees on the convexly curved support surface for the classic lat pulldown.Whether seated for classic rowing or lying down for pulling at a 45° angle to the spine towards the chest, the user can comfortably use the footplate, which is aligned in other positions, to support their feet during training.
[0014] An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the bench's support surface is configured in at least one first height setting for the user to sit on the support surface when the cable pulley system is activated, and in at least one second height setting for the user to lie on the support surface when the cable pulley system is activated. This allows the support surface to be used for sitting during classic lat pulldowns, as well as for sitting during classic rowing exercises on the training device. Advantageously, the support surface is adjusted to the optimal height for the exercise by changing its height relative to the floor. Furthermore, the support surface can be optimally aligned with the cable pulley system, so that even lying pulldowns at a 45° angle to the spine towards the chest are possible on the training device.
[0015] An advantageous embodiment provides that the bench has a stand, the stand supporting the adjustable support surface (which can be moved by means of the parallelogram linkage) at two height settings, each of which forms the end stops of the parallelogram linkage. With the stand, which supports the bench at the end stops of the parallelogram linkage, a very simple adjustment of the height of the support surface relative to the ground on which the training device is placed and to the cable assembly can be achieved, ensuring that the bench safely supports the body weight of the user sitting or lying on the support surface.
[0016] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support can be aligned into several positions relative to the support surface by pivoting it. The pivoting movement of the support can be easily achieved via a pivot axis, allowing the support to be moved into multiple positions by pivoting about this axis. This repositioning by pivoting the support provides a simple way to adapt the training device to different exercises or different user sizes.
[0017] A particularly advantageous embodiment provides that the support can be adjusted incrementally relative to the support surface in at least three spaced-apart adjustment ranges, each with several alignment positions. This incremental adjustment within the at least three spaced-apart adjustment ranges allows for optimal adaptation of the training device to users of different body sizes. Furthermore, switching between the spaced-apart adjustment ranges enables the training device to be adapted to different training exercises. Thus, the support for limb stabilization can be optimally aligned for training on the device.
[0018] Further features, details, and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description and the drawings, which show exemplary embodiments of the invention. Corresponding objects or elements are provided with the same reference numerals in all figures. The figures show: Fig. 1 Training device according to the invention with support in first alignment position and support surface in first height setting, Fig. 2 Training device after relocating the rope suspension, Fig. 3. Side view of user at training device with support in first alignment position and contact surface in first height setting, Fig. 4 Training device with support in second alignment position and support surface in second height setting, Fig. 5 Side view of user at training device with support in second alignment position and support surface in second height setting, Fig. 6 Training device with support in third alignment position and support surface in second height setting, and Fig. 7 Side view of user at training device with support in third alignment position and support surface in second height setting.
[0019] In the Fig. Figure 1, designated by reference numeral 1, illustrates a training device according to the invention. The training device 1 has a cable pulley arrangement 2 for actuation by the muscle power of a training user 3 ( Fig. 3) This makes the training device 1 suitable, for example, for performing training exercises such as lat pulldowns, rowing, or other movements in which a cable 28, 28 is pulled by muscle power to lift a weight 5 above the generated pulling force. For handling by the user 3 ( Fig. 5) A handle 4 is attached to the cable pulley assembly 2, via which the cable pulley assembly 2 is operated to lift a weight 5. In the illustrated embodiment, the handle 4 is designed as a wide lat pulldown bar. However, for training on training device 1, a triceps / biceps curl bar, a narrow parallel grip, or even two handles can also be attached to the cable pulley assembly 2 as handle 4. In the exemplary embodiment, the liftable weight 5 advantageously consists of several individual weights 42 that can be combined with one another. This allows the mass of the liftable weight 5 to be adjusted to the needs of the user 3 by combining the individual weights 42 ( Fig. 7) can be adjusted. This allows the training device 1 to be easily adapted to different training exercises and / or different body sizes of training users 3 ( Fig. 3) adjust. The training device 1 is further characterized by the fact that the cable pulley arrangement 2 has a lockable cable storage unit 23. This cable storage unit 23 is adjustable to several locking positions 24, 25 ( Fig. 2) A rope suspension 27 is formed which can be moved relative to a deflection pulley 26. By moving the rope suspension 27 relative to the deflection pulley 26 between at least two locking positions 24, 25 ( Fig. 2) The cable 29 can be easily attached to or removed from the cable storage 23. This allows the cable pulley system 2 to be easily adapted to different training exercises and / or different body sizes of training users 3 ( Fig. 3) be adapted.
