Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a component assembly according to the features of the preamble of claim 1 and a method for its production.
[0002] CN 102916147 A describes a pressure compensation device for compensating an internal pressure in a housing of an electrochemical device, comprising at least one gas passage opening and at least one membrane element with a gas-permeable membrane that can be deformed depending on a change in the internal pressure and that blocks the gas passage opening. The pressure compensation device comprises an emergency degassing element that is designed and arranged such that, upon reaching a critical deformation of the membrane, it damages the membrane in such a way that the membrane opens the gas passage opening for emergency degassing of the housing.
[0003] The invention is based on the object of specifying a component composite that is improved compared to the prior art and a method for its production that is improved compared to the prior art.
[0004] The object is achieved according to the invention by a component assembly having the features of claim 1 and a method for its production having the features of claim 8.
[0005] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.
[0006] A component assembly comprises a first component, a second component and a plurality of screw connection arrangements by means of which the second component is fastened to the first component.
[0007] According to the invention, the respective screw connection arrangement has the following: - a first screw element attached to the first component, - a first seal completely enclosing the first screw element on the circumference between the first component and the second component, - a connecting opening in the second component, - a bushing which is fixed in the connection opening in a rotationally fixed manner and which projects through the connection opening on both sides of the second component and rests with a respective angled collar formation on the respective side of the second component, wherein the collar formation of the bushing facing the first component rests on a support formation of the first screw element, - a second screw element screwed to the first screw element, the bushing being arranged between the two screw elements, and - a second seal between the second screw element and the collar formation of the bushing facing away from the first component.
[0008] Since, in the described solution, all components of the screw connection arrangements are located on the side of the first component facing the second component, this solution makes it possible to fasten the second component to the first component by means of the screw connection arrangements and also to detach it from the first component again without requiring access to the side of the first component facing away from the second component.
[0009] The sealing concept implemented using the seals permanently protects the screw connection arrangements, in particular the fastenings of the first screw elements to the first component, from environmental influences, especially from contact with water, and thus permanently from corrosion. Furthermore, the described solution, in particular the described design of the bushings and their rotationally fixed arrangement in the second component, prevents stress on the connection between the first screw elements and the first component during screwing. Such stress could, for example, lead to stress cracks in the connection and thus to leaks in the first component. Since the bushings rest on the support formations of the first screw elements, a predetermined distance between the two components is ensured, thereby achieving a predetermined, uniform compression of the first seals. The bushings and their collar formations also prevent loads on the second component caused by the screw connections, since forces from the screw connections only act on the bushings and are transmitted by them, but do not act on the second component.
[0010] The component assembly is designed in particular as a housing unit for a battery, for example for a drive battery of a vehicle. The first component is a battery housing, wherein at least one housing wall of the battery housing has at least one housing-side pressure equalization opening, wherein the first screw element of the respective screw connection arrangement is fastened to an outer side of this housing wall. The second component is a pressure equalization device which is arranged on the outer side of the housing wall at the housing-side pressure equalization opening and has a base body with a device-side pressure equalization opening closed by a bursting disc, which is in connection, in particular fluidic, with the housing-side pressure equalization opening, wherein the connection opening of the respective screw connection arrangement is formed in this base body.In particular, it is provided that the base body is formed as an injection-molded plastic part, with the respective bushing being injected into the base body, i.e., being peripherally overmolded by the base body, in particular by its plastic material. This simultaneously forms the respective connection opening and the bushing is connected to the base body in a rotationally fixed manner. By means of the screw connection arrangements, the base body of the pressure compensation device is thus fastened, in particular, to the outside of the housing wall of the battery housing.
[0011] The first seals of the screw connection arrangements are, in particular, components of a sealing element that is arranged between the base body of the pressure compensation device and the housing wall of the battery housing and that completely encloses the housing-side pressure compensation opening and the device-side pressure compensation opening. This allows the plurality of first seals to be arranged in a particularly simple manner, for example, on the second component, i.e., on the base body of the pressure compensation device, and to be arranged together with the pressure compensation device on the first component, i.e., on the housing wall of the battery housing.
