Abstract
Description
Nozzle devices for discharging media are sufficiently known. In particular, such devices are used in the automotive industry to apply passivation, for example, in cavities of a body. Preferably, welds are protected from oxidation with the discharged media.Against this background, the object of the invention is to specify a device which further develops the prior art.The object is achieved by a nozzle device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of dependent claims.According to the subject matter of the invention, a nozzle device with a drip protection is provided. The nozzle device comprises a discharge chamber with a nozzle opening for discharging a liquid medium and an inlet chamber, which adjoins the discharge chamber in the direction of a longitudinal axis, for supplying the liquid medium.A control piston, wherein the control piston is axially displaceable between the two chambers in the direction of the longitudinal axis between an open position and a closed position. The medium has a spraying pressure in the discharge chamber in the open position and a resting pressure in the closed position, wherein the spraying pressure is greater than the resting pressure. In the closed position, the fluid connection between the inlet chamber and the discharge chamber is interrupted by means of the control piston.Due to the displacement of the control piston, the discharge chamber has a larger volume in the closed position than in the open position. When the control piston is displaced in the direction toward the closing position counter to the flow direction, an increase in volume occurs and the medium is removed from the nozzle opening in order to suppress dripping of the medium in the closing position. It should be noted that the device is provided for dispensing liquid media. Liquid media here comprise in particular organic media such as waxes and oil-based liquids. Furthermore, inorganic liquids can also be discharged with the nozzle device. It is understood that the liquids can also have temperatures above room temperature. It should also be noted that, by means of the control piston movable in the axial direction, the inlet chamber is already sealed off from the inlet chamber by the shape of the control piston during a transition from the open position to the closed position, before the control piston reaches the closed position. In other words, the fluid connection is already interrupted before reaching the closing position. It should also be noted that liquids or media are discharged which are incompressible at least to a first approximation or completely.Furthermore, it is noted that the liquid media are also referred to as fluids. In other words, the term fluid connection encompasses a connection of the media from the discharge chamber and the inlet chamber. An advantage is that, by means of the easily displaceable control piston, the volume in the discharge chamber increases in a simple and reliable manner during the transition into the closed position to such an extent that a part of the liquid medium is sucked back out of the nozzle opening. In other words, the increase in the volume occurs already before the closing position is reached.After-dripping is reliably suppressed. By the volume being increased directly in the discharge chamber at the nozzle head, a rapid suction back of the liquid to be discharged is effected when the pressure is reduced compared with the solutions hitherto used.In another development, the control piston has a head piece, a first section with a first length and a second section with a second length, wherein the first section and the second section form a guide section guided in the inlet chamber, the second section has at least one axially running connecting channel in such a way that in the open position the medium flows from the inlet chamber via the connecting channel into the discharge chamber. In a development, in the nozzle device, the connecting channel is formed as a channel-shaped depression on the lateral surface of the guide section of the control piston, wherein the connecting channel has an axial length starting from the end face of the guide section facing the inlet chamber, characterized in that, in the open position of the control piston, the connecting channel ends in the discharge chamber. In a further development, a restoring device is provided, wherein the control piston is acted upon by a force acting axially in the direction of the closing position by means of the restoring device. An advantage is that, by means of the resetting device, the control piston can be moved more quickly in the direction of the closing position when the liquid pressure is reduced. In other words, the reaction rate is increased. It is understood that the control piston and the resetting device are designed such that, at a predetermined injection pressure in the inlet chamber, the control piston is in the open position counter to the acting force of the resetting device and, when the pressure is relieved, i.e. at the idle pressure in the inlet chamber, the control piston is in the closed position by the resetting device.Furthermore, the nozzle device comprises a spring element arranged in the discharge chamber and a receiving section which continues