Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a fastening element for a facade panel, in particular a thin composite panel, having the features of the preamble of claim 1 and an arrangement comprising a facade panel and the fastening element fixed to a rear side of the facade panel.
[0002] Patent application EP0547208A1 discloses a multi-part fastening element for a facade panel with two claws that extend diagonally toward each other or diagonally away from each other and are inserted into correspondingly diagonal slots in the back of the facade panel. The claws are components of two parts of the known fastening element, which can be moved relative to each other using a screw such that the distance between the two claws can be adjusted. By reducing the distance between the two claws that extend diagonally toward each other or increasing the distance between the two claws that extend diagonally away from each other, the fastening element is brought into contact with the back of the facade panel and secured to the back of the facade panel.
[0003] Patent EP 1 349 993 A1 also discloses a multi-part fastening element for a facade panel with two identical, strip-shaped, and angled parts that are clamped together with a screw and nut inserted through a through-hole in one leg of the two parts, such that the two legs abut each other with the through-hole and the two other legs extend diagonally away from each other. Overall, a Y-shaped arrangement of the fastening element results. The two legs, which extend diagonally away from each other, are inserted into correspondingly diagonally away slots in the rear side of the facade panel, and by clamping the two other legs of the two angled parts together as described above, the fastening element is secured to the rear side of the facade panel.
[0004] The object of the invention is to propose an alternative fastening element for a facade panel.
[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. The fastening element according to the invention has a first part with a first claw and a second part with a second claw. The claws are, for example, plate-shaped elements, regions, or sections of the two parts that are provided for countersinking into slots that run diagonally toward or away from one another in the back of a facade panel. The claws do not have to have a shape reminiscent of a claw. The back of the facade panel is a side of the facade panel that faces the wall when the facade panel is fastened to a wall with fastening elements according to the invention.
[0006] The two claws are located on one side of an imaginary plane of the fastening element and extend diagonally toward each other or diagonally away from each other. This applies in any case to an assembled state of the fastening element in which the two parts of the fastening element are connected to each other in a predetermined manner and in which the fastening element can be secured to the back of the facade panel. The imaginary plane is, in particular, parallel to the back of the facade panel or even coincides with the back of the facade panel if the fastening element is secured to the back of the facade panel in its assembled state in the predetermined manner.
[0007] The two parts of the fastening element according to the invention have an overlapping area in which they overlap each other. This also applies, at least in the assembled state, in which the two parts of the fastening element are connected to each other in the intended manner.
[0008] Furthermore, the fastening element according to the invention has a connecting device with which a force perpendicular to the imaginary plane can be exerted on the two parts, which secures the two parts to one another in the overlapping area in such a way that - as explained above - the two claws are located on one side of the imaginary plane and run away from the plane, i.e., with increasing distance from the plane, obliquely towards or away from one another. In particular, the force exerted by the connecting device on the two parts of the fastening element is a clamping force that clamps the two parts against one another in the overlapping area. "Perpendicular" can have a tolerance of up to 10°, i.e., the force exerted by the connecting device acts perpendicularly or at an angle of at least 80° (instead of exactly 90° for a force perpendicular to the imaginary plane) to the imaginary plane. If the fastening element according to the invention is fixed in its assembled state in the intended manner to the back of the facade panel, the force of the connecting device acts perpendicularly - if necessary with a tolerance of up to 10° - to the back of the facade panel, whereby the connecting device exerts the force exclusively on the two parts - and if necessary on further parts or elements - of the fastening element and preferably not on the facade panel itself.
[0009] An advantage of the invention is good accessibility of the connecting device for generating force when fixing the fastening element to the back of the facade panel, in particular when the connecting device has a screw connection.
[0010] The dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention defined in claim 1.
[0011] In the assembled state of the fastening element, the two claws preferably have the same angle to the imaginary plane, i.e. in the assembled state of the fastening element, the two claws are on the same side of the imaginary plane at the same angle and oppositely inclined to the imaginary plane from the imaginary plane to which the force of the connecting device acts perpendicularly.
[0012] The connecting device preferably comprises a screw connection. For example, the connecting device comprises a screw that passes through through holes in the overlapping area of the two parts and onto which a nut is screwed on an opposite side of the overlapping area of the two parts, or a screw that passes through a through hole in the overlapping area in one of the two parts and is screwed into an internal thread in the overlapping area in the other part.
[0013] One embodiment of the invention provides a recess in the overlap area on a side of the second part facing away from the first part. The recess is designed and arranged in such a way that a view of the screw exit of a screw of the screw connection is possible when the fastening element is secured to the back of the facade panel in the assembled state. This embodiment of the invention enables a visual inspection of whether the screw is pressing against the back of the facade panel or has even penetrated the back of the facade panel, which is undesirable in most embodiments of the invention.
