Description

[0001] The invention relates to scissors with two scissor parts which can be pivoted relative to one another about a common pivot axis, wherein each scissor part has a front scissor blade and a rear handle limb connected to the scissor blade, which are spaced from one another via the pivot axis, and wherein each scissor blade has a cutting edge running in the longitudinal direction of the scissor blade and a scissor back opposite the cutting edge, and wherein finger loops are formed on the free ends of the handle limbs, and the two handle limbs are each connected to the respectively associated scissor blade via a curved web such that when the scissor blades are in a vertical position, a vertical gripping plane formed by the central longitudinal axes of the handle limbs and a cutting plane formed by the scissor blades intersect.

[0002] On most scissors, especially household scissors, the handles are designed as straight extensions of the blades. These scissors have proven themselves in practice in a variety of designs, but it is difficult to apply pressure to the blades and the cutting edges using a handle positioned at the back. Furthermore, the gripping position is tiring during prolonged use due to the wrist bend.

[0003] A pair of scissors of this type is known from DE 39 16 123 A1. The finger loops at the ends of the handles of this known pair of scissors are arranged, with the blades closed, such that one finger loop is positioned above a central longitudinal axis running through the blades, and the other is positioned below this central longitudinal axis running through the blades.

[0004] US 5 893 303 A discloses fastening pliers whose handles are designed to be offset relative to the two gripping jaws of the pliers in such a way that, when the gripping jaws are closed and the gripping jaws are in a vertical position, the handles are arranged either to the right or to the left of a central longitudinal axis running through the gripping jaws.

[0005] DE 88 01 248 U1 discloses scissors whose end finger loops of the handle shanks are arranged at a right angle to the respective associated handle shanks on the handle shanks so that when the scissor blades are closed and in a vertical position of the scissor blades, one finger loop is always arranged above and the other finger loop below a central longitudinal axis running through the scissor blades.

[0006] US 3 383 962 A discloses a ratchet wrench with a handle part angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the front part of the ratchet wrench.

[0007] Furthermore, JP S62 130 570 U discloses a pair of scissors in which the handle shanks are each connected to the corresponding cutting blades via a double-angled bar, such that the handle shanks are arranged parallel to the scissors blades and laterally offset. This offset arrangement of the handle shanks relative to the scissors blades allows for a good view of the cut being made, but the gripping position is no different from that of conventional scissors.

[0008] Based on this, the object of the invention is to create a pair of scissors with which, despite their simple construction, it is possible to carry out a controlled cut with a relaxed grip.

[0009] The solution to this problem is characterized according to the invention in that the gripping plane is additionally aligned rotated about the central longitudinal axes of the gripping limbs relative to the cutting plane and in that the webs via which the two gripping limbs are connected to the respective associated scissor blades are curved in such a way that the end finger loops of the gripping limbs are arranged either above or below a central longitudinal axis running through the scissor blades when the scissor blades are closed and the scissor blades are in a vertical position.

[0010] The double angling of the gripping plane relative to the cutting plane of the blades enables the user to grip the handles of the scissors designed according to the invention in a fatigue-free and ergonomically correct manner without forcing an unnatural bending of the wrist, as is necessary with the known scissors.

[0011] The double lateral offset of the handle plane to the cutting plane of the blades also provides a clear view of the cut to be made by the blades.

[0012] By positioning the handle either above or below the scissors blades, it is easy to exert the necessary pressure on the scissors blades and thus the cutting edges when cutting.

[0013] A practical embodiment of the invention proposes that the handle plane intersects the cutting plane of the cutting edge at an obtuse angle in order to enable the most ergonomic position of the handle limbs.

[0014] To enable the user of the scissors to grip and hold the scissors ergonomically and without fatigue, the invention further proposes that the rotation of the gripping plane around the central axes of the handle limbs be designed differently for each handle limb or each finger loop formed on the respective handle limb. This different rotation of the gripping planes of the individual handle limbs or finger loops also allows the scissors to be individually adapted to the individual anatomy of the scissors user.

[0015] Depending on the choice of lateral offset of the handle plane or the handle shanks either to the right or left of the cutting plane of the blades, it is possible to create individual scissors for right-handed and left-handed people.

[0016] To form the curved webs, via which the handle limbs are connected to the respective associated scissor blades, the invention further proposes that the curved webs are either designed as one piece with the scissor blades or are designed as separate components that can be fixed to the scissor blades.

[0017] Finally, the invention proposes that the handling of the scissors can be made easier and improved for the user in that grip recesses for individual fingers of the user are formed on at least one finger loop of a handle limb.