[0020] Opposite Fig. 1 is in Fig. 2 the rope suspension 27 is moved towards the deflection pulley 26 and locked in a new locking position 25. In the locking positions 24 ( Fig. 1), 25 the rope suspension 27 is locked, i.e. fixed, relative to the deflection pulley 26 of the rope storage unit 23. The change in the distance between the rope suspension 27 and the deflection pulley 26 of the rope storage unit 23, as in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2, the pull rope 29 is free from the rope storage unit 23. By reducing the distance between the rope suspension 27 and the pulley 26, pull rope 29 is taken from the rope storage unit 23. Conversely, if the distance between the rope suspension 27 and the pulley 26 of the rope storage unit 23 is reduced again, the rope storage unit 23 will accordingly take in pull rope 29 again, and the training device 1 can be returned to the position shown in Figure 2. Fig. The state shown in Figure 1 can be converted. The relocation of the rope suspension 27 therefore offers a simple adjustment option to lengthen or shorten the pull rope 28, 29 available for actuation. This allows, for example, the height of the handle 4 to be changed, as can be seen from the overview of Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 becomes apparent. The training device 1 can thus be optimally adjusted to different training exercises and / or different body sizes of training users 3 ( Fig. 3) be adjusted. The rope suspension 27 of the rope storage unit 23 is advantageously designed to be moved along a guide 30 towards the deflection pulley 26 of the rope storage unit 23 to release the haul rope 29. To receive the haul rope 29, the rope suspension 27 of the rope storage unit 23 can simply be moved again along the guide 30 away from the deflection pulley 26 of the rope storage unit 23. The length of the haul rope 28, 29 available for actuation is thus changed by moving the rope suspension 27 on the guide 30. As can be seen from the Fig. 1 and Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the guide 30 has several locking holes 31 in which the rope suspension 27 can be locked at several locking positions 24, 25. The locking holes 31, arranged one after the other along the guide 30, thus allow the length of the pull rope 28, 29 available for operation to be fixed by locking. The pull rope 29 is guided between the rope suspension 27 and the deflection pulley 26 in a frame 41 of the training device 1 and is thus protected in the rope storage 23. In the exemplary embodiment, the rope pull arrangement 2 is formed, among other things, by two pull ropes 28, 29, which are guided in a common double pulley 32. The first pull rope 28 is connected at one end 33 to the weight 5 and at the other end 35 to a fastening means 37 for attaching the handle 4.At the second end 35 of the first haul rope 28, a stopper 38 is also provided, which secures the first haul rope 28 in a retracted position at an upper stopper receptacle 39, as for example in . Fig. 5 can be seen. The first pull rope 28 is routed from the stopper receptacle 39 over a first pulley 43 ( Fig. 3) and a second pulley 44 ( Fig. 3) led to the double pulley 32 and from there via a third pulley 45 ( Fig. 3) and a fourth pulley 46 ( Fig. 3) deflected to the weight 5. The second pull rope 29 is connected at a first end 34 to the rope suspension 27. In the lower part of the frame 41, the second pull rope 29 is guided by two further pulleys 49, 50. At the second end 36 of the second pull rope 29 there is also a stopper 38 ( Fig. 7) provided, which holds the second pull rope 29 in a retracted position at a lower stopper receptacle 39 ( Fig. 8) ensures, for example in Fig. 5 can be seen. Also at the second end 36 ( Fig. 4) of the second pull rope 29 is a fastening device 37 ( Fig. 5) provided for attaching a handle 4. The handle 4 can be attached here, for example, to perform rowing exercises on the training device 1. The two pull ropes 28, 29 of the pulley assembly 2 are advantageously located in loops around the pulleys of the double pulley 32. This ensures that both pull ropes 28, 29 act on the double pulley 32, which therefore transmits the pulling forces generated when the pulley assembly 2 is operated. When the first pull rope 28 is operated by the user 3 ( Fig. 4) The first pull rope 28, guided over the double pulley 32, lifts the weight 5. The one between the lower stopper mount 39 ( Fig. 5) and the rope suspension 27, the second pull rope 29 holds the double pulley 32 in position. When the user 3 operates the second pull rope 29, the double pulley 32 is moved so that the first pull rope 28, located between the stopper receptacle 39 and the weight 5, lifts the weight 5. As can be seen from the Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2, when the pull rope 29 is released, the lockable rope storage 23 releases the first pull rope 28 between the stopper receptacle 39 and the stopper 38. The fastening device 37 with the attached handle 4 is thus moved to a handle position located below the retracted position, which in Fig. Figure 2 shows that by releasing the pull rope 28 between the stopper receptacle 39 and the stopper 38, the handle 4 attached to the first pull rope 28 can be lowered, allowing even users 3 of shorter stature to easily reach the handle 4 to operate the rope pull arrangement 2. This is achieved by simply lengthening the rope section between the stopper receptacle 39 and the stopper 38 by releasing pull rope 29 from the rope storage 23. Conversely, the first pull rope 28 can also be shortened by taking pull rope 29 into the rope storage 23 until the upper stopper receptacle 39, as shown in Figure 2, is lowered. Fig. Figure 1 shows that the first pull rope 28 secures the stopper 38 in the retracted position. As can be seen from the overview of the Fig. 1 and Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2, the double pulley 32 is guided parallel to a lifting axis 40 between the first pull rope 28 and the second pull rope 29. When the pulley system 2 is activated, the liftable weight 5 is raised against gravity by the muscle power of the user 3 exercising on the pulley system 2. The training device 1 also has a bench 6 with a support surface 7 for the user 3 to sit and / or lie on when the pulley system 2 is activated. Furthermore, the training device includes a support 8 for supporting limbs 9. Fig. 4), 10 ( Fig. 6) of the user sitting or lying on the support surface 7 3 ( Fig. 8) when operating the cable pull arrangement 2.