[0014] One embodiment of the invention provides a positioning device that positions the two parts of the fastening element in the assembled state by means of a positive fit such that a distance between the two claws is determined. It is also possible for the positioning device to determine a maximum or minimum distance between the two claws in the assembled state of the fastening element.
[0015] A further development of the invention provides that the positioning device has a groove on or in the first part and a complementary elevation on the second part. The groove and the elevation are located in the overlap region of the fastening element, in which the two parts overlap when the fastening element is assembled and, in particular, abut one another when assembled. The groove is located in a side of the first part of the fastening element according to the invention that faces the second part when assembled, and the complementary elevation is located on a side of the second part of the fastening element according to the invention that faces the first part when assembled. "Complementary" does not necessarily mean - at least here - that the elevation has a negative form of the groove. The shapes or cross-sections of the groove and the elevation can be identical, opposite, or different.“Complementary” means that the elevation and the groove interact in the assembled state of the fastening element according to the invention in such a way that, due to the positive engagement of the elevation in the groove, they position the two parts of the fastening element according to the invention relative to one another in such a way that the distance between the two claws is fixed.
[0016] Another development of the invention provides that the positioning device has complementary stops on the two parts of the fastening element, which determine the distance between the two claws when they abut one another in the assembled state of the fastening element.
[0017] Preferably, at least one, and preferably both, parts of the fastening element according to the invention are profile parts with a constant cross-section across their length or width. This means that one or both parts can be manufactured by bending or folding a sheet metal strip, or by extrusion, extrusion, or impact molding. The invention is not limited to the aforementioned manufacturing methods.
[0018] One embodiment of the invention provides four parts instead of two, each with one claw, i.e., a total of four claws. The four parts are arranged "crosswise," which means that two claws are arranged in pairs opposite each other at a distance from each other, whereby the distances between the opposing claws can be the same or different. The claws are arranged in the middle of the sides of an imaginary square or rectangle, or in pairs opposite each other on the sides of an imaginary rhombus. This embodiment of the invention improves the hold of the fastening element on or in the back of the facade panel and is intended in particular for a thin facade panel and / or for a facade panel in which there is a high risk of the claws of the fastening element tearing out or breaking out.
[0019] One embodiment of the invention provides a spacer in the overlap area of the two parts of the fastening element according to the invention, which spacer rests perpendicularly to the imaginary plane. In particular, the spacer rests perpendicularly on the back of the facade panel when the fastening element is secured to the back of the facade panel in the intended manner in the assembled state. This means that the spacer maintains the overlap area at a fixed or determinable distance from the back of the facade panel.
[0020] One embodiment of the invention provides that one of the two parts of the fastening element according to the invention, for example, the second part of the fastening element, has a hanger for hanging or suspending from a horizontal profile support. The facade panel can thus be easily attached to a wall by hanging or suspending it. A profile support is not mandatory; other mounting options on the wall can also be provided.
[0021] The invention further relates to an arrangement of a facade panel, in particular a thin composite panel, which has, for example, a thin mineral core and two aluminum cover layers as the front and back, to the back of which one or preferably more fastening elements according to the invention are fixed in order to fasten the facade panel, for example, to a wall of a building or generally to a structure. The back of the facade panel is the side of the facade panel facing the wall or the side of the facade panel to which the fastening element(s) are or will be fixed. In the back of the facade panel, slots or the like running diagonally towards one another or diagonally apart are provided at the distance of the claws of the fastening element, into which the claws are inserted to secure the fastening element to the back of the facade panel.Undercuts other than slots can also be created in the facade panel. If the facade panel is soft enough, the claws of the fastener can also be inserted into the back of the facade panel without first creating slots or other undercuts in the back of the facade panel.
[0022] The features and combinations of features, embodiments and configurations of the invention mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or drawn in a figure can be used not only in the respective combination specified or drawn, but also in principle any other combinations or individually. Embodiments of the invention are possible which do not have all the features of a dependent claim. Individual features of a claim can also be replaced by other disclosed features or combinations of features. Embodiments of the invention which do not have all the features of the embodiment(s), but basically any part of the identified features of an embodiment, optionally in combination with one, several or all features of one or more further embodiments, are possible.