[0012] In particular, it is intended that the first screw element be welded to the first component. Especially for such welded joints, the corrosion protection and protection against stress during tightening, which is achieved with the described solution, are particularly important.
[0013] In particular, it is provided that the first screw element is a threaded bolt and the second screw element is a screw nut. If the threaded bolt is or will be welded to the first component or is intended to be welded to the first component, it is also referred to as a welding stud.
[0014] In particular, it is provided that the second screw element, designed as a screw nut, has a receiving recess on a side facing away from the bushing, in which a third seal is arranged that completely surrounds the first screw element on its circumference and sealingly contacts the first screw element and the second screw element. This prevents moisture from penetrating via a thread of the threaded bolt and a thread of the screw nut.
[0015] To further ensure this sealing, it is provided in particular that the threads of the second screw element designed as a screw nut have a coating, in particular a sealing coating.
[0016] In a method for producing the component assembly, the invention provides that the first screw elements, in particular the threaded bolts, are fastened to the first component, in particular by welding. Furthermore, it is provided that the connection openings are formed in the second component and the bushings are fastened therein, in particular by the base body of the pressure compensation device designed as a second component being formed by injection molding and the bushings being injected into the base body, i.e. being circumferentially overmolded by the material of the base body. Furthermore, it is provided that the first seals are arranged between the components and the components are arranged on one another, in particular by the sealing element having these first seals beingon the base body of the pressure compensation device, and the base body of the pressure compensation device is then pushed onto the first screw elements designed as threaded bolts on the housing wall of the first component designed as a battery housing. Furthermore, it is provided that the second screw elements are screwed to the first screw elements, wherein the second seals are arranged between the second screw elements and the collar formations of the bushings facing away from the first component. This is done in particular by the second seals being fastened to the second screw elements designed as screw nuts before screwing on and then these second screw elements are screwed onto the first screw elements designed as threaded bolts. The second screw elements are screwed tight in particular with a predetermined torque so that tearing off of the first screw elements is avoided.
[0017] It is particularly provided that the respective third seal is arranged in the receiving recess of the respective second screw element. This takes place in particular before screwing onto the respective first screw element. The respective third seal is arranged in particular in the receiving recess of the respective second screw element in such a way that it is fastened to the second screw element, in particular is held in the receiving recess and in particular is connected to the second screw element in a rotationally fixed manner. This is achieved, for example, by a flange on the receiving recess, which is produced, for example, after the third seal has been arranged in the receiving recess or which is already present beforehand, the third seal then being deformed, for example, in order to insert it past the flange into the receiving recess.
[0018] By means of the described solution, in particular the second component designed as a pressure compensation device can be screwed from the outside onto the first component designed as a battery housing and can also be removed again without great effort, for example in the case of servicing, without having to open the battery housing.
[0019] The described sealing concept, in particular with the first, second, and third seals, and advantageously with the coating of the threads of the second screw element designed as a nut, permanently protects the fastening points, especially the welds of the screw elements designed as threaded bolts, from corrosion. Likewise, as already described, the weld seam cannot be stressed during screwing, which could otherwise lead to stress cracks and resulting leaks in the battery housing.
[0020] The described solution is particularly advantageous for high-voltage batteries, i.e., traction batteries, for battery-electric vehicles, as these are used in diverse climatic and weather conditions. This repeatedly leads to corrosion at housing penetrations, which in the prior art are provided, for example, for fastening the pressure equalization device using screws through the housing wall. Seals at such housing penetrations can be undermined, and water can penetrate the battery. This can, for example, cause a short circuit or lead to battery failure due to corrosion. Furthermore, in the prior art, the battery housing must be opened to unscrew the pressure equalization device for replacement.
[0021] These disadvantages are avoided by the described solution, as it eliminates the need for any penetrations in the housing to attach the pressure equalization device to the battery housing. The described solution, in particular the described fastening and sealing concept, thus enables easy replacement of the pressure equalization device while simultaneously providing a robust and durable, corrosion-protected attachment to the high-voltage battery.
[0022] In summary, the described solution enables easy attachment of the pressure compensation device, is service-friendly, corrosion-protected and enables easy leak testing.

