Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for a backpack for hanging laundry items, as well as to a backpack designed to accommodate such a device. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an arrangement comprising such a device and such a backpack.
[0002] Those skilled in the art are familiar with a wide variety of devices for drying laundry. Such devices are also known to those skilled in the art as clothes racks or drying racks.
[0003] Such clothes racks are typically used to hang damp laundry to dry. Clothes racks are often set up in bathrooms, on patios, or balconies, among other places. When not in use, they can be folded up and stored in a small space. This makes them particularly suitable for apartments with limited space.
[0004] There are also freestanding clothes dryers on a frame that can be placed on the floor. They have swing-out side panels on which laundry can be hung. The panels feature crossbars surrounded by a frame, on which the laundry can be hung. While the frame provides considerable stability, hanging the clothes can be difficult, especially when larger items have to be lifted high and then threaded between the crossbars. After threading, clips are usually placed to secure the laundry.
[0005] For example, DE 84 21 274 U1 discloses a laundry rack that can be mounted on a wall and features several support rods arranged on a pivoting support arm. The support rods are designed to hang freely, making it easier to thread laundry through. However, the wall rack only has a small surface area for hanging laundry, and due to the resulting leverage, the support rods and support arm are relatively short. Furthermore, the laundry rack cannot be easily removed from the wall, which is why it can only be used in a few rooms without causing a disturbance.
[0006] What all of these state-of-the-art clothes racks have in common is that they have to be placed on floor level or attached to a supporting wall to dry the laundry, and are therefore cumbersome to handle while the laundry is drying and cannot be carried comfortably.
[0007] However, especially recently, outdoor sports have enjoyed increasing popularity. Multi-day hikes, or even week-long tours on foot or by bike with a backpack on your back in the great outdoors, are not uncommon. Due to the limited space and weight in the backpack normally carried in these areas, it's impossible to carry a large change of clothes. Instead, the clothes worn during the day must be washed in the evening and, possibly still damp, packed the next day in the backpack you carried during the hike, or inconveniently attached to the outside of the backpack.
[0008] This is where the present invention comes in, the object of which is to provide a device for a backpack for hanging laundry items, which overcomes the disadvantages of the clothes racks known from the prior art and is also structurally simple, robust and easy to handle.
[0009] Furthermore, from the document CN 2 04 580 275 U a device for a backpack for hanging laundry items according to the preamble of patent claim 1 has become known.

[0036] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments and the figures. They show: Fig. 1 a simplified perspective view of a backpack with a device according to the invention for hanging laundry items, Fig. 2 shows a simplified front view of an exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention for hanging laundry items, and Fig. 3 in simplified side view the device according to the invention according to Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 in simplified side view the longitudinal beam from Fig. 3.
[0037] Identical reference numerals are used in the figures for identical or equivalently functioning elements of the invention. Furthermore, for the sake of clarity, only those reference numerals are shown in the individual figures that are necessary for the description of the respective figure. Furthermore, the invention is shown in the figures only as a schematic view to explain its operation. In particular, the representations in the figures serve only to explain the basic principle of the invention. For reasons of clarity, all components of the device have been omitted.
[0038] The backpack, generally designated 100 in the figures, is equipped with two shoulder straps 102 attached to a rear wall 101 formed as the rear side RS, which are adjustable in length and height to accommodate backpack wearers of different anatomical sizes. For this purpose, the shoulder straps 102 each have a slider element 103 by means of which the shoulder straps 102 can be held in a stationary position at different lengths. Thus, the lengths of the two shoulder straps 102 are adjustable. For example, it can also be provided that the shoulder straps 102 can be detachably connected via a buckle system in the chest area of the backpack wearer. It can also be provided that the buckle system is adjustable in length to accommodate different anatomies of the backpack wearer.
[0039] In addition to the shoulder straps 102, the backpack 100 can also have a lap belt system or hip belt system on its rear wall 101, which is not shown in detail and which can also be adjustable.
[0040] Furthermore, the backpack 100 has at least one bag-shaped storage compartment 104 on a front side VS opposite the rear side RS, which is accessible via at least one closable access opening 105. It can also be provided that the storage compartment 104 is divided into several subcompartments, which can be connected to one another, for example, by means of a zipper, or separated from one another. Each of the subcompartments can also be assigned its own closable access opening 105.