the guide section of the control piston into the discharge chamber and has a stop element which is acted upon by the spring force of the spring element in the direction of the inflow chamber. The control piston and the spring element are designed in such a way that, at a predefined medium pressure in the inlet chamber, the control piston can be displaced into the open position counter to the spring force of the spring element and, when there is a pressure relief in the inlet chamber, the control piston can be displaced into the closed position counter to the flow direction of the medium by the spring force of the spring element, in order to suppress a posttroping of the medium. It is understood that the mechanical properties of the spring element are adapted to the variation of the medium pressure, in particular between an application of the medium and in the event of an interruption of the medium. Furthermore, it is understood that the spring material is preferably inert with respect to the medium to be discharged. An advantage of the spring element is that in the event of an interruption of the medium flow and the pressure changes caused thereby, a rapid and reliable displacement of the control piston is effected. That is to say, the reaction time of the movement of the control piston to a pressure change is reduced in comparison with an embodiment without a spring element or additional restoring device. In one embodiment, in the nozzle device for forming a shoulder in the transition from the discharge chamber to the inlet chamber, the diameter of the discharge chamber is greater than the diameter of the inlet chamber. In this case, the stop element is contour-matched to the discharge chamber and has a larger diameter than the inlet chamber in such a way that the closing position of the control piston is defined by the stop element resting against the shoulder. In the closed position, a reliable seal between the discharge chamber and the inlet chamber is achieved or the sealing effect is improved by the contour adaptation. In another embodiment, the nozzle head has a diameter in a range between 0.5 cm and 1 cm. Here, the diameter refers to a portion of the nozzle head having a uniform diameter along the axial direction. In another development, the receiving section of the control piston has a receiving pin which continues the stop element in the direction of the nozzle opening. The spring element is preferably designed as a helical spring and is arranged at least partially on the receiving pin in such a way that it is supported on the one hand on the stop element and on the other hand in the region of the nozzle opening of the discharge chamber. In other words, the receiving pin penetrates the helical spring at least partially or completely. In another embodiment, the stop element is formed cylindrically with a diameter, wherein the diameter for forming an annular gap is smaller than the diameter of the discharge chamber. In a development, the annular gap has a width of 0.05 mm to 10 mm or a width between 0.1 mm to 0.6 mm or a width of 0.1 mm to 0.4 mm or a width of 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm.It should be noted that, by means of the formation of an annular gap, the control piston can be moved easily in the axial direction, wherein the smaller the annular gap is formed, the more accurate is the guidance of the control piston in the axial direction. In another development, at least one air outlet opening is arranged at a distance laterally from the nozzle opening, wherein the air outlet opening is inclined with respect to a medium jet emerging from the nozzle opening in such a way that an air stream emerging from the air outlet opening impinges on a medium jet emerging from the nozzle opening at a distance from the nozzle opening and fans out the medium jet.In one embodiment, a plurality of air outlet openings arranged around the nozzle opening are provided. By means of the air intake openings, the liquid jet can be fanned out to form a spray mist.In another embodiment, the nozzle body has at least one air duct, wherein the air duct ends in the at least one air outlet opening or each air duct is connected to a single air outlet opening in each case.In a further development, the nozzle body has a first cylindrical housing section with a cylindrical blind bore extending in a longitudinal axis and a second cylindrical housing section with a cylindrical cavity extending in a longitudinal axis. A first section of the blind bore forms the discharge chamber. A second portion of the blind bore receives a tubular flange of the second housing portion, wherein the cavity of the tubular flange forms the inflow chamber and the cavity is formed at the opposite end of the tubular flange for receiving a tubular lance connection. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Identical parts are labeled with identical designations. The embodiments shown are schematic, i.e. the distances and the lateral and the vertical extents are not to scale and, unless stated otherwise, also do not have any geometric relations which can be derived from one another. Furthermore, the nozzle device 10 comprises a displaceable control piston 4 with a guide section 4.1 guided in the inlet chamber 3.The control piston 4 can be moved back and forth along a longitudinal axis S between an open position I and a closed position II, wherein the open position I is spaced apart from the closed position II along the longitudinal axis S.In the illustration of FIG. 2, a detailed cross-sectional view along the longitudinal axis S of the nozzle device 10 is shown during the application of a medium. Only the differences from the illustration of FIG. 1 are explained below. The guide portion 4.1 of the control block 4 has an overall length comprising a first length L and a second length LV. Furthermore, the guide section 4.1 has a diameter d1-e, wherein d1 is the diameter of the cylindrical inlet chamber 3 running in the axial direction. The diameter d1-e of the guide section 4.1 is smaller by a small amount e than the diameter d1 of the inlet chamber 3. As a result, the guide section 4.1 can be moved easily to and fro in the axial direction in the inlet chamber 3 without the control piston 4 having too much play perpendicular to the axial direction. Preferably, the amount e is below 1 mm.Furthermore, the control block 4 has at least one, in the present case exactly three, axially extending connecting channels 4.10 with the first length L on the guide section 4.1. The three connecting channels 4.10 are arranged along the circumference of the control piston 4 at an angle of 120° to one another. The connecting channels 4.10 are designed in such a way that in the open position I the inlet chamber 3 is connected to the discharge chamber 2 via the connecting channel 4.10 and in the closed position II the fluid connection between the inlet chamber 3 and the discharge chamber 2 is interrupted. The connecting channel 4.10 is formed in the present case as a channel-shaped depression on the circumferential surface of the guide section 4.1 of the control piston 4. The connecting channel 4.10 has an axial length L starting from the end face 4.11 of the guide section 4.1 facing the inlet chamber 3, wherein the connecting channel 4.10 ends in the discharge chamber 2 in the open position I of the control piston 4.An advantage of the connecting channel 4.10 is that the amount of liquid medium flowing through increases in the open position I between the discharge chamber and the inlet chamber. In order to form a shoulder 6 in the transition from the discharge chamber 2 to the inlet chamber 3, the diameter D of the discharge chamber 2 is greater than the diameter d 1 of the inlet chamber 3.Furthermore, the receiving section 4.2 of the control piston 4 has a receiving pin 4.4 which continues the stop element 4.3 in the direction of the nozzle opening 2.1.In order to move the control piston 4 counter to a flow direction R of the medium into the closed position II, a spring element 5 is arranged in the discharge chamber 2.Furthermore, the nozzle device 10 has a receiving section 4.2 which continues the guide section 4.1 of the control piston 4 into the discharge chamber 2 and has a stop element 4.3 which is acted upon by the spring force of the spring element 5 in the direction of the inlet chamber 3.The control piston 4 and the spring element 5 are designed in such a way that, at a predefined medium pressure in the inlet chamber 3, the control piston 4 can be displaced into the open position I counter to the spring force of the spring element 5.The spring element 5 is designed as a spiral spring in the present case and is arranged at least partially on the receiving pin 4.4 in such a way that it is supported on the one hand on the stop element 4.3 and on the other hand in the region of the nozzle opening 2.1 of the discharge chamber 2.The stop element 4.3 is formed cylindrically with a diameter D1. In this case, the diameter D 1 for forming an annular gap 7 is smaller than the diameter D of the discharge chamber 2.Furthermore, the nozzle body 1 has a first cylindrical housing section 1.1 with a cylindrical blind bore 1.10 extending in a longitudinal axis S and a second cylindrical housing section 1.2 with a cylindrical cavity 1.20 extending in a longitudinal axis S.Furthermore, a first section 1.11 of the blind bore 1.10 forms the discharge chamber 2, wherein a second section 1.12 of the blind bore 1.10 accommodates a tubular flange 1.20 of the second housing section 1.2.The cavity 1.21 of the tubular flange 1.20 forms the inlet chamber 3, wherein the cavity 1.21 is formed at the opposite end of the tubular flange 1.20 for receiving a tubular lance connection 11.1.When the pressure in the inlet chamber 3 of the control piston 4 is relieved, the control piston 4 is displaced into the closed position II by the spring force of the spring element 5. As a result of the increase in the volume in the discharge chamber 2 occurring during the displacement of the control piston 4, the medium is sucked back from the nozzle opening 2.1 and, as a result, a retroping of the medium is reliably suppressed.FIG. 3 shows a cross-sectional view of a nozzle device 10 according to the invention during an interruption of the application of a medium. Only the differences from those in connection with the illustration of FIG. 2 are explained below. In the present case, the control piston 4 is arranged counter to the flow direction R of the medium in the closed position II. In other