[0025] Corresponding parts are provided with the same reference numerals in all figures.
[0026] Based on the Fig. 1 to 9, a component assembly 1 comprising a first component B1, a second component B2 and a plurality of screw connection arrangements 2, by means of which the second component B2 is fastened to the first component B1, and a method for producing the component assembly 1 are described below.
[0027] In the illustrated embodiment, the component assembly 1 is designed as a housing unit for a battery of a vehicle, in particular for a high-voltage battery, ie drive battery, of an electric vehicle, and is therefore also referred to below as housing unit 1.
[0028] The first component B1 in this embodiment is a battery housing and is therefore also referred to below as battery housing B1, wherein at least one housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 has at least one housing-side pressure equalization opening 4, as shown in Fig. 1. For reasons of clarity, the battery housing B1 is omitted from the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 only this housing wall 3 is shown.
[0029] In this embodiment, the second component B2 is a pressure equalization device and is therefore also referred to below as pressure equalization device B2. It is arranged on an outer side of the housing wall 3 at the housing-side pressure equalization opening 4 and has a base body 5 with a device-side pressure equalization opening closed by a bursting disc, which is in, in particular, fluidic connection to the housing-side pressure equalization opening 4. By means of the four screw connection arrangements 2 in the illustrated embodiment, the base body 5 of the pressure equalization device B2 is fastened to the outer side of the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1.
[0030] In the illustrated embodiment according to Fig. 2 shows only a section of the base body 5. The device-side pressure equalization opening and the rupture disc are not shown for reasons of clarity.
[0031] The respective screw connection arrangement 2 has a first screw element S1 fastened to the outside of the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1. This first screw element S1 is designed as a threaded bolt in the illustrated embodiment and is therefore also referred to below as threaded bolt S1. The threaded bolt S1 is fastened to the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 by welding, in particular by means of a projection welding process or a tip ignition welding process. The first screw element S1 is therefore also referred to as a welding bolt. Fig. 3 to 5, this first screw element S1, designed as a threaded bolt S1, is shown in more detail.
[0032] The respective screw connection arrangement 2 further comprises a first seal D1, which completely surrounds the threaded bolt S1 on its circumference, between the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 and the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2. This prevents moisture from penetrating between the housing wall 3 and the base body 5 to the threaded bolt S1, in particular to its welded connection, in particular the weld root 12, and thus prevents the risk of corrosion.
[0033] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, the first seals D1 of the screw connection arrangements 2 are components of a sealing element 6, which is arranged between the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2 and the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 and completely encloses the housing-side pressure compensation opening 4 and the device-side pressure compensation opening. This allows the plurality of first seals D1 to be arranged together on the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2 in a particularly simple manner, and then the pressure compensation device B2 can be pushed onto the threaded bolts S1.
[0034] To make this possible, the respective screw connection arrangement 2 has a connection opening 7 in the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2 and a bushing 8 which is fastened in a rotationally fixed manner in the connection opening 7. This bushing 8 projects through the connection opening 7 on both sides of the base body 5 and rests with a respective angled collar formation 9, 10 on the respective side of the base body 5. These connection openings 7 with the bushings 8 arranged therein in a rotationally fixed manner in the base body 5 are achieved, for example, by the base body 5 being produced by injection molding, wherein the bushings 8 are injected into the base body 5, i.e. are circumferentially overmolded with a material, in particular plastic, of the base body 5.
[0035] The collar formation 9 of the bushing 8 facing the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 rests on a support formation 11 of the threaded bolt S1, which, in the illustrated embodiment, is formed, for example, in a plate-shaped or plate-edge-shaped manner around the circumference of the threaded bolt S1. This support formation 11 is particularly formed on the threaded bolt S1 such that, when the threaded bolt S1 is welded to the housing wall 3, it has a predetermined distance from the housing wall 3.
[0036] By the bushing 8 fastened in the base body 5 resting on the support formation 11 of the threaded bolt S1, the maintenance of a predetermined distance between the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2 and the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 and thus a predetermined uniform pressing of the sealing element 6, in particular also of the first seals D1, is ensured.