[0041] Numerous modifications of the backpack 100 are also possible, which, for reasons of clarity, are neither illustrated nor described in detail in the figures. However, the backpack 100 is essentially designed or configured for arranging or receiving the device 1 according to the invention for hanging laundry items.
[0042] This device 1 according to the invention for the backpack 100 for hanging laundry items has for this purpose at least one frame 2 with two longitudinal bars 3, 3' running essentially parallel to one another and a support bar 6, 6' projecting at an angle from the corresponding longitudinal bar 3, 3'.
[0043] At least one laundry carrier element 7 is provided between the support beams 6, 6', connecting the support beams 6, 6'. Preferably, several laundry carrier elements 7 are provided between the support beams 6, 6'.
[0044] Here, the longitudinal beams 3, 3' each have a fastening section 4, 4' and a connecting section 5, 5', wherein the respective fastening section 4, 4' is designed for releasably fastening the longitudinal beams 3, 3' of the frame 2 to the backpack 100 and the support beams 6, 6' are releasably but firmly arranged on the respective connecting section 5, 5'.
[0045] At least the longitudinal beams 3, 3' can be tubular. Advantageously, the longitudinal beams 3, 3' are hollow tubes made, for example, of aluminum or carbon. Alternatively, the longitudinal beams 3, 3' can also be made of iron.
[0046] In an advantageous embodiment, the longitudinal beams 3, 3' are formed in one piece, in particular in one piece, and each have the fastening section 4, 4' and the connecting section 5, 5'.
[0047] Advantageously, the two longitudinal beams 3, 3' are designed identically to one another. In the illustrated embodiment, the two longitudinal beams 3, 3' each have a central axis MA, MA', along which the longitudinal beams 3, 3' advantageously extend as hollow tubes in their longitudinal direction. The respective central axes MA, MA' for the longitudinal beams 3, 3' each span a plane E, E'. The planes E and E' are advantageously oriented parallel or approximately parallel.
[0048] The longitudinal beams 3, 3' of the device 1 have a length L along their longitudinal extent, and the laundry carrier elements 7 have a width B along their longitudinal extent, which can each be adjustable.
[0049] It can be provided that the longitudinal beams 3, 3' are formed in two parts along the central axis MA, MA' and can be connected securely but detachably via a quick-connect device. In particular, it can be provided that a different length L can be achieved via fastening sections 4, 4' of the longitudinal beams 3, 3' that are designed to be of different lengths. In other words, the fastening sections 4, 4' of the longitudinal beams 3, 3' can be designed to be interchangeable.
[0050] Alternatively or cumulatively, the longitudinal beams 3, 3' can also be designed as telescopic rods, which allow adjustment in different lengths L. The longitudinal beams 3, 3' can be fixed mechanically, but detachably, in the different lengths L. The adjustability along the length L is in Fig.4 is indicated by a double arrow. Thus, the device 1 according to the invention can be adapted to different backpack sizes or to the laundry items to be arranged thereon.
[0051] The longitudinal beams 3, 3' have a first free end 3.1 and a second free end 3.2 opposite the first free end 3.1, wherein the respective fastening section 4, 4' is provided at the first free end 3.1 and the connecting sections 5, 5' for arranging the support beams 6, 6' are provided at the second free end 3.2.
[0052] For example, the fastening section 4, 4' can have a receiving device (not shown in detail), for example an eyelet or a loop, by means of which the fastening section 4, 4' can be detachably connected to the backpack 100.
[0053] The longitudinal bars 3, 3' can also have a rubber coating surrounding the first free end 3.1 in the region of their respective fastening sections 4, 4', so that the longitudinal bars 3, 3' can be inserted, for example, into a side pocket 106 of the backpack 100 without the sharp edges of the first free end 3.1 of the respective longitudinal bar 3, 3' damaging the side pocket 106 of the backpack 100. The rubber coating also requires an intentionally increased amount of force to pull the longitudinal bars 3, 3' out of the side pocket 106 of the backpack 100, which ensures a more stable arrangement of the device 1 on the backpack 100.
[0054] Furthermore, the first free ends 3.1 of the longitudinal beams 3, 3' can also be rounded.