words, as a result of an interruption of the medium flow, the pressure in the supply chamber 3 has dropped and the control piston 4 is arranged in the closing position II.In the illustration of FIG. 5, a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal axis S onto a further nozzle device 10 according to the invention is shown during the application of a medium. The illustration in FIG. 5 likewise shows a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal axis S onto the nozzle device 10 in FIG. 4 during an interruption of the application of a medium. It is understood that the control piston 4 is arranged in the open position I in the illustration of FIG. 4 and in the closed position II in the illustration of FIG. 5.The nozzle device 10 has a plurality of air outlet openings 8 laterally spaced apart from the nozzle opening 2.1, wherein the air outlet openings 8 are inclined with respect to a medium jet emerging from the nozzle opening 2.1 in such a way that in each case an air stream emerging from the air outlet opening 8 impinges on a medium jet emerging from the nozzle opening 2.1 at a distance from the nozzle opening 2.1 and fans out the medium jet. Each of the air outlet openings 8 formed in the nozzle body 1 is connected to exactly one air channel 9. The air duct 9 ends at the respectively assigned air outlet opening 8, the air outlet opening 8 and the respectively assigned air duct 9 having the same diameter, wherein the diameter is constant along the air duct 9.In the illustration of FIG. 6, an enlarged plan view of an essential part of the control piston 4 of the nozzle device 10 is illustrated. Only the differences from those in connection with the preceding figures will be explained below. The control piston 4 comprises, in the direction of the longitudinal axis S, the guide section 4.1, the stop element 4.3 and the receiving section 4.2 with the receiving pin 4.4. The diameter D2 of the receiving pin 4.4 is smaller than the diameter D1 of the stop element 4.3. As a result, a receiving shoulder 4.20 for one side of the spring element is not shown.Furthermore, the diameter d1 of the guide section 4.1 is likewise smaller than the diameter D1 of the stop element 4.3. The conical sealing surface 4.30 can thereby be formed. The connecting channels 4.10 all have the same length L.The illustration of FIGS. 7 and 8 shows detailed views of the control piston 4, illustrated in conjunction with FIG. 6, and the illustration of FIG. 7 shows a perspective view of the end face 4.11 of the front part of the guide section 4.1 of the control piston 4, three connecting channels 4.11 spaced apart from one another at an angle of 120° being formed. The end face 4.11 is preferably planar. The illustration in FIG. 8 shows the configuration of the annular gap 7 with a width b on account of the somewhat smaller diameter D 1 of the stop element 4.3 of the receiving section 4.2 of the control piston 4 in comparison with the diameter D of the discharge chamber 2.FIG. 9 shows an overview of the nozzle device 10 according to the invention as part of a lance 11 during the discharge of a medium. Only the differences from those in connection with the preceding figures will be explained below. The nozzle body 1 has the nozzle head 1.0 on the front side. In the present case, a liquid jet FST emerges as medium through the nozzle head 1.0. The liquid jet FST is laminar, i.e. the liquid jet has substantially the same diameter. Together with the liquid jet FST, an air flow LUFF formed from a plurality of partial flows also exits. The number of the multiple partial streams is directly caused by the number of air outlet openings 8 on the nozzle head 1.0. At a distance A from the nozzle opening 2.1, also referred to as focal point BR, the air flow LUFF impinges on the liquid jet FST and fans the liquid jet FST into a spray jet SPT.The illustration in FIG. 10 shows a plan view of the nozzle head 1 of the nozzle device 10 according to the invention. Only the differences from those in connection with the preceding figures will be explained below. On the conically designed end face 1.0 of the nozzle head 1, a total of six air outlet openings 8 are arranged concentrically. The air outlet openings 8 are all at the same distance from the nozzle opening 2.1. On an imaginary circle, the circular arc section between the air outlet openings 8 is in each case of the same size.REFERENCE NUMERALS1 Nozzle body 1.0 Nozzle head 1.1 First housing section of the nozzle body 1 1.10 Blind bore of the first housing section 1.1 1.11 First section of the blind bore 1.10 1.12 Second section of the blind bore 1.10 1.2 Second housing section of the nozzle body 1 1.20 Tubular flange of the second housing section 1.2 1.21 Channel of the tubular flange 1.20 1.22 Cylindrical cavity of the second housing section 1.2 2 Discharge chamber 2.1 Nozzle opening 3 Inlet chamber 4 Control piston 4.1 Guide section 4.10 Connecting channel of the guide section 4.1 4.11 End face of the guide section 4.1 4.12 Transition section 4.2 Receiving section of the control piston 4 4.20 Receiving shoulder for spring element 4.3 Stop element of the receiving section 4.2 4.30 Sealing surface 4.4 Receiving pin of the receiving section 4.2 5 Spring element 6 Shoulder between the nozzle body.