[0021] In the Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows the training device 1 with the support 8 in a first alignment position 13 and the support surface 7 in a first height setting 11. The support surface 7 of the bench 6 can advantageously be adjusted to two height settings 11, 12 ( Fig. 4) can be moved. In addition, support 8 can be moved to at least three alignment positions 13, 14 ( Fig. 5), 15 ( Fig. 7) Align it with the support surface 7. This allows the support surface 7 and the support 8 to be adjusted to different training exercises and / or different body sizes. The repositioning of the support surface 7 of the bench 6 to different height settings 11, 12 ( Fig. 4) allows the height of the support surface 7 relative to a substrate 47 ( Fig. 3), on which the training device 1 is placed. In addition, by relocating the support surface 7, the position of the support surface 7 relative to the cable assembly 2 can be easily changed in order to achieve optimal adaptation of the training device 1 for different training exercises. The limbs 9, 10 ( Fig. 3, Fig. 5, Fig. 7) of user 3, 9, 10 ( Fig. 3, Fig. 5, Fig. 7) can be optimally supported during different training exercises and also for users of different body sizes 3, since the support 8 can also be adjusted to several alignment positions 13, 14 ( Fig. 5), 15 ( Fig. 7) can be aligned with respect to the support surface 7.
[0022] The Fig. Figure 3 shows the training device 1 with the support 8 in the first alignment position 13 and the support surface 7 in the first height setting 11. In this first alignment position 13, the support 8 serves to support the knees 9 of the user 3 sitting on the support surface 7 when the cable pulley assembly 2 is actuated. For this purpose, the support 8 has a convexly curved support surface 16 for the knees 9 of the user 3. The convexly curved support surface 16 is in the Fig. In the first alignment position 13 shown, the user 3, sitting on the support surface 7, is facing the knee 9 when the cable pulley arrangement 2 is actuated. The support surface 7 of the bench 6 is positioned here in the first height setting 11, so that the user 3 can sit comfortably on the support surface 7, as shown here. Fig. Figure 3 shows that the selected first alignment position 13 of the support 8 and the first height setting 11 make the training device 1 particularly suitable for performing training exercises such as lat pulldowns. For this purpose, the first pull rope 28 is attached to the fixed handle 4 ( Fig. 1) pulled downwards by the user towards the chest. In this process, the user 3 trains, in particular, the latissimus dorsi, the lower fibers of the trapezius, the rhomboid major and minor, and the teres major on the training device 1. The first pull rope 28, which has a weight 5 attached to its first end 33 and fastening means 37 for attaching a handle 4 to its second end 35 ( Fig. 2) is connected, transmits the user's input 3 at handle 4 ( Fig. 2) The force exerted on the weight 5 during the training exercise is such that pulling the first pull rope 28 directly leads to the weight 5 being lifted. The pulling force on the first pull rope 28 is redirected at the double pulley 32. The second pull rope 29 holds the double pulley 32 in position.