[0023] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a perspective view of a first embodiment of a fastening element according to the invention; Fig. 2 a perspective view of the fastening element from Fig. 1 facing an opposite side as in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a longitudinal section in a transverse center of the fastening element Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 during assembly; Fig. 4 the longitudinal section of the fastening element Fig. 1 to 3 in an assembled state; Fig. 5 a perspective view of a second embodiment of a fastening element according to the invention; Fig. 6 a perspective view of the fastening element from Fig. 5 facing an opposite side as in Fig. 5; Fig. 7 a longitudinal section in a transverse center of the fastening element Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 during assembly; Fig. 8 the longitudinal section of the fastening element Fig. 5 to 7 in an assembled state; Fig. 9 a perspective view of a third embodiment of a fastening element according to the invention; Fig. 10 a longitudinal or cross-section through a center of the fastening element from Fig. 9; and Fig. 11 a longitudinal or cross-sectional view through a center of a fourth embodiment of a fastening element according to the invention.
[0024] In principle, identical parts in the figures are provided with identical reference numbers.
[0025] The Fig. The fastening element 1 according to the invention, shown in Figures 1 to 4, is intended for fastening a facade panel 2 to a wall (not shown) of a building or, in general, a structure. The fastening element 1 is secured in a concealed manner to a rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 facing the wall. "Concealed" means that the fastening element 1 is not visible from a visible side or a front side 4 of the facade panel 2 facing away from the wall.
[0026] The fastening element 1 has a first part 5, a second part 6 and a connecting device 7 which has a screw 8.
[0027] In the Fig. In the exemplary embodiment of the invention illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, the first and second parts 5, 6 are bent sheet metal parts, which—in the exemplary embodiment—are produced by bending a sheet metal part into a sheet metal profile and subsequently separating it from the sheet metal profile. The two parts 5, 6 have a consistent profile or a consistent longitudinal section across their entire width.
[0028] The two parts 5, 6 have an overlapping area 9 in which they have a one-dimensional curvature 10 in the same direction, extending in the direction of the width of the two parts 5, 6. In a longitudinal direction of the two parts 5, 6, flat sections 11 adjoin the curvature 10 on both sides, each in a common plane. The flat sections 11 are parts of the overlapping area 9.
[0029] The two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 are - as in Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 4 - assembled in such a way that a convex side of the curvature 10 of the second part 6 lies in a concave side of the curvature 10 of the first part 5. The concave side of the curvature 10 in the overlap region 9 of the first part 5 forms the groove 12 on the side facing the second part 6, and the convex side of the curvature 10 in the overlap region 9 of the second part 6 forms the elevation 13 projecting towards the first part 5 and lying in the groove 12. The state of the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention, in which the overlap regions 9 of the two parts 5, 6 abut one another and the elevation 13 of the second part 5 engages the groove 12 of the first part 5, is referred to here as the assembled state of the fastening element 1. In the assembled state, the overlapping areas 9 of the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention overlap each other.
[0030] In the longitudinal direction, adjacent to the overlapping areas 9 on one side, the two parts 5, 6 are first bent obliquely to the sides on which the curvature 10 is convex, and then bent in a U-shape to the opposite side, such that end sections of the two parts 5, 6 extend obliquely toward one another on the same side of the two parts 5, 6. The end sections extending toward one another on the same side of the two parts 5, 6 form a first claw 14 of the first part 5 and a second claw 15 of the second part 6.
[0031] Both claws 14, 15 are located on the same side of the two parts 5, 6, in the exemplary embodiment, on the side where the curvatures 10 are concave. Both claws 14, 15 are located on the same side of an imaginary plane 16, which lies on the side of the flat sections 11 of the overlapping area 9 of the second part 6 facing away from the first part 5. This imaginary plane 16 can also be considered the reference plane of the fastening element 1 according to the invention.
[0032] The two claws 14, 15 protrude obliquely toward each other at the same angle α to the imaginary plane 16 on the same side of the plane 16. Equal angles α of the claws 14, 15 to the imaginary plane 16 are not mandatory for the invention. It is also possible to design the fastening element 1 with claws 14, 15 protruding obliquely from each other at the same or different angles from the plane 16 (not shown).
[0033] In the curvatures 10, the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention each have a through-hole 17, which are aligned with each other in the assembled state. The through-hole 17 of the second part 6 has an internal thread 18 into which a screw 8 is or will be screwed, which is inserted through the through-hole 17 of the first part 5. The screw 19 clamps the two parts 5, 6 together in their overlapping area 9.
[0034] The screw 8 and the internal thread 18 form the connecting device 7 of the fastening element 1, with which the two parts 5, 6 can be fixed to each other in the overlapping area 9. A force F ( Fig. 4) acts perpendicular to the imaginary plane 16 on the two parts 5, 6.