[0018] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the accompanying drawings, in which an embodiment of a pair of scissors according to the invention is shown only by way of example, without limiting the invention to this embodiment. The drawings show: Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective top view of scissors according to the invention; Fig. 2 a schematic representation of the cutting plane and the gripping plane of the scissors according to Fig. 1 in plan view and Fig. 3 a schematic representation of the cutting plane and the gripping plane of the scissors according to Fig. 1 in a rear view.

[0019] The illustration Fig. 1 shows a pair of scissors 1 with two scissor parts 2 and 3, which can be pivoted relative to one another about a common pivot axis 4. Each scissor part 2, 3 has a front scissor blade 5 and a rear handle limb 6 connected to the scissor blade 5, which are spaced from one another via the pivot axis 4. Furthermore, each scissor blade 5 has a cutting edge 7 running in the longitudinal direction of the scissor blade 5 and a scissor back 8 opposite the cutting edge 7. For easy and safe guiding and handling of the scissors 1, finger loops 9 are formed on the free ends of the handle limbs 6.

[0020] At the Fig. In the scissors 1 shown in Figure 1, the handle limbs 6 are each connected via a curved web 10 formed integrally with the respective scissor blades 5.

[0021] Alternatively, however, it is also possible to design the curved webs 10 as separate components that can be fixed to the scissor blades 5.

[0022] As shown in the figure Fig. 1, the webs 10 are designed such that the handle legs 6 and in particular the finger loops 9 formed at the free ends of the handle legs 6 are arranged above or below a central longitudinal axis 11 running through the scissor blades 5 when the scissor blades 5 are closed, depending on the position of the scissors 1.

[0023] By arranging the handle legs 5 above or below the central longitudinal axis 11 running through the scissor blades 5, it is easier to exert the required pressure force on the scissor blades 5 and thus the cutting edges 7 when cutting than is the case with conventional scissors in which the handle legs 6 form the straight extension of the scissor blades 5.

[0024] In order to enable the user of the scissors 1 to grip the handle shanks 6 or the finger loops 9 formed on the handle shanks 6 in a fatigue-free and ergonomic manner, the handle shanks 6 are arranged in relation to the scissor blades 5 in such a way that, when the scissor blades 5 are in a vertical position, a vertical gripping plane G formed by the central longitudinal axes 12 of the handle shanks 6 and a cutting plane S formed by the scissor blades 5 intersect at an obtuse angle and the gripping plane G is additionally aligned with the cutting plane S rotated about the central longitudinal axes 12 of the handle shanks 6, as can be seen in particular from the figures Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 can be seen.

[0025] The double angulation of the gripping plane G relative to the cutting plane S of the cutting edges 7 of the scissor blades 5 enables the user to grip the handles 6 of the scissors 1 in a fatigue-free and ergonomic manner without forcing an unnatural bending of the wrist, as is necessary with the known scissors.

[0026] The lateral offset of the grip plane G to the cutting plane S of the cutting edges 7 also provides the user of the scissors 1 with a clear view of the cut to be made by the cutting edges 7 at all times.

[0027] Due to the clear view of the cutting edges 7 and the cut to be made by the cutting edges 7 due to the lateral offset of the handle limbs 6 relative to the scissor blades 5, the risk of injury is also reduced, so that scissors 1 designed in this way can also be handled safely by children and physically impaired people.

[0028] Depending on the choice of the lateral offset of the gripping plane G or the gripping limbs 6 either to the right or left to the cutting plane S of the cutting edges 7 of the scissor blades 5, it is possible to design individual scissors 1 for right-handed and left-handed people.

[0029] In order to be able to adapt the scissors 1 to the individual needs and wishes of the user, the grip plane G can be arranged at an angle α to the cutting plane S of the cutting edges 7 on the scissor blades 5.

[0030] It is also possible to individually adapt the pivot angle β, by which the grip plane G is pivoted around the central longitudinal axis 12 of the grip limbs 6, to the user's needs. This means that the pivot angle β for the rotation of the grip plane G around the central axes 12 of the grip limbs 6 can be designed differently for each grip limb 6 or for each finger loop 9 formed on the respective grip limb 6.

[0031] The handling of the scissors 1 can be made easier and improved for the user by forming grip recesses 13 for individual fingers of the user on at least one finger loop 9 of a handle limb 5.

[0032] A pair of scissors 1 designed as described above is characterized by the fact that it enables a controlled cut to be made with a relaxed grip.