[0023] In Fig. Figure 4 shows the training device 1 with the support 8 in the second alignment position 14 and the support surface 7 in a second height setting 12. The bench 6 has a parallelogram guide 18, on which the support surface 7 is positioned between the supports in the Fig. 1 to 3 first height settings shown 11 ( Fig. 2) into the in Fig. The second height setting 12 shown in Figure 4 is adjustable. The parallelogram linkage 18 is classically formed by two pairs of levers between the frame 41 and the support surface 7. Advantageously, a stand 19 is provided on the bench 6, wherein the stand 19 supports the support surface 7, which can be adjusted by means of the parallelogram linkage 18, in the two height settings 11 ( Fig. 2), 12 supports. The two height settings 11 ( Fig. 2), 12 each form end stops of the parallelogram guide 18. Thus, the stand 19 is supported in the first, upper height setting 11 ( Fig. 2) on the frame 41, while the stand 19 is in the second, lower height setting 12 on the base 47 ( Fig. 5) supports.
[0024] The Fig. Figure 5 shows a side view of the training device 1 according to Fig. 4. In the second alignment position 14, the support 8 serves to support the feet 10 of the user 3 sitting on the support surface 7 when the cable pulley arrangement 2 is actuated. For this purpose, the support 8 points on one of the convexly curved support surfaces 16 ( Fig. 3) a flatter stepping surface on the opposite side 17 ( Fig. 4) for the feet 10 of the user 3 on. This tread surface 17 ( Fig. 4) In the second alignment position 14, the support 8 is oriented towards the feet 10 of the user 3 sitting on the support surface 7 when the cable pulley assembly 2 is actuated. The second alignment position 14 of the support 8 selected here and the second height setting 12 make the training device 1 particularly suitable for performing training exercises such as classic rowing. For this purpose, the second pull cable 29 is attached to a fixed handle 4 ( Fig. 1) is pulled back towards the chest by the user 3. This particularly trains the latissimus dorsi, the posterior part of the deltoid, the trapezius, the rhomboid major and minor, and the infraspinatus. The second pull rope 29 is attached at its first end 34 for this purpose ( Fig. 4) connected to the rope suspension 27 and at its second end 36 ( Fig. 4) with fasteners 37 for attaching the handle 4 ( Fig. 1) The handle 4 attached here ( Fig. 2) can therefore be used to exert force by a user 3 of the training device 1 during classic rowing.
[0025] In Fig. Figure 6 shows the training device 1 with the support 8 in the third alignment position 15 and the support surface 7 in the second height setting 12. In the third alignment position 15, the support 8 serves to support the feet 10 ( Fig. 7) of the user lying on the support surface 7 3 ( Fig. 7) when operating the cable pull arrangement 2. For this purpose, the flatter footplate 17 ( Fig. 4) for the feet 10 of the user 3 ( Fig. 7) in the third alignment position 15 the feet 10 ( Fig. 7) facing the user 3 lying on the support surface 7 when the cable pull arrangement 2 is actuated.
[0026] The Fig. Figure 7 shows a side view of the training device 1 according to Fig. 6. The third alignment position 15 of the support 8 selected here and the second height setting 12 make the training device 1 particularly suitable for, for example, using the handle 4 during training exercises ( Fig. 2) Lying at an angle of approximately 45° to the spine, pull towards your own chest. Here, the first pull rope 28 is attached to a fixed handle 4 ( Fig. 2) pulled back towards the chest by user 3. This trains numerous other muscles, as in the classic lat pulldown ( Fig. 3) or in classic rowing ( Fig. 5) Muscles that are also trained are used differently to offer a versatile workout on training device 1. This also applies to the following: Fig. The exercise shown in section 7 is performed by the user 3 on the handle 4 ( Fig. 1) The applied force is transferred to the second pull rope 29, which transfers the force to the double pulley 32, causing the double pulley 32 to pull on the first pull rope 28, resulting in an indirect lifting of the weight 5 by the user 3. The stoppers 38 at the second ends 35, 36 of the pull ropes 28, 29 ensure that the pull rope 28, 29, which is not attached to the handle 4 by the user 3 ( Fig. 1) is actuated directly and is fixed in a retracted position at each stopper receptacle 39. Especially in Fig. 7 it is clearly visible that the support 8 is pivoted into the alignment positions 13 ( Fig. 3), 14 ( Fig. 5), 15 can be aligned relative to the support surface 7. The support 8 can be pivoted relative to the frame 41 on a locking disc 48 for this purpose. Several adjustment ranges 20 are available on the locking disc 48 ( Fig. 3), 21 ( Fig. 7), 22 ( Fig. 5) formed. These adjustment ranges 20, 21, 22 each have several alignment positions 13, 14, 15 to align the support 8 stepwise relative to the bearing surface 7. Reference symbol list 1 training device 2.