[0037] The respective screw connection arrangement 2 further comprises a second screw element S2 which is screwed to the threaded bolt S1 and which, in the illustrated embodiment, is designed as a screw nut and is therefore also referred to below as screw nut S2. Fig. 6 to 9, the second screw element S2, designed as a screw nut S2, is shown in more detail.
[0038] After sliding the base body 5 with its bushings 8 secured in the connecting openings 7 onto the threaded bolts S1, the respective screw nut S2 is screwed onto the respective threaded bolt S1 and tightened with a specified torque to prevent the threaded bolts S1 from tearing off. This specified torque is, for example, in a range of approximately 6.3 Nm to approximately 7.7 Nm, preferably 7 Nm.
[0039] The bushing 8, which is arranged between the screw nut S2 and the support formation 11 of the threaded bolt S1 and which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the base body 5, prevents the transmission of torque from the screw nut S2 to the threaded bolt S1, which could lead to stress cracks in the welded connection of the threaded bolt S1 to the housing wall 3. In addition, this prevents stress and the resulting possible damage to the base body 5 due to the base body 5 being compressed during tightening of the screw nut S2, because the forces of the screw connection between the screw nut S2 and the threaded bolt S1 only act on the bushing 8 and not on the base body 5, which means that the base body 5 cannot be pressed by the screw connection and damaged.
[0040] For further sealing against moisture that could penetrate along the threaded bolt S1 to its welded connection with the housing wall 3, the screw nut S2 has a second seal D2 which, when the screw nut S2 is screwed onto the threaded bolt S1, is arranged between the screw nut S2 and the collar formation 10 of the bushing 8 facing away from the housing wall 3. In the illustrated embodiment, this second seal D2 is designed as a sealing washer which is fastened to the screw nut S2 by engaging around a circumferential bead 13 of the screw nut S2.
[0041] Furthermore, for further sealing against moisture that could penetrate along the threaded bolt S1 to its welded connection with the housing wall 3, the screw nut S2 has a receiving recess 14 on a side facing away from the bushing 8, in which a third seal D3 is arranged, completely enclosing the threaded bolt S1 on its circumference and sealingly abutting the threaded bolt S1 and the screw nut S2. In the embodiment shown, this receiving recess 14 has a flange 15, so that the third seal D3 can be arranged therein, for example by pressing in with elastic deformation of the third seal D3, and is then held by the flange 15 in a form-fitting and, for example, also a force-fitting manner. Alternatively, for example, the third seal D3 can first be inserted into the receiving recess 14 and then the flange 15 can be made, i.e.An edge of the screw nut S2 is flanged inward to hold the third seal D3 in this way. This positive-locking retention of the third seal D3 by means of the flange 15 prevents, in particular, the third seal D3 from lifting off the screw nut S2 while screwing the screw nut S2 onto the threaded bolt S1.
[0042] Furthermore, the screw nut S2 has a, in particular sealing, coating 16 on its threads for further sealing against moisture that could penetrate along the threaded bolt S1 to its welded connection with the housing wall 3.
[0043] In the method for producing the component assembly 1, in the illustrated embodiment thus for producing the housing unit 1, the threaded bolts S1 are fastened to the outside of the housing wall 3 of the battery housing B1 by welding, in particular by means of the projection welding process or tip ignition welding process. The connecting openings 7 are formed in the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2 and the bushings 8 are fastened therein, in particular by forming the base body 5 by injection molding and injecting the bushings 8 into the base body 5, i.e. by being circumferentially overmolded with the material of the base body 5. The first seals D1 are arranged between the base body 5 and the housing wall 3, in particular by arranging the sealing element 6 with the first seals D1 on the base body 5 and pushing the base body 5 onto the threaded bolts S1.The screw nuts S2, each of which has the second seal D2 and the third seal D3 as well as the coating 16 of their threads, are screwed onto the threaded bolts S1, whereby the second seals D2 are arranged between the screw nuts S2 and the collar formations 10 of the bushings 8 facing away from the housing wall 3. The screw nuts S2 are tightened to the specified torque.