[0055] As already mentioned, the connecting section 5, 5' for arranging the support beams 6, 6' on the longitudinal beams 3, 3' is located at the respective second free end 3.2. For example, the respective connecting section 5, 5' can be fixedly arranged on the corresponding longitudinal beam 3, 3', in particular soldered, welded, glued, or screwed.
[0056] In more detail, the respective connecting section 5, 5' is adapted in its external geometry to the internal geometry of the support beams 6, 6' in such a way that the support beams 6, 6' can be pushed onto the respective connecting section 5, 5'. The support beams 6, 6' are arranged fixedly but detachably on the respective connecting section 5, 5'. For example, the support beams 6, 6' can be held removably but firmly in place on the corresponding connecting section 5, 5' in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner. For example, a screw connection 12 can additionally be provided here that detachably connects the respective support beam 6, 6' to the corresponding connecting section 5, 5'.
[0057] The longitudinal extension of the corresponding connecting section 5, 5' runs at an angle to the central axis MA, MA' of the longitudinal beams 3, 3'. The longitudinal extension of the connecting section 5, 5' can run at an angle α to the central axis MA, MA' of the longitudinal beams 3, 3' between 90° and 160°, particularly advantageously at an angle α of approximately 100° to approximately 130°. Furthermore, both the connecting sections 5, 5' and the support beams 6, 6' lie with their respective longitudinal extensions in the associated planes E, E'.
[0058] Advantageously, the connecting sections 5, 5' are designed as hollow profiles with, for example, a cuboid-shaped outer geometry. In particular, the connecting sections 5, 5' are made of aluminum or carbon. Alternatively, the connecting sections 5, 5' can also be made of iron. The support beams 6, 6' can also be designed as hollow profiles with, for example, a cuboid-shaped outer geometry.
[0059] For this purpose, the plurality of laundry support elements 7 extend between the support beams 6, 6', which preferably lie in the corresponding plane E, E', preferably at a perpendicular angle to the plane E, E'. The laundry support elements 7 can be rod-shaped. According to an advantageous embodiment, the laundry support elements 7 are designed as hollow tubes. Alternatively, the laundry support elements 7 can also be made of solid material. In particular, the laundry support elements 7 are made of aluminum or carbon. Alternatively, the laundry support elements 7 can also be made of iron.
[0060] The rod-shaped laundry support elements 7 connect the support beams 6, 6' and, for this purpose, are guided, for example, with their respective free ends, through an opening 8 provided in the support beams 6, 6'—preferably projecting at both ends. Preferably, the support beams 6, 6' each have a mutually facing inner side IS and a mutually facing outer side AS.
[0061] The rod-shaped laundry carrier elements 7 can each have a thread 9 at their respective free ends in the area of the outer sides of the support beams 6, 6', onto which a wing nut 10 can be screwed. The laundry carrier elements 7 protrude with their free-end threads 9 beyond the outer side AS defined by the two support beams 6, 6' by a few centimeters, for example between 2 cm and 6 cm. A mechanical stop 11 can also be provided on the inner side IS of the support beams 6, 6' on the respective laundry carrier element 7, facing away from the respective thread 9.
[0062] Alternatively or additionally, the laundry carrier elements 7 can also be designed as telescopic rods, which allow adjustment to different widths B. The laundry carrier elements 7 can be mechanically fixed firmly, yet releasably, in the different widths B. Thus, an adaptation of the device 1 according to the invention to different backpack sizes or to the laundry items to be arranged thereon is possible.
[0063] Advantageously, the device 1 comprises a plurality of, in particular 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 rod-shaped laundry carrier elements 7, which run in particular parallel or approximately parallel to one another in their respective longitudinal extent.
[0064] To arrange the device 1 on the backpack 100, a side pocket 106 can be provided on each of the side surfaces SF connecting the front VS to the rear RS, in which pocket the device 1 can be accommodated, in particular with the fastening section 4, 4' of the two longitudinal bars 3, 3'. Furthermore, the backpack 100 can have additional length-adjustable buckles 107 on the side surfaces SF, to which the fastening sections 4, 4' of the two longitudinal bars 3, 3' can also be lashed. The buckles 107 already provided on the side surfaces SF of the backpacks 100, for example for hiking poles, can be used particularly advantageously for this purpose.
[0065] The invention has been described above using exemplary embodiments. It is understood that numerous changes and modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the invention.