[0035] With the screw 8 and the internal thread 18, the connecting device 7 has a screw connection.
[0036] To secure the fastening element 1 to the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2, two slots 21 are provided in the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 at an angle corresponding to the angle α of the claws 14, 15 and at a distance corresponding to the distance between the claws 14, 15. The slots 21 can generally also be considered as undercut recesses in the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2.Next, the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1, which are not yet or at least not yet rigidly connected to one another, are arranged on the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 in such a way that the two claws 14, 15 engage in the slots 21 in the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2, the overlapping areas 9 of the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 are located on the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 and overlap one another, and the overlapping area 9 of the second part 6 is located between the facade panel 2 and the overlapping area 9 of the first part 5 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention.
[0037] When the through-hole 17 in the overlapping area 9 of the first part 5 is aligned with the internal thread 18 in the overlapping area 9 of the second part 5, the screw 8, which forms the connecting device 7, is inserted through the through-hole 17 into the internal thread 18, screwed in, and tightened. The screw 8 clamps the overlapping areas 9 of the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention together such that the two parts 5, 6 are fixed to one another. The claws 14, 15, which engage in the slots 21 in the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2, secure the fastening element 1 to the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2. The overlapping area 9 of the second part 6 can, but does not have to, rest against the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2. Likewise, the screw 8 can rest lightly on the back 3 of the facade panel 2 or be spaced apart from the back 3 of the facade panel 2.The force F exerted by the screw 8 forming the connecting device 7 on the two parts 5, 6 acts perpendicular to the imaginary plane 16 of the fastening element 1, which is parallel to the back 3 of the facade panel 2 and which may coincide with the back 3 of the facade panel 2.
[0038] If the facade panel 2 is soft enough, the claws 14, 15 can also be pressed into its back side 3 without first making slots 21 in the back side 3 of the facade panel 2.
[0039] The curvatures 10 in the overlapping areas 9 of the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention, which form the groove 12 and the elevation 13 which engages in the groove 12, form a positioning device 22 of the fastening element 1, which determines the distance between the two claws 14, 15 from one another by means of a positive fit.
[0040] When the two parts 5, 6 are fixed to each other with the screw 8 such that their overlapping areas 9 overlap and the elevation 13 in the overlapping area 9 of the second part 6 engages in the groove 12 in the overlapping area 9 of the first part 5, the two parts 5, 6 or the fastening element 1 have the assembled state.
[0041] In addition, the concave side of the curvature 10 in the overlap region 9 of the second part 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention forms a recess 23, which allows a view of the screw exit of the screw 8 from the internal thread 18. The curvature 10 is located in the overlap region 9 of the second part 6, which is located between the overlap region 9 of the first part 5 and the back side 3 of the facade panel 2, and the concave side of this curvature 10 faces the back side 3 of the facade panel 2. The recess 23 enables a visual inspection, when the fastening element 1 is fixed to the back side 3 of the facade panel 2 in the assembled state, as to whether the screw 8 is in contact with the back side 3 of the facade panel 2 or is at a distance from the back side 3 of the facade panel 2.
[0042] In the following description of the further embodiments of fastening elements 1 according to the invention, the differences to the first, in Fig. 1 to 4 and supplements the above explanations regarding Fig. 1 to 4. Identical elements are designated by the same reference numerals throughout the figures.
[0043] In the Fig. In the second embodiment of the invention shown in Figures 5 to 8, the two parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1 are extruded parts made of an aluminum alloy. As in the first embodiment, they have an overlapping area 9, in which the two parts 5, 6 overlap in the assembled state, and claws 14, 15 extending obliquely toward each other.
[0044] Instead of the bulges 10, the two parts 5, 6 of the second embodiment of the fastening element 1 according to the invention have a V-shaped groove 24, which can also be understood as sawtooth-shaped and is referred to below as a V-groove 24, in the side of the overlap region 9 of the second part 6 facing the first part 5 and a complementary elevation 25 on the side facing the second part 6 in the overlap region 9 of the first part 5, which engages in the V-groove 24 in the assembled state. The V-groove 24 and the elevation 25 extend in the direction of a width of the two parts 5, 6 and are arranged in the overlap region 9 next to the through-hole 17 and the internal thread 18. They form a positioning device 22 which, in the assembled state when the elevation 25 engages in the groove 24, determines a distance between the two claws 14, 15.Steep and short flanks of the sawtooth-shaped V-groove 24 and the sawtooth-shaped elevation 25, which are perpendicular or almost perpendicular to the imaginary plane 16, form a first stop 26 of the positioning device 22 on the first part 5 and a second stop 27 on the second part 6 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention, which determine the distance between the two claws 14, 15 when the stops 26, 27 abut one another.