[0044] Since, in the described solution, all components of the screw connection arrangements 2 are located on the outer side of the housing wall 3 facing the base body 5, this solution makes it possible to fasten the pressure compensation device B2 to the outer side of the housing wall 3 by means of the screw connection arrangements 2 and to detach it again from there without having to open the battery housing B1.
[0045] The sealing concept implemented by means of the seals D1, D2, D3 and the sealing coating 16 permanently protects the screw connection arrangements 2, in particular the welded fastenings of the threaded bolts S1 to the housing wall 3, from environmental influences, especially from contact with water, and thus permanently from corrosion. Furthermore, the described solution, in particular the described design of the bushings 8 and their rotationally fixed arrangement in the base body 5 of the pressure compensation device B2, prevents stress on the welded connection of the threaded bolts S1 to the housing wall 3 during screwing and the resulting stress cracks. The bushings 8 resting on the support formations 11 of the threaded bolts S1 and firmly connected to the base body 5 also ensure a predetermined distance between the base body 5 and the housing wall 3 and thus a predetermined uniform pressing of the sealing element 6 and the first seals D1.
[0046] The bushings 8 are made, in particular, of steel and are coated, in particular, with a tin-nickel alloy or zinc-nickel alloy. The steel is, in particular, EN 10268-1.0550 HC380LA.
[0047] The battery housing B1 has in particular a cathodic dip coating and / or is coated with a tin-nickel alloy or zinc-nickel alloy.
[0048] The base body 5, as already mentioned, is made of plastic, in particular, and in particular is formed as an injection-molded part. It is made of a thermoplastic, in particular PP GF30, i.e., polypropylene with 30% glass fibers. Additionally, the base body 5 or the entire pressure compensation device B2 can be flame-retardant, in particular according to UL94 V0.
[0049] The sealing element 6 with the first seals D1 is made in particular from an elastomer, for example from silicone, and in particular has a hardness of 60 Shore A. In one possible embodiment, the sealing element 6 with the first seals D1 is made, for example, from VMQ (vinyl methyl silicone). In one possible embodiment, the sealing element 6 with the first seals D1, in particular from an elastomer, in particular from silicone, is injection-molded onto the base body 5 and / or sprayed onto it and / or injected into it. The base body 5 is then designed, for example, as a two-component component, for example a two-component injection-molded component. The above-described arrangement of the sealing element 6 with the first seals D1 on the base body 5 thus takes place in this way in this embodiment.
[0050] The second seal D2 is, in particular, a sealing disc. It is made of polyamide, in particular PA66 or PA6.6. It has, for example, a notched impact strength 1 eA (ISO 179) of 4.2 kJ / m 2 and / or a solution viscosity (m-cresol, c = 10 g / l) of 3.04 and / or a residual moisture content (Karl Fischer) of 0.06%. It is mounted captive and easily rotatable on the screw nut S2.
[0051] The third seal D3 is, in particular, a so-called polyring. It is made of polyamide, in particular PA66 or PA6.6.
[0052] The coating 16 is in particular made of acrylate or has acrylate as its chemical base. It particularly has a thread speed of 0.12 to 0.18. It particularly has a screw-in torque of 2 Nm to 5 Nm.
[0053] The S1 threaded bolt is made of C15C (1.0234) according to EN 10263-2, suitable for welding. It has a strength of 6.8 according to EN ISO 898-1. Its surface is galvanized, for example, with a galvanizing thickness of 6 µm to 12 µm, preferably 9 µm. It is colorless chromated (chromium VI-free). It has a fully formed thread.
[0054] The S2 screw nut is made of steel. The following applies in particular: strength class 8, expansion at least 6%, test load 17.2 kN. With 16 threads coated, the first thread (groove side) is exposed.
[0055] The pressure compensation device B2 comprises, for example, a membrane which is formed in particular from a plastic, in particular thermoplastic, in particular from polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
[0056] The pressure compensation device B2 comprises, for example, a particle filter which is formed in particular from metal, in particular from steel, in particular as a metal sheet, in particular steel sheet, in particular EN 10139-1.0330.