[0045] The two parts 5, 6 of the second embodiment of the invention are connected and fixed to one another as in the first embodiment with a screw 8 as connecting device 7, which is screwed through the through hole 17 in the overlap area 9 of the first part 5 into the internal thread 18 in the overlap area 9 of the second part 6.
[0046] As a recess 23 for visual inspection of whether the screw 8 of the fastening element 1 according to the invention, which is fixed to the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 in the assembled state, rests against the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 or is at a distance from the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2, the second part 6 in the second exemplary embodiment has, in the side of the overlapping area 9 facing away from the first part 5 and facing the facade panel 2, a groove extending across the width of the second part 6, into which the through hole with the internal thread 18 opens.
[0047] Otherwise, the two parts 5, 6 of the first and second embodiments of the fastening element 1 according to the invention are of identical design and function in the same way. For an explanation of the second embodiment, reference is made to the explanations of the first embodiment.
[0048] The Fig. 9 and Fig. The third exemplary embodiment of a fastening element 1 according to the invention, shown in Figure 10, has two pairs of first and second parts 5, 6 that are arranged "crosswise." This means that a first part 5 with a first claw 14 and an associated second part 6 with a second claw 15 are designed as described above for the first and second exemplary embodiments and are assembled in the assembled state. The other first and second parts 5, 6 are also associated with one another and are arranged at an angular offset of - in the exemplary embodiment 90° - from the one first and second part 5, 6 such that the total of four claws 14, 15 are located in the centers of the sides of an imaginary square. The overlapping areas 9 of all four parts 5, 6 overlap one another and have through-holes 17 that are aligned with one another in the assembled state.
[0049] In the third exemplary embodiment of the fastening element 1 according to the invention, none of the through-holes 17 has an internal thread 18; instead, a polygonal spacer 28 is or will be arranged on a side of the overlapping area 9 of the second part 6 facing the facade panel 2, which side is closest to the facade panel 2. The spacer 28 rests against the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 when the fastening element 1 is secured to the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 in the assembled state as intended, with the total of four claws 14, 15 engaging in slots 21 provided obliquely on the sides of the imaginary square in the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2. The spacer 28 is located between the facade panel 2 and the overlapping area 9 of the fastening element 1 and supports the overlapping area 9 on the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2.The rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 forms the imaginary plane 16, from which the four claws 14, 15 protrude on one side, namely the side facing the facade panel 2, at - in the embodiment example equal angles α.
[0050] The spacer 28 has a threaded hole 29 that is aligned with the through holes 17 in the overlapping areas 9 of the first and second parts 5, 6 of the fastening element 1. The screw 8, which together with the threaded hole 29 forms the connecting device 7 for fixing the overlapping areas 9 and thus the parts 5, 6 to one another, is passed through the through holes 17 in the overlapping areas 9 of the first and second parts 5, 6 and screwed into the threaded hole 29 of the spacer 28. The force F that the screw 8 or the connecting device 7 exerts on the overlapping areas 9 of the parts 5, 6 acts perpendicular to the imaginary plane 16. The spacer 28 supports the overlapping areas 9 of the parts 5, 6 perpendicular to the imaginary plane 16 or perpendicular to the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2.
[0051] Fig.11 shows a fourth exemplary embodiment of the invention, in which the fastening element 1, as in the first two exemplary embodiments, has two parts 5, 6, each with a claw 14, 15. In contrast to the first two exemplary embodiments, one of the two parts 5, 6, in the exemplary embodiment the first part 5, has a hook as a hanger 30, with which the fastening element 1 can be suspended, for example, from a horizontal profile support 31 or from another fastener (not shown). The hanger 30 is arranged - in the exemplary embodiment - opposite the first claw 14 or, in embodiments of the invention not shown, on the same side as the first claw 14 on the first part 5.
[0052] The hanger 30 enables the facade panel 2 to be hung on a wall (not shown). For this purpose, two fastening elements 1 are preferably arranged next to each other at a distance, or four fastening elements 1 are arranged at the corners of an imaginary square on the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2.
[0053] The height of the fastening element 1 can be adjusted using an adjusting screw 32, which is screwed through a corresponding threaded hole in the hanger 30 and which sits on the profile support.
[0054] The facade panel 2 and one of the four fastening elements 1 according to the invention explained above, which in the assembled state is fixed to the rear side 3 of the facade panel 2 with its claws 14, 15 engaging in the slots 21, form an arrangement according to the invention of the facade panel 2 with the fastening element 1.